Ascentive Rip off

I looked at the Ascentive product and decided not to try it. It said that I could get a free test scan of my computer. Supposedly the scan was made and almost 200 errors were found. Thats when I discovered that they were not going to fix anything unless I purchased their product so I decided not to buy. Now I can't get their crap off my computer. I did a search and found their program on my C drive but when I tried to delete it I was blocked and their screens keep popping up and are very annoying.

I purchased SpeedScan and after I installed it, my system was actually slower. There reply was I need to buy there other sotware's to clean entire system. After spending almost $50 on the first one that did not do what it claimed, I decided to cut my losses and opt out. I emailed for a refund, I received no reply. I tried to uninstall what I had and ran into more problems trying to get it off my system.
After much frustration, my system crashing daily, everything getting slower and slower by the hour. My only option I could find was, I reformatted my entire hard drive and started over. My system is now running fine.

My child age 11 ordered these things and I don't think this is right so PLEASE refund my money witch was wrongly taken.

I purchased Ascentive Speedscan and am totally dissatisfied and disgusted. My computer is slower now than it has ever been and I am having a lot of trouble with the screen "freezing". When it's not frozen, I get constant pop ups from Ascentive which interrupt and disrupt whatever I am trying to do. They can keep the money if they will tell me how to get them off my computer!

This spam letter is what I have against Ascentive..whether it works or not.. this is just WRONG for a real software company to engage in.

No doubt Adam Schran of Acentive.com has been working on earning another million from Novices out there!

My advice is Invest in a image tool and format and re-install. Now your computer will be FinallyFast! Next install all of your applications, then image again! Your computer will now be FastAtLast!

If you want your computer to run slow and some malware to go along with it, then you will need to visit http://www.ascentive.com. They have plenty of products there that will make your computer slow then sell you another to make it faster.

I too am unable to uninstall their crap from my laptop. I am told this is a spyware program and the only way is to back up what ya want then completely strip the PC and start over. I surely learned a lesson on this one.

All you need is Norton Security Suite. I have this on three computers and all of them are lightning fast.
Comcast gives this program for free.

Ascentive Outright ###

In Australia this company would be taken to court for false advertising. 'Down Under' we simply describe Ascentive Software as full of ###.

Surely there is some form of restriction that can remove these crooks from the web, and protect innocent people?

Having removed everything pertaining to this suspect company from my computer, I am now receiving unwanted email, expounding how 'brilliant we are'.

Try and unsubscribe from these ###s and you will experience 'error' all the time.

Apart from the ### they peddle on the web, the persons responsible should be in jail.

What a joke!

these people are so right to complain. They charged me twice for the same service. one time for 34.90 and another time for 29.95. Ya! I would say they R a ripoff

Can anyone tell me what I need to do to delete this fraudulent companys software off my computer. I have tried to run the normal Add/Delete program and that didn't work.

Agree, Ascentive LLC is really fraud company, they are crooked businessmen. I don't know how this kind of business survive!I purchased the software, downloaded and as most of the users experienced, the sfotware did basically nothing. I regretted my decision to purchase and moved on. One year later they charged the renewal. When I put dispute with my credit card company, Ascentive proved that when I purchased the software, I signed up for Auto Renewal, Which is [censor].
