In September of 2007 I attended a Bridal Show in which I signed up for a contest with American Laser Centers. I was notified not too long after the bridal show that I had been a "lucky winner" of a $300 gift certificate (which my friend also received and later found out that it was just a scam to get you to come in for a consultation). So I scheduled an appointment for a free consultation in Miami Beach, FL with Melissa Felices. This is where it began! I sat down with the "Office Manager", Melissa, and she talked to me about the different "special package prices" they had for brides and gave me the estimate. She originally told me it was $4000 and I had to talk to my parents about it because they were going to be paying for this as a wedding gift to me. They in return told me that we needed a day or so to think about it and I let Melissa know and she told me that she couldn't guarantee that price tomorrow because it was a price that could only be received on the day of the consultation. After pressuring me enough, lowering the price $1000, and telling me that I could cancel at any time, to just make the sale I signed the contract! What a mistake that was! The next day I was feeling a little nervous about the whole thing because this was a lot of money that my parents would be investing, so I started to research the company online. I found dozens of complaints!! I was in shock and I panicked! I was comfortable going forward with the procedures with such a disreputable company. So I contacted Melissa from ALC the Monday after (my consultation was on Friday) and I told her that I wanted a refund of my money because I was not comfortable with going forward with the procedures. She told me there was no refunds and I reminded her that on the contract it states that there is a refund but theirs a 10% fee that needs to be paid in the case of a refund. I canceled after 2 days and I had to pay these people $300 of my hard working money for nothing!! It has been 4 months and I am still fighting with them to get my refund! I have been sent to collections already and it is ruining my credit! I just submitted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and I really hope they can help! I warn you STAY AWAY from American Laser Centers!!!

I was a client of the Miami Beach location of american laser center and I do admit I went through some HORRIBLE times about one year ago when a girl who was running it, drove the place into the ground. I later stopped going to the clinic because I thought It was being run by monkeys. After a couple of months I recieved a call from the clinic asking me to please come in for my next treatment since I had not attended in so long. I came in and met the current manager Melisa and had a 2 hour conversation about how dissatisfied I was and what her plan was to make it worth staying, Ever since I find more and more improvements in this place and appreciate the efforts they made in order to answer to my distress. I did return to do my Txs and actually purchased a new package. I am so happy with the service now and the new staff and managment has really made this place a great place to consider getting treatments from I have referred a lot of people also. As to refunds, I agree that the process should be quicker and more efficient on the corporate side since the clinic employees have no answers when asked about the status or a pending complaint or refund.

Hi,

My name is Zahra and I have had a horrible and very Unprofessional service from American laser center in Bellevue in WA. The horrible service stars from the manager and continues to the treatment persons . After 10 minute that you are talking with a manager and you are making sure you are skadjalling your time with her when she is available in that day you will never get her ..! They pot me with one person and when It is time to meat that person everything will be in such a rush and such a cheep and very unprofessional behaviors, It is now twice that they have changed me with different persons with out letting me know ...I have already changed my mind about having a full laser treatment for my whole body just because of a very unprofessional and cheep service over there. When I got the deal and paid the full amount of money I made sure that I wanted to be with a same person for my whole treatment and when I asked them why do you change me with a different person and why I can't have the same person for my next ( 12 weeks ) appointment, her answer was : well we can't do that because she maybe sick in that day...!!!

A person maybe possibly can be sick only one time and not for the whole year..! I have tried to call customer service and I get an answering machine all the time and thats not professional either . I can't wait to finish my Treatment, when I remember I need to go there its like I am going to die and it is not fun for me at all. I have never experienced such a bad service here in America and It is so sad That Nobody tries to fix this problem and teach them how to smile and respect the customers...!

I initially paid $3000 for america smooth for my stomach to remove fat and smooth the skin. After 6 treatments, it was not working. The manager in Daly City was not nice. First of all, she lied to me when she hooked me in when I asked her if it was like thermage therapy which tightens the skin. She said yes and better. I went for it and signed on and paid $3000. When I started to complain, she became angry with me. Then that manager left and another one took over. I wanted my money back and she too said that the company would not return my money. My hard earned money. This treatment does not work. She said that I wasn't done and that I had to finish the treatment in order to see results. Well, she had said earlier that after two to four treatments, you can see the results. I did not and my skin did not change. I had like ten treatments left and then she said "Well, you can go to San Francisco. They have a stronger machine and works better." I did not want them to work on my stomach anymore and wanted to try my legs and buttock. After one treatment she said that I would really see the difference and that I would lose a half inch. After two treatments, nothing was happening. Then I asked her how many I had left and she said I had one left because each treatment would count as two. No one told me that. That means I would have to pay for more treatments. I asked for my money back and she said I would not get it back. She was very nasty with me. I find that the people working for this company have big egos with no professionalism and do not really care about the patients that come in. They are not kind and do not care how you feel. It is horrible. They make you feel like something is wrong with you. Once they have your money, they don't care about the results. I am now with an attorney.

I am having the worst experience with the American Laser Center in Miami on Arthur Godfrey Rd. I bought a package of Velasmooth for $2000 financed by Chase, talked into this by Melissa Felicas. After 2 treatments, i came for my 3rd a week later and noone showed up..Noone called to let me know and i drove down there for nothing. I rescheduled for the following saturday and again noone showed up or called. I decided i didnt want to have anything to do with this place due since they are so irresponsible. I saw a couple people in the waiting area during one of my cancelled sessions and they were complaining to me about the same thing, that noone shows up for their appointment or calls to tell them not to come... After 25 emails back and forth with Melissa, i STILL DONT HAVE A REFUND. She promised she would refund my money..I have emails proving all of this. its been 2 months, she tells me now that her regional manager will take care of this, i faxed the regional magager Jacqueline all of the emails and never heard anything. They dont return my calls or take care of anything. Chase has sent me bills that i owe them money plus interest. After reading all of the complaints listed here i feel so stupid for not investigating this ALC before getting involved with them. I dont know what else to do or how to get a refund and avoid bad credit for this.
