My husband had a credit card that was past due. After he passed away, I was attempting to resolve all of his and my outstanding debts. When I called the credit card bank, I was told that this account was already placed into collections with IC Systems and they gave me their phone number to call. My first contact with ICS went very smoothly. I talked to an account manager named Jeff and he gave me a settlement amount to pay which was a around a hundred dollars less than the outstanding balance. I had not received a notice in the mail yet from IC systems, so I sent the payment directly to the credit card company. I called IC Systems back and they confirmed that the payment had been received and the balance was paid in full. I asked for a confirmation letter, and they agreed to send one.

A few days later, I received the first "bill" from IC Systems. It was for the full amount. I called them back and was told that there was no documentation of any settlement on this account. That I had made the payment to the credit card company, so therefore I MUST have made the settlement with them. She was very rude and kept talking over me, threatening to hang up on me, etc. She said I would have to fax a letter from the credit card company saying THEY accepted the settlement agreement amount.

I looked again at my notes from the first phone call and noticed that I had indeed called IC Systems for the settlement. When I made first contact with the credit card company, they told me that they had turned this over for collection and gave me their number to call to make arrangements.

I called IC Systems back again, they still refuse to acknowledge that I paid the settlement amount, said there was NEVER a settlement amount.

I called IC Systems again the next day, and the Account Manager happened to answer the phone, and he VERIFIED to me over the phone that yes, he saw that it was a settlement, and yes it was paid in full. When I asked for a letter of verification he put me on hold.

Then the collection manager picked up I told Megan that I had been talking with Jeff and she denied that Jeff EVER told me those things on the phone. It is just a headache and a run around and they lie to your face and it is so frustrating!

I called I C Systems again and a representative by the name Ron answered by call. I explained to him about my mother and I having the same name and they had put the collection on the wrong person. He was very courteous and helpful solving my problem. Ask to speak to Ron.

Hello to All Victims, of IC Systems.

In regards to IC Systems... they are a punch of idiots... They DO NOT OWN the rights to any account, no one has any "out-standing" balances with organization like these firms...
These organizations are phishing companies, they buy lists from large credit institutions, they trade these lists as if they are Gold. Because they make money of these lists. Whatever account that or did not exists is long-gone. Whatever financial institute held it, or services it, has long gone written-off that account.

Financial institutions don't have time to screw around with out-standing accounts that are just worth a couple hundred dollars. They don't have the time nor the man power to track down every account holder, they bank on those people who pay their bill on time, and pay those outrageous interest and sub-prime rates that every one payes on and the poor do.

They are formbidden by law to "'buy" accounts, and take ownership of such delinquent accounts. Just has any attorney who deals in such matters, if he says otherwise, he is lying. Ask him, which law gives him the authority to do so, and he won't be able to tell you. There is no such law. There is no contract that give then the authority, and that so-call "agreement form" you sign, when you signed up for the credit card, is NOT a contract.
You never got a copy of it, because it never existed.

So these companies, call people to scare them into paying these bogus claims. This is what is call "legal fiction", they can not own the accounts, so therefore you can't owe them.

They have convinced everyone into believeing that if you don't pay these accounts, that it will screwup your credit history, well guess what its already screwed up, and everyone is powerless to do anything about it. They already know, that, attorneys know that, you have to spend alot of money to get it corrected. And, most people, which is 99.999999%, don't have the resources to spend money to fight these bogus charges. But they already know that, and so do attorneys.

If that attorney you speak says otherwise, threaten him to file a complaint/grivance against him, with his malpractice insurance carrier. You can get the list from any insurance agent, there are only 9 companies, agents hate them also.

They have to legally represent the company, and in Texas you can challege it with a TRCP Rule-12 challenge. It may be a federal statute also, they have to have been retained by the corporation, who issued/serviced account, to be legally represented in ANY LEGAL matter, before a court of law.

Guess what, this and all matters envolving any debt collector that calls you on the phone, has never stepped in court. Nor does any court papers, ruling, motions, or orders exist.

If they legally represent a company or financial institution, they have to legal CONTACT YOU IN WRITING AND PROVIDE YOU A COPY OF ANY COURT MOTIONS, THAT HAVE BEEN FILED AGAINST YOU.
So that you can rebutte the claim, or get an attorney.

That is why they call people on the phone to harass them. They have NOT legal leverage, so all they can use is threats, and harassment, and they annoy people to death.

Next time they call your family, has them to record the call, take notes, document when they called,

who you spoke to, time and date, after you get tired of talking to them, at least wait 1 or 2 minutes. Excuse yourself, say I have to put the phone down to answer the phone, then walk away and continue with you business...
They will eventually hangup, and give up after 2 or 3 calls. They are trained ASSHOLES, I spoke with two of them today at 3:12pm 12-13-07.

I yelled at them at the top of my lung, and cursed them out. I yelled that them with every kind of profanity I could think of. And I don't even have an account with them. They are trying to get my sister or my brother in-law about some BS outstanding account from like 6 years ago. I never give

them my name, I tell them that I am Alexander Haig, you know the secretary of state under Ronald Reagon, they will never get a dime.
And they don't even know they are talking to an alias...either...
Bunch of idiots....

I always tell them that this land line they are calling, belongs to Alex Haig, and not my sisters, "I don't know her, I'm not even related to her, how could I know her" I say to them everytime...

I always give them the run around. And if they do contact you with a letter, ask for the attorney

who represents the company, IN WRITTING. Ask for his bar number, and tell them that you want copies of ALL WRITTEN documents that support their claim, and if that they don't provide them, that you will file a bar complaint with their malpractice insurance carrier. You'll never hear from them again.

As far as getting your credit cleared, you can always try sending the credit reporting companies a letter, stating that you identity has be stolen, and that you don't know anything about any outstanding account. You just envoked a new law, that protects you against Identity theft. This is also legal fiction, but its not something that will count against you in any legal proceeding, especially since you haven't even gotten to one yet, nor has your husband.

Its not a white lie, its just another legal maneuver you can use against them, after you have submitted your correspondence with the debt collector.

If you Google IC Systems, you will get a number of their customers. maybe the best way to get them to stop harassing you is to start harassing THEIR CUSTOMERS. their customers obviously don't care about IC SYSTEMS immoral unethical conduct.

I wanted to pass along some information on who to contact at IC Systems Legal Department. I will have to say that this company gets way out of line, and have conducted there business in a poor manor and needs some more lawsuits to either wast their time or make them take action in trying nice way to start, they run a poor company and can ruin your Business if they are who you hire to collect your debts. If you have any questions please contact this person and write as many E-mails and call as many times as needed.

Am being called daily about something concerning my daughter in Houston. They keep requesting my daughters phone number which we will not give them. The last phone call the company rep told my wife that my dauhgter is a grown woman, but he will not tell us what this is about. When I answered this morning when the rep heard a man's voice he hung up.

These people are unbelievable ,they are now calling on my cell phone? Have no idea how they got that number?? But it's costing me a dollar everytime they call me. No problem though , I will deduct that from whatever it is that they say I owe. Not even sure why they are calling?? Can't ever get a straight answer from any of them.

This is one of the worst collection agencies out there. After a grueling year of medical hardships my WAMU accounts were turned over to IC Systems.

I am now in the process of repaying my debt.

It is hit or miss with the people you talk with. For the most part they are RUDE, RUDE, RUDE!

It's sad that these people cannot be friendly or compassionate.

I hope they burn in you know where.

I didn't know who IC Systems were until today. They have repeatidly called my home. Everytime I pick up they hang up. I called them inquiring about the frequent calls and hangups. They asked me what my phone number was. I gave it to them and they still didn't tell me what the calls are about. It should be obvious to them, that whoever they are looking for is not at the phone number giving to them by someone. I know I should handle the situation in a positive manner, but if they refuse to give you an understanding of what the call is about and they continue to call, sometimes you lose it. Yes, I've called them a couple of time using unkind words to get them to stop calling my home. I've even re-recorded my answering machine leaving a vulgar message to them alerting people to their harrassment. Their answer to me was that they were going to keep calling me. Well, I guess it's going to be a tug-of-words becaue I don't owe them nothing.

This company has called my house MULTIPLE times and they hang up. I call them back and they are very rude as everyone else has said. I am 6 months pregnant with a very touchy pregnancy this time around. I am also in the military, been serving 10 years and been to war 2 times. This woman, Jamie, told me to get a 2nd job. Another man was also very rude to me and talked over me and hung up on me. Now we are calling them and talking to EVERYONE and letting them know that they can not just call you and harass you. I also called Mr. Henderson and let him know that I will take their company to court if he doesn't respond to me. I'm not the type of person who lets people push them around and I'm damn sure not going to let some collection company push me around. I got myself into the situation I am in and I am trying to work things out and get myself out but sometimes you fall on hard times and you have to choose..collection agency or diapers for my 2 year old. Hmm which would you choose? Mike was the first person we talked to and he was EXTREMELY rude and so was Jamie along with Missy. Write down people's names and call Mr. Henderson and harass him.

My "relationship" with IC System began about a month and a half ago, my wife began receiving calls from the company in increasing frequency. Each time they called they asked for Ryan, she truthfully explained there was no Ryan here --- we have a 2 yr old son named Bryan, but we're quite certain he hasn't purchased anything.

After about a week of daytime calls, we received a letter with the same text as everyone else here - so naively thinking that talking to them would fix the situation, I called the number on the letter...

The guy that answered the phone wouldn't let me get past the "there is nobody at our house with that name" before he went into a rant about Federal law & that I was breaking it by opening someone else's mail. After raising my blood pressure a bit, the guy hung up on me.

So I called back & got the same guy. I asked for his manager/supervisor, he said no and hung up on me again.

Now I'm pissed... so I Google this site and call the number posted by Kaleigh Kirby in comments. I finally get to a person that's both civil and seems to have a clue. I explain that I'm worried they have the wrong person & I don't want my 2 yr old's credit damaged. The guy explained that it wasn't a "credit" situation, and somebody likely made fraudulent e-bay purchases using a name pulled out of the phonebook and he would stop the calls & letters. I thought that made sense, but later thought it odd - as my son isn't listed anywhere.

Anyway, we had about 3 weeks of peace. I found a site that gave instructions on ensuring no fraudulent activity happens on your children's credit report --- and that both my kids thankfully don't have a report yet.

But on 1/5, the robo-calls started again. Finally tonight I had the patience to wait for the rep to come on the line - she asked if Ryan was there, I asked if this is IC Systems in St. Paul ---- and was disconnected.

So I'll try the number during the daytime tomorrow - if they clear it up, good. If not, I'm thinking about calling my attorney or paying a visit to the addresses of the names listed when we go see the in-laws in St. Paul this spring....

FYI... These appear to be the 2 individuals Kaleigh found:

i purchased items from p.c. richards last year and put the costs on their credit card. i always make on time payments. i missed one payment and have been receiving harrassing phone calls from these idiots ever since. they call asking for my wife, but don't give a reason or state the name of the company. i believe the calls are coming from india. maybe they outsource their "business" there. they are extremely rude. i hang up on them. don't waste your time talking to these "people". thanks to "harrassed" for the info.

I have received threatening phone calls harassing me and my husband, and to tell you the truth, these people have no backbone!! To CLAIM they have the correct person is not enough for these people. They call your house, and could care less if they have the correct person or not. I have been called 25 times in the last 2 months. I traced their calls and I had contemplated sending a certified letter to their company. Then on December 15th, I received a statement from them for $5,035.30 owed to some law firm that I have obviously never heard of, saying I owed this amount of money. Up until that point I had backed off on the letter. Then I got yet another call this morning and I got fed up with this. I called the law firm that these people say I owed money to, and they confirmed the collection agency had the wrong person. The lady that works over at that office had to call IC Systems to let them know they had the wrong person. I am now sending the certified letter, and God help that company if they call me again. The next step is the Attorney General's office!!!!
If you have a problem with ridiculous companies like IC Systems calling you claiming you owe someone money that you do not, dial *57, trace their phone call three times, then submit that information to your phone company. If they continue, write them a mail certified letter specifically telling them to cease and desist all calls/mailings. By law, these people have to stop calling you. Should they continue to do so, the next step is your Attorney General's Office. Take these steps and hopefully you will too be rid of these fraudulent calls!!!

This company is violating the fiar debt and collections act (FDCPA) and the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). This company is not ethical at all. My creditor requested the account to be sent back to them and they refuse to send the account back to my vet. They also reported this information into my husbands credit report. Therefore, I am filing a federal lawsuit as a pro se litigant for the violations of the fdcap. One they have to validate the debt before they can put it in your credit burea report, if you receive more than 3 calls in one week that is harrassment and another violation. In federal court its not about the debt its about them violating the law. Trust me they always settle out of court. Our vet bill is 500 and I have them on at least 10 violations at $1,000 dollars per violation that is going to be paid to me. Here is a site that is extremely helpfull www.creditwrench.com and bud hibs site i use to research the companies. Chris Grobl is the owner of IC Systems and he can be reached at a different number which is 702-253-7870. Do not let these collection agencies intimidate them... fight them back with the law and get everyone's name and if you can record the calls. I have learned to fight back and I am beating these unethical people at a different game they dont like playing.

Just had my first ever call from I.C. Systems; didn't recognize the caller I.D. so I answered it. I don't owe a dime past due to anybody, and the call came out of the blue. A live (not computerized) woman asked for me by name; I said "this is she", she asked if I receive mail at xyz former address, I said "no I don't...who is this?" as we moved six months ago. Immediately a computerized voice said "goodbye" and the line went dead. I jumped on the internet to figure out who I.C. Systems is; how annoying. Looks like I'm in for some fun with a jerkoff company who has somehow gotten me crossed with someone else? They had my correct name and former address. I can't imagine what they're calling about; we are perfect about our bills. This is so annoying; if they're going to call, why hang up? Because I wouldn't answer a question without them identifying themselves??? Makes no sense.

I answered tonight, they asked to verify my address and i refused. They are calling my cell phone. The woman said do you know how many people with your name are out there, i need to verify, I said well im not telling you, this could be fraud. She said they would keep calling and calling and calling, i said ok, i will seek legal action, click she was gone.

I do owe some dr bills, im disabled with no income, and would love to know what office sicked these creeps on me without even contacting me first.

IC wont even tell me what its about, how will i ever know.

I received a letter in the mail form this company- and they called me today about a paypal account. My paypal account is being reviewed, so how would I owe them anything? I contacted paypal and they told me they were looking into it. This whole thing seems like a scam or fraud to me...someone needs to put them in check!

Why dont you just pay your bills. What ever your situation is everyone has them. You can stop the calls but you cant stop your bills. I think that a $40.00 Ebay Bill is payable by any person. Sell something. Do something rather than nothing. Instead of complaining about what you cant do, find some way you can. yall are ranting on an internet connection you pay for. shut it down and pay your bill. WE Will stop calling. thats that. Im not a rude person unless someone disrespects me. I help people out of their financial stressor everyday. Untill the person starts acting vulger or becoming abusive we are professionals. We send a verification letter required by the FDCPA! tells you if its not yours you got so long to dispute it. if you were incabable enough not to read it thats your fault. But i hope by reading this you learn that your not being punished unless you get out of line. Ever hered the line YOUR BALANCE IS DUE IN FULL!!! we help the people who reach out for it! that stament is for those complainers who never had posotive intent in the 1st place.

Thanks.

It isn't about paying bills, some, infact most of us don't owe you or anyone else anything. We are victims of bad information. However, instead of taking good correct information you continue to call. 3-4 times a day. 3-4 times a day for a persone who I have never heard of. I always call back (after googleling the number) and ask for my number to be removed, most of the time its okay (except when I got hung up on.. oh and when they claimed that my number wasn't in the system... other than that good) and they say it will take 24 hours... for 3 weeks its been taking 24 hours.... I'm a little over it. But now I have some great information and contacts so I'll draft my certified letter tomorrow and get it in the mail. Then my evenings can be quiet and peaceful again.
