I was contacted under the guise of a "free Bahama Cruise" for myself and a friend. I am skeptical of all things that sound too good to be true.
When the background noise in the call center was too loud for me to hear "Alicia, " I knew that something was up. Alicia was very friendly, overly giggly in fact, and not very professional. I am a former Corporate Travel Agent and I remember when we were extremely busy, that our clients could not hear the conversations that the other agents were having with clients. I asked Alicia to hold, while I attempted to look up the company information, she promptly transferred my call to a "supervisor." This giggly girl then tried to soft-sell me on paying the "taxes." When I told her that I was concerned with the price of airfare and the price of extras on board, not being able to find any information online to help me, the supervisor told me that once I paid the $118.00 in taxes, she could help me get half price airfare and packages for shore excursions and drinks, of which would also have to be paid today.
Having a formal understanding of the travel industry, I do know that cruise lines offer deep discounts to fill the ship.
Caribbean Cruise Lines is either a start up cruise line or a fake, as I cannot find any information about them. No ASTA or IATA information!

I received a call stating that I had won a "free cruise for two!"

I was soon transferred to an associate that represented BestCruiseGetaway.com (I found their website information after requesting an e-mail).

The phone line had a lot of static and the associate was a very fast talker. She told me I was going to receive a free two night cruise for two on "Caribbean Cruise Lines, " which could be used any time within 18 months.

It wasn't long before she started detailing the fees for which I would be responsible. The fees were $59 per person ($118 in total) and would require me to give her my credit card information. Red flag.

I explained that I could not make that decision without my fiancee's approval and asked if there was any way for me to call her back or receive a call back within a couple of hours. No could do--she told me it was a take it or lose it offer, yet just minutes before she had asked for my cell phone number in case we were disconnected. Another red flag.

After repeated attempts to keep me on the line, I refused to give her my information.

I called my fiancee and not even 10 minutes prior, she had received the same exact phone call with the same exact offer from a different associate. Wow. Are we both just that lucky? We both individually won a free two night cruise for two? Fortunately, she refused to give out any information as well.

Be very wary of this offer and anything related to this company.

I didnt believe them. They might be good or I might have missed a good deal. But I didn't compromised with security of my identity. And my friends and family say that I did the right thing. There are ton of phone scam where identity thefts and loss of money occur. I dont want to be a victim.

I agree.. these people are giving a good company a bad name PLUS it stops other people from using them and saving them money ...or from ever being able to afford a fantastic vacation! I am living on a fixed income, and would of never been able to afford a vacation like that without the cheap price I paid for my vacation through Carribean Cruise Line. So THANK YOU, don't listen to these ignorant people who haven't even used your services!

I have read the "scam" remarks from the various individuals on here. Yes of course the company wants you to pay NOW. They have you on the phone. Believe it or not, it costs alot of money to accomplish this. The free cruise is REAL! You get that no matter what. Just pay Fees collected by the state and feds. The thinking behind the offer is you will realize that you will probably want to extend your vacation to more than just a few days. That is why there is an offer for extended... and DEEPLY discounted stays. Com'on you dopes. You are making it sound like the ship doesnt even exist. You are the reason things cost so much.. Be cautious yes, but dont be stupid

The above comment generated from an employee or someone within the company. This is legitimately a SCAM, used all kinds of rebuttals, and overcoming objection tools, also very pushy!

I totally disagree with the scam comment! My husband and i took our free cruise and also bought an extended stay vacation. The extended stay included ft. Lauderdale, Orlando, and even Bahamas! We were able to transfer Orlando to our daughter & grandchildren, who enjoyed 3/2 at Ramada right by entrance to universal studios. They were thrilled with the accommodations and dining options. My husband and I used the rest of our packsge which included the upper stste room on ship( upgrade given by manager when we purchased) also we stayed in Grand Bahama island! The extended stsy vacation was the best option for our family we were throughly satisfied and would go again if we get the chance! And the best part was the whole price was less than a thousand total..we would suggest for any couple or family to travel with Caribbean cruise. Do your homework this place runs fantastick promotional packages!
