Below is a copy of my correspondence with Better Homes & Gardens. I bought a back issue of one of their magazines via their website for my son's bedroom. We were interested in purchasing or building the bed with build in shelves. The magazine sent did not have the information. I sent a reply as listed below and spoke to a rep via the subscription line, who could offer no further contact numbers (however, was kind on the phone-unlike the customer service for the email responses.) To date, I have not had any further information from BHG. My feeling is that the customer base is so large that they feel that it is of lesser importance to reply to something so small as a request for information regarding a purchase.

My thought is: "what would the advertisers who sell products listed in their decorating pages think of the fact that a consumer wanted to purchase and was blown off?" Please post this for other BHG subscribers to think twice before renewing the magazine.

My first email in March to you did not go through due to an error on my part (frustration.)

The information automatically pulled up when I clicked on the room site and showed me your order form. It came up as "this room cab found in this issue" and listed the amount. I followed your online directions and bought the back issue.

Are you going to supply me with the information for the MOD ROOM or are you more worried about whether or not I am asking for a refund? I can honestly say that the response below has me less enthusiastic with purchasing a subscription or ever bothering with BHG again.

Never mind: I will send the magazine back in the original box. Please place a refund my credit card. I will send it certified mail--- just in case it gets lost. I will not trouble you with an inquiry into any of your products or services again.

bought the product and it only has 3 containers in the box instead of 4 that was suppose to be there. I am missing the 16 cup container and lid. Just wanted to inform someone in case this has happened a few times. I cannot send picture, I am 65 and doing this took a lot

I am missing four of the parts that are labeled D. Without these parts I am obviously unable to assemble the 12 cube organizer. When I try the help number included in the package, I can not get ahold of anyone and have left numerous messages.

I recently purchased a wax warmer for my home and the top bowl where the wax melts does not level in, in other words, even to fit into the actual warmer. It’s truly disappointing. I went back into Walmart and returned it for the same exact wax warmer and it had the same issue.

This product is absolutely horrible, I just bought it and have to use tape to hold the slots in place. Whatever staples you are using to hold it in place keep pulling right out. Bought today 4/8/2023

I bought a 16in black pedestal fan today at Walmart and there was no cross stand piece so I can’t even use the fan because it can’t stand up! I need a cross stand piece to attach the pole to the motor piece. Where can I get one?

sectional was delivered on Wednesday which i purchased from Walmart It rained on Friday the cushions were completely soaked through, I would not have expected this to have happened since it outdoor furniture and should have been protected from water I assumed Have not bought furniture in 20 years so VERY disappointed in your product ,

We brought soup bowls from Walmart made by Better Homes & Garden, we noticed they paint was coming off as we used them. We stopped using them due to fear of paint poison. we don't have any information on order, dates, or when they were bought .

I get people want attention and want to be different but your company clearly states who they are for and that is wrong I will never buy another magazine from u guys again

I bought a candle Soft Cashmere Amber and never had trouble with them but one wick of the candle was lying down and the side got hot and literally blew the front of the candle off. I was lucky no one was on the couch at that time.

I purchased at Wal Mart, is missing the hardware to assemble and the instructions. I just the screws/nuts. I called the customer service number, but that directed to me the instructions I don't have. Would just like to assemble and my Wal Mart isn't accepting returns right now.

The last 2 times I have bought this candle it only burned halfway and then would not light anymore because the wick is to short. All kinds of wax built up on the sides.

I need the adapter for my prentiss lights it is model number pw903p-a3512 input is 120 volts i bought them last year and i need it we spend alot of money we have at least 15 lights hooked up to it

3 end pieces no middle received. Checked another one in store same thing! Have screwed brackets on wall. Send me a middle piece 1 inch diameter brushed nickel. Why don't you check your products being boxed?! Common issue. Look at complaints on google. Walmart useless. Want me ti return whole thing?

I purchased 8 adapters along with all the lighting to use outdoors. All except one adapter is working. I would like a refund or send me adapters that work. I purchased these from walmart.

i received a set of satin stripe sheets as a Christmas gift. They began to shrink after the first cool wash. I never leave them in the dryer until completely dry because of shrinkage which according to the label is not supposed to happen. Now they will not stay on my mattress and the pillow cases barely fit my standard pillows. I could not return them to Walmart because they were a gift. I did check the price and they are at least $40.00. Who may I speak to about this? I have another set of sheets so I do not use the Better Homes & Gardens ones every time. I will not make a purchase to replace these. After years of subscribing to their magazine, I would expect better service.

I just bought 4 BHG king size pillowcases at walmart, and after the first wash the seams started coming apart. I looked at them, and there is NO SEAM! The fabric was temporaily joined by a finishing/edging stitch never intended to join them. Made in India. I had to restitch them all. For $30 for 4, this was a big ripoff. Beyond shoddy.

I received a correspondence regarding the payment of a book titled Christmas 5th volume 21. I have received several other correspondences regarding the payment request. With each payment request I returned a letter informing the company that I do not have this publication in my possession. The book was mailed to me without my interest. This had occurred previously and I paid for the publication. When this book arrived I opened the letter attached to the outside of the cardboard box. I inserted a paper with a return address found on the letter. The publication was then placed in the mailbox for return to your company. I am extremely frustrated and would like this matter addressed. Based on my experience I will never purchase anything from Better Homes and Gardens and have dissuaded friends and family from making purchases based on this experience.

I purchased a BH&g futon at walmart.The mattress is the cheapest, thinnest and most uncomfortable piece of furniture I have ever sat on.The cost of this cheaply made futon is the same as a brand new real couch at Big Lots.Even if you sold a better mattress, this mattress with your name on it should have never made it to stores.Shame on you.I am now stuck with a piece of furniture that should go on the burn pile in back of my house.I have never commented on a product until now.Not only am I furious but so disappointed in your products.If other products are as this was I will spread the word on social media until I

I recently purchased this entertainment center and there were no screws or knobs in the box.
Walmart will not honor the exchange because they do not carry on their shelf any longer.
I am not wanting a refund, I am wanting the parts that go with the entertainment center or atleast a voucher to purchase another entertainment center.
Can you please help me with this?

I want to cancel my yearly book review of the Annual Recipes. I do not want to receive these books any longer. I am being billed for $28.55. I paid for a year subscription online and saved the receipt. They keep emailing and snail mailing bills to me. I write on their bills that I paid it, receipt number and date of payment but they don't respond. I call them and they verify my payment and just say, Sorry for your inconvenience." I've emailed them 4 times with a forwarded receipt but they keep emailing bills and snail mailing me that my payment is due. No magazine is worth all the hassles I've had! Their subscription dept. is run by total ###S! ***I called again and they said that my subscription is paid for and they don't know why I keep getting Ebills.

Have been trying to reach customer service at BHG with no success...just purchased 2 free years + cookbook for $20.- plus Country Home mag for $5.- for 1 yr. Would like to get a confirmation of my order but no luck.

Hi BH&G, I'm not sure if I am in the right spot or not, but whenever I signed up for the magazine, it said if I took it for two years I would get a free Betty Crocker Cookbook, needless to say, I still haven't received no cookbook. What is going on. I really would like to have the cookbook. Thanks so much.
