We were almost scammed by a phone call and posted the experience top Julie's 800notes. The next thing we know just 2 minutes after posting, one of Julie's Admins or maybe Julie herself, slammed us as fools for falling for the scam, whoever insulted us for so dumb as to fall for an elaborate and we'll organized hoax, scam. These fools aren't in the business of protecting citizens. They laugh at us for having received these calls. 800notes laughs at victims. They are not on our side.

I call for a Children’s Charity and have for the last 7 years, they have my phone number up there and supposedly people I have called saying I called at 8 am and 9 pm. Problem with that is I don’t call at those hours at all, they also say I say hello hello is anyone there, I never say that. I leave a message if I don’t get ahold of anyone the second time I call. They are ruining my reputation. This site needs to be removed and banned from ever starting another one. They are trying to ruin people and they are childish and petty.

I have been reporting a post to 800Notes that I would like to have removed because its my personal number and there is no merit or validity to why a poster named “me” on Oct 1, 2010 post: hung up

Seriously is that the only reason why my phone number is listed on their site since 2010. No other complaints or post. My personal phone number isn’t listed anywhere on the entire internet except for this site with this meaningless post. I’ve repeatedly asked for the post to be removed. I would appreciate this post with my personal private phone number be removed.

800notes.com, and whocallsme.com both are operated by the same people, I believe. There are multiple moderators on each site that will put down users, bully, those who make comments about phone numbers, and delete posts. I’ve actually been threatened, harassed, and belittled constantly whenever I have posted a number on these sites. The site is supposed to be informative for those who are trying to fight phone spam. Posting on the site has become a complete battle, and even if I post a number that called and I’m not exactly sure who it is, the moderators have no issues putting me down. These sites need to go!

I have listed 40 - 50 repeat spam callers/robo dialers on 800notes and a childish moderator over there named Nimrod keeps deleting my posts and then proceeded to tell me that I should answer the call to find out who it is, when the numbers are listed with every major spam caller site around. Except for 800notes of course, because these [censored]s delete legitimate scammers posts.

Do not waste your time with 800notes! They clearly support the spam callers!

In several occasions I have posted complaints of various phone numbers without any resolve on your part .

United States , you igets could not find the perfect opportunity to set everything ablaze !

Just think about it with every complaint sent in to the FTC they have justification to go after the phone companies, for noncompliance . They will not do this unless a watchdog group or groups make them in force there own laws. This is were you come in and make a class action law suit to life fires under there butt's ! All you have to do is tweek your webb site with a line of code / questions if the post person registered a complaint to the FTC. After that compile the data of who, what,when, were and how for proof that the FTC are inept in their jobs .

The site is supposed to be a place where people can report robo calls and spam/ scam phone numbers. I've received a number of robo calls from the same phone number and I report it on whichever reporting sites I can find. This has led me to post the same complaint on multiple sites, just to make sure people know about the scammy phone number.

There are a few people on 800Notes (such as "Jack Reacher") who take it upon themselves to complain about multiple posts. Well, the reason I'm making "multiple posts" is because I've receiving multiple robo calls.

After a few posts reporting the same number, Jack Reacher started saying the abusive behavior, calling me names, and got the moderators to remove my reports.

And why? Is Jack Reacher a mod? Does he own the site? What business is it of his that I'm posting the same report on multiple sites, so more people know about the robo-call? And where do the rules say I'm not allowed to post on multiple reporting sites?

And why does he take it upon himself to call people names, accusing them of being brain dead? This isn't even close to professional behavior and I have no idea why the mods/ site owners tolerate it.

So I'm not going to post reports of robo calls any more, which means their site has less data, which means it becomes less useful.

So, often throughout the years I have gone to a website, 800notes.com, and have searched for numbers. Usually I’m trying to find out what telemarketers are calling me, and for any other number I may not know. Over the past several years, the website has turned into a battleground. There are people on there, usually moderators, who flag posts, belittle users, and make a life living hell for people who simply want to post. They make fun of people for what they say, pick fights, end up harassing users, and even making people feel bad. It is straight up cyber bullying. It is ridiculous!

Mods are senseless low IQ / low class troll bullies - to be seen to be believed

The moderators like BigA, TygerKat, etc, have a severe Narcissistic Personality Disorder; a pervasive pattern of grandiosity and self-importance, need for admiration, and lack of empathy. All are rude and make no sense.

Disrespect, anger, hostility, arrogance & aggression is what they live for so you can just imagine what these creeps look like in real life.

These bullies attempt to gives away their shame by denigrating you and use this holier-than-thou behavior as a way to feel good about themselves. Challenged goofs.

They "Provide No Value" to the site and quash usable information & bully people in an attempt to preserve their inflated egos. One could swear they work for the telemarketers and scammers.

I use any other site than these poor excuse for human beings'. 800 Notes will be history some day and these losers will suffer in life due to their totalitarian and challenged mentality in poetic justice.

What information about a scam is put on 800 notes it is either blocked or badgered by one of the sites trolls. Even when you respond to the false information that the trolls have submitted your post will be deleted or blocked by a moderator but the trolls information is still visible.

Use a different website like spamcalls.net, fraudnumber.com, or spamnumbers.net.

The moderators and their lackeys devote themselves to being nasty to people constantly. You can see them as they comb through posts looking for ways they can interject in a nasty way. If you refute something they say, the post will be deleted. It is not likely this site is actually trying to help anyone, and like a lot of other posts online point out, they are likely involved in scamming themselves. They push away people who are posting good things to prevent scams, which could mean they are involved in the scams themselves. Don't waste your time putting up with the loser moderator lackeys. They have no other ambition in life other than to mess with you.

I liked going to 800Notes and checking on phone numbers that I didn't recognize. However, as of late, as others have mentioned, it has morphed into an argument site instead of an information sharing site. I wish the developers/owners would start monitoring that site and remove any posts that are not appropriate for the intention of the site. With so many scammers and robo callers, we need a forum to report them and let others know what the caller said if they answered the phone or were left a message.

This website is merely a rant collection for people who received an unwanted call and attracts all sorts of misfits. Posts are mostly trollers who seek attention and have arguments over who called and how to get even with telemarketers/scammers/debt collectors.

There are posts containing links to pornographic sites posted by people who claim someone sent them a link via text and posts these links. Others use vulgar language to describe an encounter with a scammer or angry telemarketer call.

Attempting to help give information on a phone number yielded questions seeking personal information from me about the number.

What I thought was a service to find out owners of phone numbers, turned out to be a call complaint website.I went there many times to look up a number, never commenting about my calls.

A few days ago I wanted to contribute some numbers I knew of and was not able to complete even one. I was asked by several people all within a few minutes why I was there, what is the address, what is the company's website and called a lying shill. I asked back WTF is a shill and who are these people. After a few insults from them, I told them where to go and stopped responding.

I began looking up reviews and found my way here. I have read a number of reviews and decided to write one of my own.

I am a victim of abuse from members of 800notes and write this review as a warning to anyone with a phone listing. As many of us know there is a big problem with scams, telemarketing and other unwanted calls. Many people turn to the internet as a means to find who may have called them.

There are numerous 'Phone Directory' sites listing visitor's reports from various types of calls. One of these sites, 800notes, had a number i recognised with incorrect calls reported for scams. Under this number's thread there were several different reports of scams, some stating they called and got a "number not in service' or the caller wouldn't give them any information about the company. All were false, as it was my brother's number who uses it for emergencies only and no one has called it for several years.

When contacting 800notes thru their "Contact Us" link, I explained how the reports for our number could only be fakes and please remove those false reports. I left an email address, but there was never any reply. I even tried reaching out thru the Number's thread only to be attacked by members, calling me a shill and using very rude behavior. They didn't verify anything, but they pretended they did and accused me of being a scamer attemptung to do 'damage control', whatever that was supposed to mean. They claimed the number was all over the internet as a scam number. I could not find anything other than what was on 800notes website.

While it is a known fact that scammers use business numbers and fake numbers to hide their true CID, by "spoofing", BUT real people reporting calls would not claim they called this number back and talked to someone, as there are no phone records of an incoming call for 28 months on our number. After explaining this, our posts about it were removed (Post pending moderator approval), then a few hours later deleted completely. The fake posts remained.

I wasn't able to get a screen shot before they deleted my posts, so i decided to research this site and write this review/report. While visiting that site, I witnessed a similar issue another person was having and took a screenshot of the behavior of the members at that site. Looking around the site at random numbers, I found a pattern of behavior these members trend there. They encourage people to report negative calls, but discourage any positive reports, calling them a shill and ganging up on them, with several other members like bullies in an alley.

I've seen posts were they advise people they dont have to pay a debt collector or worry about any debt, because nobody can legally do anything about it. This is a very deceptive website and I have to wonder how many Companies lose business because of the false/ misleading information these people project about their number to unsuspecting visitors, without validating any information from the reports posted. They will claim they cant be resposible because they have a "legal safe harbor' and you wont be able to legally force them to remove false postings.

I took a few screenshots of various "bullies" to illustrate my findings there. There are many more, but I dont wish to over burden Ripoff.com with a gallery of images. I did a search for 'Reviews for 800notes' and found some interesting to read. You should go check to see if your number(s) have been posted to be certain business is not being diverted away from you by misleading false posts!

I recently noticed that some unknown phone number called several time, but I didn’t hear. I found the website www.800notes.com. I filled the form and hoped to get info about this number, but the website showed error and they advised me to contact the moderators. I tried to reach them, but all my emails were returned back. Total scam, so stay away from this website and share your info about it.

I am dying. I have tried to cope the best way I can financially. These people have done the lowest form of a deplorable act by contacting me while in hospice as well as contacting my elderly parents threatening me with a restraining order as well as the seizure of what assets I have. Is this what humanity has been reduced to? Bill collectors who have computer and telephone courage to bully people who have day-to - day trials and tribulations into paying for something that appears to be a likely scam? Everything I read is leading me to believe that this is some con artist's way of trying to force me into a scam. Today I am reporting "you" to the police for contacting me, and if we must go to court, then I will gladly appear if I am still alive, with my nurse in a wheel chair, and I will convincingly tell the judge of how I was struck with a disease that required me to be on chemo and to have endless biopsies and lose my career. I'd gladly pay if I had it, but to try to scare me and distress my family is cruel and the lowest form of # I have ever encountered. The profanity and verbal I was exposed to was absolutely unruly, thankfully I taped these monsters, and have contacted district attorney lisa madigan's office, no one should be allowed to bully you because you have debt due to illness. Robyn fields the litigation manager told me "f* you, and I hope you croak. Too bad you're sick, you're in debt and it is not my fault, I pay my bills!" this evil devil will burn in hell and karma is alive and well robyn. These scam artists were so cocky they even felt bold enough to tell me the attorney they are working with (adam shapiro) and the process server (steven foster). I spoke to a police officer today and he said I was the fifth person he had spoken to this week who had received a call from these jackholes.

800Notes.com is supposed to be a website where a consumer can post complaints regarding telemarketers, scams, etc. A member of the group Surfers United went onto the site to post a complaint regarding a company called CallCentric Wholesale Inc. Our member was immediately set upon by 'trusted posters' attempting to thwart the complaint. Their right to post links was disallowed, posts were deleted and the thread was locked by the administrator.

Our poster felt clearly that they had been treated unfairly though the complaint was legitimate. Other internet sources have raised issues as to whether this site receives monies to disregard and thwart complaints as well as other issues.

We just found out today that Julia Forte of 800notes.com have a rap sheet a mile long for sex with minors, and that's not all she was caught letting a dog have sex with her.
