Allsopp & Allsopp Sales progression team - jess "head of sales" and lucy in sales progression team in dubai - uae

I am reporting Violation of consumer rights and breach of of UAE bank rules regarding the sales progression team in AllSopp Broker in Dubai - UAE.

They took sales progression fees from the seller and from me. (Side Note: None of the other major brokers in Dubai get sales progression fees from sellers). The agent who was dealing with was Dan North was great. Once our case went to sales progression team. Lucy was asked to work with us. She was incompetent, rude. Never available for calls. She gave false information to me and the seller. She did not know the process of the mortgage in the bank. Her mistakes caused me to take so many days off to travel between banks and parties to fix the mistakes on the managers cheque and the seller had to go the HQ of the bank to write a handwritten letter to allow my mortgage gets to approval process because the Down-payment should have been in the name of the seller and instead it was broken down into other categories. She gave false information to the seller regarding his power of attorney paperwork and the seller has to repeat the process of Emaar registration again. Lucy left on Annual leave, no handover was done , no calls, from May 26 till June 12, despite several complaints to AllSopp management, no one replied to us. On 12 June Seller and me were asked to to the trustee office by the bank, AllSopp did not even know about the appointment because the sales progression team did not even care to follow up on our case. At the trustee office we were about to go to the room to complete the transfer, CF had to be submitted by Dan North, Dan did not pick up my calls. Lucy did not pick up my calls. Seller called Dan and Lucy and after several calls, I got a note that seller and me both had to pay full sales progression fees in order for them to submit the CF to trustee office. I explained to Lucy that my security cheques are in their HQs and I want to have a meeting in their HQ with the seller and we both need someone to review our case and compensate us for all the troubles and mistakes and they can not take this money by force from us since they did not complete their obligations of actually doing the sales progression part. Lucy was extremely rude and she did not even apologise and said it is not her problem that no one did not look after us when she was on annual leave and we need to pay. I reached out to Jess - Head of Sales - she said she will address the issue and 2 days has passed after this terrible experience in the trustee office and no email ,apology or acknowledgement has come to me or to the seller from the sales progression team. There are several breach of conduct here displayed by the sales progression team that seller and me as the buyer are taking our case to the authorities in the land department and the department of consumer rights in Dubai - UAE. 1- Providing false information to the seller 2- Immoral behavior towards consumers that completed their duties 3- Not meeting the deadline of the purchase 4- Financial damages to the seller, he had to fly his mother from Canada over 2 days because the mortgage cheque was issued in her name and not in his name despite several requests to AllSopp to make sure the power of attorney is in motion and the cheque is issued to him and not his mother. Financial damages to me as the buyer, where I had to fix every mistakes and take over the case and chase and follow up and get it to the finish line and being treated with no respect and accountability by the sales progression team. 5- Lack of compliance with bank procedures in Dubai - UAE 6 - Violation of consumer rights in Dubai - UAE

Desired outcome: Review of the case at depth, Apology and compensation to me as the buyer and the seller for the emotional and financial damages that sales progression team has caused to us and disrespecting us as clients.

Horrible experience with this agency ALSOP AND ALSOP. They do not care about their customers at all, once they get their cut nothing else matters to them.

From the start, the initial agent I dealt with was very prompt and proactive. The moment he handed the deal over to the sales officer Chloe, everything went downhill from there. She hardly communicated, almost everything involved in the process I learnt from my mortgage officer. Thank God for that guy, he really had me involved every step of the way and took his time to explain everything to me.

After arranging everything for transfer and contacting my initial agent, I get to find out there was no NOC in place.

This was weeks after me signing my initial 10percent cheque and they knew time was of essence because I travel for work and I’m not always in Dubai.

The annoying part is they charged me almost 8K for sales progression fee which I do not even understand what that’s for; considering I had to be the one chasing them to make progress with my purchase. This 8K is an additional fee apart from the 2percent agency fee of almost 25K that they take. Took them weeks to finally arrange the NOC from the developer.

When my mortgage officer finally arranged another transfer date, this so called sales officer Chloe, was late to the appointment. She did not even have the decency to let me know she was going to be late until I messaged her then she replied saying she was running late from another appointment.

She finally shows up and did not have my initial cheque which is supposed to be returned to me.

On the day of final transfer, they had one job, that is to return my cheque they are holding and make sure all sets of keys are handed over to me but none of this was available. When the seller asked them about the set of keys she gave them, she said she did not have them and I ended up with not the full set of keys.

She then promised she’ll have the other set of keys they had and my cheque returned to me the very next day and till date I have still not received either my cheque or the set of keys in their possession. This was two months ago.

I contacted Chloe a couple more times and as usual promises but still no delivery. I honestly got tired of her and her lying behavior so I stopped asking.

During the transfer process, I witnessed other agents going out of their way to make sure their clients had a one of a kind experience by taking pictures and videos of the exchange process. I never got any of that from Chloe, instead she just said to myself and the buyer, “you can exchange the remaining cheques and keys while I draft a quick email”.

She single handedly ruined what was meant to be a joyous experience for my husband and I purchasing and owning our first property in Dubai. The unprofessional behavior and lack of concern from Alsop and Alsop is something I’ll never forget.

After I finally had the property handed over to me, the very next day they contacted me offering their services to help rent the place out if that’s what I intended to do with the place, like I will ever trust them or do any sort of business with them ever again. I will rather handover my property to a layman in the streets to manage for me than deal with the so called professionals Alsop and Alsop. They are money hungry sharks who do not care about their clients and I intend to let everyone know about this. I will never recommend them.

As at the time of writing this, I have still not received my initial deposit cheque and keys in their possession.

Allsopp & Allsopp Deposit

I used Allsopp&allsopp to rent a house in Coventry, where I was working.
As per contract, I have left the property, on December the 18th. The agency was notified, the house was cleaned and the keys were left in the household, as agreed with the agency.
After specifically asking about my deposit, I was reassured, I would get my money back, as soon as the checks would have been performed. There has been no email confirmation and despite insisting, that a member of the staff came over, in order to be handed the keys, this, was not possible.
It's been almost 2 weeks since I left the property. Noone has contacted me. I have received no updates about my deposit. Instead, I keep getting automated messages about pending payment for the month of December.
It looks like, picking up the phone, has turned into a really hard task, after my contract ended. I have sent emails to the agency and I have even left voice mails to employees . I have used the whatsup service to notify the agency of this highly unprofessional, and disturbing behaviour, but apparently they are closed until January the 4th.
Who is not closed however, are the offices in Coventry, Nuneaton and Leamington spa, but unfortunately, noone seems to be able to pick up the phone..
I am sorry to say, but, this is not the kind of customer support, I would expect, from from anyone... Let alone a letting agency that actually owes me money.
I am totally frustrated, dissapointed and angered by this sort of treatment. I do NOT recommend allsopp & allsopp . If you need to rent a house, take your business elsewhere
As for me, should there not be an immediate response and payback of my deposit, I will have to ask my lawyer to be directly involved.

This is what happened to my complaint.
This is a joke. Moments after submitting a formal complaint for not getting my deposit back, despite trying to get in contact with the agency for 2 weeks after my contract ended, cleaned the house, left the keys in the household, as agreed with the agency.
Noone seems to own the ability to pick up a phone in the entire firm... However, messages, keep getting deleted, if they don't serve the narrative.
Allsopp & Allsopp is an unprofessional, unprepared and I regret to say, suspicious company.
My experience was severely negative and this feeling is only getting worse.
I would not recommend using them and would advise to take your business elsewhere. Even 14 days AFTER I left the house, as per contract, I hope, that someone within the firm, will have the DIGNITY, to pick up the phone, reply to my email, text me on whatsup... Or even use the Mors code just to prove a point.
There is no way I am losing my money.
My lawyer will be involved, should there be no answer.

Allsopp & Allsopp !!! Fraud alert !!!

I would like to bring attention the unethical behaviour shown by Allsopp and Allsopp Agents, Managers and Directors.

I made a regrettable mistake using Allsopp and Allsopp even after reading the negative comments online, believing that this was a respectable company. They prepared a contract to rent my apartment. All appeared good until it came to providing me with my payment. I was told that I would not be able to get my money, even though the apartment was with tenant because there is a mix up with the payment. I cannot understand how there could be a mix up then I found out they took a cheque dated one year ago means it cant be banked. I am months into the rent with no money or resolution from Allsopp and Allsopp. They never answer my phone or respond to my emails and when I finally spoke to someone I was told to call the tenant its not their problem?

I continue to chase Allsopp and Allsopp regularly and without any resolution or response. My warning to anyone wishing to use ALLSOPP AND ALLSOPP is DONT! . I am in the process of raising a case against them at RERA and in Court to close this company.

These compaints are malicouse and defamatory made by another agent to embarrass the Company.. The Company has not recieved 1 complaint regarding any of the messages posted and find it very sad people stoop this low to win business..

Allsopp & Allsopp Cheating

These Guys are crooks, they called me to list my property and wanted to get extra money if they got me a higher price, i have heard they have done this many times... they over charge their buyers and sellers, without their clients knowing about it.
they are having quite a bad reputation in the market for such scams, be very wery when dealing with them.

We will never use Allsopp & Allsopp again!

The sales agent gave us false information multiple times during the sales process and kept this information out of the final contract that we signed. We missed these details as we are not lawyers and trusted this company. He tricked us in the deal. We are now stuck with a lease we never wanted. The company did everything it could to cover its ###.

They also tried to put in the final contract a fee of 10% while 5% is the Dubai standard. Luckily we caught that one.

Young ruthless British boys that will do everything it takes to make you sign and make some quick money

I find it amusing that they claim the following on their website:

"Allsopp & Allsopp are an estate agency which operates in Dubai, London and New York. The company has been formed upon the foundations of over 50 years"

This is total nonsense as they are a new company owned by 2 young crooks in their early 20's and only have ONE "scam shop" - in Dubai.
