American Freight cheap furniture but an expensive price

Over a year ago during the process of us building a house we place furniture on layaway. Never thought that I was going to deal with this mess. After paying off my furniture we set up a delivery date for everything to be delivered. On the day of delivery I just happen to call to make sure everything was a go and come to find out that they never place the right address on the sheet for the delivery guy.

Thank goodness my husband was home he had to help them take everything in because there was only one guy. why you would do delivery with one guy is beyond me. We paid $70 for the delivery should have been less since we went everything in the house. Once everything was in and set up we were pretty pleased. We bought a sofa and like seat, bed, and a dinning room table. After about a month I noticed the dinning room table begging to peal on top. Told this company, said there was nothing they could do. Call back for a second time and started to deal with Jesse he seemed to be OK. He Said would call me back after he call the manufacture to see what could be done. Weeks went by no phone call. Called back he clarifies that I need to get the same furniture that I had needed to do an even exchange. Told him there is no way that I am going to have the same furniture I want something different. He agrees to exchange for something else. Go in and pick something else out. mean time I am noticing the sign that says all returns are done by company check. When I questioned about this he tells me that they do not do returns. I start to figure this is on huge mess. We pick out what we want Jesse tells us that he will call in a couple days to set up delivery. a week and half later still no call. Call speak with one of the guys there, they have no clue what I am speaking about, Jesse is off and someone will call me back the next day Finally get the delivery set up, today they are suppose to be here between 12-4. Just felt like something was not right. So I called to see what was going on and no one had no thought about the delivery. Jesse never scheduled it. Figure that, so they have to call Jesse to find out what is going on. Now delivery is between 3-6 and I have to pay another $50 for delivery to get new stuff and for them to take what I have. the company is the worse that I have ever dealt with, Jesse just agrees with you and never does what he says. I would watch out for this place. Cheap furniture but an expensive price.. That same day delivery does nto apply with the company…

American Freight cheap products

My wife and I went to this store to purchase beds for our children. The sales person was real nice while we made the purchase, we were told it would take a week. The order was delayed! We called and was told it would be in, when it finally came we set up a delivery and was given a block of time (between 4pm-8pm). They did not arrive until after 9:30pm, our children were in bed and we told them they would have to deliver the next day. We called the manager who then became very rude to us and the sales person did not help us at all. We wanted our money back and was told we would be given a store credit of over $900.00! I did not want anything else from that place. We called corporate and spoke with another rude person. Once a sale is completed the members of this business does not care at all. I have attached a picture to show how the metal bed broke at 3 corners. As a business professor I tell my students to be cautious when dealing with them and use them as a business model of what not to do to customers. They have not cared enough to address our issue. I recommend anyone having problems with American Freight contact your local Better Business Bureau and your state's Attorney General. DO NOT SHOP AT THIS COMPANY!

American Freight got fired

I was an employee for American Freight For 9 months 8 of which I spent as a warehouse employee I worked every day wether it was on the clock or off just to show them how dedicated i was to the company I then was promoted to be a salesman I started on may 11th at the end of the month numbers were pulled month to day written business for me was above $50, 000.00 other employees including the removed and new assistant mngrs and the manager were all under $44, 000.00 the owners brother came in acting like he was a customer which I knew as soon as he walked in who it was I was infored earlier in the day by the new assistant mgr that he was stopping in that day He was very short and not talkitive about what he wanted to purchase I was in the process of getting the assistant mgr so I could turn him over to her when he walks right out of the front door before i could stop him he was gone my regional mgr pulled me aside 2.5 hours later and tells me im fired for not turning over the customer the owner steve belford has had it out for me since i started sales Im pretty sure this was a set up and so does everyone else I have never even been written up at this job except for one time i was late to work Im debating on if I should make this a legal matter or not.

Well, yeah, sure, if everyone you've told your completely one-sided version to thinks you were set up, that's pretty solid evidence. Either that, or none of them could figure out WTF this long, rambling 400-word sentence is supposed to say.

You had better hope the attorneys don't find this post; it's pretty solid evidence in their favor that you cannot communicate effectively with customers or management.

American Freight - refund policy

We went into American Freight on May 18, 2011 and picked out several items that we wanted delivered the end of June or beginning of July. The salesperson said that wasn't a problem because one of the living room sets was still on order from the manufacturer and wouldn't be there for about 2 more weeks. We never discussed that we were doing a layaway plan...

American Freight unethical business practices

On April 22nd, 2011, I complete all of my payments (totaling 213.00) that were required to obtain my furniture (American Freight stock item: Collin Futon item# 5290COCM)from their lay-a-way. On that day, the sales representative informed me there was an item in stock and I could come and pick it up the same day. When I returned, later that evening to pick up the item, one of the deliverers rolled out the furniture and prepared to load it into the vehicle. Before he could finish loading, the sales representative informed that I would not be able to take the item home because someone else paid for that exact item and there were "technically" none in stock. One of the previous employees who finalized the sale with another customer did not update the system correctly, resulting in a false expectation of their business obligation towards the consumer. Upon the information she relayed to me. I left without my purchased item. I called that same day to see if there was any alternative we could seek in order to retrieve the item from an alternate store or when an order would be placed to get the item in stock at their location. She then advised I had 30 days to wait in order to see if they would get the item on a truck delivery. I have waited 4 weeks and they have not made an attempt to call to keep me updated. I, then, visited the facility on May 4th only to find out the item was still not in stock and they had no idea when a truck would deliver. As of May 17th, I called to receive a reimbursement. The representative who answered the phone advised me that the manager will call me later. The manager never called. I called back May 18th and spoke with an assistant manager and he only advised that someone else will call me. I have not received my item nor a refund. I've been more than patience and inconvenienced due to their unethical business practices.

American Freight no furniture/waiting on check

i paid for my sofa/loveseat 2/22/10. i was never given a specific delivery date, they implied they had 4 weeks due to the contract. i call the store constantly, they hardly answered & they could never tell me when i could receive my furniture. after a month of i don't knows, & were trying to ship it from another store, i asked for a refund. they tried to convince me to find something in the store but i wanted my$1058 back. they told me they couldn't give me cash back, i am currently waiting on a check...keep me in your prayers...smh 3/21/10

American Freight non-delivery of goods

I ordered and paid for furniture from them on January 17th 2011. It is supposed to take 2 to 4 weeks for the furniture to come in but I was told the furniture was already ordered for inventory and was lead to believe it would be in sooner. As of march 14th I have not received the furniture I paid for and have not received any explanation as to why it was late. When I call, they tell me they will call me when the furniture comes on. They keep telling me it will be in the next day or the next week. One time I was on hold for 30 minutes and gave up. One time, after I wrote them on their web site, they did call and offer free warranty. They promised regular updates as to the situation but I have received not one update.

This place is a crock of SH- - I''ve been waiting since Feb of 2011 for my furniture i paid $530.00 for a chair i was told it would be in in two weeks 3, 4, 5, I kept getting the run around so i told Mike Schweizer the so called manager at the Arlington Road. store in Akron, Ohio That i may Put the money towards a sofa set i had considered as well. So the 6 week i got the call that the chair was in. Why did i find out the chair had been sold when i called to say i would be coming on that weekend . I was livid that crackpot Mike [censored]head took it upon himself to transfer the money from the chair towards the sofa set. Now same SH- - different day the run around I have contacted me an attorney.

I feel your pain but don't rush them they would delivery your purchase damaged like they did mine, and give you several reasons why they cannot return your money and then tell you that they don't know when they can replace it. "Oh yeah! and charge you and extra charge for the delivery. I plan on suing or knocking a whole in the wall with a big truck !

American Freight more than I asked for

We just received our new furniture, and noticed bumps on our family and children. . It has only been in our home for 2 days and. . . I have found bed bugs! Now i am calling the store for days and not a single answer. . . What am i supposed to do. . . We spent over 700. 00 dollars on this furniture. . . And now have a bug problem. . . They are big not little. . They did not come from our home. . We never had them before and now do. . . I have no more money to purchase new furniture. . Or the money to treat or home. . . By means of baking them to death. . .

We also have found bed bugs after buying a mattress box spring and bedroom set from the Morse road store in Columbus. Never had any kind of bug problem, we live in a home we have owned since 2004.

We purchased a bed from the clarksville tn store and same thing. Never once had them and all the sudden were killing them off day by day sleeping on the couch bit nothing works. Have yall had any luck finding a solution will American frieght?

American Freight bad customer service

The sale started off okay we put a bunkbed, mattress, and dresser in layaway for my grandson. We were to come back in two weeks to get it out but when we got there the sales person (I will not call her a lady because she was far from it) tells me that some of my things aren't in stock and would have to be ordered. I reminded her that she didn't tell me that when I placed the furniture in layaway. So she made some adjustments and I got my merchandise or so I thought. My brother was there to pick up the merchandise and deliver it to my daughter's house. Now it isn't his job to make sure that everything is on the truck it is their "employees" jobs to make sure. We get to the house and notice that all of the boxes are not there so I call and Angie (the one that "assisted" us asks me "Why didn't they put the dresser on the trailer?" now I ask you why would I know that those are her employees. So she said that she will give me a call back and let me know what was going on. For some reason this woman doesn't know how to use the phone because every time she tells me that she will call me back she doesn't. Well it took her an hour and no call so I call back she tells me that it will be delivered on Monday (at the time this was on a Saturday). Now Monday comes and I call to make sure that the dresser will be delivered and once again she tells me that she will call back and once again I have to call her an hour later (no one is that busy). So when I call back a gengleman answers the phone and he tells me that he will have her to give me a call back. That is right you guessed it she didn't call back, so I just decided to go up there and see what the problem was. When I get there she is at lunch (it is awful funny she doesn't have time to call anyone back but she can go and eat). The gentleman said he gave her the message but she has been busy (yeah right). But get this while I was in there another customer comes in and says she isn't happy because her furniture was supposed to be delivered today (actually Sunday). I just looked at her and smiled and shook my head mean while the gentleman took down my information (I gave him my cell number because I knew I wouldn't be home and the address where the dresser was to be delivered). Well I went to my daughter's house to wait on the dresser (I was at the store about 5:30pm) well 6:30pm came around and no dresser. I called and they said that it was going out on the truck as we speak. Well 7:30pm came around and still no dresser so I called again and they tell me that they have been trying to contact me and I let them know that my cell phone hasn't rung at all (come to find out they were using my home number, now didn't I say I gave my cell phone number because I wouldn't be at home). At this point I was upset to put it mildly (as I was hanging up I did say some words but not directed at the person on the phone). So I called back one more time and at this time they were about to close and guess who answers the phone Angie (oh joy). She tells me that someone told her that I cussed them out and then she tries to be a big shot and talk down to me (I'm not the one). I didn't want to argue with her so I just said let me speak to someone else because I knew if I continued talking to her it wouldn't be pretty. The gentleman was helpful until he didn't call me back like he said and when I called back they had already closed for the night. So I left a message saying just keep the dresser and I will be up there for my money. The next day (Tuesday) I called and Angie (what a day) tells me that there are no refunds and my response was I haven't even gotten the merchandise. She was trying to be nice (too late) and scheducle a delivery today. I told her that my daughter was getting out of school right now and she will be home in a few (at this time the truck hadn't even left the store). About 15-20 later the delivery guys called and said that they are on their way and I told them that my daughter is on her way. No more than 10 minutes later Angie calls and tells me that they can't wait on her because they had other deliveries (are you serious, after I waited for 3 hours for these people) so they left the dresser on the back porch. I need a number to call someone so I can report this person (Angie) not that it will do any good but if anyone is going to American Freight don't let this person wait on you. She thinks once she recieves the money she is done with you she doesn't know anything about CUSTOMER SERVICE. I've never had a problem with this company before until this weekend I can't say that I will not buy from them again but I can guarantee you that ANGIE will NEVER EVER WAIT on me AGAIN.

American Freight stay away

I recieved a phone call on 6/26/2011 at 6:21 pm from Mr.Stephen Joel Belford owner and president of American Freight.First Mr.Belford called me on his cell phone and it came thru as a private number.This was my first indicator that I was being called by a slime ball.Second he made a threat that he was going to sue me for harassment pertaining to several postings on the internet about him and his company American Freight.Third he then hung up leaving no return phone number.Another sign of a slime ball.

I returned his phone call today and contacted his office as any professional would and left my number for him to call me back.Once again he called back on a private cell phone number just like the slime ball he is. Mr.Belford is the type of individual that says everything and dosen't allow the individual at the other end of the line to say much of anything then he hangs up.From everything that I know about individuals of his mind set he suffers from wanting to be in complete control of people and having a self esteem problem.I've found this person to be rude and arrogant both of the times I have the unpleasurable experience of talking with him on the phone.

Mr.Belford assumes alot with out facts or evidence and he has just proven it by his assumption and threats to me personally because he thinks I'm the one that has posted statements about him and American Freight.

It's obvious Mr.Belford dosen't know how to do anything but threaten people when he dosen't like what they say about him. He is quick when it comes to spouting words out of his mouth but the mind dosen't seem to operate very well with his mouth otherwise he wouldn't hang the phone up on people he has called so quickly.Mr. Belford appears to be the type of individual that's assumes he can intimidate and steam roll right over people when he feels his backed into a cornor. Like a scared dog he barks loud but dosen't have the A_ _ to back it up and he knows this, that's why he barks so loud. I really feel sorry for this misguided individual and anyone that works for him let alone the public.

My personal opinion is the public and potential employee's should think twice before spending your money with this company or working for this company.

If this progresses any further than Mr.Belfords bark I will publish further what he is up to. Right now there is no telling how far Mr.Belford might take this because he sounded very mad and frustrated on the phone and *** people do *** things against people now days. This guy could be a threat to my life but only time will tell.

American Freight poor quality furniture/limited warranties

Two and a half years ago we purchased a sofa and love seat from American Freight
for the exorbitant sum of nearly $700. We were told it should easily last for 10
years or more. Hughes Furniture was the manufacturer. In two years time the springs
were falling out of the bottom of the couch and wooden slats were poking out the
back. After calling American Freight I was informed that Hughes only offers a 1-year
warranty on their furniture so basically I was out of luck. I can't imagine how
they get away with selling furniture that is such poor quality! We're practically
sitting on the floor and now have no money to replace something that we were
told would last decades.

How does American Freight stay in business by buying cheap furniture and then reselling it at outrageous costs?

American Freight damaged furniture

I purchased a dresser and mirror set from American Freight Furniture Store in Livonia MI on 8-20-10 and the GM Jeremiah told me that they had my set in Grand Rapids and that they were going to ship my order to me on Friday 8-27-10. On my delivery date I did not hear anything from the company and I called the office to see when my furniture will be delivered and Sales Guy Robert Thomas said that they never even sent in the order and they ordered a head board and dresser that was not my original order. They said that they had to re-order my purchase and it will take 3 weeks. Not only did they lie to me that they had it in stock for me to pay for the furniture they did not have any intentions on getting me my furniture on time... I was going to go to Value City because they had the same dresser set for $100 more. I waited two weeks I finally got my dresser and mirror but the delivery guy did not get to my house until 10:30 pm at night. I am a single parent that is dangerous. After the delivery guy came to the house I opened up the box and immediately noticed that there was a huge dent and crack on the front of the dresser. The delivery guy said that I would have to take that up with the manager and they will switch it out with no problems. The next day I requested to speak to the manager and he gave me the run around sent me back to the sales person and he said that it will take another two weeks to order my furniture. I was upset, I called to the store in Ann Arbor on 9-10-10 and they had the same dresser that the store clerk claimed that they did not have anywhere else. I told the sales guy that if I did not have my furniture by sat 9-11-10 I will cancel my order and get my money back. He promised me that it would be delivered on Saturday and I did not receive a call or my furniture I was highly upset. I went up there on Sunday 9-12-10 and they were closed they did not even call me to let me know the status of my furniture. After googling the company I have found a lot of websites saying that this company is a scam. I have damaged furniture that they delivered and they do not want to replace it or give me my money back.

American Freight sold furniture I already paid for

On 8/14/2010 my brother took me to this location to pick out a recliner. I picked out a nice big sturdy blue one. I dont sleep in a bed I have MS and had several surgeries so Im more comfortable sleeping semi upright. The sign says free layaway. The salesman James Entrekin said I needed to put some money down to gurantee that I would have the furniture and how much I could put down and when I could pay it off. He wanted $40 but all I had was $20 so he took that and said you now have a deposit on it. I added the 10 year scotchguard warranty to my price that raised the price an extra $29. The recliner was $298. I gave $20 and my balance was $327.44. I gave him $20 in cas he put it in an envelope with my name and receipt with a decription of the recliner and said they would take it off the sales floor and apply the scotchguard and put it in the back. James the salesman asked when we could pay it off. My brother Tim said on8/17/2010. James said the delivery fee would be $65 in cash to the delivery men on the delivery date of 8/25/2010. I was having a bad MS day on 8/17/2010 so my brother Tim went to pay off my recliner on that day in full with cash. Surprise it was still on the floor. The salesman Charles (Joe) Losey was trying to sell it that day to another family with a lower delivery fee of $50. My brother paid Charles $327.44 in cash the recliner was paid in full Charles said it would be pulled from the floor untuil my delivery date of 8/25/2010. 8/24/2010 I call to confirm my recliner is there I speak to a salesman named Doug he said yes it is the first delivery for 8/25/2010. 8/25/2010 the store opens at 12pm. I get a call around 2:30pm it's Doug he made a huge mistake my recliner which was bought and paid in full in cash that was taken off the floor was sold to a family by mistake yesterday who had a pickup truck so they did not have to use a delivery contractor. I said you stole private property from me. He said no it was in layaway and we have the right to sell layaway products. he could order me one but that would take a week. I went up there. I said if i do not see something i like I am calling the police and I am getting cash back like I gave you because you stole my property. Luckily I found something same price. I did get a better deal on the delivery fee. I said your delivery price changes daily since I cant get it for free I only feel like paying $20 for delivery. It took them until almost 10pm to deliver it. Do not buy furniture here unless you want migranes, or a possible stroke or heart attack.

American Freight rip off

We purschased a Futon for my 17 yr old son mid June, after the first week one of the legs came off. My husband put it back on, then 3 weeks later 2 more legs came off. After dealing with an *** at the store she said it was defected to bring it back, long story they would not take it because of a couple stains. My complaint is the legs wont stay on. They insulted my common sense and refused to take it back, so now I have a $250 addition to my burn pile out back. I called the corporate office who stands by there policy. So buyer beware you will get screwed on the deal if your furniture breaks for any reason. Dont buy from them spend the extra money an buy better quality.

Figure that, so they have to call Jesse to find out what is going on. Now delivery is between 3-6 and I have to pay another $50 for delivery to get new stuff and for them to take what I have. This company is the worse that I have ever dealt with, Jesse just agrees with you and never does what he says. I would watch out for this place. Cheap furniture but an expensive price.. That same day delivery does nto apply with this company...

This company is awful. I am a mother of 4. There isn't enough money to go round as it is. Then you have these rip-offs selling you cheap furniture saying things like "Oh it is very durable" "The material is kid friendly" and "If you have any problems we will fix it" it was nothing but a bunch of lies! I had bought the floor model couch because I didn't have much money. The only thing that was pointed out that was wrong was a scuff on the bottom of the couch. Within a week the seem on the arm of the chouch had come undone leaving a gaping hole in the arm and about 2 weeks after I purchased it there was another hole in the inner lining of the couch. Did I mention my kids are 4months, 2 & 3 years old? Not teen age boys jumping up and down on it. Then about a month later the rocker recliner was leaning to one side so bad that if you rocked the front and back corners of the chair hit the floor. The kids were not alowed on the rocker. And I'm a stay at home mom so I know it wasn't them. I called them and told them about the recliner which was new and had a warrenty. First they told me I would have to pay $40.00 for them to come pick up the old and bring a new one. I told them I had already paid someone before to deliver it. They said well delivery is subcontracted so I would have to pay again. I told them I didn't have the money but go ahead and order it cuz they didn't have any in stock. I will try to find a truck. When I called back to tell them I could not get a truck the told me that delivery then was gonna cost me $49.00. Of course I complained. I was also told they had another chair at another store which they would call in a week. 2 weeks past and still no call. Then I call and talk to "MIKE" the "manager" at the Port Orange FL store, he stated he was unable to assist me I would get a phone call from "Tyler" the other store "manager" in the morning. No phone call ever came so around 6pm I called Tyler. Tyler was introduced as a "salesman" not a "manager". Tyler informed me they were doing inventory in FL so they were not allowed to get furniture from other stores and that I would have to call back on Tues. of next week to see if they had a date when the new truck load would be in. They stated there is 3 of the same rocker recliners new on that truck. We will see. I have tried now for 3 months to get a chair replaced that I had for only a month before it broke. Wish I would of seen their receipt first. They use phrases "American Freight makes no other warranties of any kind, whether expressed or implied" In other words WE ALLOW OUR SALESMEN AND MANAGERS TO LIE TO YOU WITH NO CONSIQUENCES AS LONG AS THEY MAKE THE SALE!

American Freight fraud

Deceptive advertisements, aggressive sales staff, rude and unprofessional. Just stay away No amount of details can say it enough. I am still waiting for my product. I don't know don't walkif it will ever come. I am considering a lawsuit. It is a scam run don't walk away.

I paid off a small sectional to b delivered. Paid the $65 delivery fee, (moraine, oh) then the so called piece of s**t delivery svc they use claims they could not get the sectional up the stairs! I really don't think they tried. The delivery svc told me to go back to store and tell them what size I needed and would not return my $65. I told salesman, they suggested a sectional I wasn't real crazy about but I wanted something. Delivery guy told me this couch was worse than the first size wise. The delivery guy Brian (1st time delivery) is yelling at me over the phone saying I should know what size my hallway is? Huh? Hav received a small part of my refund, hav been waiting on the rest for 2 weeks now so we ll c...

I would never recommend this place ever. I purchased and paid in full furniture on 2/20/2014 was told it would be in no later than 3/3/2014. it has never showed up at there warehouse and they have no idea when it will come.It is now 3/19/2014 and still nothing. i will be going to the store to get a full refund ..but as they are very rude and careless about your problems. my next stop will be at my lawyers and to the clerk of courts to fill against them...all they do is sell item that they say are discontinued sets. but then call up to NC and have it made...BS...I sold my furniture with there word that it would be here and no sit in a house with nothing...I hand purchased living room furniture and also have 3 kids...this place is nothing but a joke, , , , DO NOT BUY FROM THEM...NOT WORTH IT,

American Freight liars

OHG, this place has great deals, but their customer service is awful! It took us 4 weeks to get all of our $3000 forth of furniture that we bought from them! Finally after 2 weeks of waiting for 3 pieces they got new management! Reallllllyyyy, it took that long for someone to realize that they didn't care?! I called 5x aweek asking where our "next day delivery" was, and everyday it was, " yes, I will personable put it on the truck" -----2 weeks later and 10 phone calls it arrived. Even the subcontracted moving company that delivered our furniture hated them. I am a restaurant manager at a well known restaurant and if I ever treated my customers the way they treated us...we would of been closed 2 years ago!

I purchased several products in the past from the Fuller Road location. The last time I was in there and made a purchase a man named Rob was very rude to me and made a mistaake on my order.. He smelled like marijuana and he looked and acted like he was high. Last time I do business in a place that that is operated by people under the influence. Bad experience.

American Freight unprofessional and unethical store managers

Where to begin! In good faith we purchased a bedroom set from American Freight for over $2600.00. What a mistake. It was purchased January 30th, 2010 and everyone was exceptionally nice during the purchase transaction acting like they were doing you a favor. One part of the set was missing, after we told it was all available, but we were allowed to take the floor model piece to make us whole. Great deal transaction done! Wrong! Upon getting the set home and unpacked it was noticed that the head board to the 6600 London King Bed Frame was damaged beyond any reasonable repair. Store was called and we took the headboard back to exchange it to find the unit to be exchanged with was in worse condition, after they told us over the phone they had looked at it and it was in great shape. Wasted trip! Not only wasted trip they had to "order" us a replacement (remember we bought it 1/30/10 it is now 04/07/2010) and would not allow us to leave the damaged head board there but to take it with us and use it until the "new one" came in. After a heated dispute at this point and not understanding why Juan Gonzales (Store Manager) was being so rude, confrontational, out right lying, and unprofessional that we refused to take the damaged head board with us. They were to contact us when a new one arrived. After placing 5 calls to them over approximately 70 days (2.5 months) they finally told us the head board had arrived, they had inspected it, and it was in great shape and ready to be picked up. Eurica! Not! Upon arriving they only had the floor model (of which was damaged at the time we first reported ours damaged - we checked) and the one we had returned 2.5 months ago. There was no head board at least not any in "great condition"! We were told at that time again to take our original back home and use it until they could provide a replacement. Are you kidding me! Who does business like this today and survives! I will never purchase another thing from them and will do my best to ensure no one else ever does. The way the economy is today I find it hard to believe they cannot find courteous, knowledgable, ethical employees let alone store managers. There were other people in the store with us tonight that were just as unpleased and mistreated as we were. The new potential sales targets were treated well...for now. How does a business such as this survive? We have resolved to contacting TV13 On Your Side to try to make a difference and I hope you will as well! Hit them in their pocket book and I hope the store manager finds it is not his calling as his people skills...well...he doesn't have any!

I really wish that I would have read about American Freight be for I ordered my bed set, I too have become victim to the freight scam, but hind sight being 20/20, see what I need to do to rectify this problem. If anyone is ever going to by from this place, please think again because you will definitely get ripped off I ordered a bed in April and to this date no bed, they told me it would be two weeks, well it a month later and holly crap... still no bed. Will definitely put these people on blast now, how can they unless we complain we and everyone else will continue to get taken for or littl bit of hard earned money that the government allows us to have.

American Freight my order

My Complaint with American Frieght is this: This is my second purchase from them. My first purchase went well so I decided to purchase from them again. This purchase was, A twin mattress set, two end tables, one coffee table, and a lamp set. Well I made the purhcase February 18, 2017, paid in full, my order was sheduled for pick up Feb. 22. My husband and I pick up the mattress set Feb. 26, 2017 (they said the mattresses would come in first). We asked them when would the rest of our order be ready? And they told us the following week. So March 3rd, 2017 comes around and we call and they said our order was ready. We went there and they said they only had our lamps avaliable. I said to them we put our order in Feb 18, 2017, why didn't it just all come together today(March 3rd)? They said that they had their orders crossed and they had to reorder our tables today ( March 3rd 2017) and that the manufacters were behind on their orders. In his explaining this to me, he was nasty and rude, as if it were my fault. I said okay, (very upset by now) my husband said you know things like this happens, lets just wait a week and see if it comes in then. I said okay. I need to add that we only paid $103.88 for the table set. I have called them over and over and over again, and they've told me that it's the manufacter, there's nothing they can do about it and that when it comes in they will call me. I've called them continously day after day with them telling me, well your order was only a little over a hundred dollars, or there are others who are waiting on there furniture and it's out of our hands. Today is March 30, 2017 and they told me to call today because my order would be in. Guess what it's not in. So I called the corporate office, I did not get an answer so I left a message. I will see where this gets me.

Purchased a Sofa and Love Seat, the experience was crappy. I would pay two (2) times more from another store to avoid the experience with this bunch of scam artists.

Paid for the Living room set and Coffee/ end table group together. When arrived to pick up they said they did not have in the warehouse and would be in on monday or tuesday. When we paid for the group told the salesman that they were a wedding gift for my daughter and that her husband was in the Air Force and is moving to California. They said they would hold the stuff for me till I picked it up so we could get it in their scheduled (by the Air Force ) move to CA. When we arrived to pick up items they said they did not have any of it in stock and could not refund our money and would have to pick something else from their in stock items. They had the items on the floor and would not let us take those items instead.
WILL NOT BUY FROM THERE AGAIN AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE ELSE STEP FOOT IN THE WAREHOUSE UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET RIPPED OFF!

BUYER BEWARE! SALESMEN MUST BE TAUGHT TO ATTEMPT TO BAIT & SWITCH!
After waiting over 4 weeks for a dinette set that was to be in within 10 days (and paying a 50% deposit just to "secure my order"), I decided to look at the local BBB website and saw that there were over 400 complaints within a 36 month period chainwide. That's when I knew I was going to have a problem.

Was guaranteed that the set would be in on a specific day, went to finish paying so that I could finally have a dinette set after 5 weeks and shocking, the truck had broke down in transit, so no dinette set. Told them I wanted to cancel the order and requested a refund and they said they could not do that. In process of disputing with the credit card company's assistance. Will never attempt to do business again with this company. I expect that with their reputation, they won't be in business long.

They have been in business 16years and have a B rating with the BBB higher than Ashley and Bassett
they have a 99.9 % customer satisfaction rate the company has over 40 locations. Your numbers are wrong and you sound like a competitor.

American Freight furniture/rocker-recliner

We bought a whole front room full of furniture just over a year ago. About 3 months ago the arm of one of the rocker recliners broke. We took the chair back as it was our understanding that it had a life time warranty. But in talking with the manager, we were rudely told that I should never have leaned on the arms of the chair to get out of the chair. That it was only CARDBOARD!. And that it was not covered under the warranty.
If we had been told that there was only cardboard in the arms of the chair we would NEVER had bought it. We were told that everything but stuffing and cloth was covered by the warranty. It's not like we abused the chair..we are not obese or rough on the furniture..no kids at home either.
The manager was VERY rude and told us he would do nothing for us.
POOR quality furniture...
LIED to when told about he warranty.
HORRIBLE customer service. The manager was VERY rude.
Want to warn customers NEVER to buy from them!
