Home Builder, RW Hertel & Sons of san Luis Obispo, CA built our home in the rancho Obispo Development today I learned most the homes have massive defects with Leaks, and TOXIC MOLD, my neighbor at 1720 Singletree Ct has Smith & Sons MOLD people at her home all day I asked what for and the pace Suit guys said the Homes are FULL OF TOXIC MOLD the builder concealed it from us renters and that the State has told the builder to re-do all 53 roofs since the entire development if DEFECTIVE and has MOLD.

We have been cheated and lied too by RW Hertel & Sons.

I know of many who got screwed by Hertel and his buddies. If you have any thing on them call the State Contractors Board and the IRS they are seeking any Criminal Information on RW Hertel and his many associates for a Criminal Charge. He is nothing short of a Liar and Con Man of a FRAUD. He is apparently cheating developer Bryan Troxler Development as well so watch out for any of Hertel projects State wide. You will be cheated, lied too and scammed.

You poor people who got cheated by Hertel and company, you need to conduct a Search of his many improper dealings.

Check, with you local building officials, State Contractors Board, BBB, WestLaw, Local Courts and County Clerks office for Suits, Liens, Judgments. You can use LexisNexis, ChoiceTrust and the Secretary of State or CSLB they have an extensive file on him and his company. Many valid complaints as well as many court cases against him and more Insurance Fraud matters as well. He is NOT a member of any valid Builders Association due to his poor reputation and lying ways. he is know as the worst builder in Central Calif. coast and has cheated many people and financial institution's as well. Verify the builder of your home and do a check before you Buy. If it is RW Hertel & Sons be most Careful.

I took your advice and contacted the Cities in questions and the State CSLB they all confirmed RW Hertel is a substandard builder who cuts coroners and cheats. They told me to call the last inspector hired Johnny Zamrzla of Palmdale, CA he confirmed all 100% of the Hertel homes he was hired by Hertel to inspect are defective and not to standards. So thanks for the heads up, I will try NexisLexis and Choice Trust next week. But now know Hertel is a bad bad builder.

This is the same builder who was the Front Page Story on building Below Standard homes in Rancho Obispo, San Luis Obispo, CA so I now see famed House Detective Barry Stone has just revealed he was Denied access to Hertel homes that were New ? go to housedectecive.com or go to google to see Barry Stone reports that RW Hertel refused to allow him to inspect the homes for a person who wanted to buy one ? Hertel knew he was building substandard homes and tried to hide it. The lady did not buy and now we know why the Homes are all Defective and Moldy with ongoing leaks. So once again Hertel lied and cheated and is covering up his defective homes. In addition the State CSLB issued a National Press Release on RW Hertel on 10/19/2005 again check on Google, yahoo or CNN it is all very well know Hertel is a lying cheating con man.

Yes, Indeed this is a new business for Hertel and his co-horts in there money laundering con's. 5 mile bridge is a Wine making adventure with Hertel's land man Tom Habbick as the Boss man while Ron Hertel and Bobby " Boy" Fowler as the partners. Remember tom habbick sold his defective home in Rancho Obispo in the long history of Hertel fraud. So if you have information on 5 Mile Bridge and it's wine and money laundering schemes notify your local IRS office.

Your correct, the firm is really VERDOT Group, L.P. a sub of Hertel Group, LLC they do have an ABC License # 451098 located at 45 N Main St., Templeton, CA 93465 this is the same people involved in building defective homes. 5 Mile Bridge is the winery so to speak, I would have their wine sent to a lab first to make sure it is wine and not cheap colored water.

Well here we go again now the rains have come and all the Hertel homes are once again leaking this is after they " Fixed" now for the tenth time. The CSLB says there license to build in Calif. in No longer good. They do NOT have a valid contractors license any more. They went into the wine making business.

VERDOT, LP dba as 5 Mile Bridge is the name brand from building leaking homes to now wine I wonder what is in the wine ? it is sure to make you ill just like their leaking homes.

Tom, I would suggest you contact your Local FBI, IRS, SSA, State of California CSLB Investigator Patrick Halverson who is lead investigator on the Hertel/ Fowler probe. Next you should have your Lawyers contact the other Law Firms Suing Hertel & Fowler up in San Luis Obispo, CA there are numerous other Suits against them but the authorities are closely monitoring the San Luis Obispo case with keen interest. There is a boat load of information on Hertel and Fowlers history being revealed in the ongoing probe into Hertel/Fowler. Keep in mind Fowler and Hertel have moved assets to their new wine making business in San Luis Obispo, CA the brand is 5 Mile Bridge with Fowler and Hertel as the two principals. They are indeed bully's but as the investigation moves on as does the many Law Suits time and Justice will prevail in what we are being told is a Criminal Indictment. Contact the Lawyers in the San Luis Obispo, CA Lawsuits the case # is CV-050606 in this matter Hertel and Fowler tried to bully and sue buyers of his homes in the Rancho Obispo Development to silence them from revealing the massive housing fraud and defects Now Fowler and Hertel are the subject of the Lawsuit. It is a very revealing matter. The LA Times is currently working on a story on Hertel's State wide building of defective homes. Finally contact your local press to investigate and expose them. Criminal Investigations Division in Ventura, CA as well as local Police Ron Hertel and Partner Robert JS Fowler who has a home in Sterling Hills will do what ever it takes to cause you and your wife and daughters harm he is a dangerous person. I fully concur with all of you about HERTEL I am a witness against him and as i see he has yet another Lawsuit against him in San Luis Obispo Superior Court case # CV-070372 not to mention the boat load of them in Ventura County Superior Court this guy is a wack job.

First he builds cheap mold homes then try's to conceal it and now he owe's just about every sub on the Central Coast. I was glad to see the CSLB took his license finally. I bet he will be in prison soon after his Criminal Trial is completed.

They with Tom Habbick started 5 Mile Bridge Wines do a search first there wine club is a fraud and scam here is the local business license #20071313 Plus they have more suits in Ventura, CA by thomas Kagy who is suing them as well over the fraud in the Sterlings Hills scam where fowler lives. Be advised Hertel and his buddies are in big trouble. They gave one of the Atascadero Defective homes at Las Lomas in Atascadero to wine maker Vance Rose to get him to move to San Luis Obispo to make wine at 5 mile bridge a cheap wine with Toxic Chemicals in it.

Greetings to all those who have been cheated and lied to by RW Hertel & Sons, Inc. in addition to them no longer having a valid contractors license there are now more complaints against there bond, Bond # 267812 with American Contractors Indemnity Company of Los Angeles, CA more owners who got cheated and ripped off by Hertel Defective building in his homes in Pleasanton, CA have complaints on file so his bond money is being canceled as well so if you have issues as many of us do file against his bond the CSLB is still after them and the more complaints the better the sentence in prison for Ron Hertel and Robert Fowler.
