Beware buyer. I ordered from this company Skate America 2 months ago a pair of shoes. So a week goes by, they send an e-mail apologizing for the delay and that my order will soon arrive. Next week and then again same deal as before the promised e-mail. And you can figure this has happened for 2 months now. There is no contact phone number on the site. There is only a send a note to the company and we'll contact you back shortly in which they of course do not. What am I supposed to do?? I'm sure I am not the only person this has happened to!

I give advice to people who do order from the Internet, only order from sites you trust and if your friends order from that same site, get advice from others. If the site has it's phone number on it, it may be safe but you know you can't trust everything you see on the Internet.

Thank you to those who agree. And we must put a stop to this maddness! Can anyone give me a site trustworthy?

I worked for Skate America for a long time. The company is not all that everyone on this site is making it out to be. Everything that you are hearing on this site is just the bad. If you look at the percentage of people with complaints versus the ones who got their product fine, there is a large gap(maybe not on this site). However I do not agree with their customer service practice. It is just down right horrible! The times I complained to managment that we cannot treat customers the way we do was uncountable! If you are looking for some skate stuff, go and support you local shop. Stop purchasing online and give the little guy a chance. If your shop doesn't have what you are looking for, my suggestion is find another online shop. Skate America was a great place to work, loved everyone there (except the owner) but the all around business practice needs a lot of work.

I placed an order for an item that said "Ships in 5-7 Days". There was a delay to have the product shipped because they had to get it from their distributor, hence the 5-7 day notice. Everything went great on my order and it shipped just before the 7th day. Ignore the numbers posted here. They have a customer service number posted on their site in the My Account section and they are there from 9-5 monday thru friday Mountain. I called to ask a question about my order and got through immediately.

If you don't have the number it is 800-595-5311.

If you want the selection then sometimes you have to wait a little. It beats other sites that have the same old stuff.

Shit I read this all to late.. I already ordered for 400 USD..

They give me the same story its shipped and it can take up to 3 weeks in customs etc etc..

But a way to harm them and finnally closing down the company could be to write to ALL there suppliers , that I am sure they dont accept this and can force them to remove there brands from there website.. And with no brands NO SKATE A...

I hope I get my stuff still.. But now I am getting really nervous..

I am from Norway and I bought clothes for around 350$ in AUGUST 07!!

I ordered 10 different things, I got 2 of them after 3months, and I started sending e-mails where they told me to fax them copy of credit card and on and on. So I did, but the clothes never came. I got pissed and sent like 5 e-mails, they said they would refund my money back, but I dont think they have yet.

SHIT COMPANY. DONT BUY FROM THEM!

I live in Denver and have bought numerous things from Skate America in the passed 8 months. They employ skater kids and it looks like a pretty fun job. I have a good stable job so I wouldn't consider working there. Everything I've ordered has been there in at least 2 weeks. I was looking around online and crossed this blog. I honestly don't think they are a bad company. The reason they don't have the stuff in stock is because the vendor doesn't have it available. I got a tour of the warehouse after work hours and it looked like a legit company, but then again all I did was walk around the place for 5 minutes. They're receiving department had tons of boxes of stock and it was pretty cool. Give them a chance. I don't think they're that bad. If they give skater kids a place to work and play I'm all for it. Be patient because if you spend 500$ on products, chances are they won't have it to ship all at once 2 days after you order it. The skate industry is booming and it's hard to keep all that stuff in stock. There's no possible way for them to keep all the stuff on the site in stock at all times. They still have the best selection of products compared to any other online skate dealer. Just be patient and there is a way to get a hold of customer service because I have spoke to them numerous times about my orders. I think it could be worse.

This company is a total scam, what happened to me was:
I ordered about 600$ in that order most were products of és Brand, first problem (when the order was done) I recive automated mails saying that they can't send és, emerica or etnies overseas so I have to change this products. I paid for products that they can't send me the only option they gave me was add other products, no money back was possible :(
I rearranged my order buying things I really don't want cause was impossible contact with SA, they only send automated messages with their fucking bots.
As most of ther users posting here, I received a small package with about 150$ in clothing (my total order was more than 600$), the rest of the items was suppoused to be sent in about one week, but each week the shipping date was updated to a week more.
The story began more than one mounth ago, I think they send some items so you expect to get the rest soon, when you notice the products dosn't came the bank has done the paiment so you can't cancel it.
I'm not American so I don't know how the laws works in there, but here a company such SA could be sued. If anyone is from USA and can demand SA it will very helpfull.

I am the owner of skate america and just so you know im the biggest jew in the world...you won't get your order if you aren't american because we charge your card for stuff you can't receive because of laws we know about but don't bother to tell you about. That is we don't tell you this until we charge your card idiots! after we charge your card for $500 of shit that can't be sent overseas, we don't want to lose your business so we try and swindle you into buying garbage we have lying around like $3 skate america flea market quality shirts! wouldnt you rather have $500 in garbage then the $500 worth of product you ordered which we could have the knowledge to tell you ahead of time that can't be sent overseas? I'm glad to see that I'm not the only person who is annoyed about this service which is out of the question.
Two month are over now and I haven't received the goods ordered by me!

The delivery date is based on the manufactures delivery date?
That's ridiculous! No manufactures needs two month to deliver his goods.
