Amazon review: Prime membership and shipping 97

I order lots to books and dvds. I thought an Amazon Prime membership would benefit me. Amazon Prime promises 2 day service, but that may be for the first few orders. After a few orders, it was all downhill. I wanted 2 day delivery. Instead, it has been a major headache. After a few on time deliveries, Amazon decided to push me to the back of the shipping line by have DHL give my packages to the U.S. Postal service. I complained, but they seemed unconcerned about the delay. Now, I have dvds that are lost somewhere and instead of a quick replacement, I am being lied to and given the brush-off.

I never order Amazon Prime but you continue to take it out of account. Replace the money and stop trying to commit fraud, which is exactly what this is. Stop now and replace my money.

I have been buying from Amazon since they first opened their bookstore.
I've recently spent over $800 there, and have encountered numerous problems. Unhappily, this convenient place to shop has grown too large, and its third party affiliates brings crooks and dishonest dealers in to the picture.

I ordered a wound kit from them, and it never arrived. I called and was sent the item called by Amazon a "replacement". An e-mail was sent demanding that the first item be returned. How can I return an item I never received? Their only solution was to credit my credit card. I'm still waiting.

Second incident was one of their recent and common mistakes - the order has been doubled, and then you need to convince them to take it back, pay the return mail and other hassles.
Other sites such as Yelp don't dare publish a bad word about them.
Count me out. This is too much bother for a few dollars cheaper.

Amazon charged illigally (or rather stole) my $53.20 on September 17, the fisrt day of my credit card billing cycle for last month. Amazon was smart to do so because the victim I would only get a chance to know that my money has been stolen after one whole month when I receive my credit card bill.

I ordered items from Amazon in April and then in October. However, I didn't buy anything at Amazon.com from May to Septemter. It is wierd for Amazon to start charging/stealing money from me on Septerber 17, which is only special in that this day is the first day of my credit card billing cycle of for previous month! Some bad guys in Amazon intended/determined to steal.

I have been a long term Amazon customer with many items purchased over the years with no problems. Just over a week ago I received a gift sent to me that included a single Love-Rat from the pair that is offered on Amazon. Expecting a quick and easy solution (i.e. them sending the missing toy rat) I first emailed and then called customer support when more information was requested. What I experienced on the phone today from Amazon really was a surprise to me - they kept demanding details of the sender I didn't know, and then said I would have to arrange to return the rat I received and then (maybe) the sender would receive a refund. There's no way I am going to go through the trouble and send my one rat back to these people, who knows what they have in store for it?

I can't believe a company is willing to lose a long-term customer by refusing to send the missing item and their attitude on the help line was some of the worst I have ever experienced. Amazon is quick and convenient until there's a problem - then they are snide, rude and accusatory. Do they really think I'm trying to scam them out of a $4 plastic rat? Unbelievable.

I have been buying from Amazon since 1999 without any problems, but in the last year or so I have noticed their shipping has really slowed down.

Today was the last straw for me. I placed an order for three items on Dec 4th, one was a book that was a pre-order and was to be released on Dec 12th. Because of that, I did not choose super saving shipping because I wanted the other two items to ship right away to make sure I had them in time for Christmas, so I paid for the shipping option. My confirmation states that the two items besides the book would ship on Dec 5th. Today, I noticed my credit card still hadn't been charged so I checked my account online to see if they'd shipped, well the shipping info had been updated and showed they were waiting to ship all items together and they would ship on Dec 18th, it even said in my account that the items would not arrive before Christmas. So I sent them an email asking why this had been changed, and let them know I was upset since they never bothered to notify me that my items would not arrive before Christmas, even though I had paid extra for them to ship earlier. There response was, "Sorry you didn't understand the shipping times when you ordered the items. Our site currently states the one item will ship in 4 to 6 weeks" so there is nothing they can do. The site clearly did not state that when I ordered it and I have a confirmation stating differently. I was bothered they didn't notify me of the change, since it was pretty significant. I am cancelling my order and am getting the items from another site which can deliver before Christmas.

I purchase a leaf blower from Amazon because I was told they have great customer service, in case of troubles. Iused this Husqarvna blower 5 times and stops after 5-7 minutes of use, then will NOT restart without starting spray. They stated item was purchased out of date and no help, other than greatly reduced $.

I will make future purchases from brick/beam stores that will stand behind what they sell. I did think highly of this business and even purchased stock for this company. I will be unloading my stock and doing no added business with them.

I hope this review helps anyone trying to make it thru this tuff world and purchase from any company that cares about you.

I purchased an item 2 weeks ago, 9 days later the price goes down so I contacted them to request an adjustment, they refused. The only recourse I had was to unwrap the Christmas presents, repackage them and return them for a refund. Then I could repurchase the exact items at the lower price, less the shipping cost of returning them of course. They would also take 2-3 weeks to process the refund, tying up my $640 during the Christmas season. I should have investigated before I purchased, nowhere on their site do they mention price guarantees, so I guess it is Caveat Emptor on me, but still a very frustrating situation.

I placed an order with Amazon.com on May 24th. My estimated delivery dates were May 30 to June 1st. I was also given a tracking number.

When my items did not arrive by June 1st, I went into my email and tried to use the tracking number that Amazon.com gave me. Well packages sent by USPS cannot be tracked, so why do I have a tracking number?

I called Amazon.com and spoke with a representative who was absolutely NO help what so ever. It was a waste of time. He did know how to give excuses.

Here is what Amazon had to say:

It's been our experience that the majority of late packages arrive just a day or two after the estimated delivery date. Therefore, we would like to ask that you wait until close of business on June 6, 2017 for this shipment to arrive.

I guess Amazon.com can't count either.

This is the second order in a row to be arriving late. My last order took a detour and was headed in the wrong direction. I called Amazon.com and they did not care. I guess they didn't think I knew where I lived. I kept trying to tell them that my order was going way off course, but they did nothing to correct the problem.

I finally emailed UPS and informed them that my package was headed in the wrong direction. Surprisingly, UPS admitted they made a big mistake and corrected the situation and got my package to me in record time. If they hadn't listened, I don't know where my order would have ended up.

I was very disappointed in Amazon.com for not doing anything to correct the problem. All they cared about was the fact that they had gotten their money.

I am now done with Amazon.com. Their prices on some things may be cheaper, but it isn't worth the lousy customer service and aggravation.

I placed order on October 18th and after 6 days I got an email from Amzaon mentioning that the order is delayed. When I placed the order the item was showing "In Stock". Now my order will be delivered on November 5th. I called Amazon customer service line and twice hung up upon. Third time, I spoke to Michelle, Supervisor, and she mentioned I cannot cancel the order and order will come by Nov 5 - Nov 12th. I feel like hostage at this time as I wanted camera by certain time. I can not buy it from other place and will have to be at mercy of Amazon to deliver product when it gets here. Amazon still shows that this item is IN STOCK with green light.

I purchased a laptop on 01.05.09, the money was instantly taken from my account and the laptop was despatched, the estimated delivery date was 13.05.09.

By 18.05.09 the laptop had still not arrived so I contacted them, who advised me the laptop was still in transit.
The next day I recieved saying I had been given a refund that would take 10 working days to process, and the address was undeliverable - no explanation provided.

I then called customer services who said the only thing he could do was get the courier to ring me to explain why it couldn't be delivered.

DHL have delivered numerous packages to this address so I do not understand why this has not been possible yet. All I have achieved form this transaction is a bank balance deficit of £400 in my account for 30 days.

I fell this is absolutely disgraceful customer service.

It's easy to get lured in by the cheap prices for new hard cover books. But I feel they have gone too far. I mean, you can buy anything from baby wipes to a tire iron. Why does it need to be so big?

And when I had a problem with a merchant who overcharged me (some sort of clerical error on THEIR part) over 8 times what I was quoted to pay it took me nearly 3 months to clear it up. There is no phone number to call and talk to a live human being and I had to send email after email to try to clear it up. It was ridiculous.

But let's focus on their book review section for a moment: I really hated a book and gave it one star. The author harassed me using various aliases and, then worst of all, got Amazon.com to pull me one star review AND I was accused of hectoring this author. All because this one little crybaby (named Paul Cohn...look it up...I kid you not) complained. And what I found especially fascinating about this particular author is that besides writing total crap "novels" he attacked everyone who gave his book anything less than 5 stars and ALL of his 5 star reviews were from "people" who had never written another book review in their LIFE! I mean... it wasn't a best seller... it maybe sold 20 or 30 copies and it has about 10 5 star reviews that these reviewers have NEVER written another single book review.

I mean, if that doesn't reek or sound of fish, I don't know what does. And Amazon comes down on me? well, that's just crazy. I say skip Amazon.com and buy local (even though I do live in Seattle, so Amazon is local for me)...because there are so many other book stores who deserve your business.

And don't even get me started on their secondary market. I recently purchased a book that was said to be in "like new" condition. When I got it the cover was torn, there was a red wine (I hope it was red wine) stain on it and worse of all! Some passages in the book were underlined in pen! So I complained 3 weeks ago and they said they would refund my money...but have they? ope. And I'll bet you anything it will take between 10-15 emails to get them to honor their money back guarantee. That was 3 weeks ago, and I have not received an email saying that my money was refunded.

I would say this is the ONLY time I would ever say: Set fire to Amazon! (because I associate that name with a particular rain forest that is in peril).

Plain and simple: they suck...long, hard and completely.

I bought two items on Amazon.om through third party vendors. I choose to use my american express points for payment. I had enough points to pay for my purchases, my transaction was accepted and order confirmed. Behind the scene, Amazon changed my payment method from amex points to am ex itself, I did not approve the change amazon made. Upon reviewing my am ex bill, i noticed the changes, called Amazon, they said i used third party vendor and am ex points not allowed with third party vendor. My complaint was forwarded and I was to be contacted in 24 hours, no call. Contacted Amazon again, they told me it's my problem not theirs and I should contact the third party vendor if they will accept am ex points. Amazon is deceiving their customers, this is bait and switch. I would not have purchased those items if I knew I could not use my am ex points. This is deceptive advertising, and also Amazon changed my payment method without my permission, it is wrong.

Ordered the book above on 16 may 2017 but Amazon can't get it from the publishers and have no date now for delivery. They just string me along! Why advertise it then for sale? My eleven year old son is not impressed. Moreover I thought it was illegal to advertise products that are not available on the market? Misrepresentation? Sales Fraud?

I sold a college textbook through Amazon.com. A nice college girl from the east coast contacted me through Amazon. I told her what the book was...a student copy placed in a 3 ring binder but complete. She makes her payment. I send the book. I feel that it didnt get there in time for the start of her class so she complains the book is not as advertised. I just used it in a class. Amazon tells me to refund the money within 10 days. No I am out the book and the postage!
I called them and they were rude about how I misrepresented myself and its my problem. They actually take the side of the buyer and have no protection for the seller. Do not use them!

I ordered an mp3 player on dec 29….attempted to contact the seller several days later but he was not available via his email. i tried three different times to unsuccessfully contact the seller. i informed amazon.com of the problems. they told me i could do nothing until 30 days after the ordered had been placed. even though i knew by now the seller was a thief. i waited until the 30th and filed a complaint to have my money refunded and i was told it may be refunded by feb 10…..it takes amazon.com 42 days to maybe refund my money for a product i do not have and will never have. this is plain bs on the part of amazon.

I listed a small digital camera for sale and included a Flickr jpg link so that buyers might see the item for themselves. The next day I get a notice from Amazon that they cancelled my listing, threatened to suspend my account (!) and then accused me of "direct[ing] buyers or transactions away from the Amazon.com Payments system." Another example of a company getting too big and subsequently a God complex.

So I have listed contact numbers for them to help others out - at http://www.gimmesweeps.com/2017/09/24/amazon-complaints-and-contact/

I ordered a pair of shoes from an outside vendor on Amazon. On Amazon they listed the item as in stock and will ship in three to four business days. I was charged and send a note saying my order was being processed. a full WEEK later I recveived another notice saying the item was no longer in stock and I would receive a refund. It took TWO WEEKS longer to get my money back. I don't know who to blame, Amazon or the vendor? Who's in charge of the way things get listed on the site? Amazon or the vendor?

Do not buy used games from amazon.com!

Many used games will not activate. The manufacturers only allow a limited number of install / activations and will not reset this for you if you purchase a used game! Amazon knows this and still sells the games. . . Intentionally cheating and robbing their customers!

I bought 4 games for my kids to play this summer. 3 out of 4 will not activate. Amazon wants me to send them back to 3 different shippers and hope for credit. I already paid as much in shipping as the used games cost. Now i must ship again? Don't be cheated. Don't buy used games from amazon!

**update**
I have just learned that they not only know about the activation problems, but they quickly remove any review or posting on their site from anyone who tries to warn others about this rip - off. Beware!

I ordered a CD from Amazon via my local music store in NZ and that was on the 15 th of October but as of the 28th of November there has been nothing, and all of Amazons replys are all "apologies" and various dates of arrival. I think its fair to say that myself and the music store who ordered it have been ripped off, i am pig-sick of their refusal to come clean and admit they have screwed up and give the music store its money back so we can re-order it from a more reliable source (the disc is not available to the public in nz for some strange reason). I want that disc i have been looking forward to getting it but now i am just very peed off.

Do not do business with Amazon.com. Once they have your credit card info they will debit your account anytime they want, then tell you afterward. It's the same as if they had come into my home and took money right out of my wallet just because they wanted it.
Here's what happened: On May 18, 2017 I returned order [protected] to Amazon.com using the e-mail return information Amazon.com provided. I have a copy of the original e-mail, the UPS tracking information, and the UPS proof of delivery. Amazon.com tried to tell me I didn’t return the order and recharged my credit card account before checking their information. I sent them all the previous information and they credited me for the return again. Now they have reached into my credit card account again and debited my account again, insisting again I haven’t returned the order. I want this company fined for internet theft, bank fraud and every other criminal offense possible. They have no right to just reach into my bank account and take what they feel, because they’re too lazy or too stupid to do the little bit of record research it takes to verify the information, I provided them, from information, they gave me. An “OOPS MY BAD” isn’t going to cut it. This is corporate greed gone way wrong. It’s not the money, it’s the principle. What’s to stop these guys from abusing everyone for whatever they want? “OOPS MY BAD” is the same weak excuse Wall Street used. I want the company sanctioned or fined, and EVERYONE RESPONSABLE fired or jailed. This is an inexcusable abuse of the internet and the banking system.

I had purchased from them for the last 12 years and had no problem. However, I recently bought an electronic item and needed it returned. Amazon sided with the seller. The seller agreed to the return, e-mailed me that it received the item back and refused to refund money. Amazon knew this, had Post Office Delivery proof, and only sent protected e-mails to the seller. When this didn't work, Amazon refused to help me.

On my own I had to find out Sellers address and phone number and contact them. They claimed I wasn't in their system at all and never heard of the company that shipped it. I told them the 3 names the Corporation was registered as being under, the two addresses, and the Presidents' name. I told them I would be contacting the State Attorney's Office for fraud, US mail order fraud, and credit card fraud, etc. They hung up on me. The next day Amazon credited my charge. I will never use Amazon again. They still allow this company to sell on their site knowing they are frauds.

During this process i was told many times i would get a phone call with a update and i was not contacted until days later. As of now i have no $ no item and amazon is trying to void a legal contract. No one will reply to any of my other email's and they are basically saying i cant do anything to bad. How long will we allow Giants to do as they please.

Seller beware! You can be scammed on amazon.com extremely easy, be out money, and lose your product.

Once you sell an item, if a buyer claims it was not in the "described" manner; they mark in it themselves, they can not only be refunded, but not have to return the item.

A college student just did this to me. Emailed me and said they bought the wrong book and wanted to return, I said sure, return the book and i'll refund your money. The seller ignore 3 emails on this, filed a claim against me claiming they I sold a book in an unadvertised condition (It was brand new, never even opened), and that I ignored their emails and refused to refund the product.

Even after I proved the person was lieing, amazon.com sided with them.

Now, I am out 50 bucks, and also have no book to sell. Fair? I think not, but that's amazon.com's "policy".

So, be careful when you sell, because amazon.com sides with buyers, even when there is proof that you were 100% truthful with everything you did. You will be out your money, and product, and be left with nothing.

To be fair, I have sold about 10 things, and this is the only "bad" deal I can talk about. However, seeing how easy it was to pull off this scam, I am very weary of listing anything else that's not worth more than a few dollars, or that I just really don't care whether I get money for or not.

Amazon.com sold me a Polar FT80 watch (paid $260) as new in Dec 2017. When I hooked it up to my computer to see my training progress, I could see dates from Beginning of 2017 (almost 3 years old). After 8 months, it stopped working. I know that these watches come with Polar 2 year warranty. I sent the watch to Polar USA for repairs and they said it is out of warranty. I told them that I bought it on amazon.com about 8 months ago. They said their records indicate that it as 3 year old used / refurbished (multiple times) before selling to me. There is no bigger ripoff than this, . I spent almost $75 to get it repaired. I have contacted amazon.com and they are saying they are investigating into this as to why this happened as if they are not aware of such lousy / cheap business tricks.
I will never buy again from them. It is safe to pay a few bucks extra and get it from reliable local stores than to trust these mean and evil online traders who just care for their bonuses and wallstreet profits.

I ordered a voice recorder and 2 books from Amazon.com and I sent it to the wrong address, so I decided that the best way to fix it was to cancel the order and reorder it with the correct address (right after I ordered them). I was able to cancel the books but I could cancel the voice recorder order (MAYBE BECAUSE IT COSTS A LOT OF MONEY compared with the books). so I emailed the company that was selling the voice recorder ( Bellwetherbooks ). Beth was the lady that answered the email and she said that the could not do anything about it. So I paid for a voice recorder, that thanks to Amazon I could not cancel the order, that was shipped somewhere I dont know and that I NEVER got. I am a good customer and I habe bought few thousands on Amazons products and I decided not to buy anymore.. NEVER!

I had a seller account with Amazon.com. Suddenly they decided to shut my seller account down with no explanation of why or how to remedy anything I may have done wrong. The worst part is that they kept my money which I earned by selling through my online account. They don't answer you they just keep sending you into their circle jerk. I would highly recommend to anyone that wants to sell products online to never use amazon to do so. You will be sorry if you do. We are still waiting for our explanation and our $2, 300. which we will probably never get from this legalized scam that sells counterfeit products under the amazon.com label.

Amazon.com book reviews are nothing but scam. They are all written by their insider editors. Just try and sell any writer's books over there, if Amazon editors do not like you, they would remove all 5 stars reviews under your book reviews. After many times of negotiation with Amazon editors, the reply is... "This is how they run their business." They have a review complain website, it is all written phony guidelines which they do not apply at all.

This is Amazon complain website: http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=14279631#reviewguidelines

But whatever falls into their guidelines, they are suppose to remove the reviews. But Amazon editors do not follow them at all. When you write to them, they would give you reply like, "We do according to our editor's discretion, not by the website on the web-page."

Imagine all these phony books reviews on Amazon.com. And if their editors do not like your books, then they will set and have their own editors to post all 'one star' worst reviews on writers books.

Many writers have great books, but Amazon editors will trash them in order to make certain of books to sell (those books probably paid the editor or something), this is their editors policy and they seems proud of it.

SHAME ON AMAZON- EDITORS, these are all true.

If you have doubts, just write to their editors and complain about one bad review, then you will get these arrogant answers from their editors.

SHAME ON AMAZON!

Buyers leave feed back who can not clearly read the comments that I leave under the item I am selling for an example they say they are missing the book when I told them I only have the tape and I am missing book then they make me look bad amazon.com refuse to remove this feedback so I look like a bad seller amazon.com is nothing but a scamming sight you will get screwed every time by selling here any buyer can lie and say anything about you and clearly get away from it Amazon had this to say when I called them (we do not give a f*** about who you can you can call the BBB.org all you want to ) as you can see they do not care about you as long as you pay them the seller fees and f*** the seller like always.

Wow! where do I start from. I placed order for 3 amazon kindle before christmas, was scheduled for delivery on dec 23 never recieved it. Reason order was cancelled. When I called up the Customer service I was baffled, they have the worst customer service I have ever come across.. they recently acquired zappos (a company and founder I have utmost respect for) and I hope they dont merge zappos customer service into themselves. I guess it is too big of a company to worry about a handful of customers.
Anyway back to my point, my order was cancelled thats fine, but why was'nt I notified. when I asked them they simply said that I cancelled it or someone who has access to my account cancelled it . I had made a new account with them and only I had the password for it. I did'nt cancel it so who could it be. Lo and behold it was Amazon who never gave me a concrete reason why the order was cancelled. When I wanted to speak to a supervisor- they would not allow me to, when I asked them for their name-they would not give, when I asked them if any supervisor could contact me they said yes - I waited for two days and had to called them back.
I was too frustrated with them so finally decided to choose the Nook of Barnes and Noble.
There is no way people like us can challenge companies like amazon but I bet there will come a time when another upcoming company will challenge them and I hope they come to this board and see the things they were doing wrong...

If you are buying a cellphone from amazon.com... just make sure they do activate your phone... else you will be ending up suffering like me... i bought a cell phone from amazon.com... they forgot to log the IMEI of my cellphone then they mailed asking for it... once i received the phone i mailed them that and also called the customer service and gave them that... they said it will take 24 - 48 hrs to get it activated i patiently waited for them... next day i received another email asking for the IMEI number again... i was so frustrated... And they also gave me a 5$ promotional certificate for their mistake which i really don't want to have it... because it make me look like a beggar... anyway hope no one else gets in same situation as me... :-(

Amazon couldn't have messed up my order any worse. I ordered five CD from them just before christmas. two sets of identical cd's arrived not the ones I ordered so then I was miffed and just re-gifted them rather than try to get a refund and pay postage and all the hassels. next I got an album
well I could scream out oof five thing ordered two were right. Since I bought it from an individule they made me go back through her. She said no problem just send it back I paid $3.50 postage to have a seven dollar iten sent to me and the post officew wanted six bucks to mail it back. I still
have the LP record and no turntable and a bad taste in my mouth from all the stomach asid that keeps churing up drom getting mad about it. tell amazon they better stop charging for postage or we will all go elsewhere. And if you hire extra help for the season better give thewm an iq test along with the drug testing requirment.

I know... my second complaint in the caterory "E-Shopping"... You would think I would have at least learned a little, but gas is so expensive and ordering things on-line is just "easier"... WRONG.
I know anyone and everyone is out to make money these days but enough is enough. I am currently trying to cancel an order I made from Amazon and their goal is to make it as difficult as possible to get ahold of anyone to request this.
Here is some information I have gathered so the you too do not waste a value day...

Amazon.com Headquarters
Address: 1200 12th Ave., Ste. 1200
Seattle, WA 98144
Phone: [protected]
Fax: [protected]
Info e-mail: in@amazon.com is no longer a working e-mail address.
(Amazon's CEO is Jeff Bezos, if you want a name to put on an e-mail or fax to this office.)

According to good sources, Amazon is no longer outsourcing much of its customer service work to http://www.isky.com/ .

Their automated help line was of no use to me...

From,
STILL TRYING TO CANCEL MY ORDER...

On 12/08/2017 I placed an order for a gift to be sent to someone and I paid by e-check. ($108.76) A few days later I was emailed that the item was out of stock and I would be issued a refund. Thats fine, well I waited one week, then two weeks and no money returned. I contacted Amazon.com being as they have this A to Z guarantee and was advised they would check into it. A week later I received an email saying the money has been sent back on the 8th. Keep in mind thats the same day I placed the order and the money was not taken out of my account until the 10th. I again emailed them and they wanted to see a copy of my bank statement, ok, I faxed it to them.

Today 1/12/2017 I received another email saying the money had been returned on the 8th. and that they has closed the claim. Well I have not received a dime of my money back and have no way to get it.

The A to Z guarantee they claim to have is worthless and Amazon.com is run by a bunch of crooks. Never ever pay for anything on Amazon.com using your bank account.

This has happened to me 2 times in less than 6 months and 2nd in a row. Last time, I ordered a third party seller book, after the delivery date, I haven't gotten any status. My credit card was charged on the date that I ordered the book. When I contacted the seller, he responded he didn't receive payment from Amazon so he was not going to send me anything. I contacted Amazon and got my order canceled.
This time, I ordered another third party seller's book. Again, no status. I sent an contact seller email thru Amazon. I haven't gotten any response. My college class starts tonight.
DON'T ORDER THIRD PARTY BOOKS IF YOU DON'T HAVE PATIENT. AND BE SURE TO FOLLOW UP BECAUSE WITH MY EXPERICE, I DONT' TRUST AMAZON NO MATTER HOW POPULAR THEY ARE.
If you order book from Amazon, seems to be ok, but you have to pay premium. I guess that is how they get the people to buy from Amazon instead of 3rd party seller.
O, need to further mention, I didn't get great responses from non-US 3rd party sellers. I dont' know why. I think Amazon is trying to protect theri own territory.

After a devastating house fire, I received a $130 Amazon gift certificate from my friends. I was too distracted to focus on it until now. Now Amazon tells me the certificate is invalid. I received no warning that this might happen and certainly not that it was imminent.

This means they have confiscated $130 from me and my friends. This is outright theft.

I should receive a reinstatement of the $130 gift certificate, or, at the very least, a refund to my friends to so generously gave me the gift certificate.

I ordered a book from Amazon.com. The book was never been received although they have charged my credit card. I contacted them and they told me to wait 1 more month. if still not received, then they will send the replacement right away.
Without my consent they try to charge my credit card 2nd time. But I have hold any charge from Amazon to my credit card account to avoid a fraud.
When I asked my they charge my credit card 2nd time, they said the first order has been refunded to my credit card account. I checked my bank, no refund at all. After 5 emails or so with different persons replied to me, now they want my credit card bank statement so they can help to contact my bank and talk to the authorised person.
I have asked them to email me the scaned copy of the postal receipt which they've never given me.
Amazon.com is a fraud. I'm so dissapointed. Is there any law to protect us from this kind of scam ?
How come this company is public listed ?

I am extremely disappointed with Amazons Seller Support and Customer service.

I sold an Lg G2X Nov 26 and received and email December 19th about Amazons A-Z Guarantee Claims that the buyer initiated because the phone is not what was stated. The buyer then began sending me emails saying how they unlock their phone because it worked be for they reached Honduras. After asking the person on exactly what questions the phone is asking them because it sound to me like they don’t know much about phones I just bought them a new unlock code out my own pocket and emailed it to them. The buyer thanked me and said the phone worked and that whole transition in emails went back and forth for 3 days because they didn’t know how to use the phone. Two days later they email me about the band width that’s noted in the phone and what they have in Honduras. I told them at that point what the band with for all networks should be politely then asked them to read the manual because it seemed like they really only had problems with their location and it was perfectly fine before they got their with their sim. Now it’s December 28th and I receive an email from Amazon saying that I am liable for the buyers refund and after emailing and calling them explaining the situation was resolved and that they should not receive a refund they said it was Amazons decision. The representative on the phone was no help for me because I am losing out on money; all they could tell me is that even though the buyer was able to get the phone working Amazon still decided with the buyer. I then asked about my phone, it was worth more then what they paid and I only sold it because I switched to Sprint, and Amazon told me they get to keep the refund and they phone and that made me so upset as the seller because what support am I getting I am losing out on new merchandise that I sold and this person had no real problem with it and still get to keep it. I think that is not only unfair but should be illegal. Amazon customer service should be more helpful to both parties, if they person really want a refund then they should assure me that I get my phone back that was newly packaged. To me that is theft and Amazon is promoting that in their A-Z guarantee service, I can see if it was a very used item but it was new and their customer service could only repeat that their decision is with the buyer. I will never use their service to sell my items again. They are very impersonal!

I made a purchase on amazon.com on their secured server and they gave / sold my credit card number to home savings mall who promptly charged me for an unauthorized membership for $14. 95. When i confronted amazon they kept dodging the issue and wouldn't help me with this. When i called home savings mall they only told me that they got my credit card number from a purchase i made online. Since i only made one purchsase that day, the guilty party is amazon (Both charges were conincidently made on november 3) . I saw an expose on the today show where these merchants (Such as amazon) sell off credit card numbers to predators for a kickback percentage of the amount the predator was charging to the unsuspecting buyer. Both amazon and home savings mall then hide in hopes that people won't scrutinize their credit card statements. I have contacted my congressman, james moran, and encourage others to contact their congressman. I'm just flabergasted that of all vendors, amazon would stoop to this level and then try to push me under the rug when i confronted them. Stay away from amazon!

Amazon.com displays and holds out a magazine for sale called "Just Bloomed" containing drawings by Boris Lopez of what appear to be nude and partially nude young girls. My client just got a 20 year prison sentence and must register as a sexual offender for the rest of his life, and that magazine was one of the collective exhibits introduced as evidence at his jury trial held April 28 through April 30, 2017 in Benton, Marshall County, KY. The case is Commonwealth of Kentucky vs. Michael C. Dumas, he will be sentenced on May 17, 2017 and we plan to appeal. But my concern here is how is it Amazon.com is allowed to make money by selling that magazine to Kentucky residents but Kentucky residents go to prison and have register as a sex offender for having that magazine in their house yet Amazon.com apparently pays no consequence for it at all? Apparently that magazine is not legal in the state of Kentucky. Why isn't there any warning about that on the Amazon. com page where the magazine is displayed? I have written a complaint to Amazon.com about it, and to the Kentucky Attorney General's office which is the very same office that prosecuted my client for having that magazine in the first place. They didn't care that it can be obtained from Amazon.com and neither did the jury or the judge, my client has to serve a long prison sentence. I asked their expert witness from the United States Secret Service how people are suppose to know that what they are getting on the internet is illegal in Kentucky and he didn't have an answer to that question and the jury convicted anyway. Amazon.com should not walk away scott free and continue to make money from selling "Just Bloomed" magazines on its site to Kentucky residents, getting away with it just because it is a big outfit doing business on the internet while my client rots in a prison cell for having it in his home along with other images on his computers. There is something wrong with that picture especially when Amazon.com could probably afford a staff of people to determine whether products it sells are legal or illegal in certain states. It does't seem fair especially when the magazine and others like it that it sells on its site (scroll down to the bottom of the Amazon.com page that has the "Just Bloomed" magazine for sale, you will see several more like it) constitute "Matter Portraying Sexual Performance by a Minor" in Kentucky then it seems to me that whoever is making decisions what items to hold out for sale at Amazon.com should be charged with "Distributing Matter Portraying Sexual Performance by a Minor", a class D felony, every time it sells a "Just Bloomed" magazine and magazines like it to a Kentucky resident, especially where there is not a conspicuous warning to consumers that buying that possessing or distributing that item in Kentucky may result in criminal prosecution, a prison sentence and mandatory sexual offender treatment and registration. Sounds like a bitter pill to swallow but I know for a fact my client is sitting in a jail cell right as I write this having to swallow it and on his behalf I know I can say if you live in Kentucky DO NOT buy "Just Bloomed" Magazine containing drawings by Boris Lopez because you will surely get convicted of a felony and go to prison for it in Kentucky.
