I have tried to cooperate with this company since they bought the mortgage from GMAC. They won't let me go online to pay, they won't allow me to receive monthly payments because I filed bankruptcy 4 years ago. It's like they want me to fail. Last January I tried to get a government reloan through NationStar. I sent in all the paperwork certified mail. They...

Well they seem to be moving to Tenn. & trying their brand of scam here. After 19 years of perfect payment history & NO need for ANY loan modification I have had every fee in the book charged to my account since these ### took it over.

Thery are messing with the wrong boy over here. Every contact with them has been recorded, including the one today.. We shall see how they react to a stiff lawsuit

Mr. Cooper terrible company

1. Removed from loan modification program without notification because I made a the first payment after the first of the month (when I was accepted into program) and the next months payment on the 30th of the month. (Stated making two payments in one month means your not having financial problems). Was notified by COLLECTION dept when they called for payment of the entire original payment amount after I made SECOND modified payment. 2. Even though I have an escrow account they did not pay my homeowners insurance. My husband and I then hate to fight for reinmbursement. 3. Following us fighting for reimbursement for HO insurance they raised my escrow payment WITHOUT notifying us. (Retaliation?) Started receiving collection calls in July 2010 for payment already made. (June payment) Found out on 9/1 they put the payment in an "unallocated forbearance account) instead of crediting our mortgage. Spoke to agent 9/1 who managed managed to straighten out the lack of credit and removed one late fee from our account. (I can prove we were NEVER late on our payments). On 9/5 I was notified by another lender we had applied to for refinancing the house (we are Desperate to get away from the predatory practices of NationStar) that NationStar had reposted on my credit I was late for my Mortgage. I called on 9/5 when I was notified anout this and spoke to a Shawn Justin who said he would look into the matter and would return my call no later than 9/12/11. He never called. In fact I left a message for him on the 12th which he never returned. I called on 9/13 asking to speak to HIS manager. I was denied access. Instead given to someone else who was VERY condescending and even stated that it wasn't NationStars fault they didn't pay the HO insurance from the escrow account. According to him it was MINE even though the insurance information had been the same throughout the 3 years they have held the mortgage! He also stated that them calling me 16 times in July for the June payment that they HAD received weren't harassing collection calls but attempts to "help".

Mr. Cooper service

Nationstar purchased our equity loan from another company, and it has been nothing but trouble from day 1. We received our First Due payment from Nationstart after it was due. No big deal right...there is a 30 day grace period. This was confirmed by one of their customer service representatives. The following month we had additional finance charges assessed to the account because of the "Late Payment". That took three different reps on the phone to get that one issue resolved, and another hour of my life. After much deliberation between my wife and I, we made the decision to pay off the loan. It took me 35 minutes to get to a person that could actually help me, because they didn't want us to pay the loan down. They sent me to a refinance division, they sent me to an assisted payment division...I just want to pay off the loan. They finally get me to the pay-off department. The customer service representatives (I say this plural because it took three more people) were very polite, very pleasantand probably well underpaid based on the fact that most clients must be extremely p'od by the time they get to a person. Now I need to wait 7-10 business days for this to come in the mail. In the mean time, another payment is due and was confirmed by their Pay-Off department that it will be included in the total. The certified check is cut, and sent certified the next day...Now the collection calls start. Two to three a day, different people. It took me another two hours and 5 people this time to find out that Nationstar misapplied the funds and it was an error on their end...all of which will most likely impact my personal credit score. As a CEO of a 75M+ company, if I found out my organization was run this way, I would be cleaning house starting with the highest paid Senior Managers. It's not likely they will ever realize the level of incompetance within the company.

Absolutely worst customer service I have ever encountered. My loan was originally with Bank of America who sold my loan to Nationstar. I was looking to refinance as my husband recently died and the interest rate was so high and the mortgage payments so high. I am "under water". Tried to do a HARP loan, but because my husband had not died two years prior, I was not able to get a HARPr loan. I understand guidelines, but I do not understand not returning calls, being rude. I have told them that I am seeking another lender. It will be worth it to me to pay $50, 000 to another lender to be rid of Nationstar. Run away from them if you are considering a loan with them.

My house is moldy and unrentable and THEY KEEP ME ON HOLD FOREVER AND DO NOT CARE!

Is there a class action against Nationstar? I am interested in registering if there is or getting a petition going if there isn't due to the trouble I have had dealing with this company. They out and out LIE, not just to me but to my HUD couseling authority as well. This is not acceptable and in light of current events with mortgage companies and real estate bubble burst, it is hard to imagine that this is still occuring by lenders.

Mr. Cooper personal

I recently caught my husband cheating and whats worse, during the pi investigation he found proof that two of his coworkers were doing the same. Just a note if these men are in high positions and are not afraid of cheating on their wives, they most certaily are not afraid of cheating you the consumer. Nationstar, great pay, great location, run by at least a few men who have no concerns but younger employees. I would share names but then my dearest Ex would get fired and those nice little "Sorry I couldnt keep it in my pants" Alimony checks wouldnt come. Good Luck and avoid at all cost.

Mr. Cooper practice

When your lending company thinks you are having difficulty with making mortgage payments, they SELL YOUR LOAN to the Nationstar collection agency GOONS for a dime on the dollar. They (Nationstar) make money getting two dimes (or more) than they payed by engaging in various goon-like practices for your money. TO my knowledge, THIS IS LEGAL. . Nationstar is essentially a collection agency. Thank your old loan provider for this wonderful selling-your-loan to Nationstar practice.

Mr. Cooper payments

I have been with Nationstar for about four years now. I lost my job 6-1-09. We did a loan mod, my wife lost here job 2-10-11 and just returned to the work force 7-1-11. We have been over 90 days past due since January of 2011. They have taken my payments up till 9-1-11. They're telling me that they can not take the one payment, that they have to have at least three payments before they can take my money. I asked " Don't you think if I had three payments to give you, we wouldn't be having this conversation." They are refusing my money! What do I do?

Mr. Cooper mortgage payments

In July, my mortgage was purchased by Nationstar Mortgage. Originally my loan was serviced through First Horizon. Each month, I have my mortgage automatically withdrawn from my bank to ensure that payments make it to my creditors on time. In addition, I always pay more than the minimum due on my mortgage and ask that the mortgage company apply the extra payment to the principle.

In July when my mortgage was transferred to Nationstar my bank erroneously sent two checks in the amount of $450 each to First Horizon for my July mortgage. On July 12th I called First Horizon who was still servicing my loan until the 15th of the month to make them aware of the error. I was informed by the customer service rep that the only way to correct the error would be to stop payment on the second check. She informed me that the mortgage company would apply one check to my account keeping it current and stop payment on the other. So, that’s what I did.

Weeks later I was contacted by Nationstar, the new mortgage company, notifying me that since I cancelled the EXTRA payment, the next month I would have to send certified funds and that I would be charged a $30 insufficient funds fee. I explained to the Nationstar customer service rep, Ursula, and the customer service manager that the check was not stopped for insufficient funds but that in the transfer from one mortgage company to another my bank erroneously sent two checks and that I stopped the check per the instructions of the First Horizon customer service rep.

I argued that I should not be penalized for canceling an EXTRA payment that was not required and was not intended for them anyway. I explained to the rep that I never intended to pay Nationstar $900 for the month of July when my mortgage note is only $428.42. I also tried to explain to the rep that it was the First Horizon rep who advised me to cancel the extra payment.

During a time when people are walking away from their mortgages, I am furious that this company would try to penalize me, a paying customer with a current pay history for stopping payment on a check that was not supposed to go to them anyway. The manager was rude and unhelpful. She made it appear as though this company is so desperate for a $30 fee that they would risk losing a paying customer. Ridiculous!

I so agree with all these complaints on Nationstar mortgage and they should be investigated. They are definetily scam artists and of all the complaints file on you site I pretty much had the same things happen to me. My mortgage was sold by Suntrust Mortgage (which is just as incompetent). every time you call or if they call you and leave a message, they seem to have no notice, they have repeatedly lost paperwork and we are now fed up.
They just want to make this a land grab, but they won't get much after I take all that I want in the house. Weare currently working with a realtor and she is having the same problems with them. Please anyone reading this DO NOT have any business with Nationstar Mortgage or Suntrust Mortgage

Mr. Cooper unprofessional and inept

We got stuck with them because security savings closed out. One of the most inexperienced people to deal with. We paid our mortgage on time and they applied to a different customer account and kept the Credit Bureau false reports. When questioned they confirmed that somebody else was listed as the owner of our property. So we are killed 2 ways 1) By credit reports and 2) by not having our name associated with the property. It has been 5 months and they are still working hard to straighten this out. We are fed up sending papers and papers. We had a hail damage on our property and insurance company issued checks in joint name for the property to be repaired. It took them 3 months to release the check from their end requesting one document after the other. We suffered additonal damage because the property was not repaired. For the final check again we are on the paper trail. I would say please check out on the companies before you agree to have your loan pleadged. Very unprofessional and uncurtious.

Mr. Cooper This company is a bunch of lies and cheats

For 3 years now we have done EVERYTHING that Aurora has asked for in order to get a loan modification. We’ve kept perfect notes, days, dates and whom we’ve spoken to.

They even advised us to go late 3 months before they would really take us seriously. Being we are NEVER late on any payments we were apprehensive. But after a few days took there advice. They then threaten for closure. So we immediately caught up. Now there threatening foreclosure due to we owe them 14, 222. dollars in late fees If not paid in 30 days. This company is a bunch of lies and cheats... How can they get away with this?

They also told us to miss a payment in order to be considered, we also were never late on our payment, two years later after going through the maze of misinformation, it cost us 15, 000, plus an increase in our payment, instead of going down it went up, we have never encountered a business where it seems that all the employees are into this deception up to their necks! This mortgage company is completely unethical and predatory. I have paid my mortgage faithly every month and have paid my taxes (no escrow) not all of a sudden they want to escrow my mortgage when my contract states I am responsible for my taxes. They will not let me speak to anyone in that department and now wants me to show them proof with my closing documents that they already have. I can't believe such underhanded tactics. I want out for this mortgage company. I will be contacting the attorney General's office in Michigan.

Mr. Cooper harrassment

Nationstar mortgage has been a nightmare. We continously get late notices in the mail. Last week we got 4 default notices, one of which was a certified letter. We have never been late. Just today I found out they have put 1, 120.00 dollars on my credit report. I could on and on about what they have done that is shaddy. I'm on disability and this worrying has caused alot turmoil for me. Its a constant worry about what they are going to do next.
Foreclosure notices are feared everyday. As I said, I have never been late on payments. I recently disputed their claims of late payments on the 3 major credit reporters. I think my last resort is going to be to sue them. If anyone has a class action in place please contact me. 704.433.1258

Yes, I agree. Nationstar is horrible. They have me in Foreclosure, and I am filing suit. I will help with class action.
We can file this in Federal District Court in NC for approx $350. I will submit the paperwork. Let's get 350 people, each submit $1 and sue these good folks for Punitive Damages. Lets' have their charter revoked in NC, we can get subsequent filings in all 50 states and go after their charter. We should have at least 50 of these suits. I will spearhead NC. You can call me Wes Hudson [protected], my email is weshudson@yahoo.com. God Bless all, and GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Mr. Cooper forced escrow even with proof

Nationstar is at it again. Their BBB rating has dropped from a B= to a "B". And with a company as large as this, there are many unresolved issues and complaints out there to make this happen. It would take literally hundred of unresolved complaints that the BBB would have sided with the consumer to make this rating go down.

Our story, yet again Nationstar is forcing Escrow on us again. Yes we have proof all was paid, yes they have the proof, and YES they could care less. We we even told it is at their "discretion" and even if we paid 3 years of taxes in ADVANCE, they would still do this. But here's the catcher, they stated there was nothing we could do about it.

Wrong.

I too am going through the same problem right now; Nationstar is the worst and since they brought my mortgage note from another lender, it has been hell. I am fighting in foreclosure, all due to illegal fees and forced escrow and taxes. Prior to them I had an excellent mortgage payment history and now my credit is ruined. We should all join forces and try to get their license revoked, that would get their attention and drop their rating below average. If anyone is interest, my email address is whitneyp39@aol.com .

Mr. Cooper payment increase

Within the last six months we received notice that our loan was transferred to Nationstar. All was well until i received a letter last month saying that our payment increased by $150 due to a change in the escrow account. The reason for the increase in escrow was because they put force placed insurance on our property. They claim that during 2010 we did not have insurance. First off we have had insurance since the start of our loan with our former lender and second, they did not even own our loan last year. My insurance company faxed a letter sayign that we have had coverage since 2005. So I made our regular payment. Nationstar keeps calling us and saying that our payment is late because they won't apply the paymet since it is less than what is owed. I called back and they wanted a "declarations" page from our insurance, so I sent it to them. Now I have to wait 5-7 days for them to refund the excrow account and reevaluate our escrow account. All the while I am being harrassed. I refuse to pay the increase because it is their error and no fault of mine. If they even try to hit my credit I will be looking to take legal action. I own four properties and have never been late once in the seven years I have owned them.

Mr. Cooper they say that I am past due in payments

My mortgage was sold to nationstar mortgage in dec, 2010 from sun trust bank... Since then nationstar says that I am 2 months behind in payments. I have continually sent cancelled checks, bank statements, loan modifications documents from sun trust; but to no avail... They will not even acknowledge that this these documents have been received. I have never been able to talk to the same person more than once... It is as though the individuals that you are talking are on a time table and they are in a hurry to get you off the phone... Either someone is pocketing these payments or they are incredibly stupid or inept.. They are not only charging me a late fee everymonth, but it is going against my credit everymonth.

Nationstar is Rated B+On a scale of A+ to F by Accredited business not by anonymous people like the party bringing complaint. I truly doubt this complaint is valid. The complaint has no integrity nor character.

Nationstar is a great company and great companies are made by great leadership, management and employees.

Im laughing at how this person throws the managers name and last name out there but is coward not putting her/his name & phone number to give the company a chance to make things right. Managers will always be criticized because they can't please everybody.
If you don't want to deal with foreclosure or modifications, don't fall behind on payments, a bad economy only reveals poor stewardship, people who live above their means and latter can't afford them. Don't be mad at the mod team for your bad situation. I've experienced great customer service.

Anonymous critiques never count. If the company was full of uneducated employees they wouldn't be amongst the fastest growing companies. Nationstar is a great company.

Mr. Cooper fraudulant practice

My house loan was purchased from nationstar in 2009. Since then, there have been many bogus late charges, forclosure fees, picture taking fees, etc added to my account. I was one payment behind when they decided forclosure would take place. Since then, they have offered remodification options that no matter how many times you fill out forms, never get completed. 2 weeks ago, they claim I owe 4000. oo in back payments, legal fees, interest etc, today they claim its 5600.oo. They are rude, crass, and refuse to work anything out with the borrower. Needless to say, my credit is destroyed now, and I have no way of making these bogus payments up, therefore its a good possibility that I will lose my home.

Your credit is destroyed and you are being foreclosed on, but you are only behind one payment? Something doesn't sound right...
