Truly...do not purchase leather products from Ethan Allen. Our Bennett sectional, owned for less than a year, is peeling its thin "coating" of leather from all areas, frequently used or not. We've had a "tech" sent out, reporting it was the "consumer's fault." In actuality, I've owned Lay-z-boy leather furniture that has shown nary a blemish for years (with dog usage included). As this piece cost approximately $7000, I will be contacting the corporate offices for monetary reimbursement. If forced, I then be filing with small claims court.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Yes, I'm having the exact same issue. I wish I would have seen your comment before purchasing the sofa. It is peeling, to reveal a white plastic-y material underneath. I'm convinced it's not even leather. Their service department states nothing is wrong with it. Seriously, I'm never spending another dime at EA.

I suggest that if you can't get satisfaction, take the couch back to the store and put a sign on it saying, "The store sold me this couch as LEATHER but leather does not peel away! They refuse to give me a refund!" And then stand there and explain to all the customers what happened. I guarantee you will have a check cut quickly! This is horrible, I can't believe this junk is being sold as leather! My FIL has a set that is falling apart and the same thing happened - the store says "No refund!"
