Aspen Dental balance billing

The Aspen Dental office number is 1416

I had a tooth that needed to be pulled so on1/9/2017 decided to visit Aspen Dental because they are a in-network with my insurance company Amenities. I gave them my information and received an X-Ray of my teeth. After they accessed the damage I was told what the insurance company would cover and what I would need to pay out of pocket for the treatments I would receive on 2 separate days. I made first payment for the tooth extraction on 1/9/2017. After I paid the procedure was done. I made the second payment for fillings and cleaning on 1/18/2017. After I paid the procedure was done. Before I left they maid a 3rd appointment for 2/1/2017. Once I get into the office I'm told I owe money because my insurance didn't cover some of the procedures that were done which was also my first time hearing of this. I've never had an experience like this before I might add. A practice called balance billing from what I understand. So now I'm being told I owe 171.00 because AD claims my insurance company didn't pay their end of the bill.

What I would like is for these charges to be dropped. I made out of pocket payments in confidence that all charges were met.

Aspen Dental dentures

I am requesting an immediate refund to be able to get dentures elsewhere:
24 HR post op visit was Horrible and will be writing a letter to as many people I can to get money back.
I went in today complaining I didn't have swelling and dentures didn't fit. Couple sore spots. This is my 3 visit at aspen. I was treated with such disrespect, not listening to me. Let me sit there for three hrs with tears and not one mention of calming me down. I couldn't believe they thought they were sending me out into the real world with nice temporarys which I was told in the money room I will end up with 2 sets for 7044.00 great I thought. Doctor did allow me to address my issues without his body language screaming get over it. He pulled my bottoms out with great force after a reline while my tops where out and hit them. Ouch. He did say sorry. As I had tears for this time with same tissue I finally asked to get a new one...horrible uncaring company I kept while I was there. I would say I cannot go to work..I have an important job his response everyone does...I said I am your patient not everyone. He and obviously could agree on anything and everytime he messed with denture it was worse. I told twice I wanted to speak to someone else and thank goodness a gentle soul who got it...I had my teeth extracted and had a heart to deal with me. Reline was removed from top denture due to the huge gum look...why are the teeth not made bigger to balance that? P.Banda from Augusta Maine is someone that needs to pretend to care...it's hard enough going to dentist I am traumatized and do not want this office to touch my mouth. 7044$ and I am miserable. I have before and after pictures of today. I am disappointed as I was assured I would look great. Please contact me as soon as possible. I will be going to another dentist that I went to after I was told by aspen my teeth could not be saved. She had a slight change yet I chose aspen for immediates so I could go to work. Also the doctor mentioned limbs and getting used to it yes...but my teeth are the wrong size. I didn't swell so the huge dentures they made are wrong. With the inability to say that I do not trust them. And I am positive your CEO would be pissed if he witnessed what I went through.

Hate to say it but I guess they all go to the same school. Every complaint I hear seems we all had/have similar problems. I started at one Aspen and thought I finished by the third one. I just don't understand the ignorance whether it be sympathy/empathy/knowledge or manners (I am not perfect) but have delt w/the public for years. .Hopefully I can resolve my problem promptly and be done with aspen. 3 offices 6 years Thousands $$$$ and not happy boooo Good Luck

Aspen Dental over charges for unneeded procedures

They will charge you for stuff not covered under your insurance plan and make you pay in advance to future dental procedures covered and not covered by dental insurance. Consider the complaints online as valid and pick your dentist by local reputation and not fancy signs on the front or listed as a net work provider. Remember that non network providers can be cheaper on the bottom line out the door price. Be careful.

Aspen Dental my extraction

On January 11, 2017 I went to the dentist for a fractured tooth that had been given me pain. I made sure I let the dentist know I was very nervous about the procedure. He assured me that he had gentle hands and I was in luck. Luck this man toretured me. I was told to raise my hand when I felt pain and after the first injection I was told after that I was just feeling pressure and not pain and this horrible doctor continued to pull and pull after the tooth was removed this person went back and told me he had to remove the root. At that point I thought I was going to have an attack . I just laid there listening to the cracking until it was removed. I was sent home with one pack of gauze and instructions. My prescription was 800 ibroupren. Which didn't do anything and I had several people call to ask for something stronger. I suffered from the 11 until the 18 when I finally was called back in after I wrote a complaint. On the 18th I got a stronger prescription and lots of apologize. On my way to check out I found out that dentist is no longer employed there. And you let this guy work on me with one foot already out the door.
I have never felt so insecure and toretured in my life and yes I do have rights and since I am finally getting back to normal they will be addressed.

Aspen Dental closed class action lawsuit

Hello, This is Nancy Leathers, the paralegal that worked on the class action lawsuit in 2011. I just wanted to post that the lawsuit was dismissed, appealed and dismissed again. We fought long and hard to get restitution for all the injured patients, both medically and financially, but the Court System let us down. I'm so sorry for those who lost out in anyway because of Aspen Dental.

Aspen Dental rip off

My dentures broke and I called right away to be seen and everytime I called they said they'd call me back. 3 weeks later when I'd used so much glue on my denture so I could have teeth in my mouth I finally got in to talk to someone only to be told that they couldn't repair them (150.00) because of all the glue and now I needed an new set of dentures (950.00). These dentures are only a yr old and made by aspen dental. I was told that they see these breaks all the time and I could of had another procedure to prevent the break but was never offered it at the time. Rip off?

Aspen Dental charged for services without providing any services.

I needed to have a second opinion about my dental work. I went to Aspen dental in their Central Ave., Albany, NY office. I was supposed to get a free consultation for the second opinion but later not only I got charged but they contacted a collection agency to get $128.00 for not providing any services. During that session, I provided X-ray from my first dentist and the so-called Aspen dentist tried to scare me by saying that I'll have no teeth left and need thousands of dollar of dental work! That dentist was not only inappropriate but really unethical. Dental Board of NYS should investigate this people.

Aspen Dental cleaning only

Set appointment to have teeth cleaned. They gave me a free appointment to have x-rays. No cavities and overall good health and gums. Dentist said we really can't sell you a lot of care...a cleaning is all that is required. Please take a seat and the office manager will talk to you and schedule your cleaning. Office manager said my cleaning will be $1700! I got loud and she said I can give you a discount.. to $1500. I said that was outrageous and I am not going to pay that much. She kept completing the documentation and said you need to sign here. I read and said no! She said it does mean anything and we can work out a payment plan. I said it is too high, not that I don't have the money. I left while everyone was looking at me because everyone heard my comments. 2 hours later when I got home she calls me and says the dentist and I have decided to discount the cleaning to $800.00. The story only gets worse from here an I hope you get the jest of my experience. The location of the office is in Tampa, Florida on N. Dale Mabry Highway.

Aspen Dental age discrimination

9/13/16
so i called aspen dental and was looking to spend my well earned money at this business. I am 20 about 2 months from 21 and i asked about partials and fillings and got my prices. Then this lady went on to say if i'm 21 i get a free 1st consultation and x-ray's and i told the lady i'm 2 months from being 21. So because i'm not 21 she had to consult her manager to come up with a price which would be $80 just for the 1st consultation. I told the lady if i sent in my x'rays in from about 2 weeks previously if i would still have to pay for this 1st consult and she said yes. I have to pay $80 because i am 2 months from 21 vs. being 21 and getting free, that right there is robbing u blind this is age discrimination considering i have $4000 to spend on my mouth right now ! over this $80 i told this lady i will bring my business elsewhere i am fed up! I don't understand how they get away with this bull crap. And why is it an $80 fee under 21 so they can take your parents money ?

Aspen Dental consumer fraud / I danger patient.

Called to schedule emergency apt. I was promised since I was so ill and in such pain as well as vomiting I would be given antibiotics as well as help with the pain until we could figure out what needed to be done. ( which was likely a wisdom tooth extraction. I got to apt. In dire need of help, sick, in excruciating pain, and sleep deprived.. I got a panoramic view of X- rays that I cried through. The Tec said she could see why I was in pain. The seeing the Dr he said I went from having beautiful teeth to needing likely all my molars removed and multiple root canals. I explained I had severe bike reflux disease. I was told he never heard of? Ok? Then asked how many teeth did I wanna keep. A hysterical, sick and sleep deprived patient as myself wanted to obviously as many as I could as I'd again always has beautiful teeth. He then said root canals and extraction on several teeth and bridges built.. I explained I was very overwhelmed as I sobbed in horror of the news. Then I said ok do I need antibiotics ? And what should I do with this emense pain until I can figure out what to do? He says no. I can take an aspirin. ? AN ASPERIN? Seriously.. You insusted I come in knowing my situation and that you didn't even take my secondary insurance. All he would talk about is how I could get care credit and or payment plans and it would be thousands for wha u need done? And further pushed the ways to make financial gain! I was lead in under false pretense. And left worse off. And denied my X- rays to boot!

Aspen Dental dentures

my name is n duan knapp. I had called a two months ago. Your office stated that i could only complain on last treating doctor. Today i find and advise that my situation should go through your panel. Dr.M dickerson with aspen dental. I have tried obtaining my medical records with a certified signature mail. No prevail. I have written letters to request records and guarantee refund on my dentures. No prevail. I have tried to civilly work this out. Why must a consumer or patient have to go through this ordeal. My dentures(second set) lower are cut to short. Bite is off. Biting sides of cheek. Not able to eat, lower dentures flip flop. My gums have blisters. To insert dentures are painful. Actually misery, i leave out more than i wear. Not one dentist will see me without medical records to proceed work on these dentures. Unless i start out brand new with purchasing a new set of dentures. I hurt painfully as each day goes bye. This has turn out to be a total mess! please help me. I just want my records and refund back. I was seen only two weeks out on the permanent pair of dentures. The first set, i had to go visit the dentist numerous times, just to get lining correct. Please help! just trying to fix the problems.

This is insane to allow any medical practice to discharge a patient without follow up care and why was i discharged. They state an altercation?! never any doctor have i had altercation's. They would not even send me a letter why. Dr raffoul screamed at me on the phone and hung up. Told me to never come back to his office and i would not receive a return. Insane. No doctor with this abrupt attitude should be practicing. Putting all patients in harms way! no patient should be treated this way or remotely under the care of a doctor or practice, that just removed all your teeth! this was a huge ordeal. I just fought cancer for 9 years. Never was i treated this ill. Even the chemotherapy and radiation was wicked. Never was i treated this way!
again i have been patient and self taking care of the pain in my mouth. This will not go away. Until i am able to seek again a new dentist to take care of me. I am sorry, i do not have a million dollars to resolve this monetary issue. Ethically, aspen dental did not uphold the guarantee or my care! my gums hurt. I just want to be normal as can be again. Eat and not have sore blister gums everyday and bleeding cheeks from the off bite of these dentures. When i speak or try to eat. My cheeks begin to bleed. My gums are scaring me. That there is infection and will go into my jawbones? then what happens? i lose all continuity to my jawbones? please help me. I am in despair. Can not believe this even happened. My family, employer and friends all stated i should seek out legal help when this started. I am trying to resolve this civilly so i can obtain relief and get back with my life. Omg! no one told me this was going to happen. But it did. I care. Do you?
thank you!
please help me!

My name is Deborah Ashworth, I went to Aspen Dental in Washington Mo on 02/12/2016 and paid in full a price of dentures in the amount of 1508.00. I already had previous top dentures which were 25 years old. I had 8 teeth on the bottom that needed pulled that were really bad. I had them do an immediate so I didn't have to go to work with no teeth. They did the impressions and told me the bottom teeth would be temporaries, for about 4 months until the swelling went down then they would make my permanent dentures. I called them on June the 7th and was told I would not be getting anymore teeth made, this is after 4 trips in there because the bottom teeth were hurting so bad they sanded and filed them put liner in them nothing worked. I can't close my mouth right because the teeth don't match up, there's a gap in between my teeth, I can't eat without taking them out and if I try they pop out, there is no teeth on the bottom back plate it's just plastic, there's a flap that sticks out that everyone can see, I've lost 22 pounds because of this. I have to drink protein shakes to get nutrition. I don't wanna live the rest of my life this way. Please help me. They lied to me and in front of my daughter, who went with me on all these visits and told me multiple times that everything would be better as soon as I got my permanent dentures. I am a single mom and I saved every penny to get these teeth and now i am out the money and my teeth.

Aspen Dental teeth fillings

I went to have fillings done on Friday may 13th 2016 at the aspen dental office of Morristown! I was told these were the last ones to be done! After numbing I waited for at least 15 minutes or longer before they came back to start. This is all on my top front teeth! The dentist put wedges in between my teeth and done the work! I couldn't feel anything anything and assumed everything was great! But when I got to my job I had a lot of sensitivity and looked and seen that 2 of the teeth he worked on had chipped looked exactly like the little wedges he put between my teeth! I called immediately and got an appointment for May 16th but I got called into to work and they didn't call me to remind me like they normally do so I called explained it to them then I was put on hold where a woman named Kate talked to me! I explained to her what had happened and pretty much she said I was wrong and that he would have told me if he had chipped my teeth! Before my appointment I could floss all my teeth and had no pain but now I can't floss or do anything! Said I couldn't be seen until 3 weeks later while I have chipped teeth and in pain! Very mad and want my teeth fixed! I scheduled to see another dentist in my home town and go may 19, 2016! I hope that we can work something out cause I have literally paid aspen so much money and all u want is my teeth fixed

Aspen Dental customer care

I called the office in Tarentum, PA to have a copy of my X-rays printed. When I arrived at the office not only were my X-rays not printed, they refused to print them because they said it would take too much time, even though there was enough time to print the copies before closing. I told them I had an appointment after they had referred me to see a specialist. They told me I had to come back on Monday morning even though I repeatedly told them my appointment was for that day. The woman at the front counter was nasty and not helpful at all, and I am very unhappy with their services.

Aspen Dental dental work, dentures and personnel

I went to Aspen Dental to get a new partial and was told I needed to get all my teeth pulled and get upper and lower dentures. I followed the advise of the dentist and allowed the dentist to remove my teeth and got a temporary denture. I had to make multiple trips back to the dentist and was never satisfied with my temporary dentures. I never saw the dentist again after she pulled all my teeth. The assistants who I did see were not competent and could not resolve my complaints. The dentures I received never fit and they are not straight. I do not believe that all my teeth should have been pulled. I never had a problem with the partials I previously had. I believe the dentist wanted to make the maximum amount of money she could from me. I think she was more interested in making the most money she could and was not worried about my best interest.

Aspen Dental cleaning appointment

I scheduled an appointment with Aspen dental in lady lake six months ago for my six month. I have received a few cleanings their but it has been difficult to get 2 in per year.I feel it is important for healthy teeth to keep them on 2 per year cleanings. I received an email to confirm my april 28, 2pm appointment, then I received a phone call to confirm my april 28, 2pm appt on april 26 i was left a phone message that they would need to reschedule as 2pm was the office lunch hour
I returned the call and they informed me that they earliest they could get me in for a cleaning was Dec 5. at 2pm ( do you believe that) What I said, this is too far off to keep with good dental hygiene. So sorry they said that is the best they could do, )even though it was their error. we can add you to our wait list theysaid, i ask how long is the list she said well over 2 full pages YIKES. I suggested maybe they have a list just for patients that have been rescheduled due to ASPEN'S error or fault, her response, we can't due that mam that wouldn't be fair! Seriouslu, this is a very unorganized dental office, I'll find someone who wants payment for an easy 30-45 minute routine cleaning

Aspen Dental dental services

I will never do business with Aspen Dental. "Jason" the office guy is the most incompetent person I have ever dealt with. The dentist Dr. Park did nothing to make me feel confident in this establishment. I was given a dental plan that was $4, 000. I was told by "Jason" that my insurance wouldn't authorize the extractions for 6 months, and that I would have to break the work up into 2 visits 6 months apart. The first visit didn't include the filling I needed (which is the reason I called them in the first place). He said they would do it on the second visit. Because the dentist would want to do the extractions and fillings together. So now "Jason" knows more about what I need than the dentist? And now I'm supposed to wait 6 months to have a cavity fixed? On top of that I was given an invoice for the first of 2 visits of $1297 for extensive cleaning with my insurance covering $225. The patient responsibility was $1072. I asked "Jason" what percent my insurance covered and he replied 70%. I looked at him and said $225 is not 70% of $1297. He said he would have to call "IT" and see if there was an error. What does "IT" have to do with dental work? Right then I knew that this place was a bunch of scam artists trying to milk unsuspecting people from money they didn't need to spend. I cancelled my appointment and contacted Northeast Delta Dental (my insurance provider) and they verified that they would have paid 70% of the $1297.00 for the advanced cleaning. They recommended I contact the NH insurance commission to file a complaint, which I will do. I am sure they will be interested to see the invoice I was provided. I am also going to contact the ADA. I will also make sure everyone I know never sets foot in that awful excuse for a dental practice!
