Alliance University,Bangalore review: Irregularities in policies

The does not follow fair practices. I enquired about the PGDDM program through Mixed mode on Shiksha and I got a call from someone from the University claiming to be an employee of Shiksha and generating a lead for the University stating its one of the top rated ones on their scale and it is Shiksha's recommendation to enrol for the University.I later received a clarification mail from Shiksha.com stating that they do not solicit these kind of marketing efforts. Post this a representative quickly enrolled me and charged me 26, 000 stating that in case of cancellation 75% of the fee is refundable.When I actually changed my mind and thought of withdrawing from the course I was told that 75% of tuition fee is refundable and this was not the tuition fee that I paid.They asked me referred to the website.The same website that states that admissions to these courses are based on personal interview with Alliance representatives that never happened to me.I fail to understand that if they have clause for a refund policy and it is published on website then why was my admission not done as per the policy published on the same website.I lost my money and what upsets me more is the fact that institutions like these can cheat students in such a manner .Education is made a business by these institutes and I feel great that I got to know about them in the initial stages itself.For students aspiring to study further while they work, please do not waste your hard earned money on institutes like these.They are frauds !
