I ordered at&t's dsl 1.5m internet service. I was told to go to www.att.com/rewards in 21 days from order date to receive a visa gift card. the web address is invalid. I called at&t, and they gave me a new web address, reward center.att.com. There's no reward offer. After trying several times, I was finally able to speak to someone. They said that I didn't qualify for any rewards. Before I could ask any more questions, they disconnected me. at&t must be doing false advertising to get people to use them. I'm not real happy.

The most hated company out there. They blatantly LIE to get you to sign up. 6 MONTHS later, still haven't received the $250 in gift cards promised. They just continue to give you the runaround until most people give up. Not so fast-I'm a little tired of companies like this taking advantage of people and have been in contact with the office of the state attorney general to pursue legal action against them for fraud.

AT&T will not honor the price quoted for bundled services
All services ordered and installed 3/18/2021. We agreed on the following services: 25mbs internet Wi-Fi, 2 phone lines, AT&T TV / cable. Price quoted initially at $144.98. (an estimated total monthly bill including taxes and fees) The 2nd call was placed to reconfirm 3 services and $144 price, at this time was quoted a new price @ $147.11. Although, there was a price change it was approved by me for the new price of $147.11. Upon receiving the 1st bill of $244; was paid. As of the 4/17/2021 bill was for $135.75 and my debit card was charged for $65.52.
At no time was I told the bundle services were not available. At no time was I told there would be 2 different bills. I called and spoke with Johnnetta regarding a missing cable box, and then told there would be 2 different bills and the TV MUST be drafted separately. Again assuming the $147 - $65 = $81.95 to be paid monthly by me. But now I’m told an additional $65.52 will charged to me. (?) The misinformation and false advertisement by AT&T. Now AT&T will not honor the price quoted to me. Because of their misconception they are not willing to fix this issue they created.
Finally spoke with manager Nicki (emp ID # NC356B): she said although AT&T made the mistake in not setting up the Bundle service as requested at the initial setup call; there is nothing that can be done and they cannot fix this problem with the price. Therefore I’m screwed and must pay the addition amount.

They have been lying to me for over a year now. I was told that when I moved I had to buy new equipment but the would reimburse me the money on a gift card and it would come in the mail within 8 weeks. I kept looking and finally called. I have chatted and called them constantly and then tonight after being transferred 4 times, she said that since I wasn't a new customer I didn't qualify. I was supposed to get it for buying the new equipment not for being a new customer. I don't like being lied to!

I am currently on hold with AT&T customer care rep by the name of Irene. I signed up for Directv in the beginning of June and was promised a $500 reward. I received a $200 card in the mail about a month later. I called back before activating the card to make sure it wasn't them thinking I wouldn't notice their mistake. I spoke with Matt in customer care on 6/27/18 at 3:10pm who told me the additional $300 was being sent out the first week in July. He said they would be 2 separate cards, a $200 one and a $100 one. Now as I call back, first on hold for 42 minutes, then get a rep by the name of Ashley, who said it was no where in their system and I needed to talk with Customer Care...again. Now on hold as Irene try's to find a supervisor for me to speak with. Asked me to accept her apology on behalf of the company, but there was nothing she could do as it was not documented anywhere. I have asked several times for them to listen to my original conversation which they say "is monitored and recorded', they seem to ignore me even saying that. Now I am being transferred to a supervisor, and guess what...no one is picking up! I am reporting this to BBB when I am done typing this.

I traded my iphone 5 and received the $200 goft card that expires!
Is it legal business practice that buy customer's phone with giftcard that you can only uses in AT&T and expires in 6 month?
Isn't this some sort of stealing?
If you do the math, AT&T has my iphone and paid nothing for it.

Can we do something about this against AT&T?

A similar incident happened to me.

The same thing happened to me. I just got off the phone. I was sent to both customer service the rewards department twice! The call lasted more than one hour!

I was told that since I did not claim the gift card, it had expired. So there was nothing they could do to fix the issue. I told them that I did not receive anything in the mail or email. This did not matter. Even the supervisor could not fix it either. This was a complete fraud! Now I believe that the mail was never sent anyway. Why didn't they send a text message or email.

This is so sad! I expected much more from AT&T! I will not keep quiet about this until this injustice is corrected. There are many avenues these days to let others know about this fraud!

SCAM ALL DAY! AT&T should be held accountable for this! I was told 3 months ago, when my Uverse service was established that my order qualified me for $200 in Visa gift cards! After a month I still had not received them. I called and inquired and was told they could take up to 3 months to arrive. A month later while addressing a technical issue I was experiencing, I inquired again and was told that they could see the gift cards were due to me and again, to wait a bit longer. This month was the third month. I called to report I had not received the gift cards... I was transferred to the rewards department for the first time since reporting this issue. I was then told a letter went out and that it instructed me on what steps I needed to take to redeem the gift card and that due to my nonresponse, the gift card expired a week or so earlier! I've disputed this with every level of management available. Dead Ends... Adding insult to injury, I've had multiple interruptions in service as apparently my area is newly added to their service and the box that controls my signal has had some issues that are still being resolved... I want to disconnect service and state that due to the variety of issues I've experienced in just three months of service I feel early termination fees should be waived. Again told NO! How do we start holding these companies accountable for their dishonest business tactics!?!

Look, we have all been bamboozled by AT&T. I was promised waived activation fee for Uverse 200 and Internet. I was told the U200 had the same stations as Comcast digital extended basic. First thing I noticed no MeTV or Hallmark Channels. I was told my cell phone signal would strengthen with the Uverse wireless. I was told two data overage charges on my cell phone would be waived. I was told I would not be paying a monthly equipment fee. I was told I'd get a $150 Visa Gift Card, that would arrive in time for the first bill that would be unusually higher due to the prorated services and one month advance billing. I was told the Visa Gift card would be about 4-6 weeks.

Well, my cell phone bill had been credited for the overages. But, they added them back the next bill. My crappy cell phone signal stayed the same. I see a equipment monthly bill. They charged me for the activation fee. I had to fight with them to get these things cleared up. First, they told me there was no notes about anything being waived. I also told them about reading the hundreds of reviews online about customers same complaints. I told them this would bring a class action lawsuit for fraudulent practices and false advertisement, and how I could not believe they were letting their agents blatantly lie about anything just to get people to sign up for the services, and then just pretend no one told the customers anything.

The website start saying you have to some online redemption before they'd send the card out. I told her no one told me when I signed up for the services that I had to do anything to get the card. So, I didn't know you had to do anything before a certain date. They changed the bill. They gave me free HD upgrade. They took off for the equipment charge. I was pleased once I saw that the bills had been changed. Then, I never received the gift card. Every time I called to complain I mentioned the lack of receiving the gift card. They kept telling me you have to pass the 30 days before they send it out, and then it will take 4-6 weeks. I said that's not what they told me when I signed up for the services.

The supervisor who approved the sale told me by the time I got the first bill I would have received the gift card. That it actually doesn't take longer than 7 days to 2 weeks. So, I waited until the 4 weeks was up. I called and they told me there was nothing on my account about a Visa gift card. I said that's BS! If that was the case, when I complained several times earlier about not receiving the card, they would have told me that then. They were looking at the same account he was. But, he'd add it and it would take 4-6 weeks. I said, "Hell No!" I've already waited and the bill is due. I asked to speak to the supervisor. She informed me that it was a mistake and how sorry she was that this happened.

I said I don't feel I should have to wait and get my services turned off or get late fees added for being late. I didn't have the money for that huge bill. And, I was supposed to be using the Visa gift card to pay it. She promised me that the card would be sent but she could do nothing about the time I'd receive it. I told her, "I tell you what. Why don't you take the $150 off of my bill, and then AT&T can wait for the gift card and reimburse themselves!" She told me she was sending a check, and that was the only way she could assure me that it wouldn't take long. Now, I'm waiting. I went ahead and paid the bill. But, I believe every last one of us for the hell we've been put through should file a class action lawsuit against AT&T.

This is ridiculous the amount of people that have been lied to in order to get their business by AT&T. They KNOW full well they are practicing this fraud regarding the services, promises, charges, and not receiving the gift cards or rebates. Everyone should report them to the BBB or FCC, and consult with lawyers about the class action lawsuit. They've already had one against them for those 3rd party billings they were allowing. This is even worse. I mean, they don't just lie about one thing. They are lying about multiple perks to get you to sign up for their services. Either AT&T are desperate or people were going to lose their jobs for failing to make their quotas on sales.

I can't wait for this year to be up, so I can go back to Comcast. It is higher in cost and has it's problems, but I didn't go through any of the crap I've been through since switching. It isn't the service either. I like it. But, it's the billing practices and fraud that make me want out. If I don't get that check. I'm taking this as far as I can go to get it resolved. It has to go further than agents and supervisors. Anyone can pretend they are supervisors. Good luck to everyone who is being put through this crap.

All I did was inquire about getting AT&T internet and found it was unavailable in my area. Someone called me later saying that AT&T was offering me a $100 visa gift card as compensation for not having service in my area. I asked what the catch was and they told me it would cost $5 and I would then receive some free magazine subscriptions. I'd heard this before. So I asked the representative when I would have to start paying for my "free subscriptions" and he guaranteed that I never would. Then I asked when would I have to cancel? "Never, they'll just stop being sent to me." Well 3 months later I not only never received a visa card via email or in the mail but I was also being charged $40.00/month for my "free subscriptions" which were crap magazines and just thrown in the recylcing bin. The company associated with this scam is called "Magazine Co.". After I called them to complain, they refunded me the money for my "free subscriptions" but I still have no $100 AT&T Visa card that I was oringally promised. I know this scam with subscriptions but I've never had a representative so openly lie to me about never having to pay for them and never having to cancel. AT&T has truly turned into a poorly run company with no shame.

p.s. The representatives also give you false information on what your bill will be. Promised $14.95 a month for a year but first two months are REALLY $45.00 a month. No explanation as to why this takes place. Just pissed!

When you go to AT&T rewards center there is NO place on that site to activate your reward card. Attempting to activated my card by phone their system did not recognize me. After several frustrating phone calls to AT&T half hour later finally got a LIVE person and almost ready to blow my top, I FINALLY got my card activated. I wish I had found this complaint sight before signing up for DSL. Their system sucks.

Same thing is happening to me right now. I signed up for the internet service and home phone bundle on the website with the guidance of chat session with a rep. She assured me that I would get the $100 rebate on my Gateway modem, and also offered me a $75 Visa card from her department. I have the printout of the chat session as well. But after 2 months of activation, I didn't see any eligible rewards on the rewards site, so I have been calling for days just to hear the reps tell me that I do not qualify for any rewards. After calling the rewards center, sales, and customer care so many times only then they offered me a $100 rebate as if they were doing me a huge favor. I still complained because I wanted to get my $75 Visa card, and asked all the departments to help me but they all said no. I even offered to show them the printout of my chat session, but no one cared, and kept repeating, "you do no qualify for that" or "I don't see it on my system" or "My department can't help you, try calling the other department." Yesterday alone, I've been on the phone for over an hour, spoke to at least 6 different people, who kept on transferring me. And still nothing. The reps promised to me to have a supervisor call me, but no one has called me yet. It's really frustrating and their attitudes upset me very umch.

ISSUES CAN BE RESOLVED VIA CUSTOMER CARE
If youre supposed to get a rebate, it will be a gift card for signing up for services or purchasing or upgrading eQuipment. (https://rewardcenter.att.com/ is wokring) Young America is the name of the rebate comapny att uses and customer care can give you the number. Young america can tell if you were supposed to get a rebate and if eligible they will send it to you without any paper work being required.
if they find you are not eligibel for any rebates or rewards and they were promised to you, you have TWO OPTIONS. you can cacnel and request the early termination fees waived based on false information being provided. engaging a manger will all but guarentee waiver of etfs. (if often delinquent, currently past due, often failing to meet patyment arrangements for late bills they may not wiave the fee),
or you can ask that they honor the promised amounts on your bill, they will look for notes on the account that may detail the offer, if unable to find notes about the rebate they may say they wont refund hte money, ASK THEM if there is someone else you can speak with bc there are other people that have mroe information about your account and can even contact the person who promised you the rebate or reward to find out what they were offering so they can honor it. when you call att, if you provide the account information and passcode we can open your account to view your information. everytime someone calls in, a notaion is automatically put into their billing system that includes the date, time, the name of the person calling, the account or telephone number being referenced, the representatives name, and the representatives id number. REPS CAN BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE for providing misinformation.
BUT BEWAREB, we are all human and these are easy mistakes for reps to make, thinking a rebate is included or mis quoting the amount. rebates are DIFFERENT PER REGION (not state) for example texas has 5 regions, each region has different rebate promotions, and they take calls from all over the country. whats more they get calls about rebates OFFERED BY OTHER COMPANIES. Att allows you to purchse phones and upgrades at bestbuy, redioshack, walmart, letstalk.com, and indipendant retailers like pinkys wireless or cellular world. they dont support those rebates. (my grandpa was furious about att not beingable to find his rebate informaiton, but he used the att upgrade discount to buy his phone at bestbuy. we had to go to best buys webstie to redeem the rebate) contacting the rep by speaking with a manager will include discipline for the rep up to termination of employment. if you call in and are very upset but dont want that REPRESENTATIVE TO BE FIRED, say so. its hard for people who have been fired to find a job, especially right now.

This is nuts! I was promised a $1oo gift card for ordering DirecTV, which was "supposed" to be mailed to me AND a $50 gift card that I had to go online to att.com/rewardscenter to claim. I was told today that I never qualified for either! Seeing that I have already ordered DirecTV and bundled my services...I'm pissed. I just filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and am requesting to be reimbersed for the $150 that I was promised by AT&T. You guys/gals should do the same-

OMG! OMG! OMG! I CAN'T BELIEVE AT&T! THIS HAPPENED TO ME TOO! WHEN I SIGNED UP 4 THE SERVICE I WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD RECEIVE A MAIL IN REBATE FOR $100. I CALLED THEY GAVE ME THE WEBSITE rewardcenter.att.com, THEY SAID FOR ME TO WAIT 3 TO 4 WEEKS. SO, I DID THEN WENT ONLINE AND HAD NO SUCCESS. IT SAID THAT I DIDN'T QUALIFY FOR THE REWARD. I THEN DECIDED TO WAIT AN EXTRA WEEK TO MAYBE GIVE IT SOME TIME. I TRIED AGAIN AND NOTHING. TODAY I CALLED THE REWARDS CENTER PHONE NUMBER AND THEY TOLD ME THAT I DO NOT QUALIFY FOR THE REBATE! I COULDN'T BELIEVE MY EARS! I EXPLAINED WHAT THE AGENT HAD TOLD ME WHEN SIGNING UP. SHE THEN TOLD ME THAT I WOULD HAVE TO CALL ANOTHER NUMBER, WHICH IS THE GENERAL AT&T CUSTOMER SERVICE PHONE NUMBER. SO, I CALLED THAT PHONE NUMBER, WASTED MORE TIME IN EXPLAINING EVERYTHING AGAIN, TO HAVE THIS AGENT TELL ME THE SAME THING. THAT I DID NOT QUALIFY FOR A REBATE. I HAVE THE PERSON'S NAME AND DATE WHEN I CALLED. IF THEY WANT TO THEY CAN LISTEN TO THE CONVERSATION, SO THEY CAN SEE THAT I'M NOT BEING FALSE AND WHAT IS FALSE IS THE INFORMATION I WAS TOLD OVER THE PHONE BY AT&T'S REPRESENTATIVE! THIS AGENT THEN TELLS ME THAT IF I SIGN UP FOR A U-VERSE I COULD GET MY REBATE MONEY BACK. NOW I WOULD HAVE TO BE A REAL DUMMY TO BELIEVE THAT CRAP! I OF COURSE TOLD HER NO THANKS. THEN I TOLD HER THAT I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE $100 ANYMORE, I JUST WANTED TO SPEAK WITH A SUPERVISOR TO LET HIM/HER KNOW WHAT WAS HAPPENING AND THAT IT WAS WRONG. SHE THEN PUT ME ON HOLD, CAME BACK TO THE LINE & PUT ME ON HOLD AGAIN. TOOK FOREVER THEN SAID THAT THE SUPERVISOR WAS ON THE LINE W ANOTHER CUSTOMER. SHE ASKED FOR MY PHONE NUMBER AND SAID THAT AS SOON AS THE SUPERVISOR WOULD GET OFF THE PHONE THAT SHE WOULD RETURN MY CALL. WELL, THAT WAS ABOUT 7 HOURS AGO. I'M GOING TO DO WHAT TOOTLES SUGGESTED, I"M COMPLAINING TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU! THIS IS NOT RIGHT! THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME AT&T DOES THIS. THEY DID THE SAME TO MY UNCLE. THEY TOLD HIM THAT HE WOULD RECEIVE A $50 REBATE, HE KEPT CALLING VARIOUS TIMES QUESTIONING ABOUT IT AND THEY WOULD JUST SAY THAT HE SHOULD RECEIVE IT IN X AMOUNT OF TIME, HE NEVER RECEIVED ANYTHING! THIS IS JUST A TRICK THEY DO, TO GT PEOPLE TO SWITCH TO AT&T! COMCAST NEVER PROMISED ME PROMISES THEY COULDN'T KEEP!

THIS IS SAME OLD NEWS WHAT AT&T HAS DONE AND IS STILL DOING TO PEOPLE! MISLEADING & DECEITFUL PROMISES TO THEIR OWN CUSTOMERS! IS IT THEIR ANSWERING AGENTS FAULT OR AT&T TELLING THEIR AGENTS TO TELL US ALL THIS UNTRUTH? MAYBE EVERYBODY SHOULD "COMPLAIN" TO THE " BBB" (BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU) OR/AND THE " FCC " (FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION)! I GUARANTEE THESE TWO "GOVERNMENT AGENCIES" WILL AT LEAST "INVESTIGATE" THIS MATTER WITH " AT&T " AT NO COST, AND NO CHARGE TO YOU AT ALL! AND YOU CAN EVEN FILE YOUR " COMPLAINT " ONLINE OR BY MAIL! LOOK IN YOUR "PHONE BOOK" OR "ONLINE" FOR THEIR TOLL FREE TELEPHONE NUMBERS! YOU HAVE TO GO ABOVE AT&T HEAD AND THIS IS TWO WAYS YOU CAN DO IT AND GET SOME SORT OF RESULTS! SO STAND UP FOR YOURSELF AND GET YOUR COMPLAINTS SENT IN TO " FCC " AND THE " BBB" DO IT FOR YOURSELF "IF" YOU WANT SOMETHING TO BE DONE AND IT WILL NOT COST YOU ANYTHING EXCEPT A LITTLE TIME GETTING YOUR "COMPLAINT" WRITTEN AND SENT IN!

GOOD LUCK AND GODSPEED TO YOU ALL!

Iwas told to go tothe att rewards my visa worth $70.00 which I can't find the site and then I received a postcard in the mail telling me to go to att.com/rewards and still I can't find the site or get my supposedly rewards. Is this how you are doing business now because if this is something should definitely be done about this and this is going to push business away from you.

I was told the same thing about I qualify for the $70.00 dollars reward for a Visa and I also received in the mail a postcard instructing my to go to att.com/rewards which seems not to exist. Is this the new way a reputable company that has been around for years is doing business now. Something has to be done about this now. And this is the best way for you to be losing alot of customers.

That is exactly what happened to me! AT&T should be ashamed of themselves and they should have to answer for this lie they are apparently telling people! MAYBE even send the people that have been told this a gift card anyway! SHAME ON AT&T !
