Bank of America atm shorted me $200

Was withdrawing my pay from job completed of $400. Atm gave me $200 but account says it took out the whole $400. Have to pay my car payment but now due to atm error I will be late and have to pay late charges. Looked it up and it looks like this happens all the time and most people don't even get back the money owed, and the others wait weeks for a response. Very frustrating.

Bank of America atm robbed me

On Sunday Morning May 3rd 2015 My Mother and I drove 90 miles to the nearest Bank Of America ATM machine at ATM at Town Square ATM 445 Minnesota St, St Paul, MN 55101 to deposit 1517.00 in cash. I had seen this work before at a Wells Fargo Bank by my mother when I would give her cash she would simply go to a ATM deposit cash and go on with life, seems really simple….. But my attempt to accomplish this task 90 miles away in St. Paul Minnesota hit a big dilemma. I walked up to the machine swiped my card and entered my pin no. the machine asked me what I would like to do. I pushed the button for deposit. Now the machine opens a 3" x 7" door and I put in 15, 100 dollar bills along with 2 fives and 7 ones for a total of 1517.00 dollars. I was waiting for the machine to come back to me and ask me if 1517.00 dollars was correct deposit and I would enter yes or no but the ATM machine instead came back and ask me what was your deposit I entered 1516.00 instead of 1517.00 then it spit out a receipt FOR ONLY 300.00 dollars, the receipt said “Sorry we cannot process all your items and all items not processed cannot be returned”, Please contact your Financial institution. Now remember I traveled 90 miles to make this special deposit. I drove back home and called Bank of America Immediately on Sunday, May 3rd 2015 Cust. service They recorded my Claim of the error at the ATM and told me they could not adjust my account today which was Sunday and to call them tomorrow which was Monday May 4th 2015. The next day Monday, I called them and Talked to a supervisor and I asked her to please credit my account for the remaining 1217.00 dollars that was not put on my account because the ATM could not process all items in the machine. She did not have the authority to do this immediately but referred this claim to her manager and he did credit my account right away like in an instance where my balance showed the correct amount of the deposit. for the shortage of 1217.00 and he said he will have his team investigate to get this deposit corrected. Life Goes on……..
The Next Day, Now on Tuesday May 5th 2015 I woke up in the morning and checked my account and there was a extra 1217.00 dollars in my account from the previous day and was noted as deposit adjustment. I said to myself GREAT they found THE money in the atm and now I had that deposit plus the one the manager gave me on Monday. That’s why I thought they found my money in the ATM. I was also thinking why have they not taken the original credit out at the same time HMMMMMMM. I also seen the the usual items that got paid on Monday night were not paid yet but where still pending. Remember we are in Tuesday now. My bills that I always had over the weekend and my hotel checkout bill from the previous Friday always got paid on Monday night reflecting my stay from the previous week by Tuesday Morning. I just said to myself well the 1217.00 credit they gave me Monday May 4th 2015 will be out tomorrow Wednesday May 6th 2015.
I woke up Wednesday May 6th 2014 and notice the usual items that got paid on Monday where paid last night Tuesday and but wait that extra 1217.00 dollars they credit me on Monday is still there HMMM. Now I am thinking should I call them and see what’s up thinking they should have taken that extra 1217.00 when they paid my other debits on Tuesday night. I just said I will wait another day thinking they were just slow during their process.
I woke up Thursday May 7th 2015 and noticed the usual items got paid but that extra money is still sitting there of 1217.00 now this is getting to be a big HMMMMMMMMMM. Now to make a long story short on Friday when I woke up the balance was correct and no sign of the 1217.00 that was deposited as a deposit adjustment could be seen on my statement on line or anywhere it was just GONE………………But my balance was correct…….
All statements above are all correct and true.
As of today June 3rd 2015 Bank Of America is taking their original credit back Made on May 4th 2015 for 1217.00 and Bank Of America is the reason to me that FOR there was NO extra cash in the ATM at Town Square ATM 445 Minnesota St, St Paul, MN 55101 on May 3rd 2015.
This is a false statement made by Bank Of America and I would like a internal investigation to my account and bring the parties of Bank Of America forward to present them with a Civil Action Lawsuit for falsifying my banking statement. TO BENEFIT THERE OWN OBLIGATIONS…
My mother as a witness was standing right next to me to my right at the ATM at Town Square ATM 445 Minnesota St, St Paul, MN 55101 at this address where the mismanagement by BANK OF AMERICA of my funds were deposited. She PHYSICALY seen me put 1517.00 DOLLARS in the machine from my wallet, And watched the Bank Of America ATM error out in the process and would not return the items I put in the ATM Machine and HAD a credit for only 300.00 out of 1517.00.

"I tell ya will never deposit money in there ATM again"

I think you should avoid depositing that much cash in any ATM. Had you deposited a cheque it would probably have been easier.

Why did they say they were taking back the $1217 credit? What was BofA's reason for doing this?

Bank of America close account

After 7 yeas baking my business with Bank of America on April, 01 2015 they Close my account freezing my funds for the last 15 days! So as American citizen I would like to know? What is going on with our country? How a bank close a account and hold customer's funds for 15 days without any consequence? They give me a 1800 number of all ways go direct to the voice mail, they told me of is a "Business Decision" to close my account of I totally understand but why hold the money? since they ready return same checks of I write with the funds available!
The main problem is this country is that we don't have any "consumer law" of protect regular people! Big Corporation own everything making ours " slaves" of a system design to make money for them, third world country like Brazil have more justice than here! If the same situation occur in Brazil I go direct to a consumer layer that file a sue case against the bank and after 5 or 10 years maybe I can collect all the damage of this bank did to me and my business! But over her is not "Cost effective".
This is how I feel, a SLAVE of the system, try to working in small business as my grandfather did but find me Fighting all the time with Banks, Cable and Telephone Companies, and all the big companies that take advantage of the free market to implement rules that damage the people as well small business!

Bank of America fraud

On March 24th 2015 I went to draw money from the ATM, I had no money in my savings, I checked my checking account and it was -$157.00 I didn't know what happened, having hundreds of dollars in my bank account hours earlier and now reduced to being in the negative at my credit union. I called the bank to see what was going on that's when they informed me that Bank of America took the money out and that it said I verbally authorized it...NEVER HAPPENED! I called BoA and after speaking to two reps I was told they would look into it and return the huge amount of money they stole from me. However I didn't get any notification what was going on, several days and phone calls, faxing papers from my credit union to them and doing everything they said they needed to do to get the funds put back in my account. Well here I am 15 days later and Bank of America has given me an excuse everyday and keep telling me they will return my $ in 3-5 business days...that's bogus and they have stolen my money from my bank account and know that it was a mistake on their part, they know that someone else called in to pay their payment for their mortgage and "somehow " put my account # in instead of his. I have no clue who this Mr. Johnson is who I apparently paid his mortgage for and I am so tired of Bank of America holding my money hostage for their mistake. Bank of America I think is just trying to keep as much $ on their books for the month so they can collect interest on peoples money. Bank of America does not know what business ethics are and anyone should be aware of these devious practices they are playing on people to steal their hard earned money and hold it hostage until they feel like they want to give it back. What a joke of a company. I am pursuing fraud charges on Bank of America!

We have been negotiating a short sale since mid August. As of October 13th Bank of America has now transferred the loan to Greentree and will no longer help the seller. Greentree claims they will not be servicing the loan until November 1st. It is scheduled to foreclose October 31st. Bank of America refuses to help conclude the short sale prior to that time.

I got behind in my mortgage and arranged a repayment plan that was to prevent further late charges from being assessed. They kept charging me anyway, even though I made all repayments on schedule. They flat out lied when making the arrangement, and also kept sending threatening letters about steps to foreclosure, that I was told by reps to "ignore". This is the least professional company I have ever had a mortgage with.

My son and his wife submitted a fully executed contract to the broker for a short sale property in early October. It is now the end of March. The bank is the Bank of Amercia. They were repeatedly told the bank has their contract and it is the only one being considered. The real estate broker never updates them, is difficult to reach, and when they do reach him he tells them one story after another as to why this is taking so long. Two days ago he told them there is a complication with the condo association and that they have taken over the property and are renting it. My son researched legal documents regarding the property, and there is no indication this happened. Also, in driving by the property, he sees it is vacant, not rented. The Bank of America tells them they cannot access information directly from the bank, only from the broker. The broker is giving them a run around, and when they ask if they should give up on the property, he says no. How can they get help investigating what is going on?

A typical repayment plan with any company does not prevent late charges from being assessed. If they were to do that, they would be breaking the original document that you signed at the time of your loan. If you are in a repayment plan that's great, you're catching your payments up; However until you are current on your payment any late charges that are normally assessed should be assessed. This is not Bank of America at fault, they are simply obliging to your Note that you originally signed.

Bank of America bofa sides with fraudulent merchant instead of their customer

I am being charged for over $500 for two lobster rolls and three ice teas at the former establishment, Bartley's Dockside Dining in Kennebunkport. Bank of America will not decline the fraudulent charge because I did not retain my receipt from the lunch in October. The restaurant, which has since been sold and torn down, provided a false receipt which I did not sign. The credit card company is charging me interest on this fraudulent bill. I am in the process of filing a formal complaint with the Kennebunkport police. Please advise me of how to proceed so that I do not have to pay this false bill and the mounting interest. I am aware of the Bartley's prior criminal convictions but the credit card company is still siding with them based on the fake receipt.

Since when is a forged signature on a credit card receipt my problem instead of that of my bank?

First few months of 2008, a $1 finance charge was added, even though bills were paid in full every month on time.

Last 4 months, the $1 is added but not shown anywhere. It is just added to the total.

How many people are being charged this $1 wrongly, as we are?

I am concerned!

Bank of America insurance check for property damage

I recently submitted a claim to my Insurance company for a flooded basement. I called the ins co and the adjuster told me the process, he said that a check would be issued and we could choose to either get the work done or not, it was up to us pretty much. I received the check for $3462.00, not huge by any means. The check is made out to my husband and Bank of America. I called Bank of America for endorsement and was told we would need to hire a contractor and they would give us the money when the work was done and they would need an inspection. It's only carpet and some drywall. Is there a minimum amount they need to hold a check like this? I am not sending them MY money, the check will get shredded and nobody will get it.

I am currently having the same problem. Bank of America is at fault. FEMA has said directly that they just send maps to Bank of America and Bank of America did not read the map correctly. I have called Bank of America several times and they have been no help at all. I have called the State of Maine and they have written me a letter and attached several maps showing I am NOT in a flood zone. Keeping in mind my 5 year old could go onto FEMA.org and pull up my property to verify I am not in the Flood Zone. I am so upset by all this. I refuse to pay for something that is plain as day on FEMA.Org (my town office, the State of Maine and FEMA have all agreed I am not in a flood zone). I am writing a complaint letter because they have been very unprofessional. I have called a 'team supervisor' Gail Smith - her direct line [protected] --- please call her! and she said she would look into it and call me back. She never returned my phone call. I put a 'dispute' in and they never researched it. Bank of America acts like they can not do anything but that is not true. I do not believe them for one second.

We have had a tough time in this economy just like most everyone in working class as we are labled. We had our contract sold and resold. Now Bank of America are the morgage holders of our home. We had trouble making payments for a while and tried to get the bank to work with us through the letters of help offered to us each month and sometimes more. We applied for one and was put on hold for a year until finally bank of America hired enough employees to handle our application. We were asked 6 times to resend papers we have already sent to them. Year and half later they turned us down for home mod. I sent money as we could still while we waited of modification and after. I have no idea where that money went. They refused smaller payments, and now they refused whole payments now that my husband is making more money. We ask for help few more times. They can't help us. They refuse money I send no matter what amount it is now. I like to know how is it they can get away with this. My home is falling apart anyways, so I will prob bankrupt due to the fact Citizens bank didn't pay enough for repairs after Ivan. America we are in trouble when we work hard and pay for items or service and the company can do what ever it is they want. American workers need protection from our Government we elsected. YOu can not sit back allow these companies to continue doing business this way. In fact what do win in doing something like this?

My wife and I have been having Fraudulent 2 seperate withdrawals of $19.99/month since 1 January 2011. The charges are usually incurred around the middle of the month and since I hadn't been doing On-Line banking with thie particular bank, I didn't notice the descrepancy until I was informed by our bank that we were under we went under a zero balance and were being charged fees. Moreover, these charge is similar to other charges that are typically made. We have been receiving lewd, crass, etc. magazines that we do not read nor would have purchased. It's not clear if this TLG+GREATFN agency is related to these magazine distributions. However, TLG+GREATFN has now withdrawn $480 from our account, $80 of which was taken out AFTER I had changed my account with the Bank of America.

The Bank of America told me that they could not/would not assist me in any disputes >60 days which means, effectively, that my wife and I will have to "eat" several hundred dollars which we can not afford since I've been unemployed for 19 months and my wife is disabled. Apparently, this was initiated by a $1.00 charge in November of 2010. Given the nature of the magazines, assuming a connection, we would not have made a purchase leading to receipt of magazines of this disgusting caliber. My thought is that a "free" item is evaluated for its benefit, it turns out that there is a $1.oo processing fee and you do not see the little box in some part of the screen which is checked by default and, thereby, opens you to these types of Fraudulent activities.

Niagra Credit Solutions, then LVNV Funding and Resurgent Capital Services are all debt buyers. My educated guess is that you have the same (or similar) name, and live in the same city or state, as the person they are actually looking for. So they started harassing you. This is a common tactic for debt buyers to use. You've already heard from three of these debt buyers, and will likely hear from others, because these 'accounts' can and are sold many times over, to different debt buyers. Your best option, at this point, is to contact a consumer attorney (www. naca.net), and let them deal with these bottom feeders. Best of luck.

I noticed there was four transactions taken off of my credit card from this National Express, Birmingham for $200. I have never heard of this company nor have I authorized any payments to be taken. I live in Indiana and need to know what can be done about this. I have cancelled my card but am really worried about how I will get my money back that was taken. Something needs to be done.

Bank of America installment loan modification

B of A assumed an installment loan, with a principal balance of approx. 15k. The original amount of the loan was 24k, and we had made 48 of your the 108 payments. Bank of America statements show that it assumed 24k and changed the terms to a revolving line of credit, which added an additional 14 k to the loan. I have provided proof that the loan was originally an installment loan. When I do have someone admit that it is possible, I am told that aI agreed to the change. To which I respond no one in their right mind would agree to add three years of additional payments and 14k additional dollars. The loan had an 8.9% interest rate. The payments were 330.20. We have paid nearly 45k on the loan and have been told that w still have a balance. I believe that we have already overpaid the loan.

Bank of America should not be allowed to sell some of its regional banks in North Carolina because details are worthless. Trying to deal with First South Bank compared to B of A is like going from night to day. Expecting to use customer service be prepared to pay a fee.Fact: First South Bank has a fee no matter what I had no idea B of A lacked any concern for former customers.

Bank of America incompetent employee

We began shopping for a home loan for our new home purchase 2 months ago. We were told the whole process would take 5 weeks and given a decent interest rate from one lender, but then Carolyn Riddleberger from Bank of America promised us she could do better. She assured us of a lower interest rate as well saying the time deadlines could easily be met. We were buying our home from a relocation company and they requested proof that the loan was done 2 weeks prior to closing. She assured them as well as us that everything was approved and done at that point. She had 4 weeks at that point to get everything done. The week prior to closing she came back with random ultimatums telling us we had to close credit cards and provide further proof of our jobs or else. She refused to answer any of the questions that we asked her. We went above her and spoke with her supervisors. Even after this, she continued to call us telling us things that supervisors were saying the opposite of. The ENTIRE process of dealing with her has been a nightmare and has ended up costing us about $5, 000 extra as well as the house we wanted.

Bank of America claim for paul smith, loan officer, eloan company

Claim for Paul Smith, loan officer, ELoan Company (www.eloan.com)

After i paid $435 as guarantee fee for $1500 loan, he continued to ask me to pay another $190 for processing it.

10 Oct.2014. I answered a phone call from Paul Smith, he told me that if I loaded $110, he would process $1000 loan for me. I asked whether it would be available or not if I loaded two vouchers, because I had one with $50 in it. He answered “no problem”. What I needed to do it was to load $60 in another voucher. After i finished loading, he told me on the phone that it couldn't be processed, it should be available in one voucher. So i loaded $150 in one voucher for loaning $1500. Then he processed it. Half a day passed, he said that something was wrong with software in the eloan company. So he had to arrange transferring money via Western Union, asked me to load another $172 in one voucher as transferring charge, i did without second consideration. One day later, he said that i had missed my middle name in the application form, so it would unavailable for transferring loans via Western Union, what I needed to do was to load another $172 in one voucher. If I wanted to get the funds to my bank account, I needed to load$190 in one voucher. The following is the letter Paul Smith sent to me:
“Actually the thing is that we are returning all the money which you had paid and this $190.00 as well so that's why you will receive $2122.00 into your account but you need to pay unblock charges of $190.00 …….. so until you pay $190.00 i can't transfer the funds.”
proofs i will upload later

1. fraud money(proofs of written document)
2. made fake written document in the name of eloan incorporated (proof of written document)
3. mislead the customer using eloan incorporated website: eloan.com instead of eloancompany.com.(proofs of emails contents). I submitted the massages to the eloan company, no response for them until now.

I too was scammed by some fast talking Indian/Pakistan woman and man. They charged me 89.00 application fee and an application fee per month of 19.95. I was promised a loan of 1500.00. The phone numbers are incorrect and fake. I called this number [protected] that they called me from and it is disconnected. They also gave me these phony customerservice numbers and recordings come on to tell you to email them and someone will contact you in 3-4 days. If you were approved for a loan then someone will call you.

Did you contact the loan company? Perhaps it was an oversight and they can credit your account. I know we process cc's online and if you accidentally hit the back button it charges the customer twice.

Bank of America poor service

My wife and I recently went to the Bank of America branch in Murphy, TX on FM 544. I want to file a formal complaint against the Assistant manager, Anayeli Cigarroa, and the branch manager. They refused to provide quality customer service and were both quite rude. Anayeli Cigarroa is apparently prejudiced against white people. She told me “white trash men like you have no class.”
I had a check drawn directly from my TDAmeritrade account and she refused to make the call to verify the funds. Her supervisor, the Branch manager also refused to release the hold on my funds. Then she looked at me and coldly asked “Why do you need the funds?” I told her it was none of her business what I needed to use my own money for.
The Branch manager told my wife to shut up or he would not release the hold. Then they asked me again what the money was for. Their behavior was rude and inappropriate. I am a high asset customer who will likely take my business elsewhere. I also intend to tell this story to a friend in the media.

Bank of America loan modification

I have been requesting a home loan modification since 2011. I was told by bank of America to contact an agency locally that could help me obtain the proper paperwork to do so as well as help me fill it out and make sure that I had all required documents to send in for the request. I did so and was told by my local agency that i qualified for a modification on my home loan, however every time i turned around they were requesting the same documents that i had already sent in repeatedly. This went on for more than a year in 2013 they decided to give me a trial home loan modification however it was not a loan modification it was actually an increase they raised my house payment over 200.00 more a month. how do they expect people to pay more when they are not able to pay the required amount which is why they are asking for it to be modified. I am now back in the cat and mouse game of re applying for a loan modification they are constantly switching who is suppose to be my contact and when I do finally get someone they never return my phone calls. I have sent the home affordable papers several times along with the list of required documents and again they are saying they didn't get certain pages or they need something else or something was not signed. I do not get how if they got the packet they find their selves claiming they didn't get certain articles of the packet?! Someone needs to step in and hold Bank of America accountable for people losing their homes due to their lack of assistance and they also need to be fined for not using the bail out money properly please help

Bank of America mishandling account and this mishandling has effective my credit

I was diagnosed with breast cancer sep 2013. My home loan is with bank of america. I contacted them to see if they could forgive my loan payment for six months. I completed all kind of forms and dealt with representatives from co. n caroline, simi valley asking for the same information. i had sent this information to whoever asked for it. this went on from oct thru apr 2014. finally they told me i was approved for harp. i had already advised them in many letters and phone conversations that i did not wish to refinance or have late fees waived. my answered to them did satisfy them because i continued to receive letters from them (simi valley co, n caroline asking me to submit payment under harp with the special coupons they had sent. I made my regular monthly payments timely but the payments sent for may and june 2014 was not applied to my mortgage. I called stating that my payments had not been credited talking with customer services. they advised that the payments had been received but had not been applied. they could not apply until my customer manger, corey [censored]an released the funds. i telephoned corey he advised paperwork would have to submit and that he would take the necessary action and would let me know when accomplished.. on friday ( jun 27 2014) i was advised that bank of america had reported to the credit bureau i had not paid my may 2014 payment. their mishandling has ruined my credit. corey [censored]an was telephoned but his voice mail notified me he was on out of the office til sometime in julyand to contact his supervisor for immediate assistance. i contacted the supervisor she was not avialable and left her superviors name and number. i left a message and contacted her supervisor. he was not available and i left him a msg.

Bank of America home loan modification / foreclosed

I have been working with bob baer w / boa. I filled out every single packet they sent, every single piece of paper, and i have recording after recording of him agreeing over and over to our loan modifications. We in fact ask him on the phone over and over to repeat that he is agreeing to this and he does agree repeatedly to "his terms". After i mailed the money bob baer asked me to, i never saw the modifications, we called him out on it and he said he never agreed to any terms. We told him we had every phone conversation recorded and he hung up on us. A month later i came home to find out my home had been foreclosed on. He was dual tracking my loan. Boa was sued in federal court for this. My attorney called bob to try and work something out and he is ignoring us. I am losing my home in ten days because of this creep. Record your phone conversations and keep records of everything! We're in the process of filing motions in federal court. Good luck and god bless. We are also posting the phone conversation on youtube with other documents to warn consumers about bank of america. They are awful and should not be in business.

Sorry, now you know. You should not mail money until you have a written agreement. You phone conversations were just negotiation, if this, then that, if that, then this. In the beginning, you did sign a written agreement, that said you pledged the house to pay the loan if, for any reason, you were unable to make payments.

Bank of America Damaged clothing

I brought 5 articles of clothing to Countrywide Cleaners for dry cleaning services. When dropping them off, I verified that all articles of clothing were being Dry Cleaned only. One of the articles of clothing was a merino wool sweater, which shrinks unless its dry cleaned.

After picking up my clothes on the following day, I noticed that two of my pieces were damaged. The metal designer tag on my polo was nearly ripped off of the shirt) and a large yellow stain appeared on the shirt. My merino wool sweater was shrunk to nearly half its original size. I verified with another dry cleaning company and the manufacturer of the sweater that proper dry cleaning would not shrink this article of clothing.

I was told that the manager of this location would call me the next business day(monday), but that did not happen. The business does not return/answer my phone calls either.

After further investigation, Ive learned this business receives an F rating from the better business bureau.

Bank of America home loan modification scam

January 2014 I applied for a home loan modification with Bank Of America to try to get my mortgage payments lowered. I got behind on my bills and I knew I would NOT qualify to refinance. They had me fax, mail, and fax documents while the entire time they were assuring me that things look "really good"..I am disabled and I have a teenage child who also receives social security because of my disability. When I first applied for my mortgage they used my daughters income and now that I am trying to modify my loan they are telling me that they CANNOT use her income. They want to do a Short Sale. THAT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN! I am NOT behind on any mortgage payments and don't plan on it. They suggested for me to stop making payments for 2 months then it would be possible to get the modification approved. WHY? Why should I take the chance of not paying my mortgage payments and losing my HOME? We have NOWHERE else to go! I have NO other family! I think the Bank of America home loan modification process is a TOTAL SCAM! Is there anyone out there that can help us? I REFUSE to let BOA win!

SATISFACTION! BOA has approved my home loan modification! It has been a VERY long and stressful process but, in the long run it was actually worth it! My advice to everyone that is trying to do a home loan modification.. DON'T GIVE UP! BOA has their guidelines, but they (Marc Meyers) has worked with me daily to get this process accomplished! I'm NOT saying BOA is perfect.. But what mortgage company is? I LOVE our home and I plan on this being MY final home!
Anyone that is in the process of a home loan modification with BOA work with them and give them a chance!

I get the impression that they think they are above the laws and they pick and chose whom to help! I contacted a representative.. I don't remember which one because I have contacted so many., But the person I spoke to about BOA actually said that she gets the impression that I am being targeted.. "INTERESTING"! I have done everything requested from BOA for the modification and yet they denied me! I am wondering if they are Mafia oriented? (Just a thought!) I'm sure the President/CEO Mr. Brian T. Moynihan goes home to a NICE HUGH HOUSE that is already paid for BY US (POOR BOA CUSTOMERS) laughing himself to sleep every night saying "SUCKERS"... Well I will NOT go down WITHOUT a fight! I AM a proud homeowner and I plan on keeping it that way!

Bank of America partial land release

I have been attempting to obtain a partial land release. We have 40 acres and want to sell 35 of the farm land. We have an equity loan with Bank of America and need them to authorize a release and tell us what requirements we must meet to do so. Our primary mortgage holder (Citicorp) has authorized the release as we have completed the paper work, obtained a survey and had property assessments. We are due to close on the land sale in two weeks (per Citicorp) and I STILL HAVE NOT HEARD A WORD from Bank of America. I was told we would receive documentation within 48 hours and that was two weeks ago. No response to email when referencing equity but if I do a general inquiry, they say they will look into it. When I call the department, I can only get a recording stating they will contact me within 48 hours (not a single call back yet). When I speak with customer service, they can do nothing except to send the department an email escalating the matter. The sale may fall through as we have NO idea what Bank of America may require. No one at Bank of America can get us in touch with a single soul in the PARTIAL RELEASE department. I also found out while working with a loan modification rep (who is very helpful) that our account information was a mess. Even though the statements have both our names on it and appears on both our credit reports, the account was listed under the husband but with the wife's social security. We had to send a copy of SS card, make MANY calls to corrrect THEIR ERROR which apparently occured when they took over the LaSalle Bank business with whom our accounts were with originally. It took nearly TWO MONTHS for them to correct this. Different departments had different information - what a mess. Funny...they sure have the information correct when payment is due. We will be cashing in some investments just to pay off our equity loan and be done with Bank of America. At that point we will close ALL our accounts with them, and there are five. They give misinformation IF you are fortunate enough to get in touch with a person in the correct department! NO ONE can help you ...so much for customer service. I will never again do business with Bank of America.

I got a loan modification approved through BOA. Dropped my payments by almost 300 dollars. What they didn't tell me, even though I was making my monthly payments, my house payment wasn't being paid. The money I sent went into some sort of fund for 12 months till the modification was approved. Then it payed my house payment. When I went to look for a car, BOA had listed an I9 on my credit. What this is states my house payment was greater than 90 days past due for reported 9 months. Took my credit score down from 708 to 564. I couldn't get a car approved because of what they did. I screamed at them too. it didn't so any good. I did pay my monthly payments in the amount the loan counselor told me my payments would be. And I still got screwed.

I went through BOA for the affordable home program also. It was a nightmare! I ended up refinancing with Quicken, it was fast easy and they saved me $100.00. I found out during the refinancing process with Quicken BOA put a lien against my house in the amount of $900 for administrative fees. I never signed anything approving this and when I ask them to send me a copy of this so called paperwork, they never did! I wish people like me who where just trying to do the right thing and NOT walk away from their house had some rights! I have had friends stop paying their mortgage, live in their homes for years, purchase a nicer home and never to this day have they had to be accountable for the foreclosed home! Some filed bankruptcy after it all too! Just goes to show it doesn't pay to be honest & pay your bills in this messed up world!

Bank of America unscrupulous business practices

We had a pipe burst the Sunday before Thanksgiving, 2013. AAA handled the
insurance end, and was so poor that we had to hire a public adjuster to force
them to pay for the damages. Of course, as holder of our mortgage (originally
through Countrywide), BofA was
listed as co-payees on the check. I called the property claims division to get
instructions on how to proceed and followed them to the letter. The first
disbursement check that was sent to us was for half of what it should have
been and took two weeks to arrive. Even though the check was drawn on BofA, they still wasted precious time in disbursing funds to us. This was the end of January, 2014.

I had our contractor lined up & ready to start, but didn't have enough money for the deposit, so we had to wait for the remainder of the original disbursement to be sent - another week went by. To get the rebuilding process started, I put several things on my personal credit cards, which shouldn't have been necessary. We were finally able to begin the real work in the end of February, 2014. The first visit from the inspector was another fiasco, where he was only available between 11am and 12n, so I had to take more time off of work to be able to meet him on his time line. He put our progress to that point at 68%. BofA called to tell me that they'd only release another fraction of the second disbursement. I was able to persuade a manager to send the whole amount after faxing all the bills I paid out of pocket to that point.

The last of the work was completed on March 10, 2014. I called to have the final inspection and disbursement released. We're in the process of refinancing with another bank. They have told me that BofA won't send them the payoff settlement figures, which is another game they're playing with us. The inspection is scheduled for today with the same inspector as the last time. Somehow, our insurance report is mysteriously now missing from their files, even though he had it the last time he came out.

Dealing with BofA property claims through this process has added insult to injury.
