Refused order!
Complaint Rating: 40 % with 5 votes
Here's my nightmare with 2checkout.com...

Customer placed a $49,000 order. Later that day it passed 2CO fraud review.
This was my indication that the order was good and the following day I initiated the process of filling the order. Three days later, after the order had been sent off to the customer, I called 2CO because I was concerned that the payment hadn't been processed. Larry assured me that although it hadn't made this week's payment cycle it would certainly be on the following week's. He further assured me that the payment was guaranteed as it had been approved by the bank.

An hour or so later I received notification via email that the order had been canceled by 2CO and refunded to the customer. As a consequence of this action I am now left scrambling trying to recover the goods which will not only cost me to have returned, providing I am able to do this, but I am also out of pocket the potential profit from the sale.

2CO website states: "... accounts whose sales level drastically rises, will be subjected to our account verification process. This process is typically done through voice verification with the end user of the service or product.
While this process is usually seamless, difficulty in verifying the legitimacy and status of your account can result in the delay of your initial payments."
Notice that it says this can delay payments, not cancel orders. Did 2CO, in fact, try to notify the end user to verify the order? If so, what was the result? No answer. If not, why not? Why was I not notified immediately rather than several days later, after I had shipped the order? 2checkout.com has been unable or unwilling to answer these questions.

I have been a customer of 2CO for a number of years. Now I'm an ex-customer. I would caution anyone considering using their services to do so at their own risk.

I fully understand your problems with 2CO; the same thing happened to us. They issue a refund without contacting our firm to ascertain if the item was shipped or not. We actually found out by our client that they received a refund notification.

A person that is not up to any good, can order a product from a 2CO vendor and once the person knows that the item has been shipped, they can demand a refund from 2CO.

I highly recommend that merchants should not deal with 2CO, they will damage you company's image; if you cannot obtain a merchant account, ask your clients to send a wire transfer payment. This may be difficult at first, but if you are legal, this will be the best way for the long term.

2checkout is the worst piece of crap i have ever encountered. i had problems receiving a refund from a vendor once. i had contacted the vendor over and over and finally asked 2co to refund my money. it took them over a week to do so. despite this, i blamed the merchant not 2co. little did i know...

i decided to close my merchant account b/c at the end of the day, even though 2co was more expensive, with authorize.net AND my merchant fees, i'm pretty much shelling out the same amount. i too was lied to by SEVERAL 2co reps. they're snide, nasty and liars. i'm trying to figure out a way to file a complaint and if need be, will contact visa and mastercard because this company SUCKS! use paypal if you must but avoid 2CO.

There collections department is managed by a person who was disbarred from practicing law. They suck as a company. They process my payment, and even after the client called in to confirm a payment was not fraud they still refused to release the money, this is a common practice.

I refunded the client and had the client pay me via a real company, 2checkout charged me for the refund to my client even though it was there error that caused the payment not to be made. They suck.

They are questionable, but protected by equally questionable forces.

I have grown to dislike them, and would recommend that others seek out better payment processors.

They are in disfavor with me, and I am not amused with them.
