Dear Andy,
This letter is being sent to you because we have not been able to have our Chimney Repairs completed to our Satisfaction, you have been contacted by phone many times, and you have promised to come by my house to complete this brick repair work, so far this has not been done.
I have given you $2, 500.00 in 2013 for this work to be completed, you have given me a 7 year guarantee on your workmanship, and if you have not completed this work, how can you give me any guarantee on this?
You never returned in 2014 to complete this work which you stated in 2013, I want to know, when you will return to my house at 506 Queensdale Crt. Waterloo. Ontario to finish this chimney brick work?
I will take further action if this work is not completed to our satisfaction? I have taken pictures of this uncompleted brick work, and be assured We will have this work handed over to another contractor to complete, and YOU will be given the Bill to pay for this work for sure.
So lets get real and please complete this brick work as soon as possible, you have made promises to me in the past and so far we have not seen any sign of you since 2013.
So please complete this work ASAP. this is still outstanding as you have never contacted me you promised.

I’ve been advised by Mr. Andrew Lahey to withdraw my complaint or he threatens to sue for loss of work.
While I would prefer another company, I sincerely apologize to Mr Andrew Lahey
for posting my complaint.
This Lahey guy is now in business in Newfoundland. His business is in Portugal Cove. To be exact. He appeared on my mother’s door
3 weeks ago, claiming the cap for the propane fire place was rusting and swaying back and forth in the wind. He promised to also patch
the chimney flashing for free ?!. We talked to the neighbour, that had work performed by Lahey. He said he waited almost a year for it was
even started. A trusting person, the neighbour l mean, paid him up front, and the Lahey guy disappeared fo a yeah.
Curiously, he gave my Mother a phone number from a “satisfied “ customer. Mom phoned the client and all she would say was, ”The work was
okay, l guess.” Later checking out the number, it was his wife. Also, quoting a pit, of 300.00, GST was calculated at 370.00, at .15%. Go figure.
Anyway he was told to take a hike. [redacted] left trying to take back his “ business card. Nay nay l say,
he left, having his feathers ruffled. We waved goodbye. Lol. He seems to prey on widowed men or women, inciting fear of the importance
of having work carried out. I know this is 2020, but the person is working in Newfoundland.

People beware, have your 4 year old do the work for you, at least, we would get a 15 year guarantee.

You did not have any work completed, only a quote, so a dissatisfied review is not appropriate.
Your claim that he preys on widowed men and women is slandering his business. For your information, he drives by homes which need work and advises appropriately, with no idea who is inside the home. If an elderly, widowed person happened to answer, it would not unlikely as they may have been in the home for many years and haven’t looked at their chimneys state.
If your neighbour had an issue with the quality, they would be able to speak to him directly rather than visiting you to post a complaint. I’m curious why you would call for his business if there was a complaint.
Lastly, if his wife was to offer the so called reference you received, I am sure she would’ve said the work was better than okay.
I would suggest you stop “preying” on small businesses, who simply offer a quote, by slandering their reputable business for your enjoyment.
This Andy guy is still in business doing brick work he is a SCAM and his work is not good and he promises things that he cannot supply, PLEASE BEWARE OF HIM IN THE K-W-CAMBRIDGE-GUELPH AREAS OF ONTARIO, CANADA
