I took an Airtel pre-paid connection in June fo 2007, a budled offer for two years with Samsung mobile from Sangeetha. Ever since I tool Airtel service I have been facing problems. I think Airtel has the worst service and even worse customer care, arrigance oozes from them. My problem in the beginning was a confusion over the handset. I had bought Samsung bundled offer but CC(Customer care) kept on insisting it was LG. Then the offer (free 100 Airtel to Airtel per month) was not activated for nearly a month. My husband (who also had opted for the same service & offer) fought continuosly with CC and finallly was able to get everything sorted out. I came over from SPICE because I was experiencing severe connectivity problem with their service but their CC was EXCELLENT. I had high expectations from Airtel, However, their service is bad and their CC is HORRIBLE. This is the background.

Now for the present. My huband and I are facing connectivity problems with network. We are neither able to make calls nor receive them. We are facing this problem when calling some of Airtels numbers as well as when calling other service providers. When we tried to call CC, they are not even acknowledging the problem. They insist there is no problem with their service and that the problem lies either in handset or SIM (which ofcourse was provided by them). I tried to reason wiht them that it may not be a problem with handset as mine is SAMSUNG and my husbands is LG an that we are both facing the same kind of problem and that the SIM was provided by them. I just wanted them to stop telling me stories and tell me when the problem will be rectified as I feel crippled at times when there is dire necessity to use phone. However the CC executive said point blank that "Sorry mam that you feel we are trying to tell some storiy but there is absolutely no problem with our networ". I was so pissed off that I just hung up. My number starts with 99018, my husbands starts with 99021.

Airtel has a serious problem with their bill payment system for add-on connections. This would affect those who are making an online payment. Problem has been reported to Airtel and the ticket number Airtel has provided is: [protected]. I have also provided the payment reference number: [protected].

Whenever an add-on connection is taken, Airtel associates a second account number to the second phone number. Subsequently when a payment is made using the second account number, though the payment gets processed and debited from your account, Airtel has no clue or trace of the payment.

Additionally the bigger problem is the fact that the customer care is not ready to understand and respond to the problem. I reported the problem long back and subsequently I provided all the details they needed but no one has responded or are aware of the details I submitted.

This is such a frustrating experience and I never imagined this is the way they treat customers who are using their services for almost 7 years now.

I have been harassed by Airtel hired advocate to pay for some bill which was already in question with its department and i was been always told that they will get back to me. Instead they made him call me on my number in Australia and he threatened me for nothing.

What is my fault? My loyalty and trust in this brand for more than 9 years? I trusted this brand to solve my problem as i was being billed for something when i was not even using that number as i was here in Australia...

Nobody got back to me... but their advocate.

I am on a post paid plan of airtel where in I shud be charged Re.1 per unit(1 min) of std call and should be given 300 mins free local call from Airtel to any mobile. while the final bill came, I was charged at more than Rs.3 per unit(1 min) of STD calls and not been given the 300mins free local call from Airtel to any mobile.

I was making the calls under an assumption as, I am being charged as per my tarrif plan. and when I complained they replied callously like, even though I am under that plan, but I haven beein charged the extra Rs50 which is part of this bill plan which makes me eligible for this discounts.

I dont understand whats my fault in that.. i am subscribed to a plan and they do agree to it, but instead of an appology they are justifying it as since I am not charged the rs 50 as per my bill plan, so I was charged this extra amount. its their fault if they havent charged the correct amount and not given the proper discounts.

Airtel customer care executives are very irresponsible. These guys do not have proper information regarding any service plan. I doubt they even register any complain or any request. I am staying in sector 41A chandigarh, india. Till now i have called 12 times to Airtel customer care. Every time i am told that Airtel executive will visit my place for connection. Its going to me one month and no one has called me on my phone nor any one has visited my place.

This is really disappointing. Airtel must look for this, otherwise its useless to upgrade technology if service provided is not up to the mark.

I got a SMS from Airtel saying I can pay 234/- within 7 days to get the special offer. When I reacehed the outlet to get pre-paid charged the shop person also told me that I need to enroll to this within 7 days. Now the balance in my account says I need ot use this money within 7 days. I am lifetime customer and hardky spends 100/- Rs per onth and now how they can think I will spend 234/- per week? And also the message sent to me is misleading to customer. So I want to go to the consumer court.

The Airtel executive was supposed to collect my bill payment cheque on Friday 22 June 2007 from my office in Navi mumbai, but did not show up till Monday and as a result my cell was blocked. The executive collected the cheque on Tuesday 26 June 2007, and when enquired i was informed that my number will be re activated in 4 hours and yesterday 28 June 2007 in the morning i was informed that my cell has been activated, but till today the cell is still blocked.

Today, 29 June 2007 i mailed the customer service and was asked for the cheque details for the third time saying that the transaction is not shown in my account as yet.

I live on Palm Neach Rd, Navi Mumbai and the Airtel network is really bad. I have found one room in the house where I get
network. They keep cutting about 10 to 15rs every month for MCA service (missed call alerts). but I don't ever get MCA. I have tried switching my cell off, then calling my number from several different landlines and friends mobiles etc, but I don't get a single MCA. So why am I being charged for it without fail every month. Where does the money go?

Every time I call 121 with any of the numerous issues, the customer care puts me on hold for 2-5 minutes at a time, without
a proper request or informing that I will be on hold... after they come back on line (2-5mins later), they ask me to repeat my problem.

Hello you nincompoops at AIRTEL! ARE YOU SLEEPING AT YOUR JOB? Does AIRTEL not have any quality monitoring or TLS or managers who are actually concerned about providing service? It is hard to believe airtel can have such pathetic customer service. It is promoted by celebrities who are people of integrity, or so I'd like to believe. But does money make you promote just about anything that comes your way? And whats with the celebrities like Sachin and ShahRukh (I believe he endorses airtel too) and others who promote the damn service? Somebody should tell them they are promoting services which are incompetent... maybe they don't know...

CELEBRITIES! KINDLY CHECK THE COMPETENCY OF SERVICES/PRODUCTS YOU ENDORSE.

I called Airtel thrice today... I am able to send smses to Dubai numbers but when I try calling it comes invalid/. I called customer service to tell airtel about the problem. thrice... and all three times, the lady (3 different ones on 3 calls) heard my verification, problems, put me on hold for at least 3 minutes each... then came back asked me stupid questions like "since how long have you faced? I got pissed, and asked her why she'd kept me on hold 3 minutes only to come back and ask me such a silly question, then she said line is breaking and disconnected.

I called 2nd time, same thing... 3rd time I lost my patience, (of course all 3 times I had to go through the stupid IVR...) 3rd lady also put me on hold and then came back to ask "how long|" . I asked her what she had been doing while I was on hold, she said she had been checking my "RECORDS". I lost my temper and asked her if she had been looking at my records when I was on hold, she should know how long I have been facing the problem as I had told it to the previous person/... hummed and hawed erred and ohhhed then said that the line was breaking and then promptly disconnected the line.

Thats it, I didn't call again. I feel so angry. Strict action should be taken against these companies... I am so angry, am just typing away and I need to stop assaulting my keyboard...

ARGGGHHH!

Can the public sue the company?

One fine morning my out-going facility is cut. I recieved a voice message stating that I have to contact the customer care number 121. I heard from the customer care official that my mobile connection has been cut (without any notice) because the address verification proved me wrong. The actual fact is I had given the correct office address, I had an airtel personnel coming to my office for address verification. He had contacted my office security-person to visit me, then I recieved the information from security-person and visited the airtel-personnel for address verification. This clearly verifies the address (what other thing clearly verifies an address? do they want some angel to appear before them and testify?). Now airtel says my address will be verified again (that is after 8 days). Till then... what happens to my outgoing calls? how will I make calls? what happens to my business time? what happens to the bloody phone-rent? will that be discounted? certainly not. When I asked this same question to the airtel customer care, she says right on the face "nothing can be done!". Then what the hell kind of business they are running out there?

We got a corporate connection on Friday i.e. 18/07/2008 and i was asked to give my required docs with the amt of Rs. 250/- andi was committed that the connection will be activated within 2 hours, i did everything from my side as a part of docs and fees required to activate the connection but unfortunately Airtail failed to do the same, 2 hrs is out of question, till date i.e. 21/07/2008 the no is not activated, i also mentioned that we are in the new city so we need no urgently...apart from all these issues we could have still waited for few more hours but when we tried to call up SO CALLED customer service call center nobody was even bothered to pick up the call (SO UNPROFESSIONAL!) after many trails somebody picked up the phone when we told him for the same story he was telling us to again wait for 24 hours and he was so rude as if we were beggers and were forcing them to give us the connection(Aitel peope came to me for giving new corporate connection and not i had gone to them) when we told him to transfer the line to the manager he said the manager is not on the floor and the worst part is that he told us that you call later for further assistance and we told him that you just give us your name and employee id he is telling surely take it and very smartly in the continuation of the phone he disconnected the call ? We could have still waited but such a poor customer service...and it was so rude...we as a customer have thousands of options in the market today only it seems it was the mistake that we have choosen AIRTEL!

My mobile no. is [protected] I have been using airtel GPRS service for last more than 3 years, whenever i send sms to airtel 121 for bad connectivity they replied by sms to wait for 24 hours/48 hours etc). Due to bad connectivity and bad response by airtel people, I have requested airtel (SMS TO121to deactivate my GPRS connection on 16.06.08. They have done it immediately. HOWEVER INSTEAD OF REFUNDING UNUSED AMOUNT for remaining period they have debited my account with Rs.250/- even after deactivating the GPRS (in case of continuation of services it would be debited next month.

I am using Airtel service for last one year. I live in Pune and for last few months the network of Airtel is pathetic all around the city. Its useless and some times i have to think that in this age also Airtel cannot provide Network in a city like pune whereas all other mobile networks have much better coverage in the city. If I am calling a Airtel user the calls get connected after 3 or 4 attempts. I am highly disappointed with the network of airtel and will soon be shifting to some other provider.

I am not expecting any feedback on my complaint as this is become a habit of not entertaining complaints of the customers though we are the one paying the company for it services which I must admit are miserable.

I was a loyal customer of Airtel cellular services for over 8 years, during which I made payments religiously of sums always exceeding more than 2.5 K immediately after the bill was generated.

In March 2010, my company capped mobile usage and asked us to adhere to it. Thats when I committed a criminal mistake of tweaking with my tariff to identify a more economical avenue. To my horror, the new plan that were advised by Airtel proved more expensive than my former plan. I worked out all permutations and combinations, but Airtel's rigid plans did not offer any viable solution.

Thats when I decide to subscribe to another service provided who offered me a solution to my problem.

However, I did not relinquish my Airtel number since it was widely shared amongst peers and friend.

I migrated my services from Post paid to prepaid, while doing so I cleared my outstanding, and requested them to furnish my bill once it is generated to claim for reimbursement.

That's when all the bloody trouble started. Being the owner the number, I was aware of the average usage and the payment that I made every month, however, Airtel's customer service insisted that I pay over and above as buffer. I acknowledged and made the additional payment... This is what you get from Airtel for 8 years of LOYALTY!

When the bill was generated I noticed that Airtel owes me a certain sum that was paid in excess despite my reluctance.

It has been, god knows how many days and how many countless call to their imbecile customer service to recover the money, but to no avail!

If that wasn't enough, to add salt to my wounds, they have not delivered the bill even to this day (Nither though E mail nor through post)! I was required to furnish the bill to my company before a stipulated time to get my money back, but that never happened and I incurred losses and pay out of my pocket!

There was a time I felt proud to be affiliated to Airtel ! But today, I am glad that moved away! There is no reverence for a customer, all they want to do is milk you till you wither.

Their network is nothing to write home about and their customer service has gone to the dogs.

I feel bloody betrayed and cheated, I so want to swear at this moment! But my conscience does not permit me to do so!

Any shrewd consumer will stay away from Airtel! Believe me there are other service providers who value your association!

Airtel sucks...

I took lifetime validity card last month during my visit to India and since then I have faced most of the problems listed in this site. Apart automatic activation to some funny features such as ringtones, easy recharging (varies from state to state while roaming), airtel live, etc you get silly irritating SMS and POPups on the mobile that needs to be acknowledged. The network is also not good as claimed in there advertisement and when checked they say some work is being done and will be ok in few days and nothing happens this was noticed while roaming in India as well. One incident I would like highlight which is totally unacceptable, while in roaming in Bangalore I could not do easy recharge with any of there dealer hence went to there HO (head office) and to my surprise they first told me that they can not recharge as they have exhausted the topup limit. This can happen to an agent as his credit limit is reached, but to state HO is not clear? Finally after waiting for an hour they started accepting the recharge but I having purchased my SIM in Bombay was still facing the problem hence lodge complaint with the manager and lady requested me want value do you recharge in Bombay, since this was my first recharge I was not aware of the details. I said this being regional office you should have the details and was told that they do not have the details upon insisting to lodge a complaint they checked with customer care in bombay with no use. The complaint was lodged and till date have not received any call.

It is purely a cheating business as there is no transparency in the charges they collect. The customer care service is the worst this not because lack of efficient staff but I believe it is the COMPANY POLICY.

Airtell customer care is one of the most inefficient customer care I have ever come across. Airtel as a company does not have any respect towards there customers. They treat them as though there customers are living on companies mercy. I have a postpaid connection from past 6 years. I have been paying the bill of an average of Rs. 2,500/- every month and I have opted for ECS. Last month I forgot to keep the sufficient balance in my account and ECS got rejected. Customer care called me up and I issued the cheque immediately.

This month again, Airtel calls me up and says ECS is not clear. I check with the bank and the amount has been debited from my account. Surprising fact is, Airtel has sent the request for my previous bill as well which I have made by cheque!.

I called up to Airtel customer care and told them that the amount has been debited from my account and asked to check the same from there end. The person told me that the issue will be resolved in 24 hrs.

Within a day, i get another call from airtel customer care for the payment due! I explain them again and again to the rep. Then the calls started coming almost every day.. not one but multiple from different person. I called again to customer care and now they demand the bank statement from me. I don't understand one thing. Amount has been debited from my account means, it should be credited to aritel. Why cant they check there account and update the system.

These customer care ppl have no manners. They disconnect the call in the mid of the conversation. They have absolutely no information and just repeat the same sentence like parrots!

I have decided to disconnect from airtel! Airtel is no more good..! there customer care sucks... its not the ppl who are working there, its the company which sucks!

I had submitted all my documents to the Aundh Pune Airtel office on 19-Aug-2009. My mobile got disconnected three times mentioning that they have NOT received the documents. I had submitted ALL the documents to the Aundh Pune Airtel office and they are saying that there is no problem with the documents. I am not sure on what basis you guys disconnect the phone completely.

The lady - Kishori who is responsible for the office hides and the junior folks do give her number. the customer care is horrible. I am surprised about your MISMANAGEMNENT and the harassment that Airtel is creating.

If the Airtel office writes me back that they have LOST the documents I can submit new ones otherwise I will have to go to the media and senior folks of your incompetency and incapability.

At least for that time make my INCOMING ACTIVE.

Airtel mobile services are the most pathetic services I have ever experienced….. I have converted my corporate connection to a personal connection ([protected])in last week in June and by giving all the required documents . after confirming that all the documentation and verification is over and there will be no issues they first disconnected my number in first 3 days and then when my ex company employees spoke to to the higher authorities, the same was started again . I was very skeptical about using the same no but still I though that they have confirmed so there should be no issues in future . I also paid all the unbilled amount well in advance to avoid any surprises…. As I am traveling most of the times ….today in the afternoon again I got to know that, my cell was disconnected with out informing me ….or even sending an sms . after numerous tries I got thru the postpaid call center and they told me that the system is migrated and hence they do not have any info on my account …..i had to send some one to visit the showroom personally to check as I had no medium of communication and I get to know after 1 hr being there that thre is some issue with transfer … god know how the airtel is functioning …it is ridiculous ….if airtel customer care ppl have any answer to this then call me on [protected] or prateekagarwal@gmail.com

My self Chetan Thaker, Airtel Mobile (Gujarat) Postpaid customer from last 6 months. I had a postpaid connection with Number [protected], which later I transferred to Prepaid. By 19th August 2009, I bought a new post paid connection [protected]) from airtel mobile (Gujarat), Vadodara Alkapuri Office. Airtel office customer care executive asked me to pay Rs.500 for the deposit and asked me for the Id proof and photograph; which I provided at the same time. My mobile started working, but My International Outgoing calls were barred till the time of address verification. Later the verification was done and my International Outgoing calls were active. On date 30 August 2009, my outgoing services got barred with reference of Verification Undone ? I visited the same alkapuri, vadodara airtel office on 1st Sep 2009, 02:20:13 pm to complaint about the same and they couldn't contact their Verification persons and told me that they will not refund my money nor active my outgoing calls till they talk to the verification executives which will be around 10 minutes. I agreed to the same and given the time till 30 minutes. The executive didn't call me yet by 02:50:00 pm. I am going to register this complaint to the Consumer court of India as well as the Indian press for this sort of fraud happening with me by airtel.

Which affected my Domestic as well as International business and TIME.

My Name is Chanda Sandeep. My Mobile No:[protected]. I am Airtel customer. On 7th Aug 2007, afternoon 2.15 pm i received one message regarding VAS charges from Airtel. It specified that " Rs.1.00 is pending towards VAS charges. The same will be deducted on your next recharge". when i saw this immediately checked by balance, that showed -1.00 is main balance. Before that I have Rs.11 as actual balance. Then i was tried to cal one to my cell, then it responding " your service is are barred". No out going calls working. after 2hrs, i received same message that showing Rs.3.00 deducting. now my balance was -3.00. Totally i lost Rs.14 . I called to customer care through my friends mobile, they told that please call tomorrow. Then i called next day, i told about my problem. they gave me one complaint no:[protected] and that person told that 2day 4pm you will get your balance. But i didn't get. Today also that is 9th Aug, i called to customer care, they told that your complaint is in process, you will get your balance at 3pm. Now i am complaining about this is 3rd time. This is case of mistrust, and Airtel mobile service providers are playing with the customers trust. Trust is very important between two parties. Whether it is local service providers or government.

When you have introduced a lifetime scheme (student offer) quoting incoming call are free for lifetime. Provided you have to power your account for every 6 months.

Today also in my mobile when I dial *112# following message is displayed “ Your Service expiry date is 01/Jan/2025 and Your Airtime expiry date is 01/Jan/2025” along with hidden rider unless I go for power charging every now and then.

The dealers also says that you pay 500 bugs I will make it 6 months validity. Whom to believe? If the policy framed do not help customers then they are not polices at all. Again it is ridiculous that if you say lifetime why is that 2025 is restricted. That means I will die on 2025.

OK we agree and thinking that the scheme will be good. However, after 6 months you change your chameleon color that power validity is only for 3 months. What is the Guaranty that you will not again change to 1 month, or even less than that also.

Therefore, it is observed that you operate so flexible scheme that customer will get ultimate confusion and lodge complaint like this.

What solution lies in bringing trust in Indian Airtel Company?

Moreover, the customers are exploited in day light.

This is to let you all Know how sad AIRTEL is... Providing sad Network Coverages was an issue of mine by default but now even VALUE ADDED SERVICES. I called there Hello Tune number and was listening to various song and Pheli Nazar Mein ( RACE ) caller tune i have heard more than a Minute and i selected it as my CALLER TUNE. When i called back to my no [protected] to check back the same, strangely it played for only 20 sec as compare to normal Tring Tring of 30 sec. Ideally it wont make any sense a caller tune ringing on 20 sec. And even it was not inform to me that caller tune which i have selected will be played only 20 sec, if that would be the case i might not select that tune itself.

Its very sad from AIRTEL part, they are fooling the customers by making them hear the song more than actual seconds its going to be heard by people.

I Have purchased 2 Airtel sim's. After using 1 week, they barred all incoming outgoing calls. After that I called to customer care on 121, they told to re-submit the ID Proof to any nearest airtel office. When i went to nearest airtel office(Airtel relation ship center-Gandi Nagar, B'lore) they are not responding well. All though I have again submitted the ID proof & photos along with duly filled enrollment forms (enrollment form nos. are as follows: 8519884 & 2872132)on 26.12.09. Several request is being made to retrieve the connection but till date connection has not been started. I Have registered the complaint on 02.01.09(complaint no: [protected]) in their customer care on 121, they told the issue will resolved before 06.01.09, 3.00 pm. again i called to customer care, they ask 2 more days for resolve the issue & given new complaint no. [protected]. But today they are telling it will take 2 more days for close the complaint.

I have five connection with Airtel, two of my connection is used for my business purpose. On 23rd February, I made a request for shifting my telephone lines to a new address(within a city - Delhi), to which we were informed that it would be done with 4 working days. Its almost 10 days and there has been no action taken on the same. I was amused to find out that like any other government organization, Airtel people were least bothered to inform us that process will take longer than the committed time. Till the time we didn't called them, they were least bothered about our request. Now Airtel is becoming worst telecom provider as we had two more lines of M TNL which was duly transfered in less than ten days. I would suggest if you are going in for a private player in telecommunication thinking you are going to get a better service we would recommend to think about it.

I am thinking of disconnecting all five lines and go for Tata or Reliance, at least one can carry it if they are just shifting their base within 5 KM.

I am extremely disappointed by the service of airtel. I lost the my sim card on thursday 6th of sep. I made a complaint immediately on that day in (ARC) airtel relationship center in ghatkopar (E). They provided me the duplicate card on 10/9/2007, monday and told me that it will be activated in 4 to 5 hours. Today is thursday, still my card is not been activated. I became the customer of airtel before 20 days and i am facing this problem. Almost a week is passed from the date of my compliant than also the card is not activated. I am very very disappointed.

This is Ashish working in an MNC and recently shifted to gurgaon and after shifting i have applied for Airtel postpaid connection and it took more than 10 days to activate after running from pillar to post but that was as my organisation is having a corportate tieup with Airtel.

Now on 1st of March i have to take another postpaid for my house and still now after giving the complete documents the connection has not started working. Mr Javed who is the concerned person from whom that connection was given to me was not even picking the call and everytime if somebody picks the phone the reply is always that verification is pending and everytime i am telloing the Javed and team to send somebody for varification.

Can you please look into this and arrange to get the no activated. I am a strong consumer of Airtel and always recommend airtel to all the nears but this experience has actually taken me away and the people like javed are actually creating the nuisance for the brand...

I requested Airtel for shifting my residence phone within GUrgaon on 18th July. Today is 27th July. They have not done so. They claim that if the phone remains dead for more than four hours, they'd pay a compensation of Rs. 100/per hour! I'd be a rich man without a phone if Airtel lives up to its boast (and does not shift my phone).

Long live India Shining. Bharti (owners of Airte) is India's showpiece communication company. Can anyone forward it to Airtel, as when I wanted to complain to a supervisor, I was made to hold for over ten minutes. I lost my patience after that looong hold.

Unfortunate customer of Airtel!

Upto Jan 7th 2010, they didn't give any information from their side. I'm continuously calling to their marketing persons, Customer care executives and technical persons. they did not respoding. After 7th they informed me that, There is no availability in the area so we will refund your amount in fifteen days. How it is accessible? I'm waiting for the connection arond fifteen days. If there is no availability means then why you are getting applications and amount also transferred to your account. poor response from their side. So please kindly take actions to these kind of companies...

An airtel staff Kartik from Bangalore Benson Town took 2 applications from me for Pre-Paid connection and after 15 days both the connections got disconnected. When I contacted the Airtel staff they were very rude and said our address details are wrong. I had submitted the address proof (passport) 2 times to the dealer Keshva Enterprises and inspite of this the connection was disconnected. Both the Airtel Staff kartik and Keshava Enterprises were very rude and I have lost both the connections with Airtel cheating me with my money.

The connection i have is a prepaid. i was using gprd to browse on my phone and got deducted for some Hungama download, and was informed by sms. I checked for the download but there was no download. so i decided to actually download a game from the popup site and was charged 198 Rs.

Earlier I was charged the same for receiving an intl SMS.

Its no use calling the airtel bpo number--they put you on hold and some nasty persons come on with threatening voices.

When you switch to a plan, or add up VAS like GPRS etc to your mobile plan, how do you get to know about the plan ? Customer Service (121) right ? They tell you the plan details and you switch or upgrade to the plan...

I did the same. But when I switched from Blackberry 299 to 499 plan I was told 500 MB of data usage is free. (Which seems fine specially if they are offering unlimited data plan for 899). I switched to that plan.I would have used around 50 MB in a month and to my surprise, the bill just for the data services was whopping 17, 000 !

When I asked about the details, I was told that as per the plan, the free data usage is 500 KB not MB. This issue of Customer Service (121) misinforming the plan has been pending for 3 months now... and yesterday all my outgoing calls, sms, emails etc. got barred. I went to their BG. Road, Bangalore office (which is the head office for Karnataka) and the customer executive their told me that they can not assist me with this issue, only 121 can help. I spoke to the guy who presented himself as the head of billing team and bluntly implied by his never ending repetition of "Sir, our customer care could not have told MB instead of KB" that I am at fault here...And as per the policy they can not share the 121 call when I activated the 499 plan ! Do I have to go to a consumer court to get it resolved ? (There seems to be no responsible response from Airtel)

I am frustrated with
1. what a company - they have grown so big that they don't have the decency to attend to a customer. 1 customer falling off their service doesn't affect them...
2. Rs. 200 extra (499 plan and 299 plan) for 500 KB ! What world do we live in... what's the next ? the call charges are Rs. 16 / minute and 121 tells you 60 paisa per call ?

Customers have no power in this country what so ever ! - I know the next thing will be Airtel stouts outside my door barging in to claim their money ! (as per the horrible stories I have heard...)

My humble advice to all you consumers is, not to fall into any of the customer service executive traps, always call 121 10 times and ask about the plan from 10 people before making a decision. You never know which one of them is tell you the correct plan.

I hope someone responsible at Airtel reads this or at least, this review saves you the harassment that I am going through...
