Signed up for service I never received and did not want or need!

CIC is billing me monthly for a service I do not use, do not need and can't seem to stop. I will call them, write them, report them to the BBB and to the attorney general. Shame on CIC!

I called the 1-877-481-6825 and got the membership cancelled fortunately. The lady I spoke to said that when you are on freecreditreport.com, on the left hand side of the screen is where it claims that the service is a "trial" and after 30 days, you will be charged. I got charged $14.95, so I guess they went up $2 on the fee. She said I would get a confirmation email within 2 hours confirming the cancellation. We'll see how that goes...

I also have had unauthorized monthly charges in February and March at $14.95 for a 'service' I did not request, after looking into the 'Free Credit Report.com" site. I will turn this in to the Illinois Attorney General's office, since I don't think FCC is the venue. Will see.

just called to cancelt the charges... can't get any of my money refunded... at this point just wanted to get it over with... was on the phone for 33 MINUTES while the associate read scripted prompts offering me other services and other things to sign up AND GET CHARGED MORE FOR. the only words that came out of my mouth the entire conversation were "no thank you, " "i'm not interested, " and "i would just like to cancel my charges." after a half an hour the guy finally did it, but not before reassuring me that UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WOULD I BE REFUNDED THE CHARGES THAT HAD ACRUED. they obviously know what's up and have to cover their tracks by saying that. when i asked for contact info for a supervisor or someone i could speak to in customer service they guy REFUSED to give me any info, referring me back to the terms and conditions at freecreditreport.com that i had to have signed up for. crap, complete cr*p!

Look I understand that all you ppl are upset. It is stated on the website and the terms and condition section. Just read. You should read anything you put your ssn and cc # in. They are a good company and really help you out by letting you know thru email any changes to your report. They have GREAT benefits. You might call it "FINE PRINT" but its there. I understand it is called "free credit report" and it is, just like on commercial about a "free car" there is always a catch to something that says free.

Ach! I just found out I have been paying CIC since August, giving them over 90 dollars of my money without even knowing it! Not only that, I requested to speak with a supervisor after the CS person gave me the run around, and the supervisor hung up on me!! I filed a complaint with the BBB, then the FTC, then my state atty. I am going to write to their address to get my money back!! Such a scam!!

I enjoyed the service until I found out that they were charging me $12 a month. FreeCreditReport.com is just another deceiving company that gets away with lying to the American consumer. They should be banned!

Here's the phone # to cancel: 1-877-481-6825 . They will try to keep you on by offering another, cheaper plan but don't do it. They'll just find another way to charge you without you knowing.

I have tried to cancel my subscription and my card is still being charged the 12.95 and I can't really do anything because I can't call overseas. I emailed and this response was sent but charges are still being debited. What can I do to stop this transaction from going through.

I sign up and cancel the service with in 30 days because I only used it once. I notice that theywas billing me for the service and I ask to speak with mgmt, they advice me that they where not going to give me anybody name or number and refuse to credit me back for the 14.95. I feel that this is the biggest rip off!!!

I actually signed up for this service and later attempted to cancel it because I didn't really need the service. They continued to charge my credit card for the next 3 months after repeated attempts to stop the charges. What I ended up doing was filing a dispute with my bank and was refunded what was due. And my bank also cancelled my credit card and reissued me a new one with a new account number. No charges since.

They did the same thing to me! Only it overdrew my acct and is now costing my home because I didnt know about it until after it was taken out of my acct. The reps were rude to me and the supervisor was so rude he hung up on me. I tried canceling it. They didnt want to take no for an answer! They even had the audacity to ask me to keep their service! The nerve of them!

I fucking hate this company. I have been charged for over a year and I missed it. I have plenty of money so it's not the money issue, but how does this happen issue instead. I have decided that I am going to personally fly to their headquarters to punch several people in the face and then piss on their faces when they are laying on the ground covered in their own blood. I know this sounds terrible, but these people are rude, and need to be sought after by the BBB. People take action against those who have wronged you!

This company has been charging me 12.95 for over a year ive been tring to cancle ..so i just cancled my credit card account to stop them!! To date ive paid them 194.25 for something i dont used and even know what it is!!!
