Bank Of Oklahoma mortgage

I am not on the mortgage at our home. BOK can not seem to get this straight. They call up to 5 times a day for my husband. We had a fire at our house and they needed documentation from him. The documents were sent several times. Daily I get these calls, the calls do not bother me however, they call each time and say they can not speak to me. I asked them to take my number off, they said they can not remove my phone number. How can this stop? Its even removed from the online account we have. Why call if you cant speak to me. (OH and my husband has talked to the several times) calls keep coming in.

Bank Of Oklahoma New Online Banking Program is worthless

I usually write a letter. So, maybe I can save 50 cents if this goes through...Changing the Online Banking Program was totally unnecessary; the old one worked perfectly. I had exactly ONE click to make to find what I wanted to see; now, I have 4-8 depending on how many wrong ones I make before finding the correct one. The only reason I continue banking here is because of the women who work in the Muskogee Westside Branch; you have downsized staff to the bare bones...even removed the furniture...Sandy Jones does 4 or 5 things at one time and does them well. Unfortunately, I live 60 mile round trip from the location so have to use Online much of the time. As soon as Sandy retires, I will retire my BOK acct. Have banked here for about 30 years. Its time for a change. IF the incompetent who invented the new online program is an example of your "quality" staff, I'd rather bury my money in the backyard.

Besides, it is their game and they can play it how they want.

They probably did that as a security measure to prevent all of those who were one clicking errors and then complaining about it. Most people do not want to take responsibility for their actions, so businesses come up with ways to prevent most errors. The 4-8 clicks you now have to do are probably 'are you sure' types.

Bank Of Oklahoma Double charging/Stealing money

I cashed two checks from an employer and there was a problem with the transaction going through. Out of nowhere, BOK then charged me the FULL balance of both checks PLUS two return fees to my checking account. I contacted the person who wrote me the checks and they said the money was pulled out of their account as well. When I called (3 separate people) they told me that even though I had NO WAY OF KNOWING they wrote me bad checks, it is now my responsibility. My account was overdrafted and accumulated hundreds in overdraft fees for something I had no control of. I would simply just get the money from the check writer, but they were charged as well! BOK charged the full balance from both of the checks TWICE and would do nothing to fix it! If that's not illegal I don't know what is! I am still screwed and it's not the first time by them. I will never recommend this bank to anyone.

Bank Of Oklahoma Unethical Behaviour

Ryan m. In the mortgage dept. In the okc. Branch has treated me for months with little to no respect, he has time after time told me how intelligant he is and i don't need to give him suggestions on how to do his job. I got behind on my payments due to not working and resolved the problem by making arrangements with ryan for automatic withdrawl each pay period. This month has 3 pay periods in which has been brought to his attention, and ryan said his manager wouldn't stop the payment on one of the withdraws in order to make it a 2 payment month. Since making the arrangements my home still shows it's in forclosure because ryan won't close that out. He also, is charging me over 2200.00 for forclosure fees. I feel betrayed and taken advantage of by bok and will never ever do any type of business with them after getting my acct. paid.

Bank Of Oklahoma Criminally long hold on certified funds.

Opened a checking account in person with a check from USBank for $5000.00, USBank online account showed debit for that amount on same day and Bank of Oklahoma online account posted 1 day later with the full amount, but online account showed $0.00 balance. Called to inquire and was told that because it was a new account was new it would have a 15 day hold. Cannot have access to certified funds for 15 days is ridiculous. Go elsewhere for your banking needs

Bank Of Oklahoma over draft

We have been with BOK for over 10 years. From time to time we have had to use our overdraft account. Which has been $400 on checking account for over 10 years!. The other day we overdrafted by $40 nd they returned payment and didn't let it overdraft. Apparently according to a manager our over draft varies from day to day. Some days it is 0 and some days $1000 depending on our spending habits... which haven't changed in 10 years. This bank is a total rip off! First you give us fees because you put in transactions highest to lowest to benefit your greedy overdraft fees and then you change your policy with out notification. Noone should use this bank. There are reputable banks in Tulsa. DONT USE BOK.

Bank Of Oklahoma Don't bank here

I'm tired of these banks that steal money from you. How? With their overdraft fees. They place a hold on your checks for 2 weeks so they can get you with overdraft fees. This is how they operate: lets say you have $100 in your account.
In the morning you spend $50. At noon you deposit $500. So now you're thinking you have $550. So in the evening you take out $100 which should leave you with $450 right? Wrong.
Your nightmare begins at midnight when they process everything.
Forget the chronological order of your transactions.
Deductions from your account are placed in this order:
credit first, then largest amount t to the smallest amount, then deposit which they hold.
So the next morning your account that you thought had $450 is actually
drum roll... negative $232.50
What the F!
You freak out. There should be a study done with the correlation between illnesses and bank accounts.
How did this happen? Did somebody steal from your account? Yes. The bank did.
To these thieves you had $100. Then you withdrew $100, Giving you a $0.00 balance.
When you made that $50 gas purchase, you thought you were fine. At the time you though you had a $100 balance. What you didn't know is that these robbers are like time traveling bandits. The bank already knew you were overdrafting your account as soon as you pulled in that gas station.
So they add a $32.50 overdraft fee on that $50 purchase giving you a negative $82.50 balance.
Then your automatic bill pay happens to occur the next day when you saw this mess.
All 4 of them happens to be $5 equaling to $20 in bills. So they tack on $32.50 for each transaction. This makes your already negative balance dive down to negative $232.50
What happened to your deposit? The bank held it, because they knew they were keeping it. So when your check of $500 finally clears, and if you haven't touched your account since, your balance is $217.50. They call this banking. I call this stealing.
BS.

Bank Of Oklahoma Bank of Oklahoma Looses Deposits!!

I am a local business owner and am constantly using my business account to make deposits and other transactions. I have to really keep a close eye on my business account because if I don't, the money will quickly disappear. Well, this time it is the bank itself! I can understand occasional mishaps, but this is the 4th time they have lost one of my deposits? It is kind of interesting to note two things. One is that they never miss an expense, ever, but when it comes to your hard earned money that you deposit, trusting the bank to do their job, you really have to supervise what is going on! Second, when they loose your deposit, they put the burden on you to prove that you made a deposit- so don't throw away your deposit slips, ever, or they will not refund the lost deposits! If your running a business with lots of checks coming in, you had better check your account online and check it often.

Last time, they got back with me and told me they accidentally put my deposit into somebody else's account. When I asked questions, the woman got rather defensive with me like it was none of my business to ask what happened to my money and told me they don't LOOSE deposits? Sure, they didn't loose it? They just couldn't find it either? Finally, she told me it was a computer glitch. Time before that, they didn't have a clue what happened to my deposit? They said occasionally, their scanners misread numbers or the checks get lost, like this was no big deal? This time, they said it was the scanner that misread a number and dumped the money into somebody else's account? But isn't that what cashiers are supposed to check for when they are depositing your money? Then the branch manager suggested I use their ATMs to make deposits from now on. So I told her that was what she had cashiers for and that I am not going to stand around playing with an ATM Machine that can loose my cash too?

BOK is quick to charge $32.50 if I am 1 penny short, but they just blow me off when they loose my deposits? What the hell is wrong here? They should give me $32.50 every time they screw up! I would be ahead by $130 by now!

Bank Of Oklahoma service fees

I had a free checking account with Bank of Oklahoma for 11 years, always in good standing. They suddenly added a service fee and, by time I noticed, they'd taken out $24.00. I tried to speak to a manager about it and it took three visits before a manager was even on site, despite my returning at times I was told one would be available. When a manager finally was on duty, I offered to deposit $5, 000 on the spot in exchange for waiving of all or part of the service fees. They refused to consider it and were snarky and insulting. They preferred to lose a long time customer and a reliable $5, 000.00 minimum monthly balance than to simply reverse $24.00 or less in fees. Very slow, rude, unreliable, and tricky.

I have sent numerous letters to the complaint dept. since the new online banking program began. After the first complaint, someone called me with a pathetic reply; future mailings have informed the bank DO NOT REPLY. Basically, my complaint is this: The old program worked like a charm..., concise, easy, and quick. The "new and improved" program is long/disconnected, complicated, and takes forever to find exactly the information needed. Why do large institutions, grocery stores, and other businesses try to fix things that are not broken? Is it some kind of absurd marketing tool? I have spent hours trying to send email regarding this complaint however the "challenge words" always prevent; so, I use a costly stamp on my letters, which I will continue to send until I die. It is ludicrous to think that those who keep our money safe, believe this new online program is an improvement over the old one...PATHETIC. I am on a fixed income; not a big depositor, just an American citizen trying to make ends meet and keep an eye on my account...BOK has made this simple task VERY DIFFICULT, for me.

Bank of Oklahoma treats its customers like this. I had no access to my on line banking and spent days trying to find tenchnical help. Finally got someone to answer phone in their wonderful "EXpress Banker" number. They said they could access the system fine...PERIOD...the end. Eventually I wrote a snarky letter evaulating my problem and said I had paid off my mortgage as I was so frustrated with never being able to talk to anyone at BOK. I was literally told that the banks turned their phones off when they were busy. They certainly had time to court you out of every dime of your money and writte your mortgage. Bank of Oklahoma behaves like a BiG bank and will charge you for every breath you take if they can get away with it. Their is no customer service, just a few nice people who probably take more time with the customers than BOK likes.

Bank Of Oklahoma THEFT

My (now deceased) father and my mother entered a joint purchase on a property in BARTLESVILLE, OKLAHOMA in 1993. Due to several signs prior, during and resulting in his death from multiple brain tumors in 1996 substantiate that he was incapacitated and not in a condition to make many of the decisions that he did. Upon his death the property and responsibilities there of fell to my mother;even-though; the initial loan would should have not been approved as a 30 year loan to a man unemployed, and 66 years old that was not a primary residence.
My mother, 75 had a second home that I lived in for several years. While I lived there Rick Esser's WASHINGTON COUNTY DRUG TASK FORCE - Eddie Verdin, Robbie Melton, Dennis Nix, illegally raided, vandalized the house and removed and stole personal property while I was convicted of nothing! There was no wrong doing found on my part. Some time after, due to the continued harassment and stalking from the county/Drug Task Force and city/cops/code enforcement... I moved out of state. While coming back to the house on weekends to make repairs (from what the Drug Task Force destroyed) to place the house for sale the house was vandalized again in about 2002. Police were called and they did nothing other than accuse my 74 year old mother of demolishing the house with a baseball bat.. A few weeks later I returned to try to make more repairs to the house when I was informed that there had been a fire on the property, the fire department was called yet there was NO contact with my mother (being the home owner) to advise of this. Not like they didn't have contact information as they called /sent letters harassing her too over bogus city code issues. She was further harassed by her insurance agent Ben Rainey as a result of bringing forward discrepancies stemming from a totaled vehicle during the vitalisation of the house that (in concert with Brian Ballard at Russ Roger Chevrolet) was stolen from her. Ben Rainey, the insurance agent harassed her about not having the house occupied. She found a couple Steve and Starla (Cummings) Tennison who I made an agreement with her to waive a few months rent in exchange for some of the repairs to the house. Steve stayed in jail most of the time while Starla was sleeping with black men and trowing parties in the house. At this time my mother was becoming ill from cellulitis, staff, blind in one eye and half vision in the other. She had to depend on medications, transportation and food from me on weekends. The renters/squatter never paid a penny; But, did steal things from my mothers home during visits. She was receiving no rent, paying the utilities, making the property while the Tennison's were trashing the property, drawing welfare and working under the table which they turned into what has become unrepairable damage. In the mean time my mother's health declined to the point that I moved her out of that chit-hole town and in a short time ended up in the hospital NEAR DEATH! From there to skilled nursing where there were attempts on a daily basis of financial exploitation and abuse by Pleasant Valley of Sedan, Kansas run by mostly worn out biker hos.. I her moved to assisted living for several months. During this time I attempted to make contact with all parties whom money was owed to fully explain the situation and her life threatening conditions. I no less than 6 times contacted and requested Bar-Dew Water Association to disconnect their service from the house, pull the meter... where the dead beat renters were while before, during and after we filed eviction on them. At the time of entry into the house it was obvious the water in the bathroom was rigged in the bathroom to intentionally flood the whole house which it did and appeared to have for weeks. Bank of Oklahoma advised of a $29, 000 balance on a $69.000 loan taken out in 1993 by my father (now deceased) and my mother as a co-signer, Explained to them that the money was not presently available due to her life threatening illness and having to pay for such out of pocket since her insurance (Ben Rainey again) had been allowed to lapse from non-payment due to her near death illness. Knowing full well her health and financial condition BANK OF OKLAHOMA willfully, intentionally hired Hemry, Hemry, & McDoniel, P.C. out of Oklahoma City, OK to file action on her (in concert with Washington County liens) to steal any/all of her assets over the $29, 000 balance on the property. I did not make the court date due to being blind, incapacitated and unable to drive which EVERYONE was fully aware of where Curtis DeLap placed judgement in favor of BANK OF OKLAHOMA! This property was valued at $74, 000 before the TENNISONS moved in and has been valued now at an auction notice at $21, 000 to take place on January 9, 2012. My mother has always paid her debts as well as helping too many worthless bottom feeders in the enchanting city of BARTLESVILLE, Yet, Never filed Bankruptcy and due to her illness and such she is being forced into it... Everyone involved I hope you burn in hell for eternity; But, in the meantime, I would avoid dark alley's at all costs!

Bank Of Oklahoma Cashing check from their bank

I received a mileage check from the company I work for. The company banks with Bank of Oklahoma. I had proper I'D and wanted to cash the check at the drive in window as I have a back injury and am using a rollator to be mobile. The check was less than 50.00 dollars. They would not cash that check unless I came inside the bank because they said I needed to have an account there. They wanted me to be fingerprinted. Why can't they cash a check on their own bank? Ridiculous!

They will and do cash checks in the drive-through all day long for their CLIENTS...the same practice you will encounter at any bank. If you want a check cashed, no questions asked, I suggest visiting your local Walmart or any other classy check cashing establishment.

Bank Of Oklahoma Customer Service

Over 2 years ago I changed my last name. I provided all the proper documentation. They still refuse to get it right. Today, I waited in line in the drive-thru @ 31/Garnett area for a long time. They asked me about my last name who I was. Everyone heard them. My son was with me and said wow, she was really rude. The lady that waited on me was who he referred to. They have been rude to many people in the drive-thru where others can hear. I have heard them. The tellers talk and laugh and make people wait and stare when people complain about the excessive wait in lines. I asked them to get it my last name straightened out. I have sent msgs to BOK and they do NOT care. Their tellers are very rude and continue to embarrass their customers. They have been rude to my family as well. They have raised their fees to ridiculous amounts and I am warning everyone who will listen. Don't pay high fees to be treated like garbage. Steer clear of this bank especially their 31/Garnett branch in Tulsa. They will not listen nor do they care. I will continue to post complaints on every website that will list them. If someone will tell me of a better bank, I will close my accounts at BOK.

Bank Of Oklahoma Failed Account Closure

I closed a business account (I thought) on [protected]. I transfered my account to another bank, where I had another business account, to consolidate them. Approx. 2 weeks later, I started getting notices that my old account was overdrawn! Apparently the teller had given me a cashier's check which emptied my account, but did not officially "close" it. There was an automatic deposit from the state of Oklahoma that mistakenly went into the account; there were also several debits taken from the account, which should never have occurred, which resulted in an "overdraft" position, on an account that should have been closed. I was then socked with over $250 worth of overdraft charges; I went to the bank to straighten it out; they were perplexed, until they saw that my account had never been actually closed. They then tried to tell me that if there were any automatic transactions attempted on the account, that the the account would then be "re-opened"; I checked with another bank branch, & they told me that was not true. I called the main bank center & talked to a supervisor; they said they would refer my problem to the regional mgr, who would call me- never got a call. Now, I am getting a notice from a collections agency for the $80 that the bank says I owe them!

Bank Of Oklahoma Rip off

My problem is with Bank of Oklahoma. I have been a loyal customer over 8 years. I was encouraged to sign up with automatic Bill pay for my Car payment. An e-check was sent out 3 days before scheduled payment allowing 7 overdraft fees over 200$ in total. When brought to the banks attention by clearifying I was in the right; they put my payment back in, but said I would be responsible for two of the overdraft fees...why? I am not sure? Later knowing I could not afford this to happen again, I cancelled my automatic bill pay, along with future payments scheduled by sitting down with a BOK manager to make sure it was correctly done.

The next month the same thing happened and left me 900$ over drawn with 7 over draft fees! They said there were two scheduled payments pending that I did not delete, but the "Payee" was not even listed. They proceeded to hold me or my car loaner responcible for fees, but BOK was the one that sent an automatic e-check, my car load did not take payment themselves. I have since then disputed and awaiting this matter to be solved. not to mention the supervisor was not willing to help nor take blame.

BOK are crooks, they are disloyal and I will be closing all of my business accounts and personal accounts with them.

Bank Of Oklahoma BOK re-opens my account 2 weeks after I closed it.

2 weeks after I had totally closed a checking account at BOK and zeroed the balance, the bank re-opened the identical account and began allowing Geico insurance to make monthly withdrawals. BOK also started charging me a $6/mo fee for the account PLUS almost $30 PER ITEM in overdraft penalties. I had closed this checking account in person, with the "assistance" of their manager, some skinny dork of a guy who is clueless. He assured me the account was 100% closed and no further transactions could take place. Now, over two-weeks afterwards, the account is OPEN AGAIN without my knowledge or permission.

When I went to the bank to confront them about this, this idiot female at her desk and this ### of a manager are TOTALLY CLUELESS. He says he did close it..blah blah blah. Tries to blame me and says "ummm well it was a pre-approved purchase." WTF does that mean? The account has been CLOSED for over 2 weeks... I did not owe them a penny. I already had a new bank account that I'd been using. So the ### manager promises to check regularly to make sure it doesn't re-open again. WTF? These idiots are telling me this account might re-open over and over and charge ME penalties etc? Apparently at BOK if you have EVER given your account for a recurring payment (ie...insurance, electric bills, cable, phone, gas, etc.)... it last FOREVER AND EVER. These halfwits could not even explain why or how it happened. They could not say for sure it won't happen again. BOK has a staff that is seriously stupid and untrained. The one at 91st and Delaware in Tulsa is the WORST.

I left this bank a few weeks ago because of their continual ERRORS and false OVERDRAFT fees of almost $30 EACH. Then last month they started NEW overdraft fee on top of the $30 of an EXTRA $5/DAY.

The state of Oklahoma has recently passed new laws to stop BOK and incompetent banks like them, from DELIBERATING re-posting account charges a second time in order for BOK to acquire additional overdraft fees. The dumb brunette chick at BOK admitted this to me last month when I went in to complain. BOK will ALWAYS pass the buck and blame the other businesses involved. Bank of Oklahoma is the WORST business I've ever had the misfortune to deal with.

I would AVOID BOK like the plague.

As the "skinny dork of a guy" (p.s., thank you for the "skinny" compliment) who was the manager at this BOK branch when Mr. V0n Morris came in, I feel compelled to comment. As I explained to him FULLY when he first came in - timing is everything with respect to closing accounts and ACH debits, and the proximity to his closing the account and the payment coming through were very close, causing the account to re-open. ACH payments are "preauthorized, " and problems like this happen frequently. I told Mr. Von Morris to contact GEICO after the first incident to apprise them of the closing of his account...apparently, since I am an "idiot, " he didn't feel it necessary to heed my advice.
I saw this all of the time while working at the bank...people who want to blame others for the problems they have managing their personal finances. Mr. Von Morris was as irate, belligerent, and vulgar in my office as he was in his post, even though all fees and overdrafts were refunded to him in full, and I apologized repeatedly for the incident. He even shook my hand and apologized for his demeanor before leaving the branch, so I find his post to be somewhat surprising.
I noticed from his other post that he seems to have a similar outlook on DHS...perhaps he should look to himself before launching a tirade about how ignorant and clueless OTHERS are...

You actually don't have to cancel your recurring payments to fully close an account. If you close an account and a draft does try to come through it will bounce. I'm guessing the account was never really closed in the first place. But I do agree that kindness will get you more help than insults and rudeness.

I am a business man in the community and if I had a customer coming in calling everyone idiots and ###s until I got my way, I would be less likely to be of any help either. It just so happens that you cannot close an account until you release all the auto drafts. Perhaps the manager that assumed that you did this task. You have to call the individual companies auto drafting your accounts and get them to release the auto drafts before account is closed.

The root of this and other problems is" recurring payments" . When AOL was charging for their service, I had a recurring payment. When AOL went free I told the credit card people not to process anymore payments becasue it's free. Two months went by and no payments until the 3rd month. I called aol and the credit card people. Bottom line I had to close the credit card and I learned NEVER to do another recurring payment again with anyone!

Bank Of Oklahoma Overdraft Fees

I have been banking with BOK for about 5 years. I had always had a very stable, typically above $500 account. Recently, due to pregnancy and then birth, I fell behind on some bills. I got hit with overdraft fees. I ended up doing 10 transactions without realizing I was even negative. Many of which were $5 here and there. I ended up being -$386! (only around $150 of which were actual transactions.) I asked BOK to assist me with this. I reminded them of how dedicated I have been to this bank. The manager informed me it wasn't there problem, and when I said I would have to choose another bank, she simply said, "That's fine. Have a nice day!" and walked away.

I left stunned and feeling betrayed. I will never recommend this bank to anyone. They are completely unwilling to help out. I would have got the very same reaction trying to argue with their automated phone system.

The only pro I can find with this bank is all the locations. If you want a bank that is on almost every corner, this is a good bank for it.

Their OD fees are $29 per a transaction. Their people are nice as long as you're not needing assistance. Beware! Once you hit rough times, you will regret using this bank.

Bok charged me over a 100 dollars in over draft fee's that they caused. They charged me a fee to use My FREE account and took it out of my account with out telling me so I used the money I thought was in there and the racked up over draft fees. They have done nothing to help me cut cost and won't let me shut down the account and they continue to charge me 6.50 a day tell it's paid.

The bank provides disclosures for everything (by federal law, I might add) at account opening. Clients sign their signature cards in acceptance of the terms of the disclosures without reading them, then want to blame the bank when the terms are actually enforced. Same story OVER and OVER again...no one wants to take responsibility for their mistakes! When I was a BOK branch manager, I was always more than happy to help people out with fee refunds when they were honest about making a mistake, made an effort to keep up with their account, andor weren't in my office weekly demanding refunds and making threats like an entitled jerk. NOTHING IS FREE, people...you spend money that you don't have, and it's going to cost you!

Brenda, Not everyone has thousands of dollars. Many, if not most, people live paycheck to paycheck. BOK has conveniently increased its profits on the backs of the middle to lower class... those who are barely scraping by and may take their balances down to their last dollar. It's not a sin to be poor, but it is darned sure unethical and somewhat illegal to take advantage of that fact. That is what BOK has done.

Left out a sentence: Because if you look one day you will see one thing, and then if you call them on it, they conveniently rearrange things to cover up what they did.

Tired of Stupid and Brenda, you did not read it clearly. The problem is that you can make a deposit, and it shows up as pending. Then it will disappear. Direct Deposits, legally, are supposed to be credited on a specific day at a specific time. They've conveniently held those. I've deposited checks only to see them be pending then disappear. I've had it go up to 10 days before being credited back, all the while the person who wrote the check tells me it has long cleared. Deducting from your account won't necessarily work, either, because if a debit and credit are juggled, you don't know when either one is going to go through. The short version is that you cannot trust what your check register tells you because if your account is being juggled, what you have written is wrong.

I also made a cash deposit a couple of months ago that was conveniently lost for days (four, to be exact). It should have been credited immediately. Instead, it was in pending. It disappeared and never reappeared. I called and was given all kinds of excuses. In the meantime I incurred a NSF fee because of an autodebit. They didn't want to forgive the fee. They also claimed they couldn't figure out where the deposit went. Finally they found it. It had been credited to someone's loan. However, instead of back crediting it to the date it was deposited, they told me that I would have to pay the fee and they showed the credit 4 days later. OH H#LL NO. I had my attorney call them, and they finally removed the NSF fee. That is just WRONG. I did nothing wrong. Yet I wrote it in my checkbook, right? It wasn't a check, it was cash, so should have been an immediate credit, right? There was no waiting period... and yet it disappeared.

BOK will also conveniently rearrange things again if you call them on it. This is the reason I began taking screen shots of the activity in my account. Because if you look

If you think it doesn't matter when a debit clears, wait until they hold a deposit, hold a debit, then put another debit through that isn't even due for days instead. I've had them auto-deduct a loan payment they have associated days before it is actually due. The juggling is what creates the fees. There was even a recent Tulsa World Business article where BOK bragged that 40% of their business profit was based on fees. Now really... they admit it, so why argue this? It was the financial equivalent of putting their fingers in their ears and saying, "Neener Neener, we charge our customers massive fees to make a profit."

I know you think you're being smart, but really to the people it's happened to, it's one of those things where you shake your head and say, "When it happens to you, you'll get it." Go ahead and smug up. I've personally supplied information to the attorneys including computer screen shots of the activity. Wells Fargo and Bank of America have already had massive lawsuits against them for the same activities and being required to repay their clients, so it DOES matter, and a judge agrees.

The problem is not managing your account. The problem is that they juggle your debits and credits to their advantage. I have had them conveniently lose deposits (make sure you keep your deposit slips!). I have had debits disappear and reappear days later. I have had direct deposits not credited appropriately. If you make a deposit, you expect it to be credited appropriately not juggled. If you have a credit (i.e., a returned item to a retail store), you would hope it is credited within a reasonable period of time. If you make a debit, you would expect it to come out within a reasonable period of time, not as much as 5 days later. Just because you write something in your check register doesn't mean, with BOK, that it happens when it should. It's more like playing a guessing game as to when they will or won't decide to put transactions through. Frequently there are transactions that also just show up out of the blue and are not listed as pending.

All of this juggling can result in some serious fees and yet if you complain to them or call them on it, you are told that you should manage your funds better. Oh really? How do you manage funds better than writing them in a check register and adding/deducting appropriately? I monitor my online accounts daily, sometimes 2-3 times a day. I am now to the point that when I get paid, I withdraw all my funds in cash and only redeposit enough to cover bills. Otherwise, I cannot trust that transactions will process appropriately. I am currently looking at other banks because I'm tired of trying to look into a crystal ball to predict what will happen with my account. For anyone who reads this, there IS a class-action suit pending. Contact the attorneys here: http://www.stuevesiegel.com/CM/CurrentCases/BankofOklahoma.asp

A Federal judge has just agreed with you in an identical situation. I suppose Tired_of_Stupid will now call this Federal judge stupid, but the facts of the case show that the banks have engaged in "unfair and deceptive business practices".

Bank Of Oklahoma Fees

Bank of Oklahoma has added one of the most rediculous fees I have ever heard of. I am not even sure it would stand up to a class action lawsuit. They now charge a $5 PER DAY fee if the account is overdrawn. All banks charge an overdraft fee which if you go over what you have in the bank you expect to get. Been there done that. But now they also immediately start charging a $5 PER DAY fee on top of that until you get the balance back above $0. This means someone who goes over by $5 gets the $28.95 fee which is already excessive but then gets $5 per day on top of that. If this happened a week and a half before someone got paid they would end up paying $83.95 because they went over $5. They actually have the nerve to tell you these new fees are GOOD for you as a customer. I struggle to figure out how that could be good for anyone other than BOK's bottom line.

They actually start charging that fee after 5 business days, not immediately. And no they are not the only bank that does that.
