This company is a SCAM. There are NO full-time, year-round 'jobs' with this company - everything is seasonal and part-time. They LIE and STEAL. They will terminate you for no reason. When you ask questions, they ignore you. They expect, rather DEMAND, their ACPs to be professional, but they do not give back the same professionalism. Arise has big name companies that are scamming everyday people wanting to try to make ends meet.
Below are the companies that Arise helps rob people of their money:
AAA Arizona
AAA Mid-Atlantic
AAA MSC
AAA New York
AAA North Jersey
ACG
ACS
AIG
AIG-AA
Apple
Apple Care
Barnes and Noble
Carnival Cruise Lines
Circuit City
CSAA
Disney
Encore
Exelon
GSI
Interval International
Jewelry TV
MAG-CS
NJAC
SafeGuard
Sears
Staples
Verizon Avenue
Virgin America
Virgin Atlantic

nekki, arise is a scam because they lie to you and steal your money. they want you to pay for training - you do not get paid while training. when was the last time you paid a company to work for them?

@Monica C - READ THE POSTS! YOU WILL BE ROBBED FROM ARISE!
@[protected] - If Arise is such a great company, then explain to me why I was terminated when I met ALL of the SOW requirements (hours, talk time, passed all qa's, never received any customer complaints, etc.). NOTE: You are the idiot! You are tied to your home office and when working from home for Arise you cannot be outside playing with your children or pets, or taking care of yardwork or household chores. Me on the other hand, I am self-employed with a real career. I am not tied to my home office waiting for the phone to ring - what that means is I can be outside gardening or playing with my kids and pets. I can also be grocery shopping while I am working. My clients expect me to have a life and are ok when they hear kids in the background or dogs barking. I set my own hours, I do not pay bi-weekly fees just to earn a paycheck and I am making more money than you will ever earn working for Arise.

I am currently an Arise VSC working for the Rogers Communications client. All I can say is RUN, RUN as fast asyou can! This company rides the line with regards to breaking the laws. There are SO MANY people desperate for work that they keep this scummy company in business. Most people have ABSOLUTELY no idea wha true business ownership is all about, including the few postive posters here who are either Arise trolls, or people who've never owned and operated a company before. To them, this is how businesses operate...it shows their lack of exprience. The "busiess model" they present to you is a bait and switch. I'm biding my time until my freelance business picks up and them IM OUT OF HERE! 700 people graduated from my "super class" we were all GROSSLEY under trained, ingnored, some of us not payed, and much more. EVERY SINGLE PAY PERIOD we are shorted money becuse their systemsdo not accurately keep track of hours worked. YOU DO NOT GET PAID while trying to log backinto systems that boot you out REPEATEDLY... I have spent 23 of a 30 minute shift trying to log back into their systems. There are les than a hundred of us left, people quit by the DOZENS within the first week. I noticed the trolls aren't mentioning that. They also don't mention the NON EXISTANT support, the fact that the systems are down more than up and even when it is GLOBAL the "tech" support people have no clue and will sit there on the other end of the computer and insist it isn't the 5 chts at a total stand stll with CONTINGENCY messages running in red and tech support says it isn't an issue. Karma will catch up with this bunch of crooks, there is currently a federal investigation against them for labor law violations... and, I was also told, but have not confirmed that the Florida Department of Law Enforcemnt (FDLE) is invetigation corporate heads for fraud and other criminal violations. Doesn't matter what the trolls say.. the fact of the matter is, Arise will sell you the sun and once your fees are paid... you're at their mercy. My advie? DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY and if you do, STAY AWAY FROM THE ROGERS OPP!

There is a blog about this company by current and EX VSC ad ACP's I think i is called Voices of Arise. You ca probably find it by Googling.

For ppl who have never even worked at Arise, if you want to keep spreading negative rumours and speculation with no proven facts to back them up, then thats ok with me! Because my husband gets paid per call. So, the less people who want to work there, the more calls he gets. More $$ for me. Go work somewhere else!

I get the idea that those who are praising Arise - actually work in their corporate structure? I am suspicious of these praisers of Arise that tell the people who have had bad experiences with them (there seems to be a lot of those) that they didn't read the requirements carefully enough, or their performance was sub par. Seriously? What about some of those that have worked for Arise for a number of years and months? I'm even more suspicious about their certification fees - this seems VERY dirty because who sets the price for the fees? Can you take that certification elsewhere and if not, what's the point of being certified? There is something seriously wrong with this company because the research that I have found has been pretty negative and some seemingly decent people have been abused by this company.

Arise is a great place to work if you are willing to work and want to get a paycheck. There is nothing wrong with it. My husband has worked for Barnes and Noble thru Arise for 2 years now. It's not the BEST job and by far and no means the worst either. The bottom line is you get what you put in. YOu pick your hours, work, you get paid. Period. There are no benefits, bonuses, or sick time. But you get PAID. And you get to work from HOME! It is NOT a rip off. My husband has stayed for 2 years and he will continue until somethhing better comes along.

Hi! I'm planning on signing up with Arise to work for Mac (Apple) I would like to hear from someone who has had experience with this. How much does it really cost in fees? Is it really worth it?

In addition, there are plenty of similar work at home opportunities that cost you nothing -- even have paid training.

What is Consumer Communications Corp? Another gouge out of your meager pay check? They set you up with Arise as an independent contractor rather than a corporaton in return for 10% of your paycheck. They pay you $100 for each person you get to sign up -- that was the part that really got me thinking. Why would they be so anxious to have more and more workers -- after all there's only so much work available -- so anxious in fact, they'll pay you to bring them in. They make money on those people that's why, and lots of it. I don't know that either CCC or Arise are a scam outright, but certainly they're in the business of taking advantage of people who are desperate for work. Not cool.

I do not understand how people can say that Arise is a scam. I have been with Arise for two years now. I was skeptical at first. But it has been the best decision I have ever made. First of all, Arise only does business to business contracting. Which means that you are not an Arise employee, you are a contractor. And with any contract, if you do not adhere to ALL aspects of the contract, the contract can be terminated. As with anything dealing with computers period, (i.e the internet, networking, software programs) there is always the occasional malfunction or system outage. As a business owner you have to take these things into consideration. Arise has been my sole source of income for about two years now. Not only has it enabled me to support myelf, but I am now in the process of hiring others to become ACP's. Once I have generated more income, then I can afford to pay for the background check and the training classes for those that I hire. It's how you run a business. There are costs and start up fees. If you are just looking for simple employment, then no, Arise is not for you. But if you are looking to own your own business with the potential to grow, and if you have maturity and ethical businesss mind to run a small business, then Arise is definitely the way to go !

I am a current Arise ACP. First you must understand Arise is not an EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY. It is a business opportunity; they CONTRACT other businesses to take calls for them. I have worked for them of years. Some clients have year round volume (mine does) others may be seasonal. Because of retail sales having high volume during the holidays and summer, they may have low volume Jan-May. It depends. I have made a comfortable living working for Arise, but I have done that by being an Undisputed Top Performer for them. Your SOW clearly states what is expected of you for your metrics, quality etc. and how you will be paid. If you’re mad because you were terminated, you should be mad at yourself for not following the SOW. Arise is an amazing company who has, transformed the way I work and live. Everyone on here that is complaining of high fees should know those fees are costs your business is investing and is deductable from your taxes which you would owe anyway since you’re a contractor. If you are crying about how they took your money and terminated you for no reason I assure you there was one and you were told. Don't discourage others from the potential of an amazing income and job. If you are NOT a self motivated entrepreneur looking to invest your time and possibly some revenue into something that is going to pay you well then don't apply. If you expect everything to be handed to you and that you are not going to have to work hard to be successful, go apply at Mc Donald’s with everyone else who doesn't want to have to think for themselves or work harder than the bare minimum to get the job done.

It becomes even more obvious that some of these people lack the basic computer knowledge necessary when you can't even spell check a document you post to the web.

Note: Those people who are publicly disclosing e-mails and communications and clients on these boards are idiots. You signed a NON DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT, you and your business could be sued by disclosing client/proprietary information publicly, i.e. client names, agreements, communications. I can tell you I started taking phone calls and after several years of hard work have moved up through the ranks and I make more now in 2 weeks than most people make in 1 month. If you put in the time, dedication, sweat, and tears, I promise you can change the way you live and work.

I have contracted with Arise for about 3 years. The first client went out of business right after Christmas. From the very beginning, there were technical issues on their end that they would not acknowledge. I have come to realize that the people who are out there to “assist” you probably have some sort of financial vested interest in the company. It is like a clique, where you can never get anywhere if you have any kind of problem. Of the many issues I submitted in the resolution center, NONE were resolved promptly, if at all. The training is way too long – especially if the class is large and the instructor has no control over meaningless banter or questions that come up because someone wasn’t paying attention. Because a rep from the client will sometimes “sit” in on the class(es), I think Arise tries to impress them by showing them they cover every little insignificant detail in training. This puts more money in the pockets of Arise because instead of a two week training class, they can offer a four week class for much more money. The content of most of the classes is a lot of bullcrap. I’ve worked for about six of these type companies and only one had a thirty day training that they paid you to attend. The quizzes and tests are often poorly written and inaccurate. The instructors even give you the answers to some of the wrong questions, but come time for the test, the wording may be so ambiguous, that even with the answer, you get the question wrong.
Because I was a member of the elite sales team at the company that went under, I was given a supposed prime opportunity for Apple sales. I got to preselect hours and then all of a sudden the sales team was forced to take overflow calls for customer service. Of course, this affected our production (metrics). Also, because there is such high pressure to produce numbers, some sales people would transfer under the pretense of being a customer service rep just to pick your brain about a product. The next thing you know, your call had been disconnected when the “customer service rep” would terminate the connection and close the sale on their end. Next, we had to take overflow calls from the UK. At certain times of the day, this could be all the calls we would handle. I asked my PF about this who informed me there would be adjustments made on the client’s end. Needless to say, this never happened and all of a sudden, I got a termination notice for not fulfilling my SOW. Upon further investigation on my part, I saw that I was missing chunks of time that amounted to over 15 hours. I had documentation – the sales record numbers – to prove that I was on the phones during one shift where it showed that I had not worked at all the entire day. I never got anywhere with the resolution center and of course; there is no one you can speak with over the phone.
I strongly believe if all of the supposed “satisfied” people on these complaint forums would add up their time with a stop watch or timer as I did, they would find out that they too are being robbed by this company too.

I went through a part of the Arise process, but once I realized how much $$ they wanted you to invest to work for them, it was RIDICULOUS. There are many other companies out there that actually pay YOU, even for the training. So thanks to all of you who gave your comments, because I think Arise is not worth it.

I signed up for AAAMSC because I am a single mother that works at night and I have to leave my teenage daughter at home alone. I started passing all the test but I have problems getting into the practice group at night. So I decided to quit my job a week before I finished AAA training. The end of the class I passed all the test and now I have to do three certification calls. I was sent an email the following day stating that I was not client qualified without any explanation. So I requested the QA form. On the QA form they failed me on one call, stating that I miss spelled the city. In my words that wasn't true, I asked the member how do you spell that city and he did, then the call spots. If the city was not spelled correctly, the call would not spot in their system called D2000. On the QA it asked “Did the ACP offer AAA products?" and the answer was YES, but at the end of the QA there was a note stating" I did not offer AAA products." That contradict the previous statement, meaning whoever was doing the QA intended to fail me anyway or they weren't paying attention to what they were doing. If they were paying attention they would have noticed the member agreed to go to an AAA approved facility. There are a lot more negative on the QA that is not true. I wrote a letter and no response. Now I need to know who the Chain of Command is for Arise. I keep in touch with previous AAAMSC classmates that inform me that they had a situation where they needed to speak to a supervisor and they were informed by the supervisor that they are not a real supervisor they just take supervisor calls. The supervisor also admitted to be a dummy supervisor. The government needs to step in because Arise is taking money for classes and failing people for no reason. My pervious classmates are also informed me that they are on the phone for hours and only get two calls. They promised to pay a $ 1.25 per call and only pay my friend $ 1.05. There is no one she can talk to about it. I predict by the end of the 30 days, they're going to fire her because they don't have any calls coming in and there is a new class coming out.

Not sure if I would call them a flat out scam, but I would question their ethics to a degree. I started going through the training and was kinda turned off by it. Nothing bad against them here, just didnt feel like a good fit for me. However, what IS bad on their end is the amount of spam they send me on a damn near daily basis. Not only to my email inbox but to my cell phone! The best part is when you try and "unsubscribe" via the link on their email you get an error from their database (and its been like this for about a month now). So I called them and the rep I talked to said he will "try" to see if he can have it removed for me. So yeah, they may not be a scam, but they are not the most ethical by any means. There is NEVER an accuse to send someone marketing email at the volume they do...and to send marketing voice mail to my cell phone on a semi daily basis? yeah, that is pretty over the top.

You have to incorporate to be a part of Arise (fees, time and paperwork). You have to pay for your background check (fees), a fee is taken out of every check (fee), you pay for your own training (fee and time) which is very expensive and nonrefundable and if you change your mind about a program, it counts against you and you are blocked from other programs (fee, time, loss opportunity). If you keep your head low and you stay out of trouble and don’t ask too many questions like, (why did I get pay $22hr with benefits for this same job in the real world and your are paying $7.50hr minus the bi-weekly fee (severely reduced pay) for the same job with NO benefits except, well you get to work from home so this novelty should satisfy you to all ends and justify whatever they want to do with you. You have to scavenger for your work hours; if you don’t show up on time when they put out the scheduled time slots you would be out of work for that week or have to constantly monitor the schedules hoping that someone lets something go(loss opportunity). When you add up the fees, time, paperwork, and loss of opportunities you might as well find another work at home company or work for McDonalds.

Arise charges for classes, then they charge a bi monthly fee of 19.95... then their systems don't support each other and their "live support" is nothing but a scam! Every time Arise has a system glitch they hold that against your metrics, unless if 30 % of acps have the same glitch they may make an exception... Each class can cost up to 250.00, then take up to 2 months of non paid training, then you may not pass the class, not only are you out your class fee you are out all the time put in and still don't make any money. Any time there is a system issue we are told to go to support, more times than not support makes it worst, 1 simple problem can take 2 days, 11 hours and 7 different support people to try and figure it out... mean time you can't work, your metrics take a hit and they don't pay for one second of that time is support! Keep in mind they can cancel your statement of work if you don't meet your metrics and the majority of the issues are with Arise and it support team... THEY ARE A JOKE! So if you are lucky and never have any system issues and show up in time you can make money but I really think you need a personal magic man to make that happen! They are getting tons of news coverage but the news media needs to see the truth... That's why I started with Arise to begin with, ABC had a segment about Arise, so I thought it must be good! :(

I have been working with Arise for over 2 years and agree with everyone that says you get what you give. If you work hard and meet all the requirements necessary you can succeed and make lots of money. If anyone was terminated, they were not meeting the requirements to get the job done. What they ask you to do FROM YOUR OWN HOME, making your own schedule, is no more than any company would ask you for. Show up on time, work when you say you are going to work, treat people that you speak with on the phone with respect and professionalism, and the training that you invest in, make sure you stick to the client's rules and regulations and you should be fine. Any company, even McDonalds ask for you to preform this way.

Being bitter and trying to taint a company that gives people opportunity to balance life from home is just one that is not willing to do the above to make it work. Like anything in life, if you work hard, results show.

I have been working for Arise f or 8 months. I really enjoy it and have told family and friends about it. My husband also just completed certification and we will have to see how it works for him. It is not a scam however the company is not perfect. The certification courses are steep and wayyyy to long. The fact that you dont get paid during training and that you have homework is a little overwhelming. I will say overall I think its worth it. I wish they would change some things like the resolution center and there communicatio with the VSC's really, really needs to be imroved. All in all when I weigh the pros and cons its worth it. Working from home gives us flexibility and freedom that is worth more than money and I'm glad to be a part of it. I hope not to experience being terminated but even if i am i'm sure i would pick up a different client. If you are wondering rather or not to trust the opportunity i would say yes, go for it. It really is not a scam, its just not a perfect company. But who is?

@slpref- Actually, I am just sick of people trashing them. They are not a scam, as evident by the years I have worked as an agent. But do not take my word for it…. Or that of the thousands of other agents currently working for them… or the word of the BBB… or the word of Good Morning America (which is how I found them).

No, take the word of a few disgruntled people as fact.

Who is the duck… er sheep again?

Have any of you ever wondered why someone with GOOD experiences and HIGH praises for a company or product would visit a web site titled Complaints Board? What would make such a satisfied customer search for a site, such as this, in the first place; let alone respond to any of the negative comments posted within?

Is it possible these "posters" may be company executives trying to quell the bad press?

Perhaps I am too cynical.

I know, let's put it to the "Duck Test." If it walks and quacks like a duck, it's a duck.

Or in this case, a SCAM.

I have worked full time through Arise for almost 3 years now and earn a decent income from it and am very happy with it. I disagree completely that it is a scam. It might not be the perfect fit for everyone, and I can't say it is always 100% perfet but it sure works for me and I"m so thankful to have it. Would HATE to have to go outside the home to work now. I am paid by the minute of talk time and have been averaging around $15 an hour, give or take a little depending on the time of year. Can't beat that for not even going out my door to work, no gas spent, no time getting ready for work or lunches out, and I'm right here at home to throw some laundry in or supper in the oven etc throughout my day.
I would say that people saying it is a scam have not experienced what the average person does there, and must have some reason for being unhappy but seem to just be angry ex employees that want to try to get back at them somehow.

I worked for Arise for about a year. I worked 2 different tech accounts. Honestly I cant say they are a fraud, but you are getting shafted. Unless you just want to make some pocket money and you already have a great PC (or MAc) high end broadband, it is not an effective business model for you. If you have an outage in the area for example, it may still be held against you. The costs of maintaining all that equipment is yours, possibly remodeling your room to avoid noise, is yours. All of these things that if you worked for a customer service would be theirs is now pushed off to you. (in fact that is why so many companies or pushing people to work at home, moving their costs to the employee). The kicker is, you would make much more working directly for the same comapanies doing the same jobs. I dont think they cheat, but it is set up for the client and ARise to make big money and leave you scraping.

You won't be able to use the training anywhere else. The trainings are client specifics. Using their applications, email, phone, chat systems. Besides, Arise also looks for people with call center or customer service experience. Don't waste your money, seriously

I was thinking about taking the training from arise but I had already figured that real jobs would be rare or nonexistent but I thought maybe I could use the training at another company. I know of at least one company that hires people to work from home but they prefer people with call center experience which I don't have and that was why I was willing to pay for the training. So I was wondering before I do, is the training at least worth while? Will I be able to use it at another company or is it also bad? I mean I wouldn't care if they fired me or something if I could use what I learned at another company.

I've been working for Arise for a year and few months now. I can't say they're a total scam, but they do rip you off. They don't pay all the hours you work and you have to be going back to open those tickets that take weeks to get resolved. They change the SOW (Statement Of Work) and modify the hours even after you originally signed it. If you don't agree with the new one "tough luck" they dish you and you're out of the couple of hundreds you paid for the training. I also got terminated from a client because of the metrics, I signed up for customer service and no, the initial contract didn't mention sales, then got terminated because of low upsell rates or whatever they call it.

They have clients for which the pay per minute or a minimum hourly rate, still as some other agents mentioned before you can spend an hr or more with a customer on the line and Arise wants to pay you the 1 or 2 dollars they pay per call. Those hrs should be paid on hourly rate, not calls. If you have any issues and you try to contact them there is no way to do so, you have to go through that resolution center, which again doesn't give you a straight response, they just add some lame comments and close the case without contacting you, not even through email.

They do demand a lot of hrs and professionalism, but they give none back. How many companies have you work for as employee or contractor where you can't reach a live person to talk to about issues, mainly when it comes to sensitive issues like money?

They rotate people like crazy, they can't keep correct track of worked hours mainly for clients that have telephone, chat and email. Then they terminate you because of metrics that are incorrect.

They're just making all the money in the world charging VSC for the classes, then terminating them and as others mentioned before calling or emailing you about new opportunities. How if you terminated someone because of performance issues you hire them back as long as they're willing to drop another $200+ for training class, just to get rid of them at a latter time?

I would love to see a class action sue against these people. I'll be the first to join ...

I've been working for Arise for over two years and am on my third client and have had no problems. I was terminated from one client and quit another. I agree with Bray in that you have to figure out what you are good at. I was terminated from Apple after a year, because I am not a good sales person. Anyone can meet their metrics over the holidays with Apple, but once February rolls around, your metrics will suffer if you are not a goods sales person. I quit a chat client because I could not handle 3 chats at a time, it was just too overwhelming. I am however an administrator, therefore a customer service application works for me. As long as I can understand the policies and procedures of a client and articulate them as such, I'm good. I saw my termination coming with apple because I was warned. My PF (mentor) told me the areas I needed to work on, and I was warned on several occasions. Even with my current client, I have my bad days, and if my metrics dip too low, there is a probationary period, and as long as there is a steady progression, there is nothing to worry about.
I'm in training now for a new client and some of the call play backs are horrible. The agent sounds like they don't want to be bothered or who are clearly just not paying attention to what they are doing. I think arise is great for someone who needs to suppliment their income, a student or a stay at home parent.

I work for a company that has Arise handling their order and enquiry calls and am looking into working from home. The only time we speak to the Arise advisors is when they transfer a call to us, which takes no more than 30 seconds yet all my team dislike most Arise advisors because they are rude, don't follow process, lie to get us to take the call and even blind transfer customers.

About 95% of the advisors do not handle the calls properly and looking at the comments on here about 95% think Arise is a scam because they have been terminated! Kinda makes sense if you ask me!

Yes you may be meeting targets but how are you handling the calls? What do the customers think of you? Hitting targets is not all that is expected of any advisor and I know this first hand. The tone of your voice, the way you speak to the customer and how effcient you are is also very important.

You're self employed and you don't have to be given notice! If there is only a small number of people that handle the calls properly then there is bound to be a high turn over. Call centres have a high turn over and they can't just let you go so if you think call work is easy, your are seriously mistaken! It may look like all you have to do is sit there with the headset on but it's not!

The compnaies are constently changing to meet customer demand, systems are always updated and so you constently have to re-train and the demand for working hours change. If you can't give 110% all the time regardless of whether the customer is irate or not, then call work is not for you!

I got certified with Arise back in 2008 but didn't start working with a client until October 2009 which Walgreens.com was my first client. I only lasted for 2 months reasoning being they said that my C/A was not meeting 90% during the time that they said I wasn't meeting my C/A was time time when I was having techincal problems one was when there was a cold front and my internet services was not working and couldn't logon which made it look like I was a no show other times when they send out those convenient leave and you don't know what or how they work but every time I had a problem I tried contacting my PF which she didn't contact you right away it could be 4 or 5 days before she would or long but when she did she would say either go to Live Support or to the Resolution Center which now they would take FOREVER to get back in touch with you and when you would put in another ticket to Live Support for the same issue because you have heard from them they would send out a respond quickly on that but I haven't resolve the first ticket to begin with so as time pass how do they expect you to up hold your C/A performace my issue was I was lock out of Walgreens. Com Citrix and yes I did put in a ticket with Live Support it took them a week and half to get me a new password by that time you know what happen that right I was terminated I tried calling and emailing the Client Manager she didn't call me back but she did respond to one of my emails after I left her a voice mail she reply back to me by email and basisly she told me the same thing she did not want me to contact her by email but to go to the Resolution Center will hell they did not tell me to go the Resolution Center when the took my money nor did they tell me to contact Live Support when I gave them my credit card to pay to the certification class.

If she would have research or even took the time to listen to me about what had happen in my situtation she would have know that there was a problem that I had no control over.

ARISE is most certainly not a SCAM in the proper sense of the word. I have been working with ARISE since 2004 when it was still WILLOW CSN and although I ### about a lot of things, I can certainly assert that a scam it is not. You have to come to this with a very mature attitude. If you are starting a business, you will have to invest into that venture by purchasing equipment, paying fees, and yes even training. By the way, as a corporation you can deduct all of that from your year end taxes and it pretty much averages out in the end. Is Arise a dream job? A career builder? NO. It's just a way to make a mediocre living from home and that is the only real advantage...working from home... Arise is a Corporation, they're not in this to Help Humanity, they're in this to make money. They provide the technology and the clients and you bring your skills and your dependability...and that is that.

I have been working with 'the mouse' for about a year and a half and I'll be the first to admit, sometimes I'm not fulfilling my commitment and I don't always hit the mark with the QA's and yet, I've never been terminated from any client because I do what is minimally required and once I'm on the job I am 100% committed to the quality of the job. In all honesty it has been my experience in the last 6 years with Arise, that it takes A LOT for Arise to terminate you. And I do MEAN A LOT.

If you are out there considering taking a chance on this venture, don't be discouraged by the nay-sayers and the disgruntled. Go into it with realistic expectations. It is not a dream job, you will have to invest (all investments are tax deductible) and you will have to make an effort to stay committed. If you adhere to the commitment and you can get hours you can make more than minimum wage with this company.

Has anyone worked with Arise as an Insurance Agent? They contacted me after I submitted a receive to careerbuilder.com and want me to work as an agent for a company out of Florida. I read all the posts and now I'm wondering if I should bother.

I would never pay to work for ANYONE COMPANY...employee or "Independent Contracter". That is the FIRST sign of a scam, when a company asks YOU to pay for training and joining their "Company". This has SCAM written all over it. Sad part is that so many are looking for employment that they take the rest and spend hundreds of dollars to loose it in the end. STAY AWAY from companies like Arise.

Mitch, I sympathize with you. I know the feeling. Happened to me too. To Pigsfly up above. please let us know how you make out with the IRS and legal proceedings. I absolutely agree with what you're doing. Arise is a TRAINING MILL. That's all they are...they are a scam. To those of us who honored our SOW requirements in full (and for some of us, WAYYYY beyond what what required), and for those of us who received Preselect & wonderful WEEKLY Q.A.'s...HOW are these people still around. The government needs to look into them for unfair labor practices and so does the IRS. Pigsfly...maybe we can all get together & file a class action lawsuite against these losers. They prey against people who REALLY want to start their own businesses. They scam you into paying $100-$200+ per required client training. You get all set up and excited about the wonderful (LOL) opportunity, and then they just lock you out of the system and you NEVER get a straight answer as to why they terminated you. BUUUUTTTTTT...hold on there...HAVE NO FEAR...Just a few days or weeks later, even though you are so degraded because you pick your brain over and over wondering WHY this happened and why NO ONE will talk to you or give you a straight answer as to what you did wrong...they send you emails & call you to let you know about OTHER WONDERFUL opportunities for which you can again pay MORE MONEY and get trained to start with another client. Now, come on...if you are terminated by a company because of SUPPOSED wrong doing for WHATEVER reason...W H Y, PLEASE TELL ME WHY, for you people (maybe they are ARISE people or friends of ARISE Employees or whatever)...who defend these horrible practices PLEASE explain why they would even remotely consider re-hiring you for another client or project...if you were SOOOOO bad on one, so bad they just terminated you and didn't even notify you because you are just down in the dirt horrible and have no business working, WHY WOULD THEY call you and email you about paying them to retrain and getting another client? Hmmmm...can't answer...? IT'S BECAUSE THEY ARE A TRAINING MILL. That's all they are. Hey, maybe they do keep a few select individuals because they like their voice and sound good on the phone or get great Q.A.s...but what about those of us who they've SCREWED? Think about it before you ARISE!
