Advance Auto Parts customer service

I went into Advanced Auto February 19th, 2016. The problem or the issue was customer service. There is a lady and her name is Sherry. I was standing in line to ask a question, and she didn't ask how may I help you or anything. She let 1 person cut in front of me and did not say anything. And when I finally did got the chance to speak to her she gave me a mean nasty attitude. All I wanted to know is if they had some valves for my car tires. I guess that was too much to ask. She was terrible and customers should not be treated like that, especially when I am spending my money there. I started to walk out and not get the valves, but I needed them and I let someone else check me out!

Advance Auto Parts customer service

The Key West store needs some qualified help! At any given day or time you can walk in this store and there won't be a single employee available to help customers. They're either outside helping someone install something as simple as windshield wipers, or they're outside having a cigarette break, or they're in the back oblivious to the fact that they have customers waiting to be served. If there is an employee at the desk, they never once ask if they can help you find something. I know we're on "Island Time" down here but the employees at this store are on NO-TIME except their own. Oh, by the way, this store is usually out of whatever I'm looking for but it takes 10 minutes to find that out because you can't find anyone to ask!

Advance Auto Parts customer service

I'm always missing from computer on high dollar purchase anything with a real warranty. And always have to make two or three trips in order to get parts that's are supposed to be in stock? But aren't there, but we can have it in the morning at 8:00 a.m. then it's not in don't know why? we can get it at 2:30 p.m. today. sorry we will have it tomorrow... At this point I just want to tell them to just go( **** ) them selves. So no longer will I purchase anymore products from this company. I don't care if I have to pay 20 or 40 dollars more else where..It will be worth it to save the bull s**t runaround. Oneida location store is under some of the worst man ament I have ever seen. I used this store for over 10 plus years...I will not pull into this parking for no reason ever again...your polices really need a serious over hall...

Advance Auto Parts work ethics

was told had to cut back on all employees hours but i got cut 5 hours the other full time driver didnt get cut any neither did part time . we are drivers for advance, heard and was told that because i am female and need this job as unemployment is high i would deal with it so thats what i am doing as i only have my income unlike the others who have ssi pensions and wives jobs i dont i just like to say this a place that walks all over females

Advance Auto Parts thieves selling junk parts

I do not recommend purchasing any parts from this store, they are cheap junk. For instance I replaced universal joints on my Jeep with their cheap junk parts and they needed to be replaced not even a year later. I also purchased a supposedly Best car battery from them and it is junk within the year. Also, they are thieves. There was a mishap with a number being wrong on our direct deposit and 3 checks went into the account they all were resubmitted and cleared. Advanced Auto is the only company that has made an issue out of it, even though they received their payment with no issues they attacked my bank account for a $30. fee. We called the store that we made the purchase at and the manager took our number and said he would be in contact if the fee needed to be paid. He never called, then I received a letter in the mail today concerning the fee it stated that it would take the money directly from my account but if I preferred to pay another way to call. They attacked my account today! They never even gave me a chance to pay another way.The other 2 companies have not raised any issue. I have spent a lot of money at Advanced Auto but I will never spend another nickel there ever. Thieves selling junk.

Advance Auto Parts unethical behavior

On October 21st my mother purchased a battery from Bill at the Carroll Island store in Maryland, zip code 21220. Let me rephrase, Bill sold my mother a practically dead (one working cell) battery. After purchasing this battery it was hit or miss on whether or not her car would start. She took it back to Bill numerous times and was told a plethora of excuses. It's the starter, it's a loose connection, it's the WEATHER (70 degrees mind you). So on Friday November 6, her car would not start at all. So she had it towed to her dealer where they tested it and found that she had been sold a useless, dead battery. My mother promptly called Bill and met him at his store where he quickly dismissed her saying sorry lady but you aren't getting anything back. He REFUSED to replace or refund my mothers money. He was extremely rude and arrogant and was acting like a despicable human being. When I called to have a discussion with him because this is not right at all, he THREATENED me with calling the police and saying I was harassing him. This man knows he did wrong and took advantage of my (ill by the way) single mother. I've contacted corporate but am still waiting on a response before I take this to the newspapers and news stations. This mans behavior and total lack of customer service and compassion will NOT stand. I've posted this on many social media sites in my community and received an outpouring of responses from members of the community also saying they were mistreated by Bill. I cannot wait to hear from corporate on what the outcome will be. I'm sure they don't want to be known as a company who condones their managers taking advantage of ill single women.

Advance Auto Parts called store left on hold for over 15 mins

Called Advanced Auto Parts in Wis Rapids Wisconsin On Numerous occasions, Been put on hold for over 15 mins, With that loud music. The employee's that put me on hold names are Bob Mullen, Carl Sailor, and Carl Herrman, I'm on my cell phone and the minutes add up when your trying to find a part. Very frustrating. and aggravating. Does this company want your business or not...

Advance Auto Parts no gifts cards accepted online

Advance web site does not allow you to use gift cards. Only in store purchases for gift cards. Well, I prefer to shop online and take advantage of discounts provided there. I think they are the only company in the US that does not accept gift cards on their web site. So to me, this $50.00 dollar gift card is of no value. Their official answer is that the web site is not set up to do so, but we all know there has to be some other reasoning behind it and I am sure it is about MONEY...they make more money when you shop in store. Because making a change on website to allow for this is not a major change as all other companies do it.

Advance Auto Parts refused return

We bought 2 cv axles for her jeep. I replaced one and decided that the other was ok, and replacement was not necessary. She returned to the store with the $70 part, and a return was refused, they said that it had been installed. This was not the case.

As a former general manager for advance auto parts in denver, I would never attempt to pull something on them, nor would I have ever gotten away with such horrible service.

I have always trusted advance because I knew the parts are good and so are (Most of) the people. Clearly that has changed. I'm done.

Advance Auto Parts warranty fraud

I have a commercial acct with them, and with the reiceipt i went in before i removed the bad shocks, asked if they would replace them and they said yes. Next day i returned with them and i was told they would not replace them, this is on my personal car i was very pissed off and closed my account with them on the spot, now i deal with napa, or rock auto only !

Advance Auto Parts Battery

I purchased my battery from advance on 12-12-2011, on [protected] i had to have someone jump me off. So i took it to the store to be tested., The claimed it had to be charged up, and that it take 1-2 hours. I left my car there for them to charge The battery. To my dismay, on9-24-2014 i could not crank my car, had to jumped off again. I took it back to advance with the hope of having the Battery replaced. Well thr guy checked it and said it need charging again, but the battery is testing fine, therefore, we can not replace it whats the use of having warranty if it can't be used..

Advance Auto Parts rebate refusal

Be aware - FRAUD
According to other reports I have read on this site, Advance Auto Parts has a reputation for not honoring rebates advertized. On May 14, 2014 I purchased parts from the Katy, Texas location and received a receipt clearly stating the purchase was eligible for a $10 rebate between the dates May 1 and May 30, 2014. I don’t usually participate with these promotions but decided to apply online as prescribed. I provided ALL of the required information the day of the purchase, but to my surprise on May 29 I received a rejection by email.
Your Rebate was not approved for the following reason(s): Your transaction does not qualify for any current events.
I contacted the customer service department and the person I spoke to agreed I had properly provided all the required information during an eligible promotion period and she would forward the information for approval. On June 5, 2014 I received and email from Jimmy Alicea @ [protected]@help.4myrebate.com stating I would receive further follow up by a company representative. I'm still waiting June 25.
This seems to be a rampant issue for Advance Auto Parts, deceptive & misleading and I do not recommend others to patronize the company at any location nationwide.

The same thing happened to me with correctly filled in data for online rebate !

REBATE CENTER messaged back with Email , said "Based upon the transaction detail provided we are unable to validate your purchase"

and the rebate center blamed the store for having too many digits in their store number ?!?

So they require you to take a photo of the receipt,and EMAIL it back (which by the time you did online rebate process you may have tossed away)

Thats BS all the way they dorks at rebate center are DORKS...they should correct their incorrect methods and not be blaming the store because it used to have a different store name.

Is this legitimate ?

What a scammy type situation they put the customer in. THIS ALSO MAKES THE STORE LOOK BAD WHEN ITS THE oddball REBATE CENTER REPS DOING THIS.

Advance Auto Parts warranty not remedied

This dispute relates to a few different issues with Advance Auto Parts – warranty, delivery, and customer service issues.
On 29-Nov-12, an order was placed for a used transmission for a ’00 Isuzu Rodeo. It took over 15 days to receive the part. We were in constant contact week days with the store to get updates and no pertinent information was ever really given. When the part finally arrived (16-Dec-12), it was installed immediately; our customer had been waiting for over two (2) weeks for the vehicle.
Per the store’s commercial sales department, when part was purchased the warranty was for parts and labor at 12 months/12, 000 miles.
The customer returned 06-Dec-13 complaining of slipping issues and not properly engaging. We diagnosed the vehicle and found that the transmission was causing the issue. So, we immediately contacted Advance Auto Parts of the problem and requested another transmission since we were under our warranty with regards to time and mileage. The transmission arrived a lot sooner than the first time and was properly installed (11-Dec-13). The customer left happy with a properly working vehicle. Once we had the invoice signed by our customer, we forwarded via email (12-Dec-13 @9:16AM EST) the necessary second invoice information for payment on the labor claim since the transmission was already sent and under warranty to the CAM (Commercial Account Manager-Jason Caballero). We did not hear from Jason until a week later (19-Dec-13) when he said that he had to “have a meeting with me”. Jason let me know that the labor claim would not be approved due to the part purchased was outside the warranty time. I let him know that we did not agree due to the fact that the original transmission was not delivered until 2 weeks after the order date. It does not make logical sense that a warranty will begin for product/service if it has not yet been received, let alone paid for.
I did not want to argue with Jason because I had customers in our office and it was not an appropriate time to discuss this issue. I let Jason know that there was nothing more to discuss since he was unwilling to try to fulfill Advance Auto Parts warranty. He also made no additional attempt to rectify the situation.
I then attempted to get an answer from Jason sending an email alerting him to the facts – part not delivered till mid-December, we had a 12 month/12, 000 mile warranty on parts and labor, and to discuss other issues with customer service. Jason responded after 5PM that same day which is admirable, since timeliness was also an issue I had with Jason. Jason did not address all issues discussed in my email.
Our issue at this point is that we received an inferior product from Advance Auto Parts and requested under the terms of our warranty replacement and reimbursement. All action items have not been met and per the CAM –Jason, will not be remedied.

Advance Auto Parts employee harassment

I have been an employee at advance for nearly 8 years. I have been harassed with slander and racism for the last 5 years. I was just written up for defending myself against sexist slurs. my gm is threatening my job with this. I may respect his words but he is unreliable as management. he is never on time, leaves on the clock for hours at a time, lets two other co-workers use the company vehicles to do personal errands. the one female driver was spotted at the local liquor store in the company vehicle and in uniform. I will no longer be punished for being to work early, staying late, and covering my gm's hours just so he can come in and just change his time to make it look ligit. he has even gone as far as to use another employees numbers to give himself a payout for fuel expenses. the fuel expense was unnecessary, a routine mpp could have made the delivery. he took his own vehicle and during delivery he went to a doctor appointment and went to lunch with family. he was gone approximently 4 hours. then returned and gave himself a fuel payout. I have been targeted as the blame for many things as of late that are not necessary. do not want to leave my job or be terminated. but i can no longer mentally handle the stress and mis-conduct. I have done my job as well as others for nearly 8 years. this store will eventually fail due to the management. this same gm has made this specific store lose 2 very important commercial accounts due to his temper and attitude. something needs to be done.

I have done business with Advance Auto Parts in Marietta Ohio for years. My recent experience was terrible. I had a complicated purchase concerning core charges, returns and a new purchase. I incidentally had my sister with me. Her and I were talking about the return to ourselves and she went to ask him a question. He immediately threw down his pen and became filled with what I would call rage. He was a redhead so it was easy to tell he was upset. My sister said you don’t have to get upset and he said if I was upset you would know it and glared at us. If he worked for me he would get some time off. His name was Liam.

Brake pads are a wear part (that means they wear the [censored] out lol) limited life time warranty means it's is "limited" to manufacture defects only ie. Falling apart lol 😅 which they never do

Advance Auto Parts low pay, high employment turnover, and racial bias in job promotion.

Hi, my name is John X and this is my complaint:

This company has to be one of the most pathetic, low down retailer ever in terms of employment. The employee retention rate is so low that they will be content to even keep one employee for 2 months. I have slaved my ### off there for over a year and a half and I can honestly say I do want to get the ### outta that ### hole. I have personally witnessed over 20 employees quit this hellhole job in less than a period of 17 months since I've started in late 2011. And to make it more exciting, the General Manager who hired me, quit also. I started at $7.71 and finally 8.27 an hour, which I feel is very ###ing pathetic. I asked for a pay raise but the new manager doesn't seem to give a ### about my dying request. I have bills due each payday that is over $300 and it takes a huge portion out of my paycheck. I have over 5 years of automotive experience and all I do there is deliver auto parts to shops. How ###ing shameful is that! Furthermore, those with NO automotive experience, get promoted faster and to make a true American patriot angry, they promote Spanish speaking employees alot faster than those who have sound knowledge of the automotive parts. I swear every ###ing Spanish speaking Hispanic employee who works in the store who speaks Spanish gets promoted easily, that is ###ing racial bias. I am a black man and this really upsets me. It seems us hard-working, experienced black men are being conquered by the uneducated spicks.

I worked with a downright ain't-worth-a-### commercial manager, who I feel IS NOT qualified for the job but nonetheless, he "got" the job. He doesn't even know his ### from his head. He has an outta control temper especially if runs are taking longer than expected, he rushes me like it's the post office. Why the ### they rushed me like the post office when I'm a BARELY earning 1/2 of what the USPS letter carrier's starting hourly wage. Mother###ers better pay me like the post office for rushing auto parts or else I refuse to do the work. This [censored] even got into two personal conflicts with the two past commercial parts pro. You can tell this mother###er ain't a friendly person to work around with. If I was the manager, I tell him to be cooperative and friendly, or get the ### out of my store.

I have commercial customers who always complain about that [censored] commercial manager who sends incorrect parts on a frequent basis. Them commercial customers are also a pain in the ### to deal with especially when it comes time to pay up their bills. I had this one spick who always cusses me out and my store for charging him stuff he orders. This guy doesn't even know what the ### he wants. Every time I have to go collect from him, he always have an attitude and gives me that "What the ### are you doing here" look on his raggedy old face. I should just toss hot oil on the mother###er's old face, straightening it out.

For being a black man who works at the very bottom of this racially biased ###-filled retailer, I would seldom have an opportunity to work the front counter. When I greeted a spick customer, he asks in broken English "you a speakin Spanish?" Boy, does my blood pressure goes up when he said that, knowing full well I am a black man. When he asked me if I spoke Spanish, I just feel like saying, "Do you speak English or should I call immigration?" I am so fed up with all the spicks buying parts who can't even speak English and not even Spanish clearly.

After over 18 months in this ### hole, I have experience the WORST kind of employment I ever had in my lifetime. Thank God this company ain't intended to be a career. If Advance ever promotes hiring by saying "Career opportunities", boy, please. I just wanna laugh my ### when I see that ###. Oh and if you desire a job with this hell hole, please understand, that if you are 21 years of age, have some retail or automotive experience, and are U.S. citizen from birth who speaks the native English language, you WILL not get a customer service retail position, you will pissed on, mocked at by working as a delivery driver having to deal with dumb as ### commercial parts salespersons. Forget about getting hired if you 18 and are American who speaks English. Opportunity to promote to being a a retail salesperson who works the front counter, easy, just be a Spanish speaking Hispanic loser.

I also work at Advance Auto Parts, and I must say, the reason you haven't received a promotion is because of your negative attitude. And talk about racism? You appear to be extremely racist towards Hispanics. When I as a store manager before in Erie, PA, Hispanics were a good part of my customer base and they knew their stuff. I also had Eastern Europeans, such as Russian, Polish, Lithuanians, and Ukrainians. All good customers. You have to treat people the way you want to be treated. If you are so unhappy, simple solution...QUIT! I personally wouldn't want YOU in my store, bringing down the rest of your team with your pathetic "I can't get promoted because y'all are racist and I'm black". Who cares? We have a black president. The race card is BS anymore, get over it! You are the one being racist, and the only thing you would get from me at my store is a boot in the back side on your way out! Man up! Either chill out and smile as you work without whining all the time and dropping F-bombs every other word, or do us ALL a favor by going down the street to AutoZone for employment. They'll hire ANYBODY! I know that from having worked there before and the store manager admitted he knew absolutely NOTHING about cars! WTF?! By the way, AutoZone WORSHIPS black people!

Advance Auto Parts did not honor warranty

An employee name Jorge L did not honor my part warranty even after I pointed out it said if defective I guest he works for commission for not honoring warranties well I still bought It but to Oreilly auto parts. Well know a friend of mine experience the same thing with an employee name Chris also in the same store but he instead of buying it there he also went to buy it to autozone auto parts. In total that store loss. Two customers . They should be discipline customers will eventually go to stores were warranties are honored

I checked what happened with other telcos that had previously closed contracts with Apple for an exclusive iPhone distribution and found that indeed these telcos temporarily gained value from such contracts and hence agreed to invest into China Mobile.

Company submitted unauthorized overcharge to credit card company. Customer service blames customer for "confusion" and refused to promptly credit overcharge. Subsequent research indicates numerous consumers with same complaint. Beware of deceptive business practices of this company.

Advance Auto Parts I will never work with advance auto parts again

I went in as soon as the store opened to get an early start on my repairs and purchased a universal joint for my vehicle. After disassemble found the u-joint was incorrect, returned it for the ‘right’ u-joint even had to run to another store. Got back to install the ‘correct’ part it Also was Wrong. Went to O’Reilly auto parts, they got it right the first time. Went back to Advance Auto and they refunded my money but didn’t compensate for my extensive waste of time, gas and patients. They stated there books could not reference the part, so instead of telling me that First thing in the morning they randomly handed me parts hoping one would fit. I will NEVER work with Advance Auto Parts Again!

Advance Auto Parts did not recieve item/bad conflict resolution

I bought a Optima yellow top battery from them two weeks ago and have not received it. UPS claims that they delivered it but they did not. I sent an email to Advance Auto parts customer service and their only reply was that the UPS tracking number says that it was delivered. I have since escalated the claim to Paypal and hope to get my money back. Here is the point. If a customer says they did not receive their item, then you should respectfully believe them and send out another part. This is part of the service in 'customer service'. Never argue with the customer and just fix the problem promptly. It may cost extra money but that is where you file a claim with the delivery service you choose to work with as a business decision. In the long run, the expense to replace the product pays off because then you receive repeat business and good word of mouth marketing. I have had such a problem before but the company I dealt with, quickly refunded my money, no questions asked. I tell everyone I know to buy from that company because I know they have good customer complaint resolution services.
