Aqua Globe review: These globes are the most dangerous items especially if you have children 10

These globes are the most dangerous items especially if you have children. My 8 year old son was trying to be helpful (without my knowledge) and decided to fill the Aqua Globe with water. Unfortunately, the small, narrow tube was filled with dirt. He tried to clear the dirt and the stem broke and went straight through his left hand. 8 stitches later, I am on a mission to warn anyone I can about this product. Since our experience this week, I have heard numerous stories of the globes injuring others or just breaking when trying to clear the stem. There is no warning label what so ever on their packaging.

I purchased two sets of Aqua Globe s from Blair. The water goes out of them from 0-2 days instead of the 2 weeks advertised. I have constantly filled them with water and always the same result. Also, when they are pushed down into the soil, the ends fill up with dirt and it clogs the end of the globe up. Any suggestions? I had ordered two sets for my daughter but cancelled the order.

I've tried everything to make sure my plants are watered properly by the Aqua Globe. The globes plug up no matter what I do to prevent it (i.e. follow manufacturers directions). They are pretty but not worth the money if they do not perform. I'm afraid to rely on the Aqua Globes when I am gone from the house. Not happy at all with this purchase.

We ordered 1 set and got 3 and we were billed for 3. After phone call, aggrevation set in and we returned everything. Didn't even open the boxes. We paid for the returned postage. Our account was credited, but not for the entire amount. They hit us with a $23.85 "processing fee". So, we shelled out a total of $40.85 ( returned postage + processing fee) and have nothing to show for it.

So I bought the Aqua Globe s all excited... until they over-watered all my plants and got clogged with dirt... so I cleaned them out and filled them with wine... yum! tasty product!

I have questions for you. Can you make a clear aqua globe glass container with a liter size and a fine cone edge so as not to clogged the opening regardless of the type of soil and easy to fill with the liquid. Right now, I am not buying this product because of my demands.

Aqua Globe s are not worth a hoot. When you stick them into the dirt the end of the tube just gets plugged up with dirt and no water comes out.

I recently received these in the mail. When putting one into a plant, it shattered. I required stitches. They are not to be put into the plant as shown on tv. I find it very misleading and they can be dangerous...

Be very careful of ordering aqua globe online, they are some other kind of dishonest company just like Smart Lidz and it's basically a cheap quality product to sell online and STEAL money from people...

In fact thir site is so much like Smart Lidz that I think they are the same thing.

I don't think products designed for adult use need an age warning on the box. Or did you mean a "caution: glass is breakable" warning?

But I can understand that your son was just trying to be nice.

He's probably learned his lesson, but he should really be taught not to play or use items like that. I'm sure he's not allowed to use the stove even if he wants to be helpful and make dinner. I hope you understand what I mean.

Sorry he required medical care.

Wow! I guess I am lucky - only 5 stitches for me...
