Microsoft surface pro 7
I ordered a microsoft surface from beach camera on april 16 2022. It arrived damaged. I immediately contacted seller, got approved for a rma, sent it back to them and now they say its my fault it was damaged and now I am out the money and the surface. Do not use this company. They will not stand by their returns. I am now out over $1200. I am disputing with my credit card company. I will never buy from these crooks again. Avoid this company.
Desired outcome: Refund my money
A manager called me back and promised to correct the issue. They offered me a refund and I am satisfied with the resolution.
Poor experience
BUYER BEWARE! Purchased a TomTom XXL 540TM. The main reason I chose this model was for the lifetime updates feature. The first unit was defective. Per BeachCamera requirements, I returned the unit and all materials, after which a replacement was sent.
The replacement, however, was in a water-damaged box that had obviously been resealed, and the card with the activation code for the lifetime updates was missing. I was told that the code from the first unit would transfer over, but this is not the case. BeachCamera has refused to provide me with an activation code, and TomTom can't help without the code. BeachCamera keeps telling me they don't have a card; that isn't my problem, if they don't have a card, then they should exchange the unit I have for a new one that comes with the features that I paid extra for.
The original purchase from BeachCamera was via the marketplace at Buy.Com. I will never purchase another item from BeachCamera, since they refuse to correct this issue.
Beach Camera is the worst online camera store. They are tremendously late and take such a long time to process an order that has no problem with it. It took 5 business days to reach me while I selected and paid $22++ for expediated 2-3 business days delivery. This is unacceptable.
Worst Experience Ever
The balck friday I decided to buy a TV from Beach Camera . I saw the offer in amazon and complete my purchase. Three days later I contact beach camera to know the status of my order and they told me that they were going to receive new stock and my items was going to be shipped that week. At the end of the week I received an email from them telling me that they were out of stock. When i argue about it they admit that it was a lie, the real reason was that they do not ship outside of US.
Even when Puerto Rico is part of the US territory many companies does not ship here but they don't clarify it in their pages. You can even pick Puerto Rico as state in the shipping address. The worst part is that they are slow, I mean a week 1/2 to just tell you that!
Defective/wrong merchandise
I ordered a quality Kodak mini digital video camera, memory card and case for my son for Christmas. They sent me the wrong memory card (wrong type and different brand) and when I sent it back they credited me the wrong (much less) amount. The camera case was cheap, their own brand, and broke on day one. Then after a month or so the camera broke and they will not take it back as it past 30 days since purchase. I have to deal with Kodak now and try to get it replaced under the warranty.
