Avante Siamese review: Animal neglect 18

Heather Wolfe took a $1000 from our family for a male Siamese kitten which she never gave us. She lead us on about when he would be available and then she just stopped taking our calls and just kept our money.

Our she little girl had to be put down due her PKD at 15 months. Please do not buy from Heather Rose Wolf. Not only is she dishonest she is an unethical breeder.

If you are not convinced that Heather Rose Wolf is an unethical breeder and you should not buy from her under any cattery name maybe this will help. Our sweet 15 month old kitten has polycystic kidney disease. This is a hereditary disease and only one of the parents has to care the gene. How could you allow your cats to breed knowing that they carry this fatal genetic disorder?

Lynne, What name is use using for her cattery now? She has done this before. Our kitten was suppose to be pure bred, spayed and chipped. None of the above. Contact the Attorney General's office to file a complaint. Can be done on line. The AG's office will probably not do much and they didn't pursue the matter because she didn't answer the phone. But, if enough people file a complaint, they will eventually do something. If you paid by credit card, contact your company and request a refund. The merchandise you received is not what was promised.

After 4 months of fighting with her, she refunded my shipping money, Which I am very shocked that it took this long... I am happy that this is done and I do not have to deal with her ever again... I still have a bad taste in my mouth over her, and her dishonest ways... As I can see there is tons of complaints on line about her... I wasn't the only one she burnt, but at least she finally did me right by refunding my shipping money, I just wished it didn't take so long for her to do the right thing... Hopefully she will do the right thing for the rest of the people she burnt...

I, too, bought a kitten from Heather-Wolfe and was guaranteed that the kitten would be spayed, have shots, and chipped. Well when I got the kitten she was so scared of me that for a week I could hardly get close to her. I have never had a cat like that. It was almost as if she was not socialized at all. Then when she went to the vet I was told there was no microchip and when I contacted Ms.Wolfe concerning this matter she said the chip probably fell out. Yeah, it really can fall out of a cat's skin once it's been inserted. If you believe that, I have a bridge to sell you.

But the real con she pulled on me was when the cat that was supposed to be spayed went into heat! Yes I am talking about yowling constantly, rubbing against everything etc heat... I contacted Ms. Rose again and she told me she took the kitten to a low-cost spay clinic near her house and she did have them spayed. Well I begged to differ with her and had the cat spayed myself to the tune of 350.00. I then told her that if she didn't refund the spay I would post negative reviews about her all over the Internet. She got back with me and would only refund 200 dollars because she didn't feel that the extra money (which I had to pay the vet because it is more when the cat is in full blown heat) was an emergency so therefore I wasn't entitled to get the rest. If you have ever heard a siamese cat in heat yowling constantly you would consider that an emergency. However, I didn't want to get into a big discussion with this woman and just wrote it off. But I am hear to tell you that if I knew then what I know now I would NEVER have done any kind of business with this person. I don't even know if the cat is full blooded Siamese. It looks it but I don't have any real proof. She is to be avoided at all costs.

In contrast, I bought a rag doll from a breeder in Virginia. Not only was the breeder easy to get in touch with when I called her, when I got the kitten I had a written guarantee, all vet records and the cat's pedigree records from 4 generations and a form that I can send in to register the cat. From Heather Rose I received nothing. Just a wild, unsociable kitten. Now the kitten is a full grown cat and is very sweet and loving but if I had to do it all over again I would run far away from this unscrupulous breeder.

Thank you Stan, I have been already in contact with the police down in her area, but I will be placing a complaint with Attorney Generals office, She is not gonna get a way with this behavior, she needs to do the right thing... Also she changed her name already, so if she does again, I will post the name change on this complaint board, People need to stay away from her since she is not a honest person...

Thanks for offering to go to court. My suggestion is to contact the Attorney Generals office to file a complaint. You can do it on line. However, the AG's office will try to contact her by mail or phone. If she does not respond, they will close the case without doing anything. But, the more that people file a consumer protection complaint, they will see that this is a pattern.

If she took your money and refuses to refund, that may be considered a criminal theft. Contact the sheriff's office, or file a civil suit. You can file the civil suit on line, print it out and for $61.00, the court will hear the case. If she gave you a kitten, and has not provided proof of vacinnation, contact animal control. They may investigate and prosecute as well. The office of animal control is considered a law enforcement agency under Virginia law.

Stan that sounds like bs that she told you... just like all the bs she gave me as well...

In fact Heather, if you provide me with the promised documentation, the vet records where this kitten was spayed, neutered and chipped, I will be more than happy to contact my credit card company to release the funds. I took this action after you failed to provide the documentation, the name of the vet who performed the spaying surgery, vet exam and shots. You even tried to convince us that the vet used really small sutures.

Do not buy a kitten from this woman. She is not to be believed. She promised a full bred siamese, chipped, spayed, shots, health kitten. Kitten was not spayed, chipped, or had shots, etc. Kitten had fleas, and Giguardia. and had a serious upper respiratory infection Kitten was barely old enough to leave. Kitten is not full bred Siamese.

Heather Wolf from Avante Cattery, has still not given me my refund yet, she tries to justify herself but she still hasn't given me my refund that she owes me... I sent her the money on the 17th of Dec. 2013, and it is now Feb. 9th and she still hasn't given me my refund and promised to do it by the 1st of Feb. she yet has not done the right thing... Then she says I changed my mind 4 times no that is not true, and we did not do 4 contracts, we did only two, the first one we mutually changed our minds, then the second time she came to me and said she needed to find a home for Lefty a seal point Siamese and I and her came up with a agreement and both of us signed the contract... Due to the weather we watched the weather and on Jan. 14th we could have shipped him to a different state my Husband was going to, and she came up with every excuse known to man... and on the 14th the weather was good, and it would have been safe to ship Lefty and why couldn't my Husband pick him up? Does that make any sense. I didn't think so... You said you would have me paid back by the 1st of Feb. Which you never did... Also you made the contract not me and it was written in Dec. 2013. So yes I was concern when you kept making excuses. It's now Feb. 2014. And you still have my money... This would make anyone angry and concern... I have asked you by emails to do the right thing and you still haven't please do the right thing and I will publicly tell everyone you did refunded my money but as it is right now you still haven't. All I want you to do is do the right thing... By refunding my money... Do the right thing that is all that is being asked from you.. She also has other complaints many many of them, she needs to start doing the right thing.

I hope you certainly understand the definition of libel, as your attempts to attack me are now public, and will be recorded as such. Remember there is a clear line between stating facts, and between falsely making statements, to discredit an individual.

I would like to address Kittkat ( anonymous person) I ask that you identify yourself, as you feel compelled to post information, which well.. Really manifested to nothing, as I charges were dropped or Nolle Prosse, due to evidence. What are you gaining from literally trying to post everywhere a mug shot from a charge I WAS NOT CONVICTED OF, or of tickets without the verdict?

Let me start out here, why do you hide? With a location in which you do not reside?

On November 24th, 2013 I hired a Tammy Locklear of Spotsylvania to house sit my home, and take care of my pets. On Saturday November 30th, 2013 I receive a phone call to my mobile phone, saying that the door to my home had been broken and was wide open, and that the police went through to do a welfare check on my residence, inside my residence I had 3 adult cats and 9 kittens ( 1 adult and the 9 kittens came from a breeder named Kyle Ross Marble, approximately 2.75 months AFTER I BOUGHT THEM, but were delivered to me on/or about 7 days prior to my Thanksgiving Holiday). As well as my two dogs.

Upon entering my residence ( which door was busted wide off the hinge) they found kittens running throughout my home ( which were in quarantine in my bedroom) and my poor dogs not left out for days, sitting in fecal matter! The police asked me why the animals were not being taken care of, and I informed them that I had hired the hand of my neighbor to take care of the animals, with instructions, They issued citations for the care taker Mrs. Tammy Locklear and her husband. I drove back immediately to come back from my Thanksgiving Holiday ( 800 miles away), to find the animals exactly as they spoke, over flowing litters, kittens running all over the place, and my dogs stuck in their crates in filth. Two of the kittens ( 2 of which were purchased from Kyle Marble) were extraordinarily ill with oozing eyes and heavy nasal discharge. I took them to my vet where they deemed them to be very ill, and they were treated with amox and recovered, I however was informed since I was the legal owner of the animals, and even though I was out of town I was to know what condition they were in and was to be responsible as well ( again... while I was 800 Miles away) I however was held responsible for the two sick kittens ( even though I was not made away they were ill by the care taker) and as well for having a crate that was 1/8 inch too short for my toy poodle ( the dog crate was my fault! ) .

While I can say that the defendant Tammy Locklear did clear me and say the animals were in clean sanitary condition when I left, and she was convicted. While this is public information, if you are going to post information... at least have the facts in order, and if you are going to post citations, WHY NOT POST THE CONVICTIONS/OUTCOMES? Last I checked this was not a site of bash someone, and hide behind a curtain. I believe this is a complaints board, not a ohh I found an outdated mug shot for a charge she wasn't convicted of, or ewww I found a citation in which she was NOT FOUND GUILTY... It is absolute that you have a distinct feeling of being compelled to try to "hurt" me. What ever issues you may have with me, you would have to know me personally... so I employ you to contact me via my email, lets be adults and not falsely accusatory, as we know libel, can have a heavy penalty, and I am prepared to take legal means if necessary!

I can further speculate, that the kittens were already exposed to a virus, prior of coming to my home ( look up Kyle Ross Marble, Kyle Marble, Maryland in google ) and it would not be a far cry from other posts about him, but with the neglect of the caretakers, it is hard to prove, so I take caution to throwing loose accusations.

Tiffany is correct. She sent me shipping money for a male cat the 17th of December, 2013. She did not have money to purchase the cat, so I entered into an agreement with her ( 4th contract in 5 months, for the same cat) to allow her to use him as a stud for a fee of $800 per each litter conceived, and a purchase price of $1500.00 if she wanted to buy him outright, which did not include any stud fee due prior to buying him. I agreed to ship the cat out AFTER my children returned back to school the 6th of January 2013, due to holidays and the nearly 4 hour round trip to and from the airport.

We had agreed on the 8th of January to ship him. Almost every 3 days, Tiffany kept trying to pressure me to send the cat prior to the agreed date, and then would say she wanted her money back ( same as the other 4 contracts), I told her I would NOT attempt to drive all of my children and a newborn for 2 hours, to sit in an airport for 1-2 hours, then drive 2 hours back with young children.. Just not do-able. Unfortunately on the 8th we were stuck in a "Polar Vortex", and so it ensued on and off for the next several days.

Tiffany demanded that I send the cat by the 14th, of January to another state ( in which she did not reside to her husband, whom I don't know) and I told her due to the weather, we will have to play it by ear. Tiffany then said she wanted her money back, and was breaking the deal, unless I sent the cat by the 14th of January. I further let her know... that I did not feel comfortable with the back and forth and demands on sending a very valuable cat without any earnest money down, and I did not feel
comfortable, with me trying to do a favor to help her, and her feeling the need to dictate to me. I would not be bullied into sending a cat when I was not ready to, or when I felt weather did not permit ( my vet does not allow cats on the plane in temps below 36 degrees!) I then posted said cat online, and told her I would pay her by the 1st, or if I sold him prior to the first I would then return her shipping money before then. I urged her to charge it back via paypal, or through her credit card, she told be she was not able to. I again, agree Tiffany should have her $400.00 shipping fee back. I however I will not bend over backward to be harassed ( posting on every single photo on my personal facebook page including those of which my MINOR children were tagged in, posting anywhere, and well general threats and harassment besides being emailed constantly... in all honesty.. they don't make a big enough/strong enough pill to deal with that kind of crazy!)

I think it would be wise Tiffany, to not open up a can of worms on business practices and 100's on contracts you have broken with other breeders on you changing your terms on buying from them. Cheers!

Heather from Avante Cattery is very crooked she has token money from me to ship a seal point Siamese named Lefty on Jan. 8th and still hasn't, she promised to refund the money by the 1st of Feb. and hasn't. I feel she gives breeders a bad name. She has lied and lied and changed her story about 50 times... I hope everyone stays away from this breeder... I have all the emails and contract so if anyone would like to see it please feel free to message me.
