Being charged for a free membership does not seem right. I have contacted my Bank who seems very unhelpful. I am considering of closing my bank (I do not want to go down this road unless there is no other way). I have copied reply from bank for your information. Thank you for your e-mail requesting the cancellation of Mediavent Limited regular payment.

This particular transaction is a ' continuous authority payment'. Unfortunately you will need to contact the company direct in order to cancel the claim. I would recommend you cancel the payment via email or letter. If you have given the company sufficient time to action your request and they re-claim at a later date, please send a copy of the cancellation request to Alliance & Leicester (address listed below) and we will take up the matter for you.

I went on the Internet and was interested in opening a free account with Mediavent Limited. Over the past 3 to 4 months I have been charged for a membership that was meant to be free. I am not the only person who is being charged for this free service. Please can you put a stop to this charge being made to my account. Otherwise I have no alternative but to close my account with you and go else where. Please note: I have contacted you before and you have replied that you can not help me.

The truth; this was unauthorized and my account was NOT to be charged! Please see many hundreds of victims reports that were filed on Rip-off Report.com

One person wrote: I canceled within the free trial period and even got a cancellation email but i am still being billed. What makes it worse is the bank i am with wont put a stop on it so it seems even big corporations want to screw you over as well.
