LoanMart / Wheels Financial Group bad business

I took a loan out for my truck, to try and save my foreclosed home...I had no other alternative. It is 2 years later and they are telling me that I still owe the principal balance, plus fees. They have threatened me, called my boss and family members and even sent the repo man out to harrass my son. After paying them the past due balance, they never stopped the repo action and they embarrassed me at my job, saying I owed them money. These people are CROOKS! Even as a last resort, DO NOT GET A LOAN FROM THEM.

HORRENDOUS! Run, save yourself! Go toward the light! Don't come back here in 800Loanmart! It's a trap! Watch out! Keep bobbing and weaving as you run through this land mine! Be careful of the friendly voice that pulls you in! It's a trick, watch your ankles! They'll grab you from underneath, and pull you down just like in the movie JAWS! Your desperation for money is the smell of blood in the water!
All they need to sniff is one drop, and they got you! Beware, go back! Look around, all of the corpses and decaying bodies you see are customers who've made on time payments, only to have the balance inflate like a bloated body in the lower 9th ward of New Orleans a week after Katrina blew through! Forget about their rude customer service, that's a given. Okay, I can bypass that by just not calling them. But it's the interest charged that will absolutely KILL YOU. Let's say you owe $250 a month. You pay it on time each month. You think you're current? Nope. Because of the 90% interest, it actually requires about $275 a month to keep the beast from swelling out of control. So each month, even after making all required payments on time, your balance continues to rise faster than the pastries at the Wonder Bread factory! So each month, an EXTRA $25-$30 is added on IN INTEREST...you get it? So even after 2 years of on time payments, an initial balance of $2500.00 has now become $2750.00. The contract states that all extra payments will be put towards the balance...nope! I attempted that trap as well, and all of my hard earned extra cash went straight to the next month's payment. I called about that, they told me it was my fault for not "calling ahead to designate that extra payment to only principal." I thought that was hogwash, so I called back again. The next person yelled at me, told me I was a "lost customer", and said it was the computer's fault for taking my extra money. So the extra $200 I wanted to go on principal went into a black hole, and they still billed me for the following month, and even said I was late. WOW. you don't need this money this badly. Dr. Phil once said "you can't solve money problems with more money." Just more you eventually have to pay back. Its not worth the heartache, just work with your mortgage lender, or whoever, get a payment plan, and pay your own way out rather than borrow your way out! They are so RUDE, you will regret dealing with these crooks. I learned my lesson for sure.

I am a little perplexed by all of this. I was thinking about doing business with these guys, so I went to the Better Business Bureau first. They give them a B+, which, while not the greatest, isn't bad. I also noticed that according to the BBB, all the complaints have been handled to pretty much mutual satisfaction. So though they get a lot of complaints, they seem to do a decent job of handling them within the law. I then checked online for groups like this. Most of the people here say they've made payments, but owe more than the principal amount. How is this possible? Do you make lower than the minimum payments? Do you skip? I'm just curious. I really need to get this money quick. Nobody goes to a place like this unless they're desperate. What I really want to know is, how many people followed all the terms of the contract, and still got screwed?

LoanMart / Wheels Financial Group loan sharking

I foolishly took out a 2600.00 title loan against my 2002 ford pick up truck, done to prevent my home from going into forclosure, good lord what a mistake!
I was so desperate at the time, I should have read the loan docs more closely! Almost 97% interest? I have givin them almost $1000.00 already. I called them to get the payoff amount, I was informed it was over 2700.00? Do not do business with these crooks, do not make the same mistake I did. They should chamge their name to 1800 loanshark

VEHICLES REPOSSESSED DURING BANKRUPTCY IS A FELONY.

If you have had a vehicle repossessed recently we are working closely with the California Attorney General and passing bills to stop this once and for all. If you are ready to join the class action we need as much information as possible and as soon as possible.

I got a loan with Loan Mart and then lost my job. I begged them to let me stretch out the payment until my first paycheck of my new job, which would make 45 past due, but I cant pay before that, and I told them I would double pay and never be late again, but they said they were going to send me to collections. I'm scared b/c I can't work w/o a car

**BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY** If I had known then what I know now I would not have taken a loan out with this company. like others have stated the customer Serv. Rep was very polite but they really don't explain some of the most important aspects of the loan, I found them out as I went along. 1st- I was told that the first year goes to interest not principal. then that there is a compounding interest everyday.? go figure. Orig. loan @8, 000 contract repayment would be over $25, 000. When I called to ask for payoff amt. the rep. gave me attitude asking me "why would I want to do that" I almost lost my cool. For triple the amt of the loan. I think I would sell a kidney to get out of it. NOT LOL. I will warn anyone looking for a loan not to go to 800loanmart unless your looking for easy emerg funds that you know you can pay back with a very short amt of time seeing as they charge you interest everyday and you pay that 1st.

I doubt that he will see this because it appears to be from a few years ago but I had to comment on the person who has the nerve to call anyone ignorant who obviously does not know how to use a computer or type. As long as you type in all caps and do not use spell check to correct your grammar and spelling errors while saying something as ignorant as you did, I do not think anyone who has been victim to this company will lose any sleep over your opinion. You obviously have some affiliation with this company or why would someone as pro Loan Mart be looking on a review site. My guess is you are one of the liars who work there and are just as guilty are the owner of this place. They must hire people who can't get jobs at reputable companies because they are such losers and get off on the power trip of treating people the way they do. I too was scammed by them. I was told to go to a check cashing store near me they are in the LA area I think and I am in San Diego. When I speak to a rep of a company on the phone and am told one thing I did not use to question it, I had been working with this guy through the application process etc. I had no reason to think everything he was telling me was a lie. Remember we were borrowing from them in the first place because we had less then perfect credit and were in a bind and needed money so once everything was approved and finallizized I was to go to the location and sign the contract and get the money. I did not have to read any small print it was big and bold and at this point there was not one thing I could do about it except "not pay my bills' which by the way if all of us did not do we would not need the loan. People like you really make me angry, you have no idea what you are talking about, probably have never had credit or owned a car you could get a title loan on. I did not have a problem with them taking me car because i paid every payment and on time. What I did have a problem with was people exactly like you who must have worked there or knew someone who did calling me and harassing me saying I had got a payday loan and never paid it back. They were calling me on my work cell phone the company office phone and the way I know it had something to do with this loan is they called the people I has used for a reference on the loan and told them I had got a loan fraudulently and used them as a reference. Not real smart of the callers since that was the only was they could have known this. They had such a heavy Indian accent that I could not understand what he was saying for a long time and was scared by the calls. I did not know who was calling or why and it was a very stressful time until I googled the phone number and found they were doing this to many people. My guess would be this company is owned by someone who is from a different country and the insane interest we were forced to pay was not enough for them so they were trying to extort money out of the customers too. They should be locked up and deported back to wherever they came from. Do this ### in your own country not ours.

In Dec 2013 I was experiencing financial difficulties after a layoff. I had a house and two children and I was getting behind on my mortgage. I checked out loanmarts website talked to a sales agent .I had a 2006 Yukon paid off with only 97000 miles on it. I was told the intrest rate was 37% but the quiker I paid it off it wouldn't factor in . I was starting a job the next week at 68, 000 a year and planed to pay this off within 2 months. on the application I had to give my new job information. I would send the payment out in the mail the day before the due date. they were calling my home number the day it was due and everyday after until they posted payment. but what was unfathomable was that they were calling my new job saying who they were. telling my boss that I was in the rears on my payment and could loose my vehicle . my new boss bought this up at work, and said tell them not to call here anymore . I did just that I told them to take that number off there computer and never call there again (angrily) the person apologized and said they would and by the way they were calling everyone on my application close friends, family prior bosses in consecutive order. I was sitting with a friend at a coffeehouse when they called me on my cell phone . I didn't pick up. then my friend got a call. the look on His face was worried. he said I don't know were he is and ill tell him if I see him. it was loanmart. I was mortified. Also my friends were worried and didn't believe that it was only one day after the payment was due. the next month all happened again I was laid off . they said it was for economic reasons . I lost my home .I live in a two bedroom apt with my two teenage. and im still being harassed still making 335.00 payment, the principle never goes down . when I read the contract in detail it said 98% interest. I couldn't even imagine at the time that it was legal to charge a person that kind of interest. This is legalized loansharking they don't brake bones when your late. they call your friend and shame you( luckily I have strong friendships) they call your boss. who doesn't want the problems ;of you not getting to work because he thinks your car is being repot. If this company is allowed to due business like that. it opens the doors to more predatory practices and eventfully were all consumed by corporate greed. Evil prevails because good men do nothing.
