Agoda trying to get refund.

You cannot talk to a person.
You leave all the information.
It sends you straight to voice mail.
I emailed customer support 3 times.
No ones ever contact you back.
Still waiting for refund.
Stay away no customer service. At all.
Watch the star rating on the hotels.
They said the hotel was a 3 star.
I looked at other sites.
1 star so i canceled booking.
Dirty they never clean rooms. No house keeping. Broken item all over the room. Bad reviews go on and on.

I made a booking through agoda with ID [protected]. To be safe, i had called hotel to reconfirm, but hotel told me that they did not have room. I called Agoda, but Agoda told me that booking is confirm. So i choose not to believe Agoda and stay in other hotel. I asked Agoda for refund, but Agoda refused & claim that hotel confirms my booking. Its ridiculous!

I accidentally cancelled a non refundable booking. It took 7 days for Customer Service to tell me I had to make a new booking and pay before they would re-emburse me for the first booking. It has been 5 days and they have not replied to my numerous queries. I have been probably screwed over $600. STAY AWAY from this site!

I made a booking with Agoda.com and prepaid them 100%. I got a receipt stating "confirmed and guaranteed". 5 days later they said the hotel was not available and offered me a much worse option (poor rating and further away). V poor indeed.

Agoda cheats its customers by posting attractive room rates, you book it, then they abruptly cancel it citing some error and try to direct you to one of their partner hotels. They refuse to honor the room rate and take no responsibility. This is the old bait-and-switch to lure customers then send them somewhere else.

I made a booking with Agoda for a motel in Wanganui. When I arrived the motel said they were fully booked and had told Agoda they couldn't take the booking but we were not advised. Tried to get a refund out of Agoda several times via their website contact to no avail. NEVER USE THEM.

I book Ibis hotel in Bandung for 25 MArch and pay $48.24, when I check in I saw walk in customer charge for IDR 300, 000.
I think agod lied to me about guaranteed low price . MY booking no [protected]. Hope they will refund me!

Retracting below complaint, matter resolved most helpfully. Only complaint now was that Agoda did not make it overtly clear that customers would be charged boat transfers.

Agoda charged for room that wasnt booked

recently I was charged 68.83$ aud for a room that I did not use .I tried to book this hotel room in kuala lumpur air port in march but I got a glich with your booking website and never received a conformation email we tried over the next few days to try and book this room again and could not get anyware with your web site so I gave up as I did not see any money taken from my account or see a conformatiom email I assumed that the booking was not made it was only checking my bank account I seen that I have been charged68.83$to international rozele can you please look into this and as a regular agoda useri would like to be refunded this amount thank you warren smith

Agoda last minute cancelled booking

AGODA may have the cheapest prices but surely has the cheapest service.

I have booked for my father and his friend 2 rooms using my credit card in DUBAI.

I received booking confirmation email first, then another email saying I have to verify my card and passport information to make sure it is not a fraud.

I have to upload documents to a link they sent in the email.

I have tried about 10 times in different formats (doc, jpg, bmp, pdf, ...) but their system could not take it and gives error every time I try (document should be in JPG...!). Also they told me to try different browser and smaller attachments sizes. nothing worked...

After calling their CS line, they said they only have one way to verify and no other option is possible (only upload link and no email no fax no physical address...)

They cancelled the booking the in the last day and I was left in the street with my father and his friend with the family...

Needless to say AGODA doesn't really care and no action to resolve or compensate... Their CS team is very unhelpful to say the least.

Beware and don't use unless you are looking for a troublesome vacation.

Agoda termination of booking without informing

I want to lodge a complaint on Agoda with regards to the sudden termination of my booking with Seoje guesthouse.

It's unbelievable that Agoda made no attempts to send any email on the cancellation at all.

The situation was like this:

My colleague assisted me with the booking of the accommodation in Korea which was between 27 Mar 2015 to 3 Apr 2015. When I left for Korea and reached the hotel destination, I was denied entry. Thereafter, I called Agoda on the 27 Mar 2015 and I was informed that my booking was confirmed. We had a hard time speaking to the reception as there was communication problem. In addition, the weather was freezing cold. When we managed to convey the message to the reception, we were told that the owner of the given contact number was no longer there. I then called my colleague and was told that the owner had terminated his contract with Agoda. This is utter ###!

When I called Agoda, I was informed that my booking was confirmed. You mean the officer who assisted me did not know about this termination? This is utter rubbish!

My wife and I was stuck in the cold for almost 3 hours.

I understand from my colleague that he did receive a missed call from overseas. However, if he was uncontactable, you should at least send an email to notify him.

What kind of lousy procedures do you have?

You earned my money and gave me so much inconvenience. What kind of lousy service provider is this?

This was supposed to be my honeymoon and Agoda created so much hassle and instead of honeymoon, it became bittermoon for the first day.

This is a lousy experience with Agoda.

Even though Agoda did provide me with another hotel after my colleague assisted me in the liaising with your "good" company, I demand an explanation on why I was not informed on the cancellation of my booking when I called Agoda on the 27 Mar 2015 at 11:13am. Also, why wasn't any email being send to my colleague to inform on the termination.

Agoda unauthorised credit deduction

When you book at Agoda, be very careful! Once I've made a reservation, the website gave me error and I went straight to hotel to book. Turns out Agoda already debited my credit card! When trying to reach Agoda via email and their feedback board, and email again and again, my mail has been ignored! So I was charged TWICE and 2 rooms! in a day!. Luckily the hotel MGR was willing to give me 2 days stay.
Another was just yesterday. I booked Agoda, it says there you can pay hotel as you reach. No strings attached if you choose to cancel last minute. Sounds good? Oh.. there's a disclaimer, the hotel can deduct your credit card at any time. Wow...so I choose to pay to the hotel... upon reaching the hotel at 6pm, I paid in CASH! But on checking out the counter told me Agoda had charged by credit card already (without my knowledge!) thinking that I didn't show up. So the hotel will refund me by cash. No thanks AGODA! Highly profit minded without any case for its customers. Seriously happened twice and it's scary to be associated with such shady profit oriented non customer in mind kind of company. Shady contracts and disclaimers with a lot of strings attached to make sure you lose, even if you've cancelled, and in my case, I showed up, they still deduct thinking I dind't. NO more and NO THANKS!

Agoda unsecured site

I HV booked room in hotel lalit Mumbai, when I made the payment using my credit card, without asking for OTP, payment get debited from my account, when I enquired about this to my bank, I came to know fast agora is unsecured site which can deduct the amount without asking OTP, so its risky I guess mybfriernds, next time I will think before doing any deal through agora,

I reserved a hotel in orlando for just 1 night, after making the trip and in the night whe I got there, the local hotel told me they do not have the reservation gtahotels had confirmed online to me, I have to go by car looking for a hotel with availables rooms.

After calling, gtahotels told me to put a query on the reservation I made, till now they do not refund the money.

Agoda over charged

I woud just like to warn other travellers of Agodas cancellation policy. I made a booking more than a week ago with the site, and had to cancel and change to one night. I did the adjustment within 24 hrs, expecting a small adjustment fee. However the site refused and charged me for both nights. I spoke to the hotel, as Agoda said that this was under the hotels disgresion. When I asked the hotel, they stated that it was actually Agoda who refused. I feel completey ripped off. I am now very weay of this site, and am very upset that I havent been told directly who to hold responsible for the charge. I will never stay at this hotel again or book with this site.

Agoda wrong advertising, no refund

Booking on agoda, I review following the portal advices the cancellation policy, they mention the possibility to shorter or cancel your trip, so to get a refund a part or totality of your booking. I had to book 2 rooms / 3 nights at centre point service apartment bangkok for a total amount of 700$, the same day I process my booking it was just very difficult to contact agoda other than by phone (standard in england) while I leave in asia, they finally hide themselves within the hotel policy and I paid for a service I dint use.

I relied on agoda.com to read the reviews about choosing a hotel to stay at in the Philippines. I booked two hotels. When I returned, I rated one hotel good and one hotel terrible. Agoda posted the good review and did not post the bad review.

DO NOT USE AGODA because they are dishonest.

The website agoda.com has double standard pricing for it's pricing. English language agoda.com has higher prices than Thai language agoda.com for exactly the same product. When I phoned to comlain about this they changed to the cheaper price.

Agoda they canceled my booking

Even though agoda is never my first choice while traveling, I have an active account with them with eight previous bookings. I logged into my account as usual and booked a three night stay in Bangkok. I promptly received a confirmation email and then a day later a demand email to send them a copy of my passport or they will cancel my booking. Sending a copy of my passport to a link to book a room seemed so unreasonable and as a U.S. citizen I had never had to do such a thing in the past. I took the time to call customer service, but they were unable to explain the reason for such action. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was put on hold for twenty minutes with music in the background and then was disconnected. I was baffled and astonished by their total disregard to my presence as a long term customer with good standing credentials. A followup email from them confirming their demand to send in a copy of my passport, then shortly followed by an email cancelling my booking. I am shocked by their approach and their lack of customer care. It is their loss. Just because my name is Mohammed it does not mean that they must do a security check on me, we are not all terrorists. This practice will undoubtedly cause a loss of business to agoda. They have lost mine, Mohammed Ismail

Agoda how to contact you in case of complaint

I am booking hotels through agoda.com I have two time problem about a year ago one time hotel give me very bad room since they don't have any room. second time the hotel booked was full and they shifted me to another very cheap hotel which i refuse to stay in
finally i got cancelled that hotel as no choice i booked again more expensive hotel and very tiny room they call nano room which that time it was not clear. Hence i lost a day and extra money say almost double. i try to contact you but there is no option to contact you in case i have /guest have problem
so finally i got this site to reach you.

Agoda fraud false advertising

A hotel was adversited on agodas site, once we had arrived, we were horrified, condoms found in one of the beds, the bed bugs were in abundance, the sheets dirty, lights did not work, broken windows, dirty dirty dirty, .. not even a homeless person would sleep in there, we lifted up one of the sheets to check the seams of the mattress the poo by the bed bugs was over whelming. Had to find new hotel 3 times the price as it was high season and options very slim. contacted agoda, refused to refund. disgusting customer service.. please do NOT USE

Agoda dreadful service

Will never use Agoda a again. Booked 4 nights in Ahmed, Bali. Arrived to discover no booking had been made and only one night available. Then Agoda told ( via Vienna cottages reception where we spent just the one night) us to go to another hotel ( Bhuana hotel) next day for remaining 3 nights. Went directly to this new hotel before dinner to double check...no record of any booking there either in our name! Over breakfast next morning, Vienna cottages reception told us Agoda had made a reservation at Bhuana in a local Indonesian name...this didn't exist either when we went back to Bhuana. We've now ended up in some lower category hotel, not on the beach, no sea view etc after a lot of hassle and time wasted.
Now we have to try to get a refund for the difference in hotel category/ price. What a waste of time and appalling service.

Agoda Unauthorized charge

Immediately after realizing I did not want the hotel I just booked on Agoda.com, I returned to their website to cancel the booking. It all went smoothly and a cancellation number appeared for reference. On the date of my supposed stay in the Kyoto Towers hotel in Japan, my credit card was billed $707 for no-show. When I called the company, the agent called me a liar and said that if it indeed cancelled, I would have received a cancellation notice by email. Well how was I supposed to know an email was expected? No, I did not receive an email. Unfortunately, I had thrown out the piece of paper where I had written the cancellation number. The Agoda agent said there was absolutely nothing they could do, not even give a discount. Thus aside from their faulty cancellation process, I was called a liar and worst yet, I had to pay the full $707.

Agoda special offer was a joke!

In November 7th, I received an special offer for Hotels in Paris. I did a reservation at the same day. The reservation rate was USD 526.24 for 4 days and was charged in my credit card, I received a confirmation from Agoda website and I trusted everything was ok. Imagine how surprised I was today, when I received an email from Agorda saying that there was a system problem and the hotel rate is 290.88 USD PER NIGHT. They just forget the offer and ask for the full rate, otherwise my reservation will be cancelled.
I sent them an email but I am now very unconfortable with this situation.

It was a pathetic service by your partner hotel - Kathriya hotel Hyderabad.

We have a booing for nine rooms for six days.

We have already made complete payment for 1.56 laks.

Along with us other hotel customers are facing the same issues. Hence along with us they re taking the refunds from their agents- ibibo, make my trip etc

Service problems.

- Room allocation issues. We have been waiting in the lobby without refreshments for 5 hrs.

- no arrangement for room service . No towels, no bathroom cleaning.

- AC rooms not working.
- no wifi connection.

- most important we are not having water past three days.

We have lost more than 15, 000 rs on our bus bookings, as we all our not even had a bath for past two days. We are using purchased bisleri for bath do small kids. It's a complete harrasment by the hotel people.

Hotel General manager Mr vasudevan have already accepted for their pathetic service.
He is told for the complete refund.

We are pretty surprised that you are rating this hotel as four star hotel. Next time we would also think to contact you for our next destination booking.

We order u to kindly make the refund for the whole amount. We would also take legal actions of not settled soon. We require u to answere the hotel within next two hrs for the same.

Agoda best price guarantee

Agoda.com claiming of Best Price Guarantee is totally untrue. We were suppose to book a staycation in Crosswind Resort Suites from Deal Grocer but was lured by the best price guarantee of Agoda.com. It turned out the all-in price is higher than that of Deal Grocer. We filed our claim but they rejected it without proper review and give us lame excuse.

Agoda agoda discriminates against certain nationalities

I recently used Agoda to try and book a hotel for my trip to London. Upon trying to make the booking, I could not find my country, Syria, in the passport section (see photo)
I called Agoda to request a clarification and they responded that it is a company policy to not book rooms to people with the Syrian nationality.
I find it shocking and unacceptable that a company should be allowed to have such a blatantly discriminatory policy and continue to operate, and would like to draw people's attention to it.
For shame.

Agoda worst service

I booked 2 rooms in a hotel in south Goa "Hotel Orion" on 12 august 14 for a day .My booking id was [protected].I was in receipt of confirmation voucher.While check I was shocked there was no any information at reception about my booking.The receptionist kept on hold to us for a hour.Afterwords they allotted one room and asked to wait for another room and it was allotted at 16 hrs means after waiting of 5 hrs.This has happened first time with Agoda.I am regular customer and this experience was unexpected and horrible.Even the quality of service and food was worst.Whether I should prefer Agoda for next time or not is question before me.

Agoda no refund and no customer service

I used Agoda.com to book a hotel in Paris, which was a robber. The hotel was under construction so it did not look anything like the pictures online at all. It practically looked like a ghost story and was very noisy. They even used markers to write room numbers on the doors and the staff was not very professional in that he didn't give me wifi password or activated my card correctly so I had to run up and down twice.
After I checked in, I realized that the room was too small for me. I am 5'2'' but even I felt like I couldn't squeeze into the bed. My other friend happened to drop by and wanted to share the room with me so I asked the hotel for another bigger room with two beds or queen/king sized bed. The staff, who couldn't speak English very well, thought I was trying to sneak her in so he said no and asked us to find another hotel. Luckily, we found another one immediately online, thinking that the staff would cancel my booking because he said that perhaps he could take care of the cancellation the next day. I understand that the day of arrival has been charged because I have checked in, but I specifically requested for cancellation for the rest of the week and he said okay.

It never happened. The hotel insisted on charging me for 4 nights. I only stayed in the hotel for 2 hours! And I didn't even use any facility. I just dropped my luggage in the room, came out to the lobby and then started to look for another hotel. I turned to Agoda but their customer service is not helpful at all. They simply forwarded my email back to the hotel and came back saying that "Sorry the hotel policy says no refund because you were trying to sneak another adult into the room."

If I were to sneak another adult into the room, why would I be so honest about asking for a bigger room and had my friend standing next to me? And if all that Agoda can do is to forward my emails to the hotel, then what's the value of this company? I could have done it myself. Why can't a customer cancel booking because she is not satisfied with the hotel service or condition?

The worst part is, I left reviews of the hotels on Agoda.com and obviously the company filtered the reviews too. I left comments for two hotels. One was positive and this one was negative. Then I never saw the one that was negative. Never ever.

Don't trust Agoda.com for anything. Don't trust their customer service, pictures or customer reviews.

Agoda double booking

My name is Susan and my partner Leon Duncan booked the Millstone Country Inn for our 2 yr anniversary as a surprise for myself. He told me a few days before that he had booked, and had not received confirmation email as stated on your site. I rang Millstone and they advised me no booking had been made although the money had already debited Leons bank account. I then rang Agoda where I was assured that there was a reservation and that everything was fine. I went to Millstone as planned on Friday 18 April to be told there was no reservation and they had been fully booked for at least the last month. The Manager of Millstone contacted Agoda as apparently we were the second couple who had booked through Agoda and turned up that day and there was no rooms. Agoda then found my partner Leon and myself a room half hr away in the centre on Sheffield which is definitely not what we had paid for. We ended up being booked in to Leopold Hotel where we then had to pay again for this hotel although we had already paid for Millstone. On top of this there were no parking facilities, so we had to park 2 streets away in a multistory carpark at £8 per day. The room we was given, the shower did not work and there was food left in the fridge from the previous occupants of the room, and the food served by this hotel was appalling. We were then shifted to another room for the last evening of our weekend away. Due to Agodas error, Leon and myself incurred extra fuel costs, car parking costs and Agoda completely ruined our weekend away. It was our 2 year anniversary and we booked Millstone as that is where we wanted to go. We are absolutely disgusted and now looking to take this further. We were short on funds for the whole weekend as we didnt expect the extra fuel costs and having to pay for 2 hotels. The accommodation that was eventually provided for us was disgusting and if left both Leon and myself being stressed for the whole weekend and caused emotional distress and financial distress and loss for both of us.

I bought hotel room Mariott Courtyard Bangkok from Agoda.
4Nov, after made payment online, I did not receive the email confirmation, so I made 2nd booking with email confirmation.
In same time I called Agoda to UK number, to cancel 1 bookinG, following with email.
Agoda replied that they only charged me 1 payment.
5nov, during my check in and stay in Hotel, I informed Hotel staff regarding this, and staff said they could not cancel the 2nd booking due to Agoda have not yet cancel it.
I wrote email to Agoda with cc to hotel Mariott to cancel 1 booking. Agoda again replied only 1 booking.
18nov after I checked my bank statement, Agoda charged me both booking in same date 4nov.
After I sent my bank statement as evidence, Agoda replied tha they RECENTLY found the other booking due to my slightly wrong typo of email address. What a stupid excuse! Did they know if they charged me in same time?
And they informed me that hotel Mariott charged me due yo NO Show in hotel.
It is not problem if Agoda has failure in their computer system that they could not find the 2nd booking. Because I have informed earlier as possible and hotel Mariott tried to cancel it.
Agoda seems to play with time, by delaying the information, so customer is the one who get loss.
Agoda, please.do your job done, and Refund my money in full amount. It is not my problem how you handle it with Mariott Courtyard Bangkok.
