NO hair removed
Complaint Rating: 100 % with 4 votes
Company information:
American Laser Centers
Fort Worth, Texas
United States

When I went to American Laser Center in Fort Worth, TX, I was told that in 6 treatments, the hair on my upper lip would be gone. If it came back within the next two years, they said, I could return for free treatments. I've been there 7 times now, and I am still having to shave stubbles off my face every single day.

They (manager Nina) told me to take photographs of my face after 5 days of growth. She said she'd present it to the board. I called a few weeks later to check the status, and she told me that they concluded the hair on my face was "vella hair" a.k.a. baby-fine hair, and that that type of hair can't be removed.

My file was sent to customer service. So I called customer service. I waited over 11 minutes on hold before I was sent to a mailbox to leave a message.

So basically, I spent $500 to get the hair removed THAT THEY SAW BEFOREHAND. I've parted with $500 but not a single hair. How they stay in business is beyond me

There is no way to guarantee the hair will be gone. In fact, they cannot say that, so your issue is with the particular technician who told you the hair would be gone. I have done over 6 treatments on my face and the hair remains. I pan on at least 12 treatments before the hair even becomes fine, let alone removed. Please take the time to inform yourself before you sign up for anything! And laser treatments are still considered a mostly experimental procedure (any type of laser, except for eyes) which is why insurance will not cover it.
