Bespoke slate house signs Non delivery of signs

Back in May ordered 2 slate signs from a very professional website that allows you to 'design your own sign'; paid immediately approximately £150; a month later and nothing has arrived; email and telephone to find out why; there is no response; email and phone again and receive a return email that 'the courier has lost the parcel' and the signs will be re-manufactured and despatched by 7.7.15. To date nothing has arrived and I have tried to make contact again, but to no avail. I have since done my research on the company and discovered to my chagrin all the complaints that exist against Bespoke Slate House Signs. I realise now that I am in the same boat as everybody else and will not be receiving a slate sign any time soon!

Have contacted Trading Standards in Cardiff via email and over the phone and will attempt to get money back from the bank, as others have done; more importantly, I would like to do as much as possible to prevent this company from tricking others into parting with their money.

So disapointed i havent recieved my order from Quality Slate

I ordered on the 8th of February 2017 and still haven't received anything back.
Reading this board i am only one of many. They will reply to your chat on thier site to help you make a purchase but unfortunately, they appear not to follow through with an order.

I fell for it too. Their web site looks and does exactly what it supposed to do; the response to the order and payment all appear to be working along the correct formula when buying from the internet. When I started to query where the goods were; the response was the courier lost the parcel, new sign will be made, courier loses parcel again, will give 50% off, then nothing; no email replies and no call back to the answer phone messages.

I've started the procedure to reclaim my money with the bank and sent an email to Trading Standards in Tonypandy.

Bespoke slate house signs con men

ordered a sign off this website. A week later got an email saying it had been lost in the post and another would be despatched a week later. Three weeks later and around 70 ignored calls later I still hadn't got my sign or money back. I then got another ema saying it was once again lost in the post. I sent around 20 more emails demanding my money back and emailed Watchdog and Trading Standards. Finally through my bank I got my money back. Further research revealed they go under Prestige Slate, Premier Slate, Luxury slate and have untold complaints. They are con men. Do not use!

Hi, I can't say about world pay as I have not heard of the. I would also email Watchdog as they need to be stopped. Good luck!

After ordering my sign I hadn't heard from them since liaising about the proof. So after a week or two I emailed and called them with no response. Only then did I see all the complaints about Quality Slate Signs around the web. I panicked and thought I'd been sucked into a con too. However after I contacted NoChex ask if they could contact the seller on my behalf, I received an email explaining that they'd recently moved premises and that my sign and been lost by the courier... etc etc. They said they would send another out to me that Friday. I took this information with a pinch of salt seeing as it was the same excuses others had been told over the last few years. But then to my amazement I received an email from Hermes that Friday saying that a parcel was on it's way to me. I didn't think for one second that it would be the sign, but it arrived today. The slate is beautiful. The text could be a little neater, but it'll look fine from a far. So I would be inclined to agree that they are terrible communicators, but if you're patient and persistent, you might just get what you ordered!

Order sign 20/042017 as so many have stated wish I'd done more research but sucked in by web site qualityslatesigns. No reply to emails or phone calls . I really detest people like him and am very interested in seeing this person bought to justice by whatever means. I too will be contacting all the relevant authorities to do this. If this doesn't work I want to go and find him.
I would imagine the police won't do much as they will approach the complaint from the wrong perspective. In fact by the volume of complaints this person is committing fraud which is part of the theft act. Until he has these website taken down and prosecuted for the crimes, he will continue to deceive honest people .

Like previews reviews, it seems a leopard does not change its spots!.
I ordered a sign from Qualityslatesigns.co.uk on 16th December, paid for it using their payment agent, Nochex, but did not receive any order confirmation. So I telephoned and sent emails to Qualityslatesigns.co.uk.but got no response from them.
I then contacted Nochex said I have not received an order confirmation, responses or the sign and asked for a refund but all they did was say they would contact the seller!.
I then received an email from Qualityslatesigns stating "Hi, Please accept my apologies, i know this has been made and sent, i shall chase the couriers now for you. Thanks Gareth"
I replied asking for Courier details etc. but again have received no reply. So I contacted Nochex again and all they would say they would contact Qualityslatesigns and ASK for a refund.
I have therefore contacted my Credit Card company and informed them and they will be contacting Nochex and in the interim have re-credited my card with the payment amount.
So as in previous reviews, they take the money, do not even bother to reply to messages - you never can speak to anyone there- the n when pushed for a refund, come up with a lame excuse.
AVOID.

Sign ordered 31st and proof design was received on 1st. I called to amend the design and came across these reviews. I was unable to get in touch on the phone so thought i had been scammed. Decided to pay them a visit today, when i got there i saw literally 100s of signs in different stages of manuafcture. Gareth called the couriers when i was there and they confirmed it had been delivered to my home when i was up quality slates. I called my wife to make sure and surely enough it had arrived, looked lovely. Definately not conmen but i do think they are overwhelmed with orders.

Like the review above I think this is a badly run business. In the end I received my slate sign and was pleased with it. Would I use them again? No. Would I recommend them? No. Am I pleased with what was sent? Yes.
Like all of the reviews above I had a bad experience. Not doing what they said; not answering the phone; not responding to e mails.
I was about to give up, when I tried phoning one last time and to my amazing managed to get through. I spoke with Anthony, who was really nice and said that the courier has lost my package! He said he was making a new sign and it would be sent out in a couple of days. After reading all these reviews i feared the worst. However, three days later Hermes contacted me and I was then able to track my parcel. It arrived and again I feared what I might find in the box. As I mentioned earlier I was pleasantly surprised. One edge has not been cut as well as the others but is still very good. The writing is excellent. My advice to others is to firstly not use them but if you already have (like me) before you read these reviews is to hang on because I think you will eventually get your sign. Good luck

Like the review above, I also think that this is a badly run company. The website is fantastic and you would assume that you will receive the same quality service. After many attempts at phoning and e mailing (no response) i was about to begin the process with my bank and try and get my money back. I decided to phone one lasts time and I managed to finally get through. The guy I spoke with was called Anthony and he was really nice. The reason for my final call was that I had received an e mail saying that the courier had lost my package, which I didn't believe. They use Hermes not DPD as stated on their website. Anthony said that my sign was one of a batch of 10 that had been lost, he was in the process of making them again and said that they would be sent out in a couple of days. He was true to his word and a few days later I received my first contact from Hermes and I was then able to track the package. When it arrived, given my experience I wasn't expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised and yes, one cut edge isn't perfect but it was still good. Generally I am pleased with the sign and am glad that there has been a positive end. Would i do business with them again? No. Would I recommend them to anyone else? No. Am I pleased with the product that they sent me? Yes. My advice to others that have ordered is to persist because I think eventually you will get your sign. I still have no idea why the service that they provide is so bad.

I am wondering if this is a company that is simply badly run, and struggling to provide the service it offers. I ordered a sign in July 2016, and after a few weeks got the same message as above re: courier having lost the sign and a new one being produced. When it did arrive a couple of weeks later, it was very clear that while the lettering was fine, one side of the sign was badly cut and unfinished and there were small chips to a second side. The initial email complaint was ignored, and the first phone contact told us that it would be passed to the Manager. Subsequent calls went straight to answer machine. A good tip if you end up in the same boat - I found a friendly local memorial mason who agreed to put it right for me, and he did a great job and charged next to nothing.
