I inquired as to whether the site had a piece of software I was looking for. The site claimed to have this software. During the joining the process I was told that the site processed Credit Card details through an 'Adult' web site but that this was a one time charge of $5.95 USD. Immediately on joining I searched for the software and discovered that the site did NOT have the software I was looking for. I immediately contacted them through their website (no phone or email contact - just a contact via their help page!!) to terminate the membership.

Since then I have received monthly charges amounting to $100 USD each month from organizations calling themselves DVDPAS; DWTUBE; RPPASS and VIATY. These charges have been placed direct to my credit card from organizations I know nothing about.

It also appears that my email address has been provided to a number of internet spamming organizations and I am now receiving pornographic e-mails. I have made repeated requests to have this terminated without any response from the organization.

This is a scam web site for people looking for movie file torrents. First on other sites it lists itself as having the torrent file. When you "signup" for ~$5.00. The file is not there. Thats bad enough but then you find you are automaticaly signed up to 3 porn sites which unless you go to the trouble of going to them and canceling the account you will be billed $30+ a month. I don't want to even think how difficult that would be with operations like this. I had to spend 15 minutes with my charge card bank canceling my card and getting a new one issued. The only way to stop things like this.

So you have been warned. Don't even think of signing up!

I also got this scam through FullReleasez.com... got billed the trial for $4.87 through 'Viaty SL'. Gave me access to MegaDownloadPass some porn site. I didn't even have access to FullReleasez for the app I was trying to get. Sent an email and no response. Went to CustomerSupportHelp.com and just went through all the billing options to try and cancel my subscription. Out of all the billing options, only 365 found my account info. I cancelled through there. It better have worked, I still need to check my CC account.

I went through all the options and got my subscriptions cancelled (after about 10 emails) and then they still charged me after that so far i have been chardged 5.50 three times and about 1.15 five times.

BTW cancelling your credit card doesn't stop the charges going through. My bank says I have to wait a bit and the report it as fraud and they will try and get my money back.

I realised that something was wrong after searching an album that is not bound to be released soon.I found a link for DownloadNova through torrentz.com .I gave my email to the site (unfortunately) but i didn't pay the 5$ that are required to download.Thank god i found this page.My suspicions were true.It's a fraud.Ty guys...

I'm a fish!! I took the DownloadNova thing hook, line, and sinker!!

BIG MISTAKE!! I promptly received THREE email confirmations telling me my CC would show THREE different billing entities. And, of course, the $40 monthly charge!!

After thinking about this, then reading your comments here, I picked up the phone and cancelled that card. The CC company will issue a new one next week. Whew!

If this is a foreign company, there's probably very little which can be done unless you (if you're American) press your case with the appropriate authorities in that country. If that country is in Africa or eastern Europe, the government could probably care less since they're getting payoffs from every direction.

If it's an American company doing this, then you're STILL not likely to get anywhere without jumping through a lot of hoops. Our own government has made prosecuting corporations very difficult so as to "increase unfettered business opportunities". HA!!! They should just admit it: "We get our pockets stuffed, our campaigns financed, and our re-elections assured by big corporations. So we're going to put as many loopholes as we can find in corporate legislation... if there has to be any at al."

Write your state attorney general. That MAY work unless the AG belongs to a party which pushes him to NOT prosecute. (And yes, it does happen... recall the "justice" department firing certain party prosecuting attorneys if they weren't prosecuting the right party's enemies. And we think RUSSIA is corrupt??)

Too bad I was half asleep when i went ahead and signed up for this crap. I submitted the charges to my credit card as disputed and they said that due to the nature of the charges, I would have to cancel my card and have it reissued. So it appears the card companies are onto their little scam. I hope.

What do You mean cancelling your credit card doesn't stop the charges going through??I have changed all my CC and all account numbers and they are still possible to reach me?

let' s face it guys..downloading all that stuff from downloadnova and downloadprofessional is illegal in itself and if we are using that service then we are accessory as well.
BUT, since there are so many people cheated by those organizations, we should do smth about it!!
My suggested starting point is http://www.customersupporthelp.com because that is where those billing sevices are founded.let's make customersupporthelp.com known who they are dealing with.

HOW MANY INTERESTED IN SMASHING THOSE downloadprofessional and downloadnova???

I was going to sign up until i read the FAQ says lifetime access but once you click to the payment page says 3 day trial. Definitely something fishy

Hi guys,

I had a hard day at work, didn't anything and wasn't thinking straight. This is all true, but doesn't excuse why I didn't smell the bad fish before it was too late.

Anyway, I'll have my card cancelled ASAP. For anybody interested I did a Whois search and found that downloadnova.com is situated in Singapore. May be a little too far out to do something against it. I was looking for a self-help ebook and did not even realize this site had adult content. I found a few ebooks that I could use. I have no interest in videos of any kind. I was shown a page showing that to download a "free-ebook" I would have to register and pay for a 3-day trial access. NO mention of anything of an adult nature.

After giving my details -- it was under $5.00, right? -- I was taken to a page showing I was now a member of megadownload pass, vipbookmark and discountvideopass. I clicked on one link to see what it was and discovered it was a porn site. It didn't occur to me that they might charge me for anything else. I thought is was something like the ShowBehind "web pages from hell" that were going around several years ago. There was no mention of any other charges, and I never received any other emails. I go no confirmation of purchase or anything else.

I discovered that to open the "free e-books" I had to have a password that came from the publisher's site and would have to pay full publishers price for each of the ebooks. I was disgusted with the whole thing and forgot about it, until I checked my bank account late yesterday and it showed two charges for $1.02 and one for $4.96. This morning I checked my bank account to print out the page with the phone numbers on it and there were three pending charges for the same places -- two for $39.73 and one for $9.82.

I promptly called the phone number on the bank statement and they said they were cancelling all three and would reverse the charge for one of the $39.73 charges but could not cancel all of them because they were only a billing service and were not authorized to cancel more than one. I would have to wait for their email showing they were cancelled and then contact the other sites separately.

I did get their email and it says they have been cancelled, but that access will continue for another 30 days.

I called the bank and they are disputing the charges, and gave me another number to call, which I will do shortly. The bank rep suggested I Google these people, which is how I found this page. Looks like I really blew it.

Someone please help, I have used a Debit Card and not a Credit Card, so this money is coming directly from my bank. what can I do? Does anyone know who the credit card processing company is?

I got caught too by downloadnova.com looking for some technical software. It said it was found but after signing up it was not found. Now I am a reluctant member of megadownloadpass.com!

Names mentioned in emails to me are Viaty SL, www.ybillsupport.com (it's a gay site)

I just ordered the 3 days trial few hours ago and same junk happend...couldn't find any of the files i was looing for after i signed up and they were telling me to look under account and wait for an e-mail to notify me when they are available...yea oook...well i knew i got aped out..lol

I searched real quick and found this...glad i did or i might have wasted more time trying to contact them...i just cancelled my CC right away..don't need any of that crap.

I signed up for the 3 day trial. I haven't had a confirmation email as of yet. I rang up the bank and stupidly told them what happened and they said they can't do anything until an unauthorised payment comes out. So I then made out I lost it.

I have a new credit card now (new number), does that mean they can no longer take money out?

I've got a similar problem. I signed up because I wanted to download an old film (Rage of Angels), but once I had signed up and paid 4.87 dollars for a 3-day trial, that film was no longer available. I did a google search on www.downloadnova.com, and I came across this site. I wished I had done it before :o(
