I've been using AVS4YOU for quite some time now, and I must say that I have mixed feelings about it. I started using it back in 2009, and since then, I have upgraded to new machines as better hardware has developed. However, I recently ran into an issue with their "lifetime upgrades" policy. They changed it to "lifetime on ONLY that 1 computer", which means that if you replace your hard drive or switch to a new computer, you'll have to buy another license.

It seems that they still don't understand the concept of a "lifetime" license, and they don't seem to care about fixing the original problems.

Overall, I would say that AVS4YOU is a decent product, but their customer support and policies need improvement. If you're looking for a reliable video processing software, I would recommend trying out Wondershare products instead.

I've been using AVS4YOU for about 6 years now, and I have to say, I was pretty impressed with their software when I first started using it. I actually got the software for free for a year because I agreed to promote them on my website. But after that year was up, I decided to buy the full package because I found their software so useful.

However, I have to say that my opinion of AVS4YOU has gone down quite a bit recently. They actually nullified my registration key because I tried to install the software on my laptop. I don't think I was breaking any rules, but apparently they didn't agree. The thing is, the computer that I originally installed the software on was stolen, so I had to install it on a new computer. But apparently that's not allowed.

So, if you're thinking about buying AVS4YOU, just be aware that if you ever need to install it on a new computer, you might have to buy it all over again. They don't seem to care about their customers, and they just want to milk as much money from you as possible.

I used to have a lot of respect for AVS4YOU, but now I'm pretty disappointed in them. I don't think I'll be promoting them anymore, and I definitely won't be recommending them to anyone else.

I bought an AVS4YOU license a few years back and opted for the Unlimited option because I don't use the program very often. I've upgraded my computer a couple of times since then and the license would update automatically, but not this time. When I looked into it, I found out that the new license agreement doesn't allow for switching computers. I mean, come on! If AVS4YOU wants to have this policy, that's their business, but they should at least explain clearly what they mean by an Unlimited License in their marketing and sales literature. They could also be more considerate and "grandfather" those systems that were sold under the original unlimited agreement. It wouldn't be that hard.

As someone who travels a lot for work, I once bought an unlimited car rental upgrade plan. Several years later, they changed the agreement and my unlimited plan became useless. That's fine, but I haven't rented a car from that company in over 20 years and I never will again. AVS4YOU won't be seeing any more of my business either. If you choose to do business with this company, just know that they don't always mean what they say. Unlimited only means for your current computer. If something goes wrong with your computer and you need to replace the motherboard or get a new computer, you'll have to repurchase a license. They strategically don't explain this on the page where you choose between an Annual License or Unlimited License. My advice? Stay away from this company's product. It may work fine, but make sure you know what you're paying for.

I was excited to install my complete "Unlimited" AVS4YOU product, but to my dismay, it would not activate. I was left feeling frustrated and disappointed. If I install and use or reinstall AVS4YOU software on any other computers, I will have to purchase an additional license for each computer. If I change a computer, I will have to purchase an additional license. This was not what I was expecting when I purchased the "Unlimited" subscription.

I was shocked to learn that the "Unlimited" subscription had total limitations. It was not the unlimited license I was expecting. I felt like I was misled into thinking that I owned the software, but in reality, it was just a limited one computer, one install license. I was disappointed that AVS4YOU was misrepresenting their product to those who purchase it. I will not be purchasing any avangate or AVS products again, ever. I will also be telling everyone I encounter that AVS4YOU and their company are deceptive, lying manipulators without a moral bone in their bodies.

I played around with the scrubber, text, audio, and fills for about 10 minutes, when suddenly the preview went black. So, I decided to reach out to AVS support. I sent them an email describing my computer (Windows 10, Asus 3.8Ghz, 32GB RAM, nVidia graphics card) and the problem I was having. To my surprise, I received a response from someone named Tess within two hours. She gave me step-by-step instructions on how to fix the problem, and it worked like a charm.

After that, I was able to start and finish an 8-minute YouTube video project in just one hour. I had a raw 330 MB file that I converted to .Vob using VLC Editor, from a video shot on my Sony cam. I edited the sound track by muting out some weird noises, and added some text that faded in at the start and end of the video. I even added a logo and contact info.

When I was done, I produced the YouTube video using the built-in option, along with many other format options. I saved it and played it on my PC, and it looked great. Then, I loaded it into my YouTube channel and was thrilled with the results.

So, even if it is installed on the exact same machine forever, there is no guarantee that you will be able to use it for a lifetime.

I had the same HD, video, and sound card, but only a new motherboard, and they charged me another $60 to use a six-month-old product. It's ridiculous.

I had the product for six months, and my motherboard died. They didn't care and didn't offer any help. They set you up to eventually not be able to use their software on your machine by making updates that create incompatibility. It's a scam, and I wouldn't recommend this software to anyone.

But then I bought a new computer and was not able to use this program! I tried many different things but no matter how hard I've tried nothing happened. people, have you ever tried contacting AVS4YOU support team i wonder. whichever time i did, i got response in reasonable time. after surfing the net and reading the reviews was scared that won't see my money again (*as accidentally placed the order twice*), but was provided with the refund for the sec purchase without no problems and questions asked. btw, had some error message once (not able to remember which one though, lol). but they managed to figure that out and led me through all the steps to bring my converter back to life (^-^)

Stay away from this site if you treasure your sanity, let alone pc...It and its aliases playit player, allplay, etc! will afect your pc and leave your system with wrong extensions if you try to remove it.

I purchased a full AVS4You software license in 2009 and I was pleased with their programs but approximately two months ago most of my AVS4YOU programs quit working and I get messages that imply I am not licensed such as "Class Not Registered". This software has been used on the same computer since I bought the license. The company advertises that they will respond to email inquires within 48 hours. This has not happened and there is no other way to contact them but email. They provide a forum for discussing issues online but when I tried to register every user name I selected was rejected. Bottom line is I paid AVS4YOU for a non-expiring license to use their software and they are not honoring their end of the agreement. I am being ripped off by AVS4YOU.

I saw an add on for my Windows Movie Maker, over 300 effects and Transitions for only 15 US Dollars. Then I downloaded it, then It wanted 39 US Dollars, I paid with a VISA. When I was done I registered with their code, but it would not work! So I downloaded all the other items too!

Also: All of my Music files and Video Files have been Hijacked, into their own stupid system, so I can not use them, in any way! Now if I delete all this (which I really want to do) I will loose my chance for any refund according to their rules! No bad Videos on You Tube at all on them... if fact there are many videos that say how great they are!
I commented on one, but my comment just disappeared? Only good comments are kept! I believe I was scammed? And this is the only place I see, where I can tell my story. I can not mix videos for You Tube right now... Everything is ruined! So, I will wait a bit longer.
