My wife recently visited an American Laser Centers location in Skokie, IL.

The American Laser "clinic" manager, Ms.Elizabeth Mazurek, opened up a GE CareCredit card acount in her name without explaining that she was opening a credit account in my name. She claimed she was just doing a credit check. The paperwork did not appear to explicitly indicate that a credit line was being opened either. When I found a credit card had been issued in her name without her explicit consent, and that $4500+ had been charged to that credit line, we became very uncomfortable with American Laser's business practices. W e had not even seen all the awful posts and publicity that this company has generated.

We have repeatedly asked for American Laser to credit the amount and refund the money, and Elizabeth has repeatedly delayed and obfuscated. We have asked in writing to customer service and repeatedly over the phone.

My wife has not used any of American Laser's services, and wish the entire amount plus any interest to be credited immediately.

We have just written a complaint to the credit card company, GE CapitalCredit. We are also in process of filing complaints with the Illinois Attorney General, FTC, and Better Business Bureau.

Any other suggestions?

Im in for the lawsuit. Ive been dealing with these people for over 2 months now and I still haven't received my refund.
People: DO NOT GO TO ALC. Its is a guaranteed nightmare. And I have called and emailed the guy that posts here (Allen) over 5 times and he has not answered me, EVER!

I am all for a lawsuit. I have been dealing with this for 3 weeks now. New and improved customer service department my ass! I have called everyday for 7 days now and left a voicemail for Eva who is supposed to be the customer service department manager. She did not return a call until today after I had placed 10 calls to customer service this morning. Then am told that she will refund to Care Credit which has already been paid off! This is just a very bad company! I will be contacting the better business buearu as well as the attorney general and I am filing a suit in small claims court to get the other 10% from them 90% is not acceptable for my after all the headache, mistrust and non response that I have gotten from this company!

I have been having laser hair removal treatment for over a year and have never been hair free! I have been complaining since my 3rd treatment that I have not been noticing anything happening and nothing was done about it.

In the year of going to the Tukwila, WA clinic there have been several different tech's working on me. And 3 different managers that I know of. HUGE TURN OVER WITH STAFF! I felt as if I was a test subject! No one there knew what they were doign and so they just did what they thought was right.

The local office's have no authority to do anything and you get very bad treatment from both local office and so called Corporate Office.

With this many complaints and wanting money back no wonder they do not want to speak to anyone! But what are they paid for! DO YOUR JOB!

I feel that they have stolen from me and I wish I had NEVER gone here!

I am absolutly down for a law suit! Along with my brother and probably my friend. This just doesn't work! I went into ALC over a year ago. They told me, '6 painless treatments... no more hair!' I was a little iffy, the lady said, "well, let's just do a credit check to see if I was even able to apply..." This is after I told her that I'd be paying cash, which I guess she didn't believe. She came back in the room. I told her, I'd think about it. She tried to hard sell me, 'Oh, if you wait the price will change.' And, 'this is the cheapest/best' BLAHBLHABLHAABLAH... Well, I was pretty much stuck, because when she came back after my "credit check" I was already signed up with a credit line of $4, 500 Non-refundable. I did their 6 treatments. They say, well you have to have "double by-passes" OK, I did 4 double passes... I still have hair. And PAINLESS?!?! First off, it totally hurts. I wish I could attach pictures. My brother is getting his chest done, this coming from a fairly unsensitive little sister... I feel SO bad for him. His whole chest is covered in blisters. My brother is a tough guy, and he says it's the most painful thing ever. The girl doing his treatment actually stopped and said, she didn't think she should do anymore... Then the manager came in and said, "No, it's supposed to look like that.." B-L-I-S-T-E-R-S, seriously... it's supposed to look like that? Then why isn't THAT in your broucher? Never been so disappointed in my life. The WORST (over)$3, 000 I've ever spent in my life. I feel like I was 'took' like I was just part of a huge scam... it's sickening! I actually feel sick right now...
