American Signature Furniture poor quality and no service

I purchased furniture July 19, 2010 from American Signature Furniture in
Morrow, Georgia. The dinning room table required servicing upon
delivery.
since then I have made numerous requests for service. The stain,
pigment, coloring, whatever you want to call is so weak that your
fingernail will remove it. I live alone, no children, very few
visitors...only me and I am careful not to touch it for fear i will do
further damage. The worst part of this is that I am still paying for
this junk because of a catastrophic Illness i couldn't meet the terms to
avoid the extreme compounded interest as I had hoped...I hate it, but
I'm still making payments. I'm sure this junk will be thrown out long
before its paid for. I had an occasion to visit the store and to my
surprise the original sells person is now the store manager. I spoke to
him about my problem and he assure me that he would take steps to
correct it. That was several months and no one done a thing. Oh I might
add...Its still under their warranty which isn't worth the paper its
written on. I agree with other comments made in this forum...I was
deceived, lied to and now I'm just plain aggravated! I would admonish
everyone to be careful and look at whatever you plan to buy from
AMERICAN SIGNATURE FURNITURE with a magnifying glass. As I said, I'm
stuck with junk.
Sincerely,
J. Bell Central Georgia

American Signature Furniture terrible merchandise

I initially purchased a Mattress, Futon and what appeared to be an amazing Living room Set. When delivered my living room set was dirty, I had to call the fabric insurance to come out an clean it. In a matter of 3 months my living room set had looked as if it was 5 years old. The ottoman was sagging with no support and the material they used had quickly become dingy and fuzzy. When I called to complain, initially I was offered new seat cushions. When I showed up to the store to retrieve cushions they were not available. So in my complaining fit they offered to give me a new set equal to the cost of the original set, I thought that fair. So I picked out 2 100% leather reclining chairs. It has now been about 4 months and the leather is peeling… WTF. Again they offered to give me new couches…why so I can go through this again in 3 more months. Had I known the products they sold not of a good quality I would have never purchased from them.
Sales people were pushy and dishonest.
Customer Service was overworked and was not very helpful.
Sadly I used RAC to purchase my products and when you are paying 3x’s the sale price you want what you buy to last you a good 10 years at least.
Learned lesson you get what you pay from in this case I got NOTHING.

American Signature Furniture disaster

My husband and I ordered a couch and a chase on Monday 2/11/13 to be picked up on Sunday 2/17/13 I get a phone call on Saturday night 2/16/13 at 8:00pm telling me the couch will not be in until wednesday but I can come pick up the chair. After much frustration they agreed to deliver the couch for no additional cost on Wednesday. So on Sunday I went to pick up the chase and upon review it was damaged. I asked for the store manager and the guy (Chad) in the ware house slammed the door in my face. After going inside the store to speak to the Manager about what happened she acted like it wasnt a big deal and said she spoke with him and he knows what he did wrong.. I expect a little more than a slap on the wrist for being that disrespectful to a customer. After that mess the store manager agreed to have the chair fixed and delivered with the couch on Wednesday. Wednesday comes around and to no suprise at all the chase is STILL damaged, they never even touched it. I will never be shopping with American Signature again. I have had the worst experience possible.

American Signature Furniture poor quality leather sofa

A little over one year ago my wife and I furnished a whole home with furniture from American Signature Furniture on US 41 in Fort Myers. The furniture looked very nice when we bought it however the quality has turned out to be terrible. One particular item is an Italian Leather Sofa of supposed high quality. This sofa has begun splitting open on the surface after just one year, We have no children or pets and are very easy on our furniture yet it is still wearing out far before it should. It is obvious that this is low quality workmanship and materials being sold as high end furniture. We went to the store and spoke with the store manager. He told us matter of factly that American Signature Furniture would do nothing for us and suggested we call a local furniture restoration service at our cost. With this low quality mechanise and lack of service or standing by their product. If I was working for American Signature I would be looking for another job with a better future.

American Signature Furniture poor quality and broken promises

I ordered a sectional sofa, carpet, and an entertainment center last April. We knew that the left chaise of the sofa is out of stock and will be available June 5 but the saleslady said she will make it a point to have the store manager to look at the other store and get it within the week so we agreed to buy the sectional. A week after the saleslady didn't call us so I called and she said the left chaise is not available even on other stores. We asked for a repair of the sofa since a portion of the thread was loose and the entertainment center has a crack, so after how many days a technician came by and fixed the furniture. Technician said oh the chaise is to be delivered tomorrow so we called American Signature to confirm and they said the technician has no right to tell us that and that he is lying. So we complained but there is nothing they can do. We called again to report something wrong on the sofa, they said somebody needs to look at it and they schedule 3 weeks after my call and they also confirmed that the chaise will be delivered June 7, today I got a call and they said the chaise won't be available until June 24. Never buy in American signature again.

American Signature Furniture cheap cushions

I purchased the ADRIAN SECTIONAL(RED)American Signature furniture from Value City Furniture in May 2011. By June/July 2011 the cushions looked like I had the sofa for years! I called Value City w/my problem and they replaced the cushions with "better quality" cushions in Nov 2011, and guess what? When they look worn again and in the middle section you can actually feel the base of the couch when you sit there!.
I cant return the sofa because I took out a small loan to pay for it UGH!
So this morning I called an Upholstery company and will be replacing the cushions. I think this really sucks as I am still paying on the sofa in the first place!
My Mom bought a LazyBoy sofa around the same time and her couch still feels nice and firm and not sinking in when you sit.
Needless to say I will not be purchasing any more American Signature Furniture. I will just pay extra for good quality furniture.
VERY EXPENSIVE LESSON LEARNED!

American Signature Furniture damaged furniture/ poorly constructed furniture. poor customer service. poor delivery practices.

I have been buying furniture from this Value City Furniture Store for 15 years and never had a problem until my most recent purchase of a "Celebration Red" Sofa/Chair and Ottoman Package. ($ 1157.37). I've actually made all of my purchases from the same sales associate, Diana Ensinger, a long time employee. She has always been attentive and helpful without being over your shoulder like most sales people that work on commission.
Anyway, the first delivery attempt was a nightmare, two hoopies were actually dragging my couch cushions across my muddy driveway. They were loose and not covered in plastic and covered in dirt from the delivery truck. The first red flag went up.
I went to the truck to inspect the rest of the furniture before the unloaded it. They let my up on the truck for a better look. I dont think they are allowed to do that but they did. I knew immediately that I did not want this furniture. It was not covered or wrapped and covered in truck dust. I told them to sent it back and they offered to send me another sofa/chair/ottoman delivered in plastic and I agreed. I also requested new delivery people with a little more professionalism.
The next delivery came and the delivery went smoothly. After the delivery people left, I decided to inspect the furniture. I immediately found large cuts across the ottoman feet and a large tear on the fabric on the bottom fabric. I also found fabric torn and hanging down from the bottom of the sofa with broken staples jagging out. Several of the feet on all of the furnitre move around and need to be fixed as well. The back cushions on the chair and sofa are loose cushions with a fiber fill and they look like they are old or poorly stuffed. If I sit on the couch for 15 minutes and get up, it looks like a 800 lb. sumo wrestler has been sitting there for a week. The fiber fill inside is loose and is coming out of the cushions.
I purchased this furniture in Feb. 2012 and I called Value City immediately, several times with these issues. I'm still waiting. I don't even use the furniture. I don't think it is sturdy enough to sit on. I made a terrible mistake buying this furniture. I just want it to be GONE! AS far as the sales associate, Diana Ensinger, she was just doing her job. Sell furniture, get commission, forget about the customer. Pawn customer off to Customer Service.

American Signature Furniture customer service

From the beging the experience was bad, so we should've stopped right there. But we didn't, the furniture was nice, price was reasonable, and it would suite our living room well. But we were wrong... the service all the way, until we had our furniture picked back up, was SAD.
First there was the sales person, who wouldn't take no for an answer and he thought he knew everything! After we decided on the living room set we wanted, we choose our table, and then were ready to check out. He suggested to us, as he's suppose to, the furniture protection plans. There were 2 different kinds. One was for like $70.00 and the other for @ $200 something. We declined both of them and even gave our reasons, which we didn't need to. But he wouldn't give up! I mean he was after us to get it so bad that he didn't hesitate to call us "cheap", in words, at the time of payment. He says, "that's sad that you have to pay $78.00 to the government in taxes, but you can't spend $70.00 on your self for the protection plan". OK...? Seriously? But we didn't say anything. Then there was the issue of delivery date. we weren't able to get our stuff for another 2 weeks because one of the pieces was not in stock. He talked to us like we were couple of imbeciles, not understanding what he's trying to say, when he didn't understand what we were trying to ask. So manager comes over and resolves issue in a minute by setting up a delivery date for all the available stuff first and two weeks later for the one piece that was missing. We got our furniture, and one piece of the dining was damaged so they took it back. then on the given date for our missing piece to come in, no one came. So I call and left a message with some one for the manager to give me a call back, which he never did. I call back after few days of waiting and speak to someone and find out that my piece is there no more! Wonderful! Another delivery date, another day off from work. Delivery men show up with the wrong table, a totally new and different one, and have no idea about my missing side chair. They go back to the truck and rummage around and then come back with the right piece of my table and then rummage a little more and find the chair too. They set it and leave. I notice then that there was a piece of store price tag hanging on the new chair! WTH! We pay for new stuff and were sent store piece! What if the rest were too? So I call and talk to manager and relay the situation to him and he apologizes, and tells me he'll call me back. He has no idea how this had happened and schedules another date for me to get a new piece for that one. Soonest? 4 days later. But again, 4 days later, no call, no delivery. We call and tell them to just come back and pick up their stuff. They do show up on time for the pick up, and the delivery guy being smart too. So in short, stuff is gone, and I'm DONE with ever dealing with this company AGAIN!

American Signature Furniture I was so disappointed the way they handle the situation

I ordered a bed, sofa, dining table and vanity mirror on may 21, 2010. They delivered the bed, dining table/chairs and vanity mirror.on the 3rd of june. They assembled the bed but not the vanity mirror because they told us that they don't have the screws for it. They will just come back when they have the screws. At that time they didn't delivered the sofa because it was a back-order. The subsequent day as we sat on the chair, it was broken. We called the customer service and told them about the vanity mirror and the chair. Nothing happened. I waited for three weeks, until I chose to go back to the store. They told me that they will call me when they have the screws for the mirror. They delivered the sofa on the 28th of june but did nothing on the vanity mirror when all it need was screws. They have a show of that vanity mirror when I went there. I even questioned if I could just have that and they told me no because it was a show. I have a vanity where the mirror was just laying on the floor and a broken chair which by the way, they told me it was a back order. I waited for a second time and it's nearly two months so I went back to the store again. I told them I'm just gonna exchange my dining table which they did but still no screws for my vanity mirror. I just told them is it so complicated to go to Home depot or Lowes for that screws. It was so frustrating the way they handle their customers. They should replace their customer service people for they cannot relay messages. I was so disappointed the way they handle the situation.

American Signature Furniture sorry waranty

There isn't any reason to buy a warranty because it's useless.I was told it was my fault that my warranty wasn't honored because I didn't do their job.It makes me sick to know that me and my sister in law spent about 7or8 thousand dollars on useless furniture. The warranty's are worthless the find a way to not honor their warranties. At least Jesse James had a gun when he robbed you.I know you don't care, but I will tell every body that will listen how sorry I was treated by this comp.and their warranty company.

American Signature Furniture sales/delivery

We searched and searched for a perfect couch and THOUGHT we found it at American Signature. We put a deposit down for a future move date of 2 months; we should have known right there. When we went to confirm our new address and move date the week prior, they told us they never secured the move date as the couch wasn't paid in full. Being a young couple and this our first "real" furniture purchase, we weren't aware of the need to pay in full to secure a delivery date - and no one in sales nor the back care group that entered our order informed us. Still wanting that couch, we went ahead and secured the delivery date by paying in-full and had to wait a week in our new place with no couch.

A slight inconvenience but not the biggest deal... until the delivery came and it was the WRONG couch. No one knows how this was ordered or why it came to us that way. I'm not even talking the wrong color - I mean the ENTIRE wrong COUCH. We went straight up to the store in Altamonte Springs to talk with them about the misdelivery. They offered the consession that they would work with us by taking the delivery fee off entirely, which we thought would be an okay way to make it up to us (mind you, the 'right' couch couldn't be delivered for yet another week... that's now two weeks with no couch). My boyfriend mentioned how they had trouble getting the 'wrong' couch up our stairs and so perhaps it would be best that we actually found a different one (as the 'right' couch was bigger yet). The salesperson (Jason Grant) took us to a few couches he personally would suggest - we spent about an hour debating over two... and then announced our conclusion.

Great! He walked us up to the customer care counter and when my boyfriend brought up the delivery fee being taken off - the salesman retracted his offer by saying "well, sir, you and I just agreed that the other couch wouldn't have fit anyway". In short, they were taking back their consession because we decided to purchase a different couch. We tried to explain that we aren't absolutely sure and neither are they - but that we thought we'd play it safe and order one we KNOW wouuld fit so that we wouldn't have to extend yet a THIRD week without a couch. That plus, their careless delivery failure was still a mistake on their part, not ours. With the receipts in-hand back at the customer care/cashier place, he pulled up our previous order to change things around (as we still debated this delivery fee). He noted that the 'wrong' couch produced an invoice of almost $500 difference than the original 'right' couch, didn't we notice that when we went to pay? Because we should have had alarms raised at that point (we didn't keep the original order with us the day we went in to pay, it was 3 months earlier, we bought other merchandise over time, and we didn't remember the exact sticker amount with the fabric care, delivery, taxes, etc included - so NO, we didn't notice). This was yet another attempt to put the blame for this on us, which wasn't settling well. As we tried to figure out how much the deposit was, how much the difference was, how much we had as a credit to apply to the new purchase - between 3 of us, we couldn't make up or down of the invoices to come to an agreement for what we have already paid. To us, it was simple - a deposit, and a balance. To them by their system, we were $239 off and owed them more. I found the mistake - we were actually charged the delivery fee twice, it carried from one transaction to another and was charged again - but the salesperson didn't agree.

My boyfried asked for them to simply refund us the cash we paid previously, and suggested that we just start over. Come to find out... they can't refund us CASH (even though we paid CASH for the balance) and they won't refund it to the card we originally used to pay for the deposit. They have to send it up to CORPORATE and we can pick up our CHECK in 8 days.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! At this point, we can't even take the money to purchase another couch somewhere else if we wanted to, they had us handcuffed to their store! I just couldn't believe they wouldn't give us our money back - the care woman stated that it tells us on the back of our receipt that they won't refund more than $250 to a credit card and that's their policy. Unbelieveable.

We were so infuriated we decided that we'd take our business elsewhere regardless of having to sit on the floor for another week or more. There's no way we will be customers of American Signature again, horrible sales, horrible service, horrible record keeping, horrible policies.

Horrible customer service is just not the way to do business in this poor economy. Sad way to get your name out, American Signature! My husband and I have shopped there numerous times (without purchasing) and I am certain we won't consider stepping in your store again~ Nothing more infuriating than being treated like an idiot. It is FURNITURE sales... and it should not be treated as though your customers have just signed their lives away. Pathetic customer "care."

American Signature Furniture poor quality, bad service and bad fittings

I purchased a dining table from american signature 2 weeks back with a self delivery option as I couldnt afford the 125$ delivery fees. I bought it for 540$ including taxes. I get it delivered today through another delivery person paying 50$ as the dining table doesnt fit my car.
Complaint 1 - 1 Wrong chair delievered.
Complaint 2 - 1 of the chair legs chipped off at one of the ends.
Complaint 3 - None of the screws and the fittings aligned . Took us 1 hour to fit a 1 chair and turns out it the legs are not aligned correctly and the chair tilts.
For all ths effort and pain - all the store offers is a replacement - for which I have to take back the whole piece again at my own cost and and get a replacement ...! so what i spend 150$ in moving and taking all this ...! I understand self delivery means my headache - but my isnt my contract of self delievery limited to 1 trip from shop to my home ... !

American Signature Furniture delays and lies

We ordered a dining table and chairs back in March of this year and were assured that it would be in on May 18th, today. When I go to pick it up, because pick up is faster than delivery, there are 4 chairs but no table. I'm told now that the table is on back order and I won't be able to get it until June 30. We have been waiting since March 28th. They said I could pick out something else while they had the wear house man move the floor model to the back room. I saw that table with a 50% discount tag on it. They tried to play it off.

American Signature Furniture missing parts

I purchased a set of bunk beds this past Saturday May 7th 2011 and made arrangements to come and pick up on Wednesday May 11th. We got the bed here only to find that some of the pieces were missing. We called and they said they would look for them and call us back. 24 hrs later no call back. I called several times and each associate claimed to be unaware of the situation each time and assured me that I would recieve a call back (run-around). Never received one finally spoke with the warehouse mgr., Mr.London after calling repeatedly. Most times there was no answer at all.Explained to the warehouse mgr what happened he said that he was unable to locate the missing parts but could have them in store by Saturday May 14th ( a week after i bought them). I asked would he be able to send someone to put the bed together and he said only if I would pay half the cost of delivery ($65). I have already picked up the bed i explained and why would I have to pay when I am the one inconvenienced. He stated that I should have paid for them to deliver in the 1st place as if the situation was my fault. I am on my way to take the bed back today and redeem my $400. I will never recommend or support American Signature Furniture for anything!

American Signature Furniture poor service

BEWARE - THEY SELL THE FURNITURE YOU ORDERD AND PAID FOR. They can take the order, take your money, but can't hold on to your furniture. I ordered a cocktail and end table in early March. The cocktail table was available immediately but the end table was due in on March 23. They delivered the cocktail table. I knew I would be out of town for the Mar 24 deliverey so I called my salesman and he said he would hold the table until I returned. I also spoke with a representative on the 23rd and she confirmed the hold. I returned on Apr 4, called for delivery and THEY HAD SOLD MY TABLE. I now have to wait until Apr 27 for the next shipment. Don't miss your delivery date.

American Signature Furniture false advertisement, very poor cs

I came in the store on Saturday, April 9, 2011 to pick up furniture, and it wasn't in stock, which was fine, so my fiance' though wasn't happy that he had to wait until Tuesday to get his Furniture, so I came back later that day because he wanted his money back, so I went in again, I had a circular and saw a two piece sectional for $599, so I went into the store to pick out my color because I knew it had to be ordered, so I saw a sectional on the floor that was on the floor priced at $599 and no other tag on it, the cashier's sent me back to get SKU # and then when I came in to pick up the state it's only a sofa,

American Signature Furniture product delivery

I went in to American Signature furniture and spent hours shopping for family room furniture. The rep I worked with wrote down items, check to see if they were in stock and of course I was told they had items. Only until I called I was informed that they didnt have items and wouldnt have them until a month later. Now, I have given away all my old furniture to charity and now I have no furniture and family arriving soon. Short on time it appears I must start over... Oh! not without getting my money back first... Be aware and shop with the thought you may not get what you pay for... :-(

American Signature Furniture bad service

My husband and I purchased a leather sofa and chair from American Signature in Sept. 2010. At the time of purchase we were talked into purchasing an extra warranty that cost about $150.00. We were told that the warrenty would cover rips tares to the leather.

About a month after purchase we noticed the leather on the arm of the sofa had begun to pull aprt at the seam. I called the warrenty company and they said it sound like a manufacturers deffect to them so they would not cover the repair.

We called back to the store. They told us to bring the sofa back and they would fix the problem within 72 hours. 4 days later we had to call them only to be told that someone in the repair department would call us back. This continued over the next 2 days with no call back.

I finally contacted the store manager only to be told that they could not fix my sofa. That the rip was more than 1 inch from the seam and if they did fix it it would not look very good. This was a lie because the damage was directly on the seam. When I asked if they could just replace the entire piece of leather on the arm I was told it would be to hard to match the leather so they couldn't do it.

I finally had to get my sofa and take it to another repair store to be fixed.

American Signature Furniture poor quality terrible customer service

American Signature should be forced to change their name. Literally 99% of what they sell is imported from the Far East. Cheap quality, overpriced and they do not stand behind their product. We purchased 2 leather sofas and that were represented as 100% leather. Obviously this is not true as the leather is separating from the backing and looks terrible with only moderate use. We contacted the store and customer service said "Too bad, nothing we can do. They do not make leather like they use to."

Do not do bsuiness with these folks if you want a retailer that will stand behind what they sell. There are too many other choices out there that are reputable and will stand behind their product.

American Signatures local manager, along with assistance from Corporate have resolved our complaint to our satisfaction. When they did their research they fouhnd that there had been several problems with the leather set we purchased. They offered a 50% refund to be applied to a new sofa. This was fair as the sofa was 4 years old.

American Signature Furniture defective furniture

I have to prefice this with the fact that we are in our 50's and have no children and the furniture we have we are very gentle with and take very, very good care of...with that in mind...We shopped and shopped for furniture for two months and decided on quite a few pieces at American Signature in Plymouth Meeting, Pa. We had chosen a sofa, a chaise lounge, a living room chair and an ottoman which were very attractive on the showroom floor. We made the purchase and then the problems began and have been on-going for three months! First, we were told they could only deliver the sofa and the other pieces were on back order - ready in two weeks - yet we were being billed from day one. When the chaise arrived we tried sitting in it for a day or two and it seemed the back had no support. We called and they sent out a "furniture technician" who found that the piece had probably been dropped because the back support was cracked in half. We returned that for a credit, yet still charged the delivery fee for it. Next, the chair we ordered ended up being a floor model that had scratches and dirt marks all over it, returned that, but still they charged the delivery fee. Next, the top of the ottoman's upholstery started to come loose from the piece and now the sofa arms are creaking and every time you move or sit on the sofa it cracks and cracks. I just called again and the "furniture technician" is coming out in a week. This is absolutely ridiculous! Why should anyone be paying over $1500 for furniture and every piece that is delivered is damaged or defective and needs repair. This is worse than used furniture! It is absolute junk! I would not suggest anyone ever buy anything from American Signature - it is really made of crap pieces of wood and materials that are just nothing but junk. They seem to make the money in their delivery fees! Ridiculous!

I completely agree that the quality is non-existent and used furniture would be better quality than what American Signature sells. I am experiencing the same type of issue with my furniture. We spent $2700 on our leather furniture. It's been about 2 months and the sofa and matching chair are completely creaking and sounds like they are about to fall apart. I am afraid to sit on either piece while holding my baby and between the 2 of us we only weigh 160 pounds. I just had the "repair people" out to my house today to pick up the couch. As soon as they touched it they admitted the major board in the back of the couch shifted and was probably causing all the creaking sounds. This was after the "technician" who came a week earlier told me "this is a good piece of furniture. You don't have any major problems here." Luckily I thought he was full of it and insisted on the sofa being repaired. Once the couch comes back I am sending the chair to the repair factory. The entire back of the chair moves and creaks if I just barely touch it. And when I sit on the chair I hear all sorts of noises. It's very depressing. I really want a refund so we can go to a real furniture store and start over but apparently that's not an option. Instead we need to get the garbage furniture repaired. I am sure it will come back with outstanding issues.
