I have visited this applebees quite a few times and on every occasion the customer service is the same. The waitress doesn't come to our table promptly and then when asked to speak to a manager one comes over with as bad an attitude as the waitress gives. I have also noticed on each occasion that every time i have to ask the server where our waitress is and also why I've been waiting twenty minutes without even getting any service at all, only to have a larger party than the one im in walk right in and get served... The manager on duty even had the nerve to touch the brother on the shoulder and stand up for his employees ### service. I asked the manager if i could have his name and the district managers name and telephone number only for him to reply its in the phone book... As a manager of two restaurants and a customer i don't expect to be treated like that from anyone in the same position. We all work hard for our money and shouldn't be made to feel as if our patronizing a restaurant is a nuisance . So finally when the server finally walked over to offer me a drink when she saw us speaking to the manager i got up and walked out, and i will never return again... and they wonder why so many applebees stores are closing... ill give you one guess the lack of customer service...

We went the Applebee’s in Wytheville, VA on Saturday, January 18, 2019. We arrived there at 5:20 p.m. and were seated in a booth next to hostess station and definitely not crowded. After sitting there for 30 minutes and no one acknowledging that we were there, I stopped the hostess and informed her that we had not had a waitress come to our table. I counted 5 waitresses on 2 sides of the small restaurant and waiting on the tables next to us. Someone came out in casual clothes and took our order for drinks and dinner. We received our drinks which were partially wrong and said nothing. A little later, we received one salad instead of the two my husband and I ordered. They came out with another which was ½ the serving size as the first. Again, we said nothing. Later, we received our meal and I received mashed potatoes instead of a baked potato. My husband said that it was wrong and I replied that it was o.k. and the server left and later brought a baked potato that was cold. My steak, mushrooms and onions were black charcoal on one side – which was uneatable. My husband’s steak was cooked correctly, but it was nothing but, one giant gristle, which was also uneatable. We did not complain about the meal, but the manager came out and said they were going to give us a discount – which they did for $15.00. Our meal for 2 with soft drinks, salads and steak and potatoes was $48.00 - $15.00 was $33.00 for a meal that was not fit to eat. No appetizers nor alcohol. This was the second time that we have had bad meals here and this was the final time. No more going there. We leave in a small town which has only a couple restaurants that have steaks. Next time, I will travel out of town

Went to Apple bees for our Anniversary, the service was terrible. It was not busy and we were told that It would be a 10 minute wait, OK no problem, we were taken to our table and told who our waiter would be, 5 min, later the waiter came over and to OK our drink order. Then after a 15 min wait, we were informed that our drinks would be there shortly. A different person brought our drinks to the table, 5 more minutes, and our food order was taken. After 20 minutes I had to call our waiter over so I could order another drink. Then after another 10 minutes, our food order was brought out by yet a different person, 5 more minutes I received my drink order. Still not a busy place. We were then given our check, not asked if we wanted desert or any thing else. That was the worst service I have ever had at Apple bees. I do not get to go out often, due to the economy.. but when we do, service on us returning is key! We have always gone to Apple bees at this address for the 10 years we have been at Fort Jackson and this was the worst service I have ever had. I have even had a talk with my employees on how we will not do this to our customers This has always been my favorite place to go, now I feel I have to find another place. Feel free to contact me:

Last week after working 12 hours straight, I was hungry and too tired to cook for one. I decided that Applebee's Curbside would do nicely. I pulled in and phoned for a menu which was brought out to me. When I had selected a meal I called again to order and was told that I would have to come inside the restaurant because it was after dark.. EXCUSE ME? She responded that it was for security reasons. I told her I was right in the parking lot in the car with the HANDICAP plates on it. She said I would have to come in because if she came out she might get mugged. At this point I tried to imagine why she might get mugged but it would be safe for me. I came home and cooked for one.

I recently went to the Applebee's in Chillicothe, Mo. with my husband. We do not live in the area so we weren't prepared for the horrible host service. He is 72 and walks with assistance from a large walker, I am 67 and had to try hard to hold the door open for my husband while THREE YOUNG ladies stood WATCHING. I did NOT appreciate this. Where we come from, if and elderly couple is going out to dinner at our Applebee's, we are treated with the upmost respect and care. If the management at this Chillicothe Applebee's knew that their employees weren't doing their job, I'm sure they would be dissapointed. The servers did well and the food was fine but our dining experience was ruined because of how it started.

My wife and I took our kids out to a nice dinner before our 30 min. drive home from work on Feb. 18, 2011. We went to the Applebees bar and grill on central ave in Sylvania Ohio. When our food came out my one sons food was wrong, and my food was so cold that it felt like it just came out of the refrigerator. They took my sons food back and remade it, so he got what he ordered. As far as my food the waiter took it back and brought it right back out after they put it in the microwave. I asked him how they remade my food so fast and he told me that he was given someone elses food, but when I looked at my food it still had the same fingerprints from me touching it. The waiter also told me that he was sorry but the two managers on duty were to busy in the kitchen to come out and talk to me. So I let my wife and sons finish there food so we could leave. On my way out I stopped at the hostess station and asked for their corperate phone number. She asked me if everything was ok and I told her no. I told her what had happened. She then asked if I would like to talk to a manager, I told her that he did not have the time to talk to me when the problem happened so why would he have time for me now. About one minute later the manager came out. He asked how he could help and I told him the only way he could help is to give me the phone number I wanted. He told me he could not give me that phone number but he would like to remake my food. I Told him I did not want my food remade my family was done eating and ready to go home. He then told me he could make me a to go box and that realy upset me. I told him that if I wanted to eat reheated food I could have just eaten what they served me. So seeing he would not give me the number my family left very upset. I think it is realy sad that when you take your family out to eat and you go away hungry and upset that is very poor service.

My 2 children, husband, and I walked in and was told it would be a 15 min. wait. We said it was okay and sat down. After 10 min. the Hostess told us there was a high table available, we said we would like a booth because we have two small children she told us it would be another 15 min. almost 20 min. later she cleaned of a booth that was dirty the whole time we was there and sat the four people who just walked in the door there. the waitress came up and, said you all have been waiting before them and the hostess replied you have a party of eight. I said no four and, walked out very upset. The whole time I was there people were getting seated... I guess my family was invisible. The hostess acted very unprofessional. She was seating everyone she knew, running to the door to hug other people she knew. My children were hungry and, could not understand why we didn't get to sit down or much less eat.

I have thought about this all week and have come to the conclusion that something needs to be done about this kind of service. I still have the receipt and the restaurant I am referring to is the Applebee's in Owensboro, KY. Last Saturday night we took our daughter out to dinner to celebrate her recent purchase of a home. It started out to be a nice celebration at our local Applebee's. We each ordered a sirloin dinner with baked potato/vegetable. When the meal was brought out the steaks were all on the chilly side but my steak and potato was completely cold to the touch. The waitress saw that I was not happy with mine so she had the manager come over to our table. I told him how cold the meal was and he said that he would replace it with another one. Up to this point I was satisfied since I was to get a replacement which I would be able to eat. But when the second meal came out it was as cold as the first. By this time my family had already finished their meal and I was left to eat mine by myself, which I did even though it was cold and not cooked to my liking which is medium rare. The manager never came back to check to see if the meal was all right or not. We have always been satisfied with the service at Applebee's before but after this treatment we will not spend our money there again. I am not talking a cheap meal. Our bill totaled $59.28 for this terrible meal and service. We have received meals in the past that was so hot that it was still sizzling when they placed it on the table. Maybe they are trying to reverse that but a meal needs to be hot in order to be good. I hope that this will get to their attention.

Thanks

I go to Applebee's in Lufkin, Tx a couple of times a week and usually always enjoy the atmosphere. However, the past few times I have had "Jenn" as my waitress. I don't like to complain at all but her service is horrible. She is very rude and I always see her sitting down at another table while my drink needs to be refilled or need something else. I am not the only customer that feels this way about her. I have talked to many other customers in reference of her and many wonder why she is still employed there. Jenn gives a bad reputation to Applebees.

Went to Applebees for lunch and had to wait 20 minutes to be seated (no big deal) we were seated and shortly after being seated they allowed a karate demonstration near the front entrance that lasted about 30 to 40 minutes with lots of yelling and clapping (very annoying for what you expect to be a nice quiet lunch)! Then they allowed someone to walk around a sell raffle tickets for the karate demonstration (another anoyance). We ordered our food and waited at least 45 minutes while people around us you arrived after us were already served and done eating. When our food arrived it was cold to the touch and we refused it and left. It was the worst experience I have ever had dining out and I will not ever eat at Applebees again. The last time we ate there the service was horrible, but we gave it another try and this was just ridiculously horrendous! Our waiter used the excuse that the whole karate thing was making everything confusing and assured us that our food would be hot (we asked him if the delay would make our food cold) and then another server brought our food and my pasta was cold and my husbands chile fries were cold and soggy: my sons chicken tenders were also cold! We went to Elephant Bar and Grill and had extremely fast and curteous service and a meal that was hot and delicious. You need to check into this, I don’t think that we were the only patrons who were upset. The complaint sight for Applebees does not work…apparently they don’t want to hear about peoples complaints!

On May 5th 2014 at 2pm, during work hours as a nanny, I took the baby (11 months old) out to eat with the consent of his parents.. I went to Apple bees on Flatbush Avenue and was seated. In looking for the baby's spoon in his bag, I felt a ### on my arm that was on the wooden table. I thought it was a wood splinter, only to my surprise it was glass chards from a broken glass I assume. I looked on the table and everywhere was broken glass. I jumped up, grabbed the baby and saw his little thumb finger was bleeding. He had gotten cut also. Now there wasn't much blood, but I freaked out because this was not my child.. I called management, in which they hustled me to the back so no one else would hear, so I was robbed of the chance to take a picture. The supervisor named Ebony, saw it and had it cleaned right away. I first refused an ambulance cause the cut seemed minor, but then I made them call the ambulance to make sure the baby had no more splinters in his arms. They checked and he was ok. They cleaned the little wound and put a bandage. I cleaned my wound and I was ok but more shaken up and traumatized thinking the baby could have had a worst accident. I sat in the back for 2 hours and was calmed after. I was told the manager would be back on the Friday 9 2014, and he would contact me right away. Today is the 14 May 2014 and still no call. Is this what business has come to. They get away with things like these and no one is held responsible? After calming down they brought the meal I had ordered prior to the accident and the nerve of my server to bill me for it after the ordeal I had, and she had an attitude when I said I was not paying for it. This is hands down ridiculous and they need to be held accountable for their actions so no one else is hurt.

I went to Applebees in my town and the experience was lame. Bad service, bad food and bad manager when we tried to complain. If you are going to claim that you are a neighborhood restaurant you have to staff it with people who want to be nice.

I want to speak to someone at Applebees corporate about this.

My wife and I went to a local Applebees here in Evansville on 2/19/2011. I was so dissatisfied with the service I received that I will no longer eat there again. First I ordered a drink and after the waiter took my order told me that I had been the fifth custormer to order that drink in the past week and they did not have the ingredents for that drink again, then we ordered our meal and other customers that came in 10 to 15 mins after us were already eating thier meals before us, when all we ordered was soup and salads and chicken tenders. they did not get what we ordered right our food was cold. then the manager came by to see if everything was ok and we voiced our complaints that we had, he acted as if he didnt care, then they treated us like we not there. this is the last time this will ever happen to us, and word of mouth goes a long way.

On January 8, 2011, my daughter grandaughter and I went to Applebees, for lunch The service was fine, the waitress was a sweet young girl. Our food came in a timely manner, but as our meal progressed, my daughter was eating her last chicken boneless wings, she cut it open and it was RAW. I dont mean undercooked, I mean raw My daugher who has many food issues to begin with, was beside herself. I asked to speak to the Manager, Sabrina Hogge, and he eventually showed up at our table. The Manager acted as though this were aevery day occurence and we were bothering her with trivialness. She then asked if verything else on the platter was eaten and then took $5.0 off our check. I, personally, thought this was ludacris but no where near as ludacris as the devil may care attitude from the Manager. She never even offered us an apology. In an instance such as this an apology and some sense of caring would have gone much further than $5.00 off the bill. I know that the manger did not cook the food, but I am under the impression that they are responsible for everything that leaves the kitchen. I implore that you remind your employees of the benefits of customer service. Thanks you for listening.

We live approximately 30 miles from the nearest Applebee's Restaurant. Since it's opening, we have patronized this restaurant about three to four times a month. We have a big family and at any given time, we are paying for six to eight people. We considered this restaurant our favorite (we eat out a lot). However, lately the food and service have been horrible. We ordered the little burgers and the chicken ranch sandwiches the last time. Both were inedible. The chicken was just a strip on stale buns with a toothpick through them. No ranch at all. We asked for ranch dressing and they brought it about 15 minutes later. We had already had to ask about our meal several times. We thought they had forgotten us. Honestly, we don't mind waiting if the food is good. My husband ordered a chocolate milkshake that tasted like bananas. He asked for another and it had ice in it. Sorry to complain but this particular restaurant has been this way lately (last five to six months) and it's not free. My husband and I work hard and we don't want to spend our money on bad food. This restaurant is a real disappointment.

We to applebees last nite, ordered appetizer, server put it in, came back took food order, apppetizer came out, took one bite then server came with food, so how do you determine whitch one to eat and whitch one you let sit and get cold.this is the second time this has happened, manager apoligized, took half price off appetizer, big deal, not happy with service, manager and server were very nice and polite, food was excellent, but something needs to be done to allow adequate time between apps and meals times.have always enjoyed the food and service, but this needs fixin.

Brunch on a given Sunday at Noon thirty; scenario...ordered bloody mary, took 25 minutes and asking waitress 3x to receive which was awful. I think the vodka had water in it. Then ordered a grilled chicken caesar salad, took 25 more minutes to receive, and the chicken was PINK. Awful. Another at my table ordered a beer, took 20 minutes. Due to starvation, I ate off someone else's fries and drank the water, such an awful experience; and I am a chef in the culinary world in Texas. I expected more from the Cajuns but this was a sin!

I can't recommend the Applebees in Woodbury, MN at all. Have been there twice in 6 months and the service was terrible both times we went there. Tonight, the service was terrible. The salad and dressing I had was terrible. Before I even ordered the salad, I asked the waitree (who was also the bartender) if it was the western french dressing. All she said is yes we have french dressing. She brought me my salad with some kind of different french dressing. I couldn't even eat it. They only took off $1.49 for the salad. Then I ordered a sprite with cherry in it and that was flat and watered down. The bill came to about $33 for 3 people. What a ripoff. I will never go to that Applebees in Woodbury, MN again.

My mother drove to our local Applebees restaurant in San Angelo Texas to pick up an order at the drive through. She had worked all day and was exhausted. When she got home, the order was completely wrong. She called and asked to speak with a manager and neither one (Tina Garza nor Jeremy Tanner would speak with her. She was told they were too busy. Unbelievably poor management! We won't be going back. This was very poor customer service. A simple acknowledgement would have saved them a customer.

After a fifty minute wait I had to go find a manager, she would not come when our waiter informed her we had a problem... She was on the phone. At that time I ask her is she could help us get our food. She gave some low answer and headed off for the back. After another 15 min. We got food which was wrong, no portabla mushrooms, my sisters fish was cold, It was a very unpleasant experience and we will just go back to panera bread for our every friday outing. This was our second try at applebee and they still need some management training.

On Saturday 01/29/2011 my wife and I decided to go to Applebee's located at 579 Brookwood Village, Birmingham, AL 35029 for a late lunch around 2:30p. The restaurant was not packed neither was it busy. After sitting for approximately 10 minutes waiting for our server to come introduce himself he finally showed up to take our drink orders. When he brought us our drinks my wife and I placed our orders and I ordered a salad with my meal. At that point my wife and I waited for our food and watched 2 other couples that were seated after us get there food before us. In the meantime our server is nowhere to be found and no one came to refill our drinks. Then finally another server comes up saying that there was a shift change and that he would be our server. We finally got our food after 30min of ordering. However, our waiter continued to walk past us and check on other tables and not even checking on us to refill our drinks. When I asked to speak to the manager he went and got him. When the manager came over and I explained to him the situation he actually defended the server and used the excuse that he was new and that the previous server should have informed us that there was a shift change. Its very frustrating to know that your company hires managers that doesn't know the importance of customer service especially in the restaurant business. I've been working customer service all my life and what I saw was far from it. This was a horrible experience and the manager didn't make it any better. I can understand the slow service if the restaurant was jammed pack but it wasn't! After that experience I don't know if I will ever go back to applebee's and I know for a fact I'm not going back to that particular location.

On 3 seperate occassions I have visited the business here in town. The following has occurred twice. I ordered steak and there was grissle in the steak that was as thick as a shoe lace. I showed it to the manager after waiting 45 min to see him. I asked him if he would feed that to his family? His reply an asstounding no. Last nite was it for me I walked in at 630 pm on a thurs nite and it was not crowded. It took 52 min to receive a salad and a sad excuse for a trio meal. When I brought it up to my server he stood there and told me that it was frustating for him as well. I was told that the place is hit or miss at best for service. This coming from my server I will not return under any circumstances. I am aware that its a chain and pert of a larger entity that has attempted to swallow the market locally. Screw em all. If it takes almost an hour to get standard fare then they need help. America some businesses fail because of crappy service, poor management, and shotty service. No bailouts please.

Went for lunch later in the day around 3:30. The place was almost empty. It took them forever to decide where to sit us. Then another wait to get serve. There were several employees just standing around. When asked if someone would wait on us they said
in a few minutes. Right... Finally a server came and asked for drinks when told her she said she had no idea what kind of wine was at the bar. She brought water, carrying several glasses, spilling all over, she said there were no trays. Finally we ask for a glass of wine, we did a glass. When asked for another the employee behind the bar
asked "do you need to have clean glasses" very rudely. We said yes of course and he huffed. When we did get the glass my glass was visible broken. When I brought it to him it just glared at me. When asked to see the manager he said "what's the big deal." The manager never appeared for about 30 minutes. He did not charge us for the wine but I have never seen such a rude employee. His name was Ryan Brusso.

Ok, I chose your restaurant because you have the weight watcher's menu. So i goggled and one of the options under Applebees was WW. So of course I chose that. It took me to a page that had nothing to do with WW and nothing to select on that page at all. That was just the beginning of the problem.

I tried looking at the menu, no points.

I also tried, unsuccessfully to choose my favorite (not any more) restaurant. I tried it 2 or 3 different ways, and it never saved it.

Your website looks pretty, but is pretty much non-functional.

today, I went to my local Applebee's location and ordered a standard burger with a coffee. My ordered the identical menu Items as I did.
the only difference is that I ordered mine, medium rare to medium, and my wife ordered hers to be well done.
we received the coffee promptly, however the burgers took well over 35 min. to appear, the well done burger was fine, however the medium/medium rare burger was well done, the same as the well done burger. when I questioned the waitress as to what happened, she stated that this was the second burger that the person who was cooking had already made a second burger as he cooked the first burger well done also.
I got to see the manager about the complaint, he offered to cook another burger for me. I could not take the time to waste another 1/4 of an hour, or more waiting for the meal to be remade, while my wife's food was getting cold if I should have to wait that long again. the manager stated that the person who was cooking was a superb cook, but was having a bad day. the restaurant was less than 50% full, and if the cook was having a bad day, the manager, should have sent the person home to resolve the issues, instead of aggravating the customers in the restaurant . it is too bad that the management of the Keene NH store on key road does not know how to train their cook in the proper food service. I have been a regular
at this location since they opened in Keene, and it is too bad that they can not get one of the basic items taught to the staff on it's proper preparation.

the service was excellent, the food could be good, but it will be a long time before I return

I will not be a customer to Applebees any longer. Last week, I registered a complaint with Applebees Corporate Office to inform them about the inadequate service that this location (Greenburgh, New York) displays.

Point given, they are always out of product, (Beer, Food, broken refridgerator serving beer in hot glasses, out of glasses, the food is in poor quality when brought out from the kitchen, and when brought to Management's attention, they don't care. In fact, one Manager on duty at the time told me on one occasion that "It Be That Way Sometimes".

I informed Coporate that it is the servers and Bartenders that gave that location great service that exemplifies the greatness in protecting the Applebees brand name, and bringing loyal customers back to that Resturant. Sadly to say, The Management Team at that location lacked Professionalism, and Moral Dignity for it's customers.

Today, I received a call from an (Area Director) for this Franchise (Not Corporate Resturant) who asked me what was the problem. I stated my complaint as mentioned earlier in this message. To my surprise the Area Director stated to me that her Manager's will never talk like that to a customer. My response to her was that I am not a liar and would not arbitrarily make this up.

She then stated that are you the person that orders salad, and I stated yes. She then stated that she is sorry I feel that way that she does not want me back at their Resturant anymore. My reply was no problem, I will take my business else where. I called Applebees Corporate Office, and again filed another customer complaint reiterating the aforementioned. They stated that they were shocked, and that they will further investigate however; this is a franchise, and they have a right to refuse service to anyone. (Sounds Like The Jim Crowe South All Over Again).

To be honest, I came there because I have met some great people at this location, and have made friends as well. The place is a cheap dump broken Resturant that never have 100% what you ask for. Out of beer, the refrigerator is broken, out of certain foods, out of certain glasses, out of this, and out of that. What they should be is out of Damn Business. Point Blank, and I give them one year from now or less that this come to past.

So, I will NOT be back there ever again, and I will take my business back to where I belong, White Plains real Business Establishments. I have sent this message to all of my business partners who are calling telling me that they are in total shock. They are also going with me to other establishments that treat their customers with dignity and respect.

We ate at Applebees today 12/27/08 the food was good but the service was awful. I asked for more butter for may baked potato which I did not receive. Our waitresse was busy talking to a person at the bar and didn't have time for us. The rest of the staff was very friendly.

Advised during my visit today that they no longer serve chips w/nacho sauce (con-queso) I have been going to applebees for several years and always had gotten this as an appetizer. I think I will have to switch to Chilis to get want I want, But its good to know now so I don't suggest Applebees while off traveling. Its a shame too.

The manager at the Applebees store on 9616 East Independence Blvd. Matthews NC was very rude. I onlygot 3 onion rings on my plate after I paid extra, told the waitress and she agreed to bring the extra that were missing. After an hour the manager came to our table and was very rude and I ended up paying for what I didn't get. Horrible customer service NEVER going back again (after being a loyal costumer).

Recently a local diner discovered a whole small lizard in her salad. We do not know if this was the fault of applebees or a server at the establishment. I have also eaten there once and was very sick that evening and the next day from some chicken I ate. I reccomend that nobody eats at this restaurant. DISGUSTING!

Went to the South Salem Oregon Applebee's sat in the bar area tonight (04/30/15). Worst service I have ever had there. My waitress was horrible. Saw her twice. When we ordered and when she dropped the check. My drink sat at the bar for at least five minutes why bartender and manager small talked. Some one brought us water but not our server. And we had to ask for it twice. Not to mention that was what my wife was drinking. Appetizer was just dropped on the table by I don't know who. NO PLATES or SILVERWARE. Nothing said. Just slam. Not even a minute later our steaks were dropped off finally someone got us silverware . Steak was under cooked we requested medium well and they came out medium rare. We ate a little bit of them but they were just not right. Mention it to her but it seem like she really did not care. Brought us a couple boxes and walked off. We finally figured out we were supposed to pay on the computer gadgets on the table. Its only by chance a waiter came by and showed us.

The complaints are right on the money. If I read in the papers tomorrow the franchise is closing, I would not be unhappy .
