Atlaseditions.co.uk sending die cast toys which I did not order then sending demanding letters

About 12 months ago a friend who has no Internet asked me to order him a watch from said company on a special offer he had seen in a news paper about three pounds or so.
I did .
Then a few weeks later I received another watch which I did not order for the value of about twenty pounds with no return address.
Then to my amazement a couple of weeks after that they sent me a die cast toy which I did not order then I started to receive demanding letters for the extortionist value of this junk and still no return address. Now a dept collection agency (C.C.C. Collect) has sent me demanding letters for a watch £39.45
for a watch I did not order .Now the value has doubled. It is a disgrace that screamers like these can use dept collection agencies to collect there ill gotten gains
Something needs to be don about this company and quick as I fear hundreds of other people will fall fowl to this scam

Atlaseditions.co.uk Sloppy service bordering on criminal

I also made the mistake of purchasing a model from Atlas Editions. The models are accurate, but they are overpriced at £19.
After months of messages and emails to them I contacted Citizens Advice who work with Trading Standards The following is the email I sent today:
Re: Information about an invoice/payment [5613766-[protected]]
Dear Atlas Editions
I have received your letter regarding outstanding payments:
I cancelled all subscriptions after receiving the Heinkel HE-111: ref [protected] 06/11/2015 and returned the model via GPO, because I considered the price to be too High. The Focke- Wolfe FW20 was received after the New Year, long after cancellation. I requested time and again for a return label but it was not forthcoming so I wrote to you to say that I now considered the model to be a gift, and duly gave it to my nephew for his birthday.
I am not alone in having this trouble from AE as a search on the Internet will show: Your company is inefficient almost to the point of criminality.
You threaten me with Debt Collectors, unless you employ thugs, debt collectors cannot operate without a County Court judgement.
I have now taken the matter up with Trading Standards: case ref [protected], and am now considering organising a Class Action with all the other complainants against Atlas Editions for malpractice.
This email is cc to Atlas' MD Mr Stainthorpe
(apparently MD Mr Guy Stainthorpe lives in France, judging by his email address, probably in one of the WWII bunkers to avoid the flack).

Citizens Advice remarked that I had done everything by the book and gave me the Trading Standards reference number This is the route that all complainants should take.
Hopefully Trading Standards will give them a sharp kick up the bum!
John

Atlaseditions.co.uk Scammed

My husband bought a small truck (collectible/toy) for a small amount from a magazine article and paid for it - months ago! We have just had a debt collectors letter for £18.99. They have never written or contacted us in any way prior to this. Apparently it is in the small print somewhere and states that if you do not buy more from them they reserve the right to charge the "FULL" price. What a mean way to extort money from the public. We have paid because we do not want to go to County Court for this. We do not want a black mark on our credit rating for such a measly amount.

I have been a loyal customer with Atlas Editions for several years and have always been happy with their products, I am currently collecting four different collections. Last year I received a number of letters from them saying that I had not paid for certain parcels I had received. I had sent payment for all my deliveries and have all the customer copies of the invoices to prove it. I was then referred to CCS collect for the outstanding balance. I was furious about this as I had paid all my bills. In the end I paid CCS the balance, CCS closed my account saying I had paid the balance. I assumed that my Atlas Edition account would be reopened and that I would start receiving my collections again.I spoke and emailed Customer Services several times, initially I was told that my account would be reactivated, then I was told that once my account had been referred to CCS my account could no longer be reactivated and I could not buy anything else from Atlas Editions.
I am furious with this situation I have 4 collections that are half complete and have been told that I cannot restart them, all this is due to no fault of my own and I will continue to get this decision reversed and if necessary pursue legal action against Atlas Editions to get my account reactivated. This situation has really disappointed me with this company and I will think very hard whether to purchase any further products from them.
The other point with this issue there is nowhere in any correspondance from the company to inform you that this will happen if you are ever referred to CCS and I would be interested to know if anybody else has experienced this. On several occasions I have requested a contact name for someone senior in the company so that I can discuss this issue with them but have not had any luck.
I now have four Atlas Editions collections that are half complete making me feel angry that unless this is sorted soon I have been paying for collections over several years for nothing.
I will take this issue as far as is necessary to get a satisfactory outcome.

Atlas edition, by 3 times during my subscription with them ask me for money I did not owe as everything was paid by direct debit.I received debt collectors notice and threats without any warning that money was due. Giving them the benefice of the doubt, I paid the first 2 claims, thinking that may be some payments was missed by the bank as my subscription at that time was ongoing. But 1 year after my subscription was over and not more items were sent, out of the blue last month, I got a letter from a debt collector asking me to pay immediately before court action £ 82.56!
I never got any contact from Atlas Edition for one year and was not aware about this amount due! I saw red and contacted Atlas Edition and CCS debt collector and gave them a piece of my mind.During 4 weeks, I had to search for all my bank statement dating January 2015 to Dec2016, echnaged countless emails to challenge them that no money was due.In fact I realised going through my statements that I overpaid them and they took more of money by direct debit .After sending them all my statements as proof of payment, I received this email:

"Thank you for all the documents. We do apologize for all inconveniences we did bring. As we see that you are good customer to us and due to some technical errors and miscommunication on our side we did cause you extra issues we decide to settle your account and take your details out of CCS databaze. Please aware that whole proccess of communication between us and CCS does take approximatelly 2 weeks.
Should you wish to contact us again on this subject, please make sure you insert the reference above in the title of your email."
Yours faithfully,
Customer Services

This company is very dodgy and I will ask all of you to make an official complaint to the Ombudsman as I am doing! The more complaints, the better to stop this deceptive company!

Could you explain why my payments were not taken on the 12th of may and 9th of june as a result of which I have received a letter stating that I owe 37.96 pounds titled 2nd: reminder, when I have not received the 1st: reminder. I have spoken to Val and Chris re: this and have not got a sensible reply. What I cannot understand is that payments have been taken from my account monthly till May and June and some one has forgotten to take these payments and make silly excuses like they did not have my card details etc: I am a pensioner and therefore I have a tight budget to accommodate my payments. With all your advertisements, you still employ inefficiency which should not be tolerated or are you in that high frame of success that you do not care for the obvious. You should sack whoever is responsible for bringing stress to an old man and keep the vestige of honour to your establishment. Have you forgotten the code of conduct that " The client is always right ' Claude. J.S. Orr.

I am Benedict Darmanin my collection was "The Glory of Steam" Pocket Watches I was quite pleased with the service up to the point when I tried to cancel Yes folks, We have all been really annoyed at the service this Co, has afforded us, Not one of us can honestly say " I e-mailed Atlas Editions" They do not have an e-mail address that you can prove you have sent an e-mail, They just have a message board that they probably wipe clean any cancelation requests so that they can claim no contact was received in the event of legal proceedings a very underhand system of doing business
