AirTel cheating everyone in India!

I am using airtel connection more than 6 years, since past 3 years i see airtel cheats everyone in india. In such a way they use marketing tactics get customer and cheat them. Now this is new way in india big telephone companies are start cheating. It was my 5th time i was cheated by airtel about false information. Everyone knows that interstate for calls made local by bharathi (airtel) and bsnl. Recently i got sms message like ' recharge for 440 get rs 100 normal talktime and 400 mins of free local airtel to airtel talktime'. I got recharged and i got rs 100 talktime and 400 mins aitel to airtel. But the think is after i made several calls to my brother, he is in same state and another city i got charged from my normal talktime. Airtel gives the meaning that here local means only local city it seems, i called up asked about this and i got shocked 'airtel knowingly does everything ' - 'airtel the clever cheater' the call center guys are also gives the same meaning that what i was that, after they clarified with the manager, they can able to give different meaning.

So far at least i inquired many who're unwillingly holding that number just sake of retain the old number. This is really f***ing company. Don't get cheated. Almost it cheats everyone in different way. Many people are crying because of these cheats.

Beware of airtel. Go for bsnl or reliance (these guys having poor service but never cheats others).

The broadband connection was disconnected, But the telephone line was not disconnected so far.

Also rental was charged so far for the telephone.

There is no response to attend this complaint. The complaint was given more than 25 times.

I used online banking facility provided by my bank (Citibank) to refill my prepaid airtel account through a top-up of Rs. 777. Upon querying your toll free number with RC 777 the information that I received is as follows:

Calling Value 692.27
Validity 0 days
Processing Fee 0
Tax 84.73

However the amount that was credited to my airtel prepaid account was only Rs593. Upon talking to Airtel C S E, I was told that Rs. 99 have been deducted as processing fee. Now, this amounts to cheating. This is completely in contrast with the information that they furnished. They told us that no processing fee would be levied, but, when a customer pays them the money they forcibly extort money by way of giving him wrong information.

This company provide call India telephone service and request customers to register online. The customers use their credit/debit cards to register. They end up with no userid/account number. The amount is credited from account by paypal and then to airtel. God this money will not come back and the customer representatives and their supervisors are a real liers.

They keep on creating tickets and will close as you hang up the call without action. Useless service. Reliance is always better.

What a funny service Airtel is providing to the outstation persons!!! From the very bottom line to the top management is supposed to be trained for robbery instead of serving good quality service to its customers. Myself Mr. Santanu Mitra has really horrible experience with Airtel connections. First I've taken prepaid connection and submitted the copy of my passport, photo and my company's letter certifying that I am an outstation candidate and I reside at the following address. They started my connection and without any notification they have closed my connection within 10 days and then I called Airtel's customer care and I came to know to start my connection I have to submit the documents once again because the address proof is not sufficient and I have to give the copy of my electricity bill and I told them that the bill is in my flat owner's name they had still accepted that one and started my connection and within two days again they have closed the connection and again calling their blunt customer care guys and their outlet employees I came to know I have to submit the electric bill with my name instead they know that I am outstation person. Foolishness has limits but those Airtel guys has common sense. Thus they mean that to take Airtel connection I have to purchase a flat or premises and then I should apply for Airtel connection. I have submitted the same documents thrice instead I have suffered for the same. Then being extremely irritated I have applied for the Airtel Postpaid connection as some of their outlet employee has assured me that I will no longer be suffered from the connection problems in postpaid. I applied and within two days they started the same funny kind of things. I asked the outlet persons and they are now telling they don't have any information that what kind of documents the outstation persons should submit so that to get rid of this problems. But at the time of new connection they used to take money and after that giving worst service to the customers. Actually I suppose the Airtel call centre guys and as well as the outlet guys are not properly trained to deal the customers and they don't have the proper information to provide the customers.
I think Airtel should close their telecommunication business and start new training centre for robbery.

I have closed and terminated my Airtel postpaid connection before 6 months (July 2006). I have been charged Rs.1006 as a extra rental for 3 months. (Rs.335/month) for the month of October, November and December 2006. Inspite of several emails and complaints to the airtel customer service. There is no proper response yet.

Hello, I have a airtel postpaid connection. I had given this number to airtel for safe custody for 3 months as I had to go to UK. Initially agreed and they asked me to write an email. I did but now they say that they can keep the number only for 2 months and I have to pay Rs 150 each month for them to keep it under safe custody. Really irritating. I want to escalate this to TRAI but want a proper response from Airtel before I do so.

I had once activated GPRS on my mobile and tried to deactivated it after its use.

But that bastards Airtel deduct my balance by Rs.11.99 everyday for GPRS use. I confirmed with those fucker customer care executive and they said that GPRS is inactive.Then why the hell my balance is getting deducted?

Airtel Customer care executive are careless and not qualified too to handle the customers.

I am using airtel connection from the past 6 months. They were reducing money unnecessary. I face this prob. I got one msg who are recharge with 97 rs they will get 300 rs worth of sms. I recharged with 97 rs and i get 300 rs. I have send sent sms to my friends on 31st December, 2006. When i sent sms the is balance is deducted from my balance, i call to customer care regarding this, they said 31st dec, 2006 is black day. With out sending any sms, i mean on that day is black day. I have not received any sms. They reduced my balance unnecessary. I gave several complaints about this matter, i have not received even single feed back. Thats why i say to all people " beware of airtel". I think better we go to bsnl or hutch.

Sub: Airtel SUCKS consumers - Bloody makes fool of them

Anytime one recharges Airtel mobile from the online recharge system on internet, Airtel will always recharge with validity increase and deducts the validity increase charges, which is quite a huge amount, more than 40% of the recharge amount. Then you know, how much the validity is increased? Its bloody 30 days from the date of recharge irrespective of your remaining validity. Even if you have 29 days remaining validity as of now, the online recharge will increase the validity by 1 day and will deduct the charge for increasing validity. Is anybody aware of this. Can anybody, any regulating authority do something about this. I think this should be brought into the notice of TRAI. Never know what TRAI can do about this. Still be informed.

Sub: Wrongful deductions

I had deactivated GPRS on the 8th of march.This notorious service provider (Airtel)has continued deducting Rs 11.99/day from my account. This continued for 12-13 days despite calling their customer care centre repeatedly and registering my complaint each time. They conveyed to me that indeed the deductions took place due to a technical fault and that it would be credited back into my prepaid account within 24 hrs. But even after 24 days i have not received anything.

I then decided to keep GPRS activated since the deductions of Rs11.99 continued unabated despite the complaints.Now, my plight is even more worse as everyday Rs 11.99 is being deducted from my prepaid account twice daily.

Can someone stop this daylight robbery by this mobile service provider called AIRTEL? Could someone help me get back my hard earned money from these looters?? I would indeed be thankful to them.

Sub: Unauthorized use of credit card

Never used this company; never gave this company any information, however today I noticed several illegal charges on my credit card account. Called my bank asap and they were not able to get any useful information about these charges from AirTel, customer service from AirTel is no help and refuses to try and help.

The airtel services is beginning to look like a complete scam considering requests are not attended to and via m y airtel connection i can never get in touch with a customer care executive.

The helpline is pathetic and in fact i asked the guy to register a complaint and all he said was yes it will be done but i dont think it was. I asked him twice to do it immediately and the only reply i got was yes maam!!!

What sh*t is up with airtel connection.

Some times sms sent r never sent. The charges fluctuate as and when they want. At time i am charged 2 bucks per sms where as my rates are 1 buck... And then after a few days it goes back to normal... What airtel is trying to do???

More over i cant even call helpline to register a complaint. Disgusting ppl have become!!!

I m considering a change in my connection!!!

Sub: 91-9945533573 - cheating on online recharging through ICICIBANK

I have recharged my mobile through my ICICIBANK saving bank account on 13/04/07 it is not been recharged by Air tell . I sent several emails but reply from air tell is only auto we will revert back to you withing 24 hours. I lost 560 rupees. This is the only organization is having no response customer care division.

Sub: Fake claims - bundle of LIES!

I don't know how can they make such "Tall & Fake Claims" of "Atoot Network". They claim through their advertisements that "Airtel" works in "Rural Areas" & at the "Remote altitude of Leh-Ladakh" but the fact is in "Complete Contradiction" to this!!!

Forget about "LEH"; Airtel do not works in many parts of "Capital-New Delhi"!!!.. My own Area "Keshav Puram" falls under their "Network Deprived" Category & they fully acknowledge this fact... only to make more "FAKE CLAIMS"!!!

Signals are not even bare "Minimum to RECEIVE A CALL"... FORGET about "Making one"!!! As soon as you'll try to receive; it'll get CUT-OFF!!!

Unfortunately, TRAI-so called REGULATOR has also turned "BLIND EYE" to such "Eyewash" going all over the country!!! You cannot expect;any miracle from any Govt. Body in this "PUPPET Govt." regime... with the "Sincere silly faced Sardarji" as its Head!!!

I am using Airtel Prepaid service. And I am habituated about the Airtel service for Communication. I really admire the service provided by the Airtel till date but I am facing the following problem: I had activated NOP service but later on i deactivated it. But after deactivation of NOP still i have been debited the Charges of Rs. 5/- daily. Despite of repetitive compliant registered at you call center no. the problem still persist. I am calling your call center no. again and again since last ONE and HALF Month. And each time i got the same answer that the deduction is made due to our system problem and you will get reimbursement for the same and your deduction will be stopped within 48 hrs. I used to call every 48 hrs, but same answer i got. I got irritated because of your daily deduction and calling you people again and again.

This is to remind you please resolve the issue as soon as possible otherwise i have to stop using Airtel Service or Move to Consumer Redress Authority or TRAI for the same.

Yes Airtel is cheater. After activating gprs I have seen that 2-3 times they deduct twice charge like instead of 11.99 they deduct 23.98. And on completing to their customer care they replied it's automated process. Also, I unable to talk with customer care after that incident. After calling no.121 , it replied that send SMS. When i send SMS I never get reply.

Yes, it is true. They are the born criminal among other net work providers.

They used to trick the customers in various ways and means. Only because my number is being circulated for more than 6-7 years for professional contact, i am having this air tel. But now i parallely using one other net work to drop it in the course of time...

My sincere request is, home users and non-professionals may surrender this air tel connections and go to bsnl, though the service seems little poor, the billing will not be fraudulent, and the customer care is best one...
