Auto Loan Write Off

January 16, 2014 SECOND REQUEST FOR HELP (Please Submit to accounting also)

This is not a complaint but a plea for help. Annisa Swannigan, 41 years old, a customer who is in need of great help because circumstances beyond her control/sickness. She has two young sons Saddiq and Ilyas who are 5 and 4 respectively. She was diagnosed and treated by doctors in Memphis who eventually told her that they had done all that they could do for her and that she would have to seek other help. Finally, research led her to Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. Her trip to Mayo led to test after test, preparation after preparation. She traveled months to Mayo Clinic until directed to come and stay there for months. She was informed by a team of doctors that she desperately needed a heart, a liver and a lung in order to live. Shortly thereafter, she was told that she was not a candidate for a transplant and that she would be made comfortable. However a few months later the new medicines worked for her and she was placed on the Transplant list. A match was found for a heart and liver. She is in fact the second person in the world to have this type of surgery. After the surgeries, it was determined that she did not need the lung. She could not work at all and unable to pay bills. This note is being sent to you as a request to allow Ms. Swannigan to keep the Malibu and write it off. She needs this transportation because she is solely responsible for getting her sons back and forth to school, doctor's appointments and other necessary places. Annisa now takes medicines that cost ranges from $1, 000.0 - $5, 000.00 a month in addition to her having to travel to Mayo Clinic at least once a month as Doctors are staying abreast of her condition quite regularly. She has to fly to Mayo and then secure lodging each month.
All of the information mentioned can be found on a website through the National Foundation for Transplants or by searching for her name. If you have questions, you may feel free to call me as I am working on projects to raise money, awareness and to secure funding for a continued need of medical expenses. My name is Gilda Gant and I can be reached at [protected] or at the church [protected].
Your helped is really, sincerely needed.
Respectfully submitted.

I receive Bi-weekly phone calls asking for payments after I refinanced my auto loan. I call for assistance and instead of redirecting me the collection department lady keeps saying "so when can I collect your payment". I get transfered to a guy named steve who then tell me to "go to the bank and tell my branch to send the check to their branch". Why can't wellsfargo make the arrangements within themselves?

Fifth Third Bank will not return your State of Ohio car title when you pay off the loan. They send a "lien release" and make you pay the Ohio DMV for another title. This is not disclosed when the loan is applied for and forces additional hidden costs onto the consumer. It also makes it difficult to sell a motor vehicle if you have an outstanding loan.

I bought my car 11 months ago and financed thru Drive Financial. I wanted to trade-in my vehicle and I figured-out that I am 8, 000 upside-down. Ooooops!. Now I do not know what to do, however, I see that many other people are in the same or worst. I think we are enough victims to get this case in a consumer protection agency or court. If somebody can initiate this matter will help many of us. Thank and count with me.

Auto Loan Late and Penalty Fee's

I got a car loan from them in 2008 for a truck bought by a Ford Dealership . I just went looking at cars and had a paid for car..next thing I know I had a loan..dumb me going to look at cars with drugs in my system. I have alot of health issues and fell behind and then relocated..was able to hold onto the vehicle for 2 yrs..problem is, , not only was there late fee's but there were penalties too, , so when I would make a payment only $1 would go to the principal. I tallekd to a worker and she looked at my account and tried to contact headquarters cause she said it wasnt right. her boss's said too bad..they wouldnt fix it. So after having the car for 2 yrs and owing almost the full amount, , I gave it back to them. It was the source of alot of stress and depression for me, , my credits screwed but the loan didnt help my credit either even if I was in good standing. Dont deal with these people..you will get screwed ..

Auto Loan Rip-off Loan

I gave my car title in order to obtain a loan. I payed every month the amount due plus an additional 11.00 a day if late, never paying into the loan. They have a repayment plan, but do not tell you if this repayment plan is not followed the loan will never be payed until the total plus other fees are payed in full. This is the biggest rip off of the century. I am hoping that everyone who got a title loan will report this unfair act and hopefully will in return recover money lost. And I know they will not survive due to the new law requlating these types of businesses. Just happy I got my title back and hope that I will never have to give it up again.

I advised the agent that not right. He said because if the interest on my SUV. I asked to speak with manager and agent put another agent on the phone. Never talked with a manager just agents playing on phone. My loan was sold to this company and really is trying to finish my business with them. This company applied late and interest that I was not aware of. Please advise on this matter.

We have been dealing with a auto finance company for 3 yrs, we ended up voluntary surrendering vehicle due to their constant hounding us, even if one day late they would call every phone we had sometimes 2-3 times daily and even call relatives and friends stating they were "CPS calling" they are consumer portfolio services. We set up arrangements of $50 mth they said it costs US $12 extra for them to process, due each mth on the 15th, they start calling us as early as the 5th of each mth every single day threats if we do not call back and "confirm" payment on the 15th. I really wish their were a lawyer with honesty that would be willing to take this company on as a class action law suit. They need to be stopped, I agree they are "Loan Sharks" Makes me wonder if they are run by the mob.?

Consumer Portfolio Services customer service representatives are rude, nasty, and they don't care what they say to you. My loan payment was 7 day late and they called me every day harassing me about when I was going to send it. I was even told by one of them that if I pay my other bills on time that I could pay them. I told that representative that I didn't owe her nothing and that my agreement was with the bank. I have never miss a payment, it's only been late. I have asked them not to call me anymore, but that does not seem to deter them. There ought to be a way to file legal actions against them for harassment, because that's just what they are doing.

Chase repossessed my car after I paid off my loan IN PERSON IN CASH at one of their branches in Boulder!
THEY harassed me for the life of the loan even when my check was only 2 or 3 days late.

Unfortunately My wife and I had to file for Bankruptcy in July of 09 and before we did our lawyer told us that if we did not want our auto loan to be involved we would have to call Fifth Third and do a LOSS MITIGATION. So on April 7, 2017 I called and talked to the branch the loan was through and they connected me to a Kim at the bankruptcy department and was told that the loan was REAFFIRMED. She told us all the amounts and at what the interest rate would be and the pay-off date. Now at the time of Christmas we get a call from Fifth Third and they told me that the loan was in default. After making all the payments on time since we have had the van, now they want more money that we do not have. I'm on disability and my wife is on workers comp. I have to pay for all my scripts and my health coverage. I'm relay piss est off and do not know what to do. I'm sick of explaining over and over again to someone you cannot understand what they our saying.

That's where you are wrong Brenda.
Although their job is to collect payment that were agreed upon, they also have the responsibility of being courteous & respectful.
They do NOT have the right to be rude, nasty or undermining.
If you read the complaints from others concerning this company you will see that over 90% of the complaints result from them being rude and nasty and NOT because they were calling to collect a payment.

Auto Loan Car was repossed with out notice

My car was repossed right before the last payment in which I was late for about 4 days. I made the payment the next day after repossesion this was 12/30/09. Jose Jimenez at County finacial asked for more paperwork on my end and had said the my car would be available by 12/31/09 morning. When we called he said he was verifying other information to call back @ 1:30p.m. when we called back we came to find out they closed early. So Monday came and we called @8 a.m. talked to another lady at the financial company they said that they could not find my car in they system, they gave us phone numbers to 2 different lots and both of them said that my car was not in the system, it is now Tuesday and the car still does not show up in the system. They are RUDE and threatfull and when it comes to customer satisfaction they suck.

Auto Loan Customer Service / Billing

I just had my first experience with Wells Fargo Financial customer service today, 9/8/09, and it was a terrible experience. The customer service representative was not very helpful, and when I asked to speak to a manager, she was very rude. She answered the phone with an attitude like I was bothering her by wanting to speak with her regarding my issue. I have never been late on a payment. I have had my car for one year, and this is the first month I need a deferrment. I explained that my husband and I have had unexpected school financial obligations, and I need a deferrment to prevent a 30 day late payment. I have always paid inside the bank with cash or a money order, but was told today that I have reverse payments on my account. When I explained that there is no way I could ever have reversed payments, the representative told me that is what is showing and she could not help me with that. She said I would have to talk to a customer service rep. She then went on to ask me when I can make a payment to have the account current. I told her that was the reason I was asking for a deferrment. I have never had a late payment, and this month, after a whole year of good payments, I am trying to protect my credit and account status and have been denied a deferrment. How am I supposed to remain a happy customer? Refinance with another company sounds good to me.

I called Chase auto finance per their request to discuss my delinquent payment due to medical bills/layoff and was treated with utter disrespect! I was/am appalled! The man had a VERY thick accent and was condecending with every word. He had no sympathy whatsoever for my situation and when I inquired about possible deferment, he said they would not grant a deferment because my situation was not temporary and I was a bad risk... that if they gave me the deferment, then next month I would still not pay. Then, he went on talking very quickly & I could no longer understand him at all so I said, "I can't understand you" and he said, very slowly & clearly, "yes, that happens whenever I'm saying something someone doesn't want to hear." When I tried to tell him that wasn't true, every time I tried to say one word, he cut me off saying, "No, it's a very common problem." He repeated that several times then stated, "I'm going to transfer you to someone else" at which point he put me on hold, I'm assuming indefinitely because I held for some time then finally asked myself why I thought he was actually going to help me & hung up. I did call back, spoke to a very nice gentleman who quickly & kindly helped me with my original question and I made a payment on the spot. He also apologized for the other operator's behavior & transferred me to a supervisor to tell her my tale. She replied in a manner that led me to believe that she was less than prone to believe me and that she was sure the operator did not intend to offend me in any way. Yeah, right. I shouldn't have bothered to talk to her. Chase obviously does not encourage kindness or understanding in their supervisors which would explain the behavior of the operator!

This bank represents very poor customer service. I have an auto loan with them, and have always paid on time. I have excellent credit. However, I am human and by an oversight, neglected to send in my payment one month. I did not receive any notification from them to notify me of my mistake (which would demonstrate good customer service). I was notified by a collection agency who threatened to re-posses my car. It turns out, that any notification they may have sent, was being sent to a wrong address! Interesting because they sure had the correct address on file when they sent my payment coupon book! I have great credit that will probably be hurt by their inadequacy and carelessness. I will be looking to refinance my loan somewhere else and will never do business with them again!

I originally got my auto loan through Santa Barbara savings and without any notice was transferred to CSC Logic. Last month they called me at work... believe that is illegal! I called them back, told them that they better never call me at work again. Told them the payment had been mailed and they should have gotten it. Well the next day it was taken out of my account... so that tells me that they had it all along! So now, payment has been sent and they have been calling my house starting the due date, the 27th and it was mailed and I bet they have it already and I am getting mad. Looking for another bank to transfer my loan!

Please beware of this company before you sign a contract with these people. They use intimidating collection practices and are Rated F with the BBB. This auto finance company will call your grandparents, any one they can and threaten to repossess your car after the date its due. They do not want you to send a check or money order, they prefer cash deposited directly into their account. They have came to my house 2x for a so called wellness check, although the payment was paid in full. They penalized me when they couldnt find the deposit that was placed into their bank accounts, I showed proof and receipt information and they sent repossession people to my house to intimidate me and my family. When you call their place of business Omar, Francisco, and Eddie will play games on the phone, hang up on you when you ask to speak to someone in charge, they disguise their voices, call you from their cell phones, this is so true, this is not an exaggeration. I have sent many complaints and I regret coming into contact with this company. I am sure other people are too. These people are unfamiliar with the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act. I asked the VP Eddie why he would harass me and send repossession people to my parent's home when my payment was paid in full, he refused to answer the question, he then told me I was not a consumer, I am a collection. " yes that statement did not make any sense" and is a prime example of the ignorance this company possesses. I hope other people step up and complain against this company everyone should utilize all resources and ensure to keep a paper trail on them it will be beneficial in court.

Auto Loan unable to contact company; payment returned refused by addressee

I usually make payments to this company on my auto loan either by mail or through my checking account. I sent July's payment through the mail on July 12. The payment was due on July 22. On July 20, the letter with the payment was marked "refused - return to sender" and returned to me. When it arrived, I immediately began calling the company at [protected] the number listed on the bill and at [protected], a number I found for the company on the internet. Both lines only give a busy signal and have done this since at least July 24. I don't know what else to do or how to send payment to this company. The company has been a rip off and has practiced many unsavorable practices such as claiming to have never received payment or claiming that payments sent by the bank took over 15 days to arrive. The entire time they build interest up. I just don't want to get cheated by this company again over this.

I am also having trouble contacting this company who have changed their name several times in the four yrs I have dealt with them. I have researched their company and came up with three additional numbers on top of the one that is on my bill. I was calling them because I never received my Aug bill! Please post any information that you come up with, I will do the same.

Auto Loan Verbal abuse!

I was contacted 3-19-08 on my company phone by Wells Fargo Auto Finance co. At that time I am six days late with my payment. The operator Jill ID#B146 was verbally abusive and yelling at me, demanding that I make my payment now or make pmt. arrangements. Which is ok with me except, being spoken to like that. I am always on time with my pmts., except this time. Is this customer service normal for six days late? Why should anyone do business with a company who condones this type of behavior from its representatives.
