I've had the start card for over ten years. It is handy and for the most part I never had any issues with the product..until recently, and it turns out it's a huge problem. I wish I never got the card in the first place. I always stay up to date with card and typically pay off my balance as soon as I make a purchase. At the end of last year I stopped and...

I have been fighting this company for years! They take my tax return and I have never had any type of loan or credit with these people. My credit, or so I have always thought, was never good enough to obtain any loan or line of credit. I am going to get a lawyer! I don't feel I should pay a debt I didn't incur. And all the while whoever ruined my life with this, thank you and I hope you have everything you need!

I got out of the military early 2008 and closed out my military star card. This year after my husband and I joint filed our tax return, we found out that AAFES has offset our return claiming that I had a outstanding balance. Not only do I have the paperwork from closing out the account and the bank statements to go along with them, they are insisting that I...

AAFES They garnished my taxes

AAFES just garnished my taxes.OK here we go.I had a star card my limit was 700$I paid every month.I lived On base in California for 4 years. In 2001 I decided to move back to PA.So I made sure to pay this off knowing I was never going to use it again.I paid it off in the exchange (always made payments there in cash)in cash and told them to close the account.I got a little receit stapled to a paper.OK bye.Umm about 5 months ago i got a letter in the mail from a collector saying i owe AAFES like 5000$WHAT!So i called and told them its a mistake and they sent me all kinds of stuff. So all the phone calls and i didnt hear anything so i thought something got fixed.Until today when I called them to say why did you take my taxes they said mam we send you all kinds of notices in 2002 to say you owed 1400?In 2004 we put it collections and sent you a nother notice to tell you we put a tax lein on you. They said they sent those papers to the CALi address I said I didnot live there. She said well its not our fault you did not call us to change your address. Why would I have called a collection When I paid it off.So she said they dont know where people move.So ok it took 9 years for a letter (to find me)and ten years to take my taxes.WHATT!She said well if you can give us proff you paid.Umm yeah I will keep a peice of paper and a receipt that ink wears off in about a year(witch i had kept for about that time)So i cant win but I have proff that nothing was ever done to my taxes and no red flags for nothing .So it went from what they say they most 1400 to 3663.00HELP

AAFES poor quality Scott Kay ring

Hi, Last year my wife and I opened two Exchange credit accounts (which have been paid off in full) for the purpose of buying a Scott Kay diamond ring. We were promised 10% off our entire first purchase, which we did not entirely get, and satisfaction guaranteed. I feel let down by my AAFES Exchange program, they sold me a $15, 000.00 ring which was in poor quality and one of the diamonds fell out within a few months of extremely light use. My wife took it to several jewelry shops to get fixed but finally I said enough was enough, and I returned it to the Exchange in January of this year. I asked for a full refund of this low craftsmanship quality ring, and now the Exchange is refusing to refund my money. Furthermore the want ME to pay for repairing this ring and to ship it back to me! This is ABSURD! What kinds of products are being sold to unsuspecting military buyers?

I attempted to resolve this issue with them by email/complaint and on the phone with one of their customer service representatives, all to no avail. Additionally, She told me that they will NOT fix the ring unless I charge the repair cost on my Exchange credit (which we have paid off in full), and they will keep it unless they hear a response from me within 14 days!

I am requesting that my money be refunded either by the Exchange or by the Exchange credit card company, due to my dissatisfaction of the product I received and the poor customer service provided. Below is the email I sent to them:

I purchased a Scott Kay diamond ring for $14, 999.00 in May of this year from your online store, order #[protected]. Last month I noticed one of the little side diamonds had fallen off. I do not know what kind of warranty this ring has. But it seems to me that at this price the ring should have minimal manufacturer defects in the diamond mounting. Where can I get this defect fixed and is it covered under warranty? Thanks for your response. Sincerely, Victor Salazar

I appreciate any help in this matter, and thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
Vic
