I ordered the sample product. the ingredients are literally: white tea, wild mustard (acai) and "proprietary blend". that's it!
Acai is a wild mustard the homeopathic name is on the label as "Euterpe Oleracea" 4:1 (fruit)
It will give you diarrhea, the proprietary blend in health food stores is sold to regulate sugar. the white tea, well, lets face it. I'm not
paying 88.62 for this snake oil!
they charged my credit card $88.62 without my permission and no way to contact them to say, i don't want your crappy product, plus there is no return address toto make a return too and there is no way to reach those people. they get your credit card number and you pay shipping for the sample and its all a scam.
if you call during business hours, 9am to 6pm monday to friday, no one answers the phone. it remains busy all day. until the end of the business day.
if you send an email or try the "live chat" at their website of :
http://www.mytrailsupport.com/
with the blonde pictured on their homepage named Jessica, well, no one is there!
these people are really beyond rotten thieves.
I want them to burn in hell. God only knows what really is in those pills. Maybe the FDA should check them out and shut them down and fine the living hell out of them.

I have never received the product although ordered and was supposed to be delivered no later than December 30, 2008. NO ONE answers the 866-938-4832 telephone number listed for Acai Berry. Where is our government when we really need them?

I signed up for the "free Trial" and towards the end, there was a question and answer prompt so I started asking questions about the products, and the on line operater at Acai8 was trying intently to get me to sign up for a membership. I began to notice her persistance and wrote back to cancel everything, that i did not want any membership, or even the product. A few days later, I noticed that I was being charged $4.95 from my debit card and in two days, 2 bottles of Vital Acai came from LaJolia, Ca. In the envelope with the product was a disclosure that I had 15 days from their ship date to cancel and a number to call 24/7 to cancel at anytime. They were going to charge me $39.00+ per bottle and continue to ship each month with identical charges until I cancelled. So, I called the number 1-866-899-9006. A lady answered and said she'd been getting calls and didn't know what this was about. So I redialed and got some elevator music, no one answered. This was Canada number, or so the Address said, Vital Acai, 895 S. Rockefeller Avenue, Suite 105, Ontario, Ca 91761. I held on the line thinking that this was also charging me because I don't have out of country phone services.

What I did: Call my bank, connect with the dispute services there, cancel my debit card, send back the unopened product to the address on the shipping label. Also before I order anything on-line, I will google the company and look for complaints like this before I fork over my credit card/debit card # to fraudulant companies who get you into these things without a way of cancelling. The end

Yes complete fraud. I ordered back in December and never got the product I called in early January and they told me they had to do a background check but I had passed so they would be sending me the product! Finally today i was fed up with this so I called to cancel my order. They told me it had barely shipped yesterday because of the HIGH DEMAND of the product. I told them I dont care cancel my order now. They gave me a confirmation number. So far no charges have been made to my card. But im going to be checking frequently.

By the way Kristabelle I live in Ontario California. Its not Canada everyone always thinks that. So dont worry you werent calling another country.

i know how u people feel. i i got the acai berry and total cleanse. i have people call me and tell me they are getting ready to ship my order. i told them i did not order anymore and just got my stuff 5 days ago.they quickly hung up on me in mid sentence. i went to check my bank account and saw that they the took out over 100 dollars with shipping. i called my bank right away and cancelled my card. i tried calling the 866- 320-0038 number and got dead air. i've taken the pill since i got it, and have been having stomach pains today. wonder why?

i also fell into this scam. i tried to call #866-9506352 and #866-938-4832, nothing but dead air. they took out of my account 88.62. i was also charged 3 other times before this, but spoke to live bodies each time they went ahead and took my money out of my account. i guess i was lucky that they put the money back into my account. this issue with 88.62 i'm afraid i will not get my money back. i know one thing on monday morning i'm calling my bank and requesting a new debit card. one of the reasons i purchased acai berry was because this product was approved by Oprah, i wonder if she knows that this company is taking money out of our accounts or charging our credit cards with out our authorization.

I also received a bottle with outrageous unauthorized charge of $94.57 after ordering free trial for $5.95 and waiting to receive RMA number that I need for a refund. Not sure whether message went online. I kept seeeing acai berry ads pop up everywhere and bought as it was endorsed by Oprah. I am not happy with the pills, my trial bottle is still half full.

Send it back. You will continue to see unauthorized charges... cut that card up...

I found this on this website and it's just part of it:

Two dietary supplement marketers that lured consumers on the Internet with allegedly deceptive weight-loss claims and bogus "free" sample offers, and then debited their bank accounts or charged their credit cards for continuing shipments without their consent, have agreed to settle Federal Trade Commission charges that they violated federal law. With the increase in Internet marketing, the FTC staff has issued a report providing guidance for marketers to help them avoid deception in making online "negative option" offers. (With negative option marketing, a company takes a consumer's silence or failure to cancel as acceptance of the offer and permission to bill them.)

not only did I fall for a similar scam but on the back of a small piece of paper giving instructions was several names of no fault billing companies that were going to charge my account for their products if I did not cancel. When I tried to cancel they found my name in their system but could not cancel until my account had been activated by the shipment of the first item. So they could not cancel until I had been billed one time. When I attempted to cancel the acia berry I was given a cancelation number but charged anyway. I to had to cancel my debit card and get a new one.

I somehow filled out one of the scam forms and have now received a bottle of Acai supposedly that was shattered broken - they charged my credit card $79 I called the number no answer. Bank says only way to get them not to charge me is to close credit card - Is anyone from consumers department monitoring this or helping out those who have been victimized? Any info or experience anyone else has would be appreciated...

I encourage everyone that has become a victim of this scam to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau: www.bbb.org . There has been a lot of people that have been caught in this scam. I tried to cancel my order before I even received it when I heard about other peoples compaints. They refused and sent the product anyway. I returned unopened as soon as I go it. I never was able to contact another person after that. My only solution was to cancel my credit card before they could charge it anymore.
