AirTel cheating everyone in India!

I am using airtel connection more than 6 years, since past 3 years i see airtel cheats everyone in india. In such a way they use marketing tactics get customer and cheat them. Now this is new way in india big telephone companies are start cheating. It was my 5th time i was cheated by airtel about false information. Everyone knows that interstate for calls made local by bharathi (airtel) and bsnl. Recently i got sms message like ' recharge for 440 get rs 100 normal talktime and 400 mins of free local airtel to airtel talktime'. I got recharged and i got rs 100 talktime and 400 mins aitel to airtel. But the think is after i made several calls to my brother, he is in same state and another city i got charged from my normal talktime. Airtel gives the meaning that here local means only local city it seems, i called up asked about this and i got shocked 'airtel knowingly does everything ' - 'airtel the clever cheater' the call center guys are also gives the same meaning that what i was that, after they clarified with the manager, they can able to give different meaning.

So far at least i inquired many who're unwillingly holding that number just sake of retain the old number. This is really f***ing company. Don't get cheated. Almost it cheats everyone in different way. Many people are crying because of these cheats.

Beware of airtel. Go for bsnl or reliance (these guys having poor service but never cheats others).

I will be requiring my incoming call details for my no 9860091718, this is my corporate no and i use it for my official purpose only.

Due to the network conjunction specially in the evening i am loosing lot on my clients so if i get a incoming call list. Even if this service is charged to me i am ready to pay for it.

I am already using 3 numbers ( 9860091718,9860091719,9970180719).

If this details is provided to me on my mail id also is ok for me.

Even after the payment of bill before the due date . Outgoing calls had been barred, after repeated telling to the persons calling from the mohali airtel office about my payment to the distributor at the company.

Recently Airtel Company Launched Scheme of Rs. 2400/- talktime with LG-110 Handset + 2 Years Incoming Free. I impressed on Scheme & I purchased 1 Phone from Airtel Seller at Kolhapur on 21-05-2007, At time of purchases seller asked me the documents for Card Activation. Immediately I submit him 1 Photo & Licence Xerox. Seller told me that after document verification your incoming & Outgoing will be started. On 23-05-2007 my incoming & outgoing facility started at 11.00 p.m. (Phone Number 9860744199).

Accidentally on 08-06-2007 my Incoming & Outgoing facility being closed. Immediately I contacted to Airtel Call Center. Call Centre replied me to Go at Airtel Relation Center near S.T.Stand. I go there on 9-6-07, I told them the problem. But madam told me that the system is down & she also told me that don't worry the validity is 2 years, automatically phone start within 24 Hours.

Again on 11-6-07 I go there, she told me to go in Rajarampuri Airtel Relation Center. I immediately visited there, the madam from the office told me to change the sim card & also talked the problem of my phone to Poona Office & also told me to come after 2 or 3 Days. I go there on 14-6-07 She told me that change the sim, automatically your problem will be solved. I go at S.T. stand office for change of SIM, but the madam from that office that Phone Incoming & outgoing will not be started by changing SIM & told me to go at Seller. I immediately contacted Seller, seller told me to come on 17-6-07 after contacting to airtel Kolhapur Prepaid Executive. On 17-6-07 Seller told me that he is not responsible of phone disconnection. Seller also gives me the contact number of Shri Vyanktesh ( Airtel Prepaid Manager, Kolhapur ). I immediately contacted him, I told my problem to him. He told me to contact on 19-06-07. I contacted him on 19-6 He was ignoring me on that day. Afternoon he replied, because of documents are uncleared your phone is deleted from system & Also told me that he could not do anything in this matter. I immediately go to the seller, He told & shown me the document.

If my phone is started on 23-5-06 after document submission, then why company disconnect my phone. Is not there any responsible person that at the time of documents of verification, he must send me SMS or call for disconnection of phone. This is very irreverent task done by company executives, Airtel Relation Center, Call Center, Kolhapur Office.

If my incoming & outgoing facility is 2 Years then there is no any rights to company to disconnect the phone without any intimation. Also i have Rs. 2,400/- talktime on the phone.

I also printed the same to my visiting card. Now company must reply regarding the matter, because there is no any person in kolhapur to solve & give me the answer me.

I have a Airtel connection in my number is 9831272880. In which I recharge every month Rs 98 for less my call rates and I get Rs 300 SMS every month, in this i got the sms value but after 20 days my sms value show 0 then I ask the customer care they say that it can happen and If I want to do any complains then I can do it anywhere. And disconnected the line without giving proper answer.

Hi, I'm a foreigner who is living in Mumbai for 2 month.

I bought Airtel pre-paid SIM card 2month ago and I used without problem for 1 month. (I submitted my passport, company ID, Employment Visa invitation letter from Indian company etc.)

After 1 month later, I recharged Rs.3000 into my SIM card. But, around 3 weeks ago, Airtel suddenly permanently disconnected my number without any notice with my balance of Rs. 2500.

I complained about this and Airtel told me that My document which I've submitted was not enough to maintain my number.

Ok!(I accepted their reason, even if I work for very big Indian company an my all documents are came from that company). And I asked them about my remained balance Rs. 2500. But, they told me that they cannot give my balance back to me also. I went Airtel customer care office for several times( this also costs around Rs.1000 and I spend whole day for this complain), But their answer is always same.

How can I figure out this problem?

I saw the advertisement for the hello tune of Movie Naquab and they gave the number to dial and download the hello song. Even after multiple attempts( As you know airtel works very slow when u download a hello tune. A lady keeps speaking to increase the bill). I was unable to download the song. Called Airtel cust care and they informed that they are not offering that song. And media is to be blamed for it. He in fact told me that media people have not taken permission from Airtel to advertisement. I asked him to connect to his manager and to my surprise as usual he informed me that there is no manager available in the office and promised to arrange a call back from one of the managers with in 3 hrs. Again as usual no one called and when I called back after 1 day I was informed that they will not be able to help me with this as it is my mistake that I tried downloading the hello tune with out consulting Customer care. They also suggested me not to download songs until I speak to a customer care rep next time.

Finally this the the pathetic service Airtel gives and advertises as they are the best.

I m an Airtel Lifetime Subscriber. I had activated Airtel LOCAl scheme when it charges 49 Paise per call with deduction of 1.50 Rs. per day. While Taking this scheme i had been asked in customer care that whether this scheme will be for forever??? Because i m taking lifetime scheme only because of this local 49 Paise scheme. So he told me that, it will never be close until i will not deactivated. But suddenly one day my call charges was increased from 49 paise to 99 paise. It more than double. It kind of cheating to me from airtel scheme. Because its now more than one month i m using this scheme and paying 99 paise for per call. But its really very ridiculously for me that i choose airtel card in my cell phone. And why airtel make double my call charges.

I Rahul Choudhary with mobile no. 9987013682. My outgoing service has been stopped without providing any sort of information.

I have called thrice to the customer care and hell lot of time was wasted in just connecting to them. I had a talk with Veenu Joshi, Vijay and I don't know the name of the third person who was very rude to me. I just wanted to talk to the supervisor to know why my outgoing service has been stopped without even informing me in spite off submitting all the documents. But none of them connected me to the supervisor or to the concerned person and even the third person asked me to go to the airtel gallery and to find out myself.

I purchased a prepaid connection for 599/- on July 01, 2007 from Airtel Customer relationship center, Vashi. I was told that the address verification will be done on the next day and simcard will be activated within 2 days. Even after visiting twice to the Airtel Customer relationship center, Vashi to give reminders the address verification is not yet done and sim is inactive as on July 23, 2007.

I'm airtel subscriber airtel near about 1 year. Actually my balance was deducted 40 /- Rs in every month i was called customer care but i cant get good response from them.

And one thing these facilities i cant start from my mobile. Its too much i want my balance which deduct from.

This is Arul from Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu). My dealer was FOS Shalom Enterpri with mobile 09894018610. I used the demo sim (500 min free airtel-airtel) without doing the business. Then I got a message that my tariff changed to students pack. I contact with my dealer and he told me to sell 5 sims & put 10000 stock with in a month. I do everything as he told but still he said Airtel main branch in Chennai was not responding to them so they can't do anything in my sim. My Number is 9894731864. I had spent a lot of amount on it.

I agree that this is one company one should avoid at all costs.

It's my bad luck that I became their customer. Their billing has major issues and when you write to them they are either non-responsive or make false promises or take inadequate actions so that you get some comfort (enough for you to continue and enough for them also to make you suffer!).

Unfortunately once you have circulated your landline/mobile numbers amongst everyone changing it is difficult. I heard that Government is thinking of number portability - I am just waiting for that day!!!

I have been observing that whenever i make calls, especially ISD/STD calls & try to terminate the call 1-3 seconds before the next pulse starts, it invariably carries forward to the next pulse & I end up paying for the full pulse even though I have not used any talk time for that pulse.

Initially, I did not notice this, but now it is quite evident that this is how the software has perhaps been written to "increase" the billing!!

Has this been bought to the notice of TRAI or OMBUDSMAN or MRTPC? The erring company(AIRTEL) should be asked to pay damages/penalties worth a few hundred crores, as they would have made much more than that with a minor "adjustment" in the software.

airtel is a big cheating company it cheats its all customers . From last five years i use airtel prepaid card when i bought that connection at that time it was student sim..
dialy 100 sms free but now they withdraw their message offer without any intimation now they again release free sms offer and call rte is also 50 paise..
AIRTEL is indias no1 CHEATING company ....
it easily make customers as fools ... and if you call to customer care more than 5 times they block your calls so afterwards what cn we do??????????????????
