Asda Stores - never use asda home delivery

ASDA HOME DELIVERY is the worst in the UK. I have been a frequent buyer of ASDA a over 2 years now. At the beginning its fine, but recently deliveries are tending to be LATE and even DISAPPEARED. Yesterday night was a nightmare, I ordered the slot 8-10 pm and was waiting for some food to cook my dinner at home, but no on e knock on the door till midnight...

Asda Stores poor service

Whilst trying to redeem one of Asda gift cards at the Team Valley Retail Park Asda Living Store at Gateshead I was made to feel like a criminal by the assistant. The card kept coming up invalid and I have to say its not the first one I have had bother with. As it was a gift I couldn't produce the receipt and was told in no uncertain terms that keying in the card number was not allowed although I had used it previously and the number was keyed in and the balance accessed. The assistants attitude was not good. I still have £8 left on the card so looks like I will lose that the same as the balance from one I received this time last year as not prepared to be treat like that for the sake of such a small amount.

I was in the alloa store today and was waiting at customer services to buy lottery. One colleague was on the telephone whilst there was section leader named Debbie standing doing nothing, not even trying to help. I waited in the queue for 10 minutes then left as the service was non existent. The person standing at the desk could have done something to help. I will think twice about shopping with them again

Asda Stores human excrement at the entrance

Unable to shop in ASDA at 10am this morning, due to the human excrement on the path. If these Addicts can't be hygienic sleeping in the car park overnight, then they will have to be moved on. I hope that a visually-impaired person didn't have a fall, or anybody else. It is only a matter of time before someone comes to harm. The Addicts have made shopping at the store utterly unsafe. Action needs to be taken immediately.

Asda Stores online grocery shopping

I placed an order for delivery by Asda to be delivered on Saturday 7th February. I chose the 3-5pm slot, I received an email to give me a delivery window of 4-5pm. My shopping arrived about 5:05pm (no issue with few mins late). However when unpacking my shopping, quite a lot of my items were missing (approx £40 worth). I immediately contacted Asda who assured me the Sunderland store manager Karl would contact me to rearrange delivery of my missing items. Here I am after 14 phone calls from Saturday to Monday 9th February and still not one single call from the manager or store to let me know what the hells going on with my shopping. My last conversation with the contact centre (which seems to be manned by foreign people who are difficult to understand or hear) I demand collection of the delivered shopping and want a full refund. They tell me yet again the manager will be in touch to discuss the matter and apologise for poor customer service time and time again. I have been given a time of 10am Tuesday 10th February to have this matter dealt with by the manager. Believe me, if it is not I will personally deliver my shopping back to the store and demand the manager come speak to me face to face and tell me how the hell he was given a managers job in the first place. I will never ever use Asda again and will make sure I tell anyone and everyone possible to avoid them also. Their customer service skills are a big fat zero.

Asda Stores Autistic son made to wait deliberately!

My Autistic son was made to wait for a very long time at ASDA Opticians at Stowmarket, Suffolk todaythat is 7/02/2015. The lady who checked him and the staff were very casual and did not seem to care about his needs. I especially had problem with the dispensing optician(Peter Cooke) who really got us waiting for a long time, he was talking all topics starting from weather to world news to the previous customer. We tried to explain that my son is on spectrum and hurried him to dispense the prescription written by his staff, he clearly got upset and said we wouldn't receive the pair of glasses for 15 days! My son had broken pair of glasses and would be blind without glasses! Initially we we got the appointment fixed on phone, we were told it wouldn't be more than 7 days and if they marked it urgent it wouldn't be more than 3 to 4 days. When we hurried him up he seemed suddenly upset and also took a long time to fill in the prescription details deliberately. If he had handed over the prescription earlier we could have gone next door for spec saver for the glasses and wouldn't need to wait for 15 days!
My Autistic son got very anxious with the wait and the arguments! Now a days people are so knowledgeable with the children on spectrum! as you can appreciate they don't like waits which causes them anxiety, he was very upset until he went to bed! All his colleagues seemed to support him and he just did not care when we told him that we were unhappy! In fact when I discussed this with one of his colleagues she simply smiled and said "Oh Peter is just a little bit crisp today" she said jokingly! My son was just anxious and was well behaved today otherwise if he waited for longer he would have thrown a piece of furniture against someone in the room!. We are glad that it just ended with anxiety! I cant believe how insensitive people can be! I am very unhappy with ASDA Opticians for this and would appreciate a feed back on this. Why is that their staff are so insensitive to Autistic children? Peter Cooke was very rude to us! he did not seem to care and told us he will not budge and we wouldn't get the glasses for 15 days and doesn't care if I would not walk through the ASDA door for spectacles next time!
I moved to Haverhill few months ago and have travelled an hour from Haverhill back to them at Stowmarket because the previous dispensing Optician was very caring and gently to my son. I have bought my spectacles with them too! Obviously current experience has changed my opinion towards them and would probably look at custom elsewhere where there is understanding and sensitivity to Special needs of my child but I would appreciate their feedback on this.

Asda Stores they owe me compensation

My wifes car was damaged by an asda employee, the repairs have been carried out but i want compensation for all the stress this caused. We were left to do everything ourselves, i emailed the customer services who told me to put it in writing, so i did. I do not understand why they could not accept an email. So i put it in writing, thinking that this would be ignored, which it has. Can you help me as they just ignore me.

At the moment you do not know if this was something that was done on purpose. Someone elses shopping could have got mixed up with yours (on the belt) or something that was next to the till could have been accidentally scanned. I am sure if you go to the customer service desk they will refund it for you.

Asda Stores terrible experience with asda service

I tend to shop at Asda online, the last two experiences I’ve had have left me to totally lose hope in shopping with Asda ever again.

Ordered for 13th Oct online. Had booked 8-10pm slot (was a Monday). Order did not arrive.

I waited till 10.30pm that day and tried contacting the customer services but they were closed by then. So rang them next morning to find out why my order had not arrived as there was urgent stuff for my 3 month old, which I was relying on Asda to deliver as I was out of supplies and was unable to leave the house to shop. I was told a complete lie that the delivery man had tried ringing my mobile but couldn’t get through so my order was cancelled. I argued that that wasn’t the case as I’d received no such call and I’m ready to provide statement from my mobile network provider to prove this. No one buzzed on my door that day and I was eagerly waiting for this order so this definitely wasn’t the case. I spoke with someone from the Hounslow store regarding this and I was told that Gemma would ring me as this was pretty serious. I received no such call. I rang customer services several times to chase and was told the same thing to wait to receive call from Hounslow Asda store. Till date I’ve received no call from Gemma. I had great difficulty managing the products, which I was relying on Asda to deliver as it was pretty last minute.

After this disastrous experience, I still had hopes and felt that my experience would have been an exception.
Ordered again for 26th Oct online. Again 8-10pm slot on a monday. ORDER DID NOT ARRIVE!

I have no words to express my agony and feel really stupid for trusting Asda again. Asda should stop putting out on their site that they take customer service seriously. They HAVEN’T on two occasions. Had they looked into my previous complaint, the delivery man wouldn’t have conveniently cancelled my order again. (I’m guessing it’s the same delivery person as on both occasions it happened to be a Monday 8-10). I demand an explanation from Asda and would like to know if they really care about customer service and is anyone really going to look into this seriously this time?!

As the phone customer service didn’t help me much last time, they were directing me to the store and the store didn’t care so I want to put this out in all possible Asda complain forums so somebody can atleast get back to me.

Asda Stores overcharged on bill

I went shoppng to asda greenhithe on 17 / 10 / 2014 and decided to buy some muller fruit yogurt. The yogurt was on offer 10 pots for ten pounds. I purchased 20 pots of the above mentioned. When i got home i checked my receipt to see if the ofer was applied, but i was disappointed to find out that not the correct amount of money was taken off the bill. Instead having to pay eight pounds i was charged 2. 40 pounds over of what i had to pay. I rung the store straight away to be told to go back to the store to get the bill sorted. I did expain that i live in essex and it is not worth going back to kent for such a small amount of money owed, and if there was another way of sorting the issue. I was explaned that there is no other way of doing it. So i went back to the store the next day to get my two pounds forty refund. I would like to exress anger and disappointment in the customer service given at asda greenhithe. I was not offered compensation whatsoever for the inconvenience caused neither for the lost time and money for driving back 7 miles to get the issue resolved. This is why i am writing this complain so other customers are aware of this quite a regular practice at asda, not to apply the correct money off at the end of the bill. This is my third time having to deal with the same problem. I expect that this letter will be read, by the cutomer service department of asda and approprite action taken to resolve this issue of happening again in the future in any of their stores.

Asda Stores contaminated fruit

Bought 2 pack of Nectarines from the Washington Asda branch, put them in to fridge to keep them fresh longer. Got one out the day before to let it soften a bit. My daughter made me a fruit pot, which I ate. I thought the nectarine tasted funny. It didn't taste like a nectarine, it was not very nice at all. But I did eat it, thinking nothing of it. 2hrs later I was violently ill. I continued to be sick for the next 6hrs. My head was burning and I could feel the sweat pouring out of me. I was very concern so I phoned NHS as my Daughter had went online to see if there was any problems reported about the Nectarine. Online my daughter found an article about fruit that had been recalled for potential Listeria Monoctogenes Contamination by Wegmans, (Sweet 2 eat and Harvest Sweet brands) This recall is dated for the 21 of July 14 and was recalled by CFIA. I wanted to bring this to your attention as it can be fatal for people who are not of good health. I would like to know if your stock has been contaminated by this bacteria and if any of your other customers have complaint. I have kept the Nectarine and put into a food bag and frozen it so that if needs be it can be tested, I also have the remaining nectarines.

regards

Mrs Susan Walker

Asda Stores delivery didnt come

Ok so last week i placed a shopping/food order with asda for thursday between 8pm and 10pm it did not show up..i called asda at 10.20pm to be told they couldnt tell me anything as they couldnt get computer to work i was told to log onto my account and see what status of delivery was so i did and i told her it said on its way (i had email saying that also) so she told me to wait til 11pm cos it may be late. So after 11.30pm no sign i called again to be told they are closed! So i called friday morning to be told there was a tech issue and order never left the store! They told me it had been cancelled by them and i needed to start again re-order some food shopping book another slot etc i said no way they had already frozen the payment out of my bank so i couldnt anyway! I rang the bank to get a code so asda could release my money back to me i was told they could reverse payment as pending instead so waited but no money came back into my account within 24hrs like i had been told! I called bank back and was told they were not able to give me reversal as asda had now taken the payment! I called asda back was told they hadnt the screen says no but the bank are adamant it had been payed! So saturday im told by asda manager to wait til monday as accounts are closed til then so i did reluctantly after calling back again and being told a manager would call me to tell me my options (they never called) monday i called them (today) to be told again that no money has been taken it is now on my bank statement that the payment has gone to asda so it has 100% i am told its not possible for the payment to be gone as their system says it hasnt! I am crying saying my kids were meant to go beach friday but couldnt as no food to take so had to tell friend we couldnt go then saturday were meant to go on family day out had to cancel as money wasnt back! I am mentally ill and cant cope with all this im a single mum with very low income and to just take my money and say otherwise is shocking! So spoke to store manager was told they can offer me refund but will take 5 days to go in?! I said no i need it today! Cant say my kids cant go anywhere all week now either?! So i spoke to another manager at asda to be told the delivery was signed for but no date or time its saying they delivered it! The whole thing is a mess i tried calling head office but end up put through to same people! I need my money back i dont want the £15 e voucher they have put on my account this has ruined a whole week of the summer holidays not to mention affected my anxiety and depression badly! I had to spend money getting 4 buses to supermarket to get food saturday! I wont be wanting to shop with asda online groceries ever again! They told me i could go 25 miles and collect shopping from store (not local to me) but obviously not an option on bus with 2 young kids! I just dont know what to do about this nightmare im being called a liar they have not just frozen the money they have cleared it taken more than the shopping was too so overcharged me?! This is terrible i need some advice and not sure what i do now? I have now been told they can see i have been charged for shopping that wasnt delivered due to driver being off sick?! I got no call to explain that they were not coming they now say they are sorry for not calling me and they dont know why i have been charge, over charged and basically stressed out this way so im waiting for yet another call back while they call the store to find out why i have been over charged but they say manager isnt available so have to wait longer! i just need to know they wont get away with this! I am now in debt i had to borrow for gas and electric as i had to use that money for food i have no family here i feel so upset im crying all day since friday! The kids are suffering in a big way also their holidays are being ruined! I have records of the many calls i havent mentioned here as i feel its too much info but i have been messed around loads since thursday over their mistake!

Asda Stores never get food delivered

i did a home grocery shop from asda, when the delivery came the more than half of my shopping was missing, the driver relised he accidently gave my shopping to the previous person he delivered to, he said he will go back to the store and sort it out, i never heard from him again, so i called the store and explained what had happened, the lady on the phone said i will refund you for what you never received, but i did not want this, i wanted my shopping so she said i will get it resent to you, but i still never received it, so a day or two later i called again, and had to explain all over again, and i was told asda tried calling me several times to deliver my goods, which was a complete lie as i carry my phone with me all the time, then she said i will get someone to call you straight back and sort it out, but of course no one called, so i had to call again, after being about 1 hour on the phone that time, i was still getting no where so i asked for my money back, my whole experience was unbarable and i will not do it again, every time i called to sort it out i got a foreigner operator which i couldnt understand thats why everything took so long to work out, all i can say to every one is dont do it, its just to stressful,

I had similar experience. 13 items they said were substituted but weren't. I never received the substituted items, told the driver who just said to ring up. I did that and they refunded me £4 instead of £27 that was missing from my order!

Asda Stores Food and service

Today I visited the Asda store at the beach boulevard retail park in Aberdeen Scotland. I was absolutely appalled. First off when entering the cafÈ in store there was not one clean table all tables had empty dirty plates and cups scattered across them, so I chose a table with less items on it and cleaned it myself, Next I went to the counter to order some food, there were no menus no staff in sight and no food except for some dried up chips a pot of curry and some nasty looking beans with a dry skin on top. Standing for about ten minuets before being asked what we would like.. Finally someone served us, we asked for macaroni was told it will take ten minuets for that so we said ok and requested fresh chips also, to which the male server said oh these are fine they came out of the fryer 30 minuets ago try one. I replied no I would rather have fresh chips please so that was fine we got fresh chips. So we paid for our meals which consisted of large macaroni, small macaroni and a pie and chips, cup of milk and juice and one black coffee our total was £13.05. When the macaroni arrived 20 MINUETS later it was cold runny and not heated properly. By the look and taste of the macaroni it was out of a tin. Everyone has tried that stuff and knows the taste, well it was awful, My dads pie seemed good so I approached the server female this time and explained that this was not suitable for eating and definitely not worth £4.00 and asked it to be replaced with a pie and chips instead. To which I was told no we cant re sell this as there is a fork in it, fair enough but don't tell me I cant have my pie and chips. For the manager then to be called over, who handled the situation well and got me my pie and chips charged at a price of £1.90 which was fine, I did not expect to have to pay for this but by the time we had wasted trying to get food in the first place I couldn't be bothered to argue my point.

I have worked in the catering industry for 9 years now and never ever have I saw customer service as appalling as it was in this store. I am also a pregnant woman and I had a disabled woman with me. We should not be having to do their job and clean our own table.

Will never use this store again due to the rude and ignorant staff.

Asda Stores Added water to meat product

On Saturday 3rd May we purchased a small top side of beef joint approx 4lbs from ASDA Morley, Leeds. On cooking this meat the amount of added water was in such volume that there was 1/2 inch of water in the roasting tin during the cooking process. The water, all from the meat, had the effect of 'boiling' the vegetables added for roasting with the meat and ruining them. I might add that this was fresh meat, not frozen. I have never experienced added water in beef before and it is utterly unacceptable.

Asda Stores Staff

I went into Asda after work on sat night around 9:45pm, I got let I'm by security standing by the door, i only went in to get a little girls bday card, and a top for a present because my son had a party befor it opened in the morning, well the same time as they opened. It is a 24 hour asda well that's what it says and I haven't seen it specified that it shuts early apart from a sunday of course. Well anyway I went into store I'd picked up the card and went to go grab a top quickly when I had 2 staff come up.to me saying I had to go and pay, I did mention i only wanted to grab a top and I'd be gone and because she huffed at me I rushed I ended up picking the wrong size. I payed at the till and left, but this is what annoyed me, when I was walking out the security man was still letting people in to store with trollys. So why rush me out to paying, use this store for my food shop all the time but I'm very disappointed this time with how I was treated, it might sound petty but they was still letting people in so made no sense at all. I wish I had just give her the card and gone elsewhere.

Asda Stores false advertising and general rudeness of staff

in general i went into asda to day to purchase gifts for xmas, they advertise 3 cds /dvds for £20.00, selected range. so i picked 3 two cds and 1 dvd from the specially labelled shelves for this offer. but when i got to the till the cashier did not honour this i was charged the full £30.00. When i queried this amount the cashier was dispondant and sent me to the customer service desk. Again after telling customer service clerk my disagreement, he started to talk down to me like i was an idiot, telling me that the products i had picked up was not on that deal, and refused to have them checked, i spend on average over £100 aweek at this store but not now my familes and i shall boycott this store and warn other potential victims of your scam, this is unsatisfactory behaviour on all levels, so far i have spoken to and met with 20 odd people who feel they have been ripped off by colchester asda stores bogus promotions and were met by rudeness of staff and security

Asda Stores Older tyre mixed in with set of 4

Recently ordered 4 new Dunlop Sport tyres from Asda Tyres. Competitively priced and the online process was intuitive and straightforward. Fitting was arranged with a local tyre fitting garage about a week later. Tyres fitted within 1/2 hour. However, I immediately noticed that one of the rear tyres looked different - milky powdery coating. When I checked the age of this tyre (month + year) it turned out to be almost 3 years old. The other 3 tyres were 7 months old.
I complained to Asda Tyres but was told that they reserve the right to sell "new" tyres that can be up to 3 years old. Nowhere does that say this on their website. They did acknowledge that this should probably be spelt out on their website.
On the Continent, some tyre testing organisations recommend changing tyres after 6 years - no matter what the remaining tread.
I am therefore disappointed with Asda's approach. Despite the competitive price, I would not recommend their product/service.

Travelled all the way from Belgium to purchase Christmas goodies on 14 December. Could not believe it when I was advised by the salesperson that turkeys would not arrive in store until the following week! Unbelievable ASDA. Spent nearly £400 with you too - you were even out of small turkey breast joints - and there wasn't anything suitable for 2 people.
