Auto Gallery Motors has bad service and no cars

Company information:
Auto Gallery Motors

United States

I was in the market for a 328i. I had done my homework, and new exactly which options I wanted, and the base price of that model. Additionally, in order to

make sure I would get the price I wanted, I solicited an "internet" price from multiple BMW dealerships. To my surprise, Auto Gallery Motors offered me what

I wanted at a reasonable price... at least via the internet. When I arrived to the dealership, I patiently looked at the various cars available on the lot.

Within the first 5 minutes, I found two cars that had exactly what I was looking for. It took about 15 minutes until a salesman arrived to help me out... his

initials were L.K. Friendly and genial when I first meet him, he asked me about what I wanted. I explained the option package that I wanted, and the colors I

would prefer. He then invited me back into the showroom where I could sit, and he could look up on his computer if any models were available in the options I

had outlined. I sat waiting patiently for about 15 minutes before he returned. When he did, he proceeded to lecture me that the 328i was a hot commodity, and

cars went fast. He then listed 4 cars that were available in the lot that had the option I was looking for. Unfortunately, they all also contained other

premium mark-ups... pushing the price above what I had anticipated. Worse yet, he then proceeded to say these were the ONLY cars that they had with the

option I wanted. Sensing he was trying to "upsell" me, I mentioned that I had saw two cars in the lot that did not have the "premium" add-ons. He then

proceeded to say that I was mistaken, and that the ones I saw were of a different model. Next, L.K. then proceeded to push me to purchase one of the 4 cars

he had originally brought back on the table. I refused. So, he then tells me, he'll go check with his manager, as his manager has a different computer that

has more "upto date" inventory. Another 15 minutes later, he returns and says, oh yes, we have two cars with the make and options you want. I have the key,

lets go out and take a look. So, we then proceeded out the door to check out the car I had first found when I arrived at the dealership. L.K. then proceeded

to open the door with the wireless remote. When it didn't work, he told me that it didn't have a battery. Now, I thought he meant that the key fob didn't

have a battery. I was wrong. he meant that the car didn't have a battery. So, if I wanted to test drive the car, he would have to go get the mechanic to

install a new battery in the car. With that, I thanked L.K. for his time and promptly left the dealership. My experience at Auto Gallery Motors with L.K. was

nothing like my previous experience purchasing other BMW's at other dealerships. I had always assumed because of its 'premium' position, BMW sales people

treat customers with respect, and honor them with providing quality service. Because L.K. not only try to upsell me, but also lied to me to say that the car

I wanted was not on the lot, I felt like I was on a user car sales lot. Then when he mentioned that there was no battery in the car itself, I knew for sure I

was dealing with an amateur. Don't go to Auto Gallery Motors, and definitely don't deal with L.K.
