I am extremely disappointed by the service of airtel. I lost the my sim card on thursday 6th of sep. I made a complaint immediately on that day in (ARC) airtel relationship center in ghatkopar (E). They provided me the duplicate card on 10/9/2007, monday and told me that it will be activated in 4 to 5 hours. Today is thursday, still my card is not been activated. I became the customer of airtel before 20 days and i am facing this problem. Almost a week is passed from the date of my compliant than also the card is not activated. I am very very disappointed.

I lost my cell on 6th Sept 2007 so I deactivate my service with Airtel. On 21th Sept I went to Airtel malad (w) ARC to activate my service with Airtel.
Now I want new mob No. Instead of that old number so am ready to buy new sim card paying @99/-
But customer care Exc. frm Malad ARC told me that I have to pay upto Rs 5000/- if I want any specific or particular number..
Is that okkk that i have to this much???

I had got a new SIM connection based on the documents I had submitted at the ARC Ghatkopar(W). After 2 weeks , my outgoings got blocked saying ' I had not provided all the documents' . I called up 9892098920 . The person who attended my call simply asked me to visit Ghatkopar ARC and sort out the issue as he could not provide any help in this regard.
I was considerate and just asked him the contact no. at their Ghatkopar ARC and ironicaly he could not provide me the same and he said that a personal appearance has to be done.

I have just come to India from Amsterdam after a deputation there and work at Thane currently . Talking about globalization and IT India is leading in , is this the state of affairs of the infrastructure of a Pvt mobile company which compels the person to make a personal appearance , instead of sorting the matter on phone ?

Talk about developing India ??? Thats a big joke !!!!!!
