Scam or true!

On the 16th August 2007 i've got a txt message from Nokia UK saying that I won 182,000 pounds from the Nokia Mobile Promo. I've send them an e mail which is (nokia.inquiry@uk2.net and to call at +447045724899). I send them an email, on the morning of 16 August and again the afternoon on the 17th August as I did not hear from them in response of my email. In the evening I received a call from someone, claiming to phone on behalf of Nokia UK regarding my email. He apologized for not responding earlier and said that they will still forward me a document. So for I did not receive any such a document.

After reading some complains in the same regard, I am now in doubt. Is this true that Nokia UK are having us receiving this money or is this a scam?

i also received a similar message on 13-0308.Obviously the scam still goes on.Nokia didnt do anything regarding the matter . The sender was Dr anthony floyd and his phone number is+00447045757563 .To be honest i called the guy and im pretty good with guessing nationalities and i woulld say hes a black african .I told im that im coming personally to London and when i said that his english really got bad He didnt know what to say.I sent an email writting the same thing and i didnt get any replay.So people out there dont hurry paying courier fees or sending yr id copy .The address they said u can collect money from is 2nd floor BERKLEY SQUARE HOUSE ,W1J 6BD LONDON UK .U can always verify the address and see if its true

On 12th Mar, 2008 at midnight received SMS on my mobile no. stating that I have won GBP 170,000 on Nokia Mobile sweepstates. On further contact through emails, received information to contact Nokia Cash Officer Dr Thomas M. Philip (Tel: +44-704-574-7575 and fax No. +44-700-602-0772). Even called them to their Mobile No. for confirmation and he said that to check the Email for further action. Later on submitted the required information Viz. copies of the passport and the Driving License etc. for verification process. Soon after received confirmation that I am eligible for the said amount and advised me collect the cheque through DHL, Fedex etc. by paying huge amount for the courier service or else to opt for direct remittance to my account through swift code and paying GBP 2,500/- encrypted bank card for further process to get it credited fast without any further delay. I am in doubt if the situation is real and true in nature, why should I do all these formalities? If it is genuine I can pay the courier service charges. However, prior to getting the courier,I am advised to deposit the money in Western Union exchange in advance. It seems it is very fictious and unable to assess the genuineness of this lottery. Original Nokia company should check for these fraudalent lotteries and to caution the public for not indulging in fake emails etc. It is quite certain that some of the persons will be really duped and empty their pockets by spending huge amount and finally land in troubles.
DONT BELIEVE THESE UNSCRUPULOUS EMAILS AND UNWANTED SMS to the mobile numbers.

Just like most others, with their complaints, I too have received this SMS when I was in Oman, thats where I work and had a Nokia phone then. Surprised to know how did they get my Mobile # in Oman. Secondly, I have reached such a stage as in where I have been asked to send phenomenal amounts just for couriering the SO CALLED CHEQUE/DRAFT... amounts like GBP 450+. Are they sending this courier to the Moon or Mars!!! When such couriers should not even cost peanuts considering the Insurance cover etc etc...

C'mon Mr.Anthony Floyd, you can misspell my name once but not on 3 counts... moreover the English in the emails sent to me is attrocious. Perhaps a 3rd grade kid could write better. Sorry Mr. Floyd, but looks like you have goofed up big time...

I have received a sms saying that I have won 110, 000 / - British Pounds, in Nokia Mobile Promotion and to call +442081335591 for claims with a Verification No. sent by them. After sending those with my personnal details they sent more e mails to me. (Named Bruce James ). Another e mail sent by James H. Anderson from Nokia Promo Processing Dept., U.K. asking me to contact Nokia Egypt Dispatch Payment Center for claim the prize money.

Next day I received a response from Egypt asking me to send 500/ -British Pounds as mailing and documentation charges ( Mrs. Clara David, Regional Manager, Cairo, Egypt ).

I am searching thru the Internet (whether this is a fact or a fraud ) to find the truth.
