They hire you and don't tell you that you need to out bound market you will find out once your on board and then they don't give you gas money for the3 hour drives you do putting out boxes. They also make there managers and staff work 10 to 12 hr days without BLOCKING OUT FOR LUNCHES, someone needs to call the labor department. the greenwood clinic is such a mess the clinic manager does not no how to run her clinic she is lazy comes to work late tells on her staff if they come to work late she calls the other clinics in Indianapolis and talk dog about her staff and corporate don't care as long as the clinic hit bonus she is a cry baby a fake bitch to her staff and patient she needs to get real and learn how to run her clinic and stop running to the regional every time something goes wrong she is WEEK AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. I Agree with what everyone has said to a point. I was a tech at ALC and I actually knew what I was doing because I went to school and graduated for Esthetics and knew what to look for. Once I realized and saw some of the things that were going on, I quit!

Most of the Techs there have the training to do the treatments for them to be affective. The problem is that none of them have time to do the treatments the way they need to be done nor do they have the time they need to do them. The Manager Dawn Stellabotte schedules clients appointments one after another. We didnt even have five minutes in between to sanatize let alone the hrs that most of the treatments need to be done the right way. The Manager is always suppose to be in the clinic incase of emergencies, which she never was. Most of the time there would only be one tech there for the whole morning, alone. Doesnt sound very safe, does it? Not to mention that when a new client would come in for a consult, she would put them in front of the client that already had an appointment just because she wanted their money. So, not only did she cause the techs to run really behind but she made the clients upset because they would have to wait an hr or longer to get their treatment.

Every tech that starts at ALC has a number of "supervised" treatments that have to be completed to be allowed to perform treatments on their own. Well, let me tell you. That is not the case. She would throw these girls right in and leave them alone. No wonder people were getting burned and the treatments were NOT working. None of the procedures are simple and certain settings and the way the machines are held, are what make the treatments affective. It's not entirely the techs fault that some people got burned. When you have Dawn constantly knocking on the door and telling you to hurry up it would make you a bit nervous im sure.

Not everyone is a candidate for these procedures. Though ALC doesnt seem to care. We were basically told to them whatever they wanted to hear to get the sale. If anyone remembers, I was the one telling ppl not to buy another package and I was then told that if I didnt make bonus I would be fired. I pretty much was always a bit under schedule because I refused to rush the treatments and my patients actually started to see results because if they needed double passed I would do it even though their appointment was never blocked out for enough time. When clients would call to make their appointments they would ask for me and she would tell them no. What kind of place tells you that you cant request a tech? These people a lot of the time had to be naked and some of them would tell me before they left to please make sure they could be with me for the appointments. Saying that the other girls burned them. The "lead tech" in their words was the longest tech there and she had only been there for six months.

The customer service is very bad. When there was a problem for example. A client of mine was pissed that she had to wait to have her procedure because Dawn put someone ahead of her and Dawn acted like she was too busy and just ignored the lady.
An older lady with gray hair came in one day and was very upset about her treatments not working. Another tech was to do it that day and she came to get me because the lady was very upset. So, I began to talk to her and explain that it would take longer and the settings would need to be higher and double passed because there wasnt any pigment in the hair. Apparently she was also lied to. Well, after she settled I left the room for a moment came back in and read the normal questions that are asked at each visit, including medication change etc... Good thing I did becaus the tech was going to perform the hair removal and the med she was on actually would of caused her to get burned because it was photo sensative. Well, she became very angry because when she asked over the phone Dawn told her that she could get the procedure. She should of known that the medication has to be stopped up to 48hrs before to not cause burning. What kind of managers do ALC hire? Well, after myself having to keep asking Dawn to come and speak with the lady, she finally did. Then actually began to scream at the woman. It was awful. After that day I quit. I only stayed as long as I did for my clients. There is so much more that went on, I could be here for days.

I URGE EVERYONE TO PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM ALC!!!

There are other day spas in Pittsburgh that are very good at the same treatments that ALC has, They are very professional and these things WILL not happen to you. If there is any way I can be of help to anyone that is in a lawsuit against ALC please let me know.

I was an unLUCKY winner and they hustled me into buying a 5 treatment each of microdermabrasion and IPL Foto Facial package for $1900. I don't want to go into the specifics right now but I did it to treat my Enlarged Pored on my cheeks. After 2 micro's and 2 IPL's I am starting to think that it is making my skin worse.

They also hustled me into buying thier products, so they milked me for another $200+. I showed up and after the treatment was told I must purchase their "PLL (Post Laser Lotion)" and "Sunblock". I was told these two products were MANDATORY. I also bought at their recommendation the "replenishing mask" and some "Gentle cleanse face cleanser".

I was also burned on my nose and this mark looks like it may scar. I called them the day of and they said they would call the next day and I never heard from them. Its been 8 days and the scab is still their and the wound has not completely healed.

I just used the mud mask tonight and after about 10 mins I went to wash it off and it would not come off my face. I scrubbed and scrubbed (irritating my pores to the greatest extent possible) and finally got it off. It was a horrible experience and I can't believe how much of an idiot I am to have went through with this and spend all this money.

I could not find any conclusive evidence that these treatments would even work for my condition.

I am 1/2 way into the treatments. What should I do?

I paid $7, 000.00 for services with ALC, those services were laser hair removal for my full face, breasts, navel, extended brazilian and full legs. I have received treatments for over 2 years and have no result whatsoever. I now have scars from my ankles to my hims, front and back on both my legs from where I was severely burned by ALC November of 2007. It is now March of 2008 and I have no pigment where these burns occurred. I have pictures of the fresh burns as well as my legs now.

ALC is a deceiving, manipulative, malpracticing corporation. Their staff is unqualified and irresponsible. Their regional manager hung up on me. I have all the names and numbers of all the ALC people I've spoken with and am willing to share that information.

ALC needs to be put out of business for the harm they have caused to so many people that entrusted themselves to their staff and services.

I am looking for help in this and am wiling to help others as well. PLEASE feel free to contact me.

I agree that this is definitely a PERSONAL problem! You shouldn't bash the whole company just because you had an issue with just ONE clinic!

Also, did you ever attend elementary school? Did they teach you how to spell or how to begin or end a sentence? You may want to go to Amazon.com & purchase 'English Grammar for Dummies'!

Have a fabulous day!

UPDATE: 3/27/08

If "cj" was referring to me I would like it to be known that I have been to THREE of their clinics which were all three located here in Southern California.

The clinic nurse who performed on me relayed a message claiming that I already had the weird blister on my nose (Note: it took 2 1/2 weeks to heal, only laser wounds or burns cause damage to skin tissue like that). I laughed in disgust and I told the lady speaking at the other end that I don't play games. I am known by my reputation to be as honest as they come.

Personally, I am trying to keep my name from the public because its my right to privacy. If I am pushed to that point I will reveal my name as well as all those involved and locations, dates and so on.

Well I decided to cancel the IPL Foto Facial and continue with the Micro. They said it was in my contract that I could not cancel. I pleaded how the laser burned my nose and how that was documented with my doctor and I have pictures. They remained firm and said they couldn't do anything other then offer me more micro's or something sufficient. I was also given a bag full of products and was told I would not be charged for any of them nor any of the procedures I have had done to date. If that's true my balance should be still around $2100. I should also have 19 Micro treatments remaining.

I received my third micro and they day after I notice a few deep lines on my face and a purple rash on my forehead. The other two times I had this procedure these symptoms never arose. Usually day after I felt a slight burn and the PLL would calm that. This time I felt lightheaded, dehydrated, had this purple rash on my head and almost cat scratch like lines all over my face. One next to my nose and the other above my left eyebrow.

I called and reported this with the clinic. They said just to use the PLL (post laser lotion) 3 times daily and the replenishing mask at night. I also noticed a
local place next to where I get my haircut who does Micro. I called and set up an appointment for today and will see what they have to say.

I will keep you posted accordingly.

p.s. I am not the only one, just one of few who has enough courage to stand up for what's right.

Quit hating. Hating is for haters. More importantly, get out of my city... I bet you had to sign a waiver to get that surgery, because there is a risk of getting burned. Who would have thought.
75 days ago by Jacqueline [send email]
well, honestly, it sounds like more than just a risk of getting burnt if they keep getting burnt. If done properly, I've read it's pretty safe. This sounds like more than the occasional burn. Seems like a typical experience this person is having, and by the price quote I just got (3 X what another clinic is charging), I will not be visiting this clinic again. It's a shame this company cannot be more up front about their costs, but I can understand why. They aren't even competitive.
