3G Collect review: Long distance scam/feud 22

For about a month I been receaving calls from differ numbers I never used this company before just want the calls to stop calling my cell phone

My husband attempted to call me collect on my cell phone from an airport payphone. The call did not connect. Now everyday I get voice mail messages from this provider trying to get me to pay them $28+ for this call. I tried to contact them, not response. I am NOT paying for a call that never came through.

Rec'd a Call today that I sent to VM from these jack clowns wanting 15.99 plus service fees ETC. I obviously did not accept. Coming out of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Number Traces to EXPEDITION DR. There is no way someone would call me collect on my cell phone!

I accepted two collect calls from my son. A voice came on to let me know there would be a charge of 15.95 for each call which I accepted. I was told that I would receive a code to put into their site for payment. I did not receive the code. I have never received an invoice. I get two or three calls a day from different places in the USA. They ask me to enter my credit card # for payment. I have not and will not until I can talk to a real person.
Methinks the scam is on.

I STARTED GETTING CALLS ON MY HOME PHONE FROM 3G AND I KEEP PUTTING IN MY CELL NO ACCOUNT IT SAYS AND DONT KNOW HOW THEY GOT MY HOME NUMBER AND IT STARTED SAYING I OWED THEM 30.00 NOW ITS 160.00 DOLLARS THEY NEED TO LEAVE ME ALONE YOU CAN NOT TALK TO A PERSON THEY USE DIFFERENT NUMBERS WHEN THEY CALL TOO SCAM SCAM SCAM AND NOW THERE IS A NEW SCAME FROM SKYPE

I did accept a long distance call from my son using this carrier, I received phone calls from the company wanting payment but their automated billing system doesn't work. I tried logging into 3G collect to attempt to pay only to need an authorization code that was never sent to me. It prompted me if I didn't have a code to click here, it sent me to a page stating that they'd send me an email with the Authorization code. I am still waiting for my code so I can pay the bill. I still get calls from 3Gcollect wanting payment even though their automated payment system declines any effort to pay..

i am sick of them calling my house number dont know how they got it and i put my cell number in and says no account. i know cause i always paid for my calls ahead of time so how do you get my house phone and call 3-5 times a day. they are a scam

i have never gotten a collect call on my cell phone and some how they got my home number telling me i owe over a 100.00 dollars i always have used a real company but 3g calls my home and ask for my cell and says no account found so why can u not talk to a real person? scam scam scam they call my house at least 3-5 times a day and use a different number every time

they wont stop harassing me with 3 or 4 texts and calls daily. they lied about the fee, billing for 4 dollars more than the original authorization. they are a huge scam in my opinion.

Its sad that every story here sounds like the one before it and mine as well (no point in repeating 14 complaints) Social Networking is the life line for us, so to expose these lovely, hospitable, business people and try and help anyone from having to deal with this, Im choosing to copy this website and post it to facebook, twitter, and the good old Better Business Bureau... and my lawyer and making a police report... when they put it on my credit report for non payment and I have the copy of the deposited cashiers check from my bank court will be fun... all this for 20.00!

you are all right about this being a scam, i was at school and got a phone call they didn't say they were going to try and charge me $19.64 for the call they just said collect call from patty( my sister whom I haven't spoken with in years but it sounded like her, so I excepted ) then this creole woman gets on the line and ask for Darren ? I told her wrong number, and every since I get these text saying I owe 1963 which happens to be patty's birth year anyway who has had success with exposing these con artist.?

I went to make a payment to 3gcollect, and it told me that my transaction was denied, so I went to try again and now they took 2 payments out, and I left 2 messages with them to give one of the payments back and I had called all the numbers and all the numbers have been disconnected. Now I will go to my bank and let them fight them, and investigate and make them give me the payment back. I am tired of these companies that try to make people think that they are ligget and they are nothing but scams, and people wonder why I don't trust ANYONE!

Hi, I am getting the same text from 3gcollect everyday since Oct 21, 2012. I accepted a call thinking it was a family member also and it was wrong number. FEDUP WITH THE MESSAGE. What can I do?

I got a collect call from my sister that was just beating by her foyfriend when she was holding their baby when i excepted the call no one was there just a recording i cant get ahold of this company to talk to anyone so i am not going to pay this bill. I am getting text messages everyday from them at 7 am on the dot.Getting very sick of it! LJ nevada

We had a similar experience with 3gcollect. Our daughter was taken to the emergency room of a local hospital for seizures due to acute alcohol abuse and suicidal behavior. She called her father's cell using 3gcollect to let him know that she was being released, he accepted the call and the call was dropped before my husband could get one word out of his mouth. Now he is getting harassing texts from 3gcollect for a $21.04 payment. Because of the inability to of my husband to communicate with our daughter she was released to the street by the hospital and found several hours later by the police in an unresponsive state because she thought he hung up on her and didn't care if she lived or died. It appears to me that 3gcollect initiates itself with payphones at institution where the person most likely to use their "service" is in a vulnerable state and trying to reach a family member or loved one who can care for them.

I recieved a call from my sister who was in an abused womens shelter and I had to take the call (which they said would cost $15.99 plus "fees". The very next day started getting text messages every 30 minutes saying I needed to pay the bill. The day after that I started getting messages saying that my account would go to collections! I made the payment online but never recieved a conformation number that I had made the payment. I am seriously worried these people now have my credit card info and may use it! Does anyone know how to get a hold of an actual person from this company, and do you think I should be worried about them using my credit card?

I also received a collect from my son from a treatmentcenter and was told by a automated service that this call would cost $15.99 . It was not enoug that i had to pay such a cost for a call made only a few miles away but then started receiving several reminders per day to pay this bill. When I went to pay this bill you could tell that this company was a rip off to the public because you never get to talk to a real person. When all said and done this phone call cost me 24.00.. The money has been taken off of my card and I am still getting nasty reminders saying that I will be turned over to a collect agency to retrive this money... This agency is not legal and they sould have charges placed upon them. This is from a working mother who is mad they have ben scammed.. TJ from Montana

Found the owner's real info, not just the contact info for the company. Can't say which address actually belongs to him, I'm not sure. Might own all of them. But the phone number keeps coming back the same. There are seven addresses, mind you these are just the ones that are under his name. Could be family members, friends, etc. I'm sure they'd be interested in hearing about what a great scam artist Stephen is though! So please, don't hold back from sending your packages of bricks and fish (on collect, ) just send them to the properties he owns instead of his bogus company's PO Box.

At 9:48 pm i was woken to a phone call stating i had a collect call from...some name i could not understand..and thinking it was a family member or friend in trouble i accepted, the girl on the other line asked me who i was, I said my name and asked who it was, she then replied I think I have the wrong number and hung up. Shortly after I received a text informing me that 15.99 was due for my call and to send my payment to the P.O. Box 150 Cross River NY 10518. I am furious. So the next day I receive another text. and the next except this one stated that I accepted the call and to prevent interruption of services, and bad credit reporting i must pay now. well I dont think so! First off all they can try to lie to someone else that is more gulliable. And second I am a private investigator and Im smart enough to know a scam when I see it. Dont fall for this SCAM!

3gcoolect is a joke, and I think they are a rip-off. In Early July 2011, My husband went to visit our son In Canada, when he arrived in Canada his cell phone didnt work so he had to call me back in Indianapolis collect and the connecter just happen to be 3g collect. I accepted the charges of 12.95, however as soon as they connected me the call dropped. so the very next day I'm receiveing text messages from 3gcollect sayong that I owed the 12.95. I ve tried to get intouch with them on several tries and to no avail i get an automated system eveytime. So I refused to pay it becasue i dodnt think it was right for me to pay for soemthing that I did not use. now, they have takck on the fees 35.76, plus the original 12.99, totaling about 48.00 and some change. So I hae paid them and they have not sent the check thru my bank yet. I wonder do they want me to pauy by CC so they wil have access to my account.

I too am getting calls from 3G Collect saying my account balance is $19.64 and to enter my phone number which i did than it asked me for a credit card which I did NOT give them I hit 0 to try to talk to a real person instead it repeated itself to enter my credit card number. I have never made an account with 3G collect. Thing is I do not have caller display so I cannot see the number from which they are calling from and even if I did it would probably be bogus anyway. Does anyone know how to make these phone calls stop? They are eating up my minutes. I called my cell phone provider but unfortunately they cannot help. I have been on 3G Collect website but I'm afraid to give them any info in trying to terminate these call. If anyone can help please reply

1. On or about Tues., August 2nd 2011, 3gcollect.com transmitted numerous offers to receive collect calls, & follow-up Voicemail Messages innitiated by my wife.
2. The calls were made under an exclusive automated outbound calling system associated with a Verizon Payphone.
3. The Payphone, having the call-in number [protected], is located in an Acute Care Psychiatric Hospital Ward, in MD, USA.
4. This payphone is provided specifically for Patients, all of which at any time are suffering from acute Psychiatric symptoms.
5. It must be presumed that most outbound calls made from this phone will be to family members, or other emotionally connected individuals.
6. The calls, offering Collect Service, were placed by 3gcollect.com to my Work Cell Phone, a Verizon Wireless Cell Acct which was originated & is paid for by a Business Owner for whom I am a Consultant.
7. Each time I received the Automated Calls from 3gcollect.com, upon hearing the offer to accept a charge of $15.99 for the call (or message), I immediately pressed "END" on my phone, thereby ending the call from 3gcollect.com. This occurred approximately 10 to 12 times, as I recall on the same day, encompassing both Call & Message offers.
8. In no case did I take any action by which I might be said to have accepted any Calls / Messages nor any Charges. Each call offering a Collect Connection was disconnected immediately upon hearing the Offered Price.
BUT:
9. On Wed., August 3rd, 2011, I received a proported "INVOICE" from 3gcollect.com, by Text Message on the above Cell Phone which read:

This is plain out FRAUD, but would be PREDATORY BUSINESS PRACTICE even if I had in fact accepted.
What's more, theyve repeatedly Texted me reminders, & have now threatened "Collections".
Verizon Business - Fraud Dept is no help... they're located abroad & have no understanding of US Fraud Law!
I've sent the above to support @ 3gcollect.com, with a NOTICE OF INTENT TO PROSECUTE, & SUIT WARNING, including a "CEASE ALL ACTIVITIES" DIRECTIVE.
