I also had a presentation at Bluegreen sales site in Fl. Everything was presented so wonderful and so easy to use. So, in one of my lapses in judgement I signed contract and put down payment of over 2 grand. After returning home and checking on feedback on sites such as this. I sat down and did the math. After ten years term on their self financed loan and adding up the yearly maint. fees estimating a 5% increase each year, I came up with over 40 thousand spent in ten years on a 17 thousand timeshare. That just covers part. I still wouyld have membership dues with RCI and oyther fees associated with timeshare ownership. Now if you look on VRBO in say Myrtle Beach for same type of accomodations you will see $1100 - $1200 per week average. It just didn't add up. UI then talked with my wife and we cancelled our contract within the ten day window provided in contract with no penalty. I have yet to see my down payment, but they sent me letter saying it was in process.
